Bucktommy drunken confessions🤭🤭
Please pick up your boyfriend, Howie texts just after 2 a.m.
Evan used his day off to help his brother-in-law assemble some furniture for Jee-Yun's new nursery – apparently, she’s outgrown her crib and is in dire need of some “big girl” room. For some reason, their DIY afternoon ended up turning into a boozy evening, and with Maddie on a shift and Howie obviously buzzed, it’s probably best to keep Evan from getting in his car. Luckily Jee-Yun is sleeping at Hen and Karen's tonight, because when Tommy arrives, her bed looks half-finished. The two men, on the other hand, look all the more done.
Howie's hair is tousled as if Jee-Yun has driven her Barbie truck through it, but he’s tipsy at most – Tommy knows that man can drink. Evan, however… well. Evan presents a lot of his chest; his shirt is half unbuttoned like in a 70s porn – it’s a nasty comparison, but Tommy likes the view.
“Here comes my boyfriend,” Evan croons, his cheeks flushed.
A quick glance at the table confirms that the men have switched from beer to tequila. Tommy heaves a sigh. Evan’s not on shift tomorrow, but he’s also not used to Tequila, Tommy knows that from experience. He will have to stay with him tonight - which isn't a bad thing, of course, but there are better ways to spend your time than listen to your loved ones vomit.
“Come on,” he says, ”I'll put you to bed.”
“Awesome, get ready for something!”
“Ew, I don't want to hear that,” Howie says, but Tommy just grins. “Don't worry, I don't think that's going to work today.”
“I don't want to hear that either!”
Tommy has a hard time getting Evan into the car and half expects him to fall asleep after he's forced him into the seatbelt. This man can sleep anywhere and in the most uncomfortable positions, and he always looks incredibly adorable. Even drunk, like now. But he doesn't fall asleep. He looks at Tommy with that amorous gaze he usually gives after other activities, and out of the blue, he goes, “Did you know that koalas are much lazier than sloths? They sleep almost 20 hours a day!”
Tommy threads his way into traffic, which is never really light even at night in L.A., replying, “No, Evan.”
“They eat eucalyptus...”
“I knew that,” Tommy interjects.
“Yeah of course, you’re clever,” he praises. “But koalas are the only mammals that can live off eucalyptus alone, it's poisonous to other animals.”
“Fascinating.”
It's not so much these random facts about koalas that he finds fascinating. It's just Evan, sitting there with that slightly glazed look on his face, completely relaxed. Knowing that he creates this relaxed atmosphere for this man, that he’s the one where he can be himself and let go… that’s a valuable treasure.
Evan goes on babbling for another fifteen minutes, including a dozen thank you’s for picking him up, and Tommy just enjoys his voice like a pleasant background noise. Every now and then he throws in something that always makes Evan's eyes light up. They’re almost to the loft when Evan says, “I love you,” in such a matter-of-fact tone, it makes Tommy almost wrench the steering wheel.
“That's lovely,” he answers, and he means it, but all he can think is tell me again when you're sober. Evan is too drunk to really understand what he has just said. It's something Tommy’s been dying to hear, something he was too afraid to say himself.
They somehow make it into the elevator, but as they stand in front of Evan's door, Tommy has to unlock it. Evan trips over his own feet, he almost crashes into the door. Tommy just shakes his head. His back will regret it in the morning, but he shoulders Evan without further ado. His boyfriend squeals with delight, even when he puts him down on the couch - there's no way he'll make it up the stairs with the man on his shoulders, and the bathroom is down here anyway.
“Oh man, I'm d-dizzy,” Evan sighs.
“I'm sure you are. Lie down, I'll get you a blanket.”
Tommy wants to get up, but Evan holds him back.
“Wait,” he says, suddenly with as much seriousness as a drunk can muster, “you didn't say it back.”
“What?”
Tommy thought he’d already forgotten, but this is Evan, he should have known better.
“I said I love you, but you didn't say anything, so maybe you don't love me, that's fine, I guess,” Evan rambles. “Anyway, I'm glad I said it, because it's true.”
Tommy couldn't even resist those Bambi eyes if the man asked him to run into a burning building without any protection. It's unreasonable and irrational, but he's head over heels for Evan, and he knows it. And then, suddenly, there's nothing holding him back, even if he only says it because he can convince himself that his boyfriend will forget about it in a few hours.
“I love you too, Evan.”
“Oh my God, really?”
Evan jumps up from the couch with a vigor as if he hadn't just said he was dizzy, and he sprints - not very elegantly - into the kitchen. He’s back in the blink of an eye, after pulling open a drawer and rummaging around in it. He pulls Tommy onto the couch, practically sits in his lap, looks at him with those doe eyes and says in a solemn tone, “Give me your hand.”
“Evan...”
“Give me your hand!”
Tommy’s learned early on that it's easier to give in to this whirlwind of a man, so he holds out his hand. Evan pushes something on Tommy's ring finger, having to do so three times before he finally hits.
“What are you doing?”
Tommy squints at his hand. It looks like ... a keyring, without a key of course; Evan has a junk drawer in the kitchen where he keeps things like that.
“It's a promise,” says Evan. “One d-day, Thomas Kinard, I will marry you. Just don't forget that!”
Tommy grabs the ring and replies dryly, “Don't worry, I won’t. It's so tight, I don't think I'll be able to get it off.”
“Got a ring cutter for that.”
He smirks, and Tommy can't help his lips to curl into a fond smile. He’s already aware of the ring cutter, even if he was surprised the first time he found it.
“Main thing is for you to say you'll marry me,” Evan says with his Bambi eyes, “one day, with a real ring. In a sh... a tchu... well, a church.”
He looks like a man proud he got that one word out right, but at the same time, he looks as serious as a drunkard can be. It doesn’t seem like something he’ll actually have forgotten in a couple of hours, rather like it’s been on his heart for a long time. It's a big deal, and Tommy doesn't want to answer lightly just to appease him. His own heart has long been far from casual, concerning Evan.
“But,” Evan continues, waving his arms, ”if it's really too tight for you, we'd better cut the thing open quickly. I’ve seen a guy, finger swollen as big as an eggplant, couldn’t get his wedding ring off his finger.”
He struggles to get up, but this time Tommy holds him back.
“Leave it,” he says, looking at the ring.
It’s just a simple, brass-colored keyring, but at the same time, it’s way more. As Evan had said: it was a promise. A promise did not necessarily have to come true, but it was still something to cling to. Something to look forward to.
“Fine, we can do it tomorrow,” Evan slurs, just before he leans against Tommy - to fall asleep on his shoulder.
“Let's do it tomorrow. Or maybe I'll keep it,” Tommy whispers into Evan's curls.

Summer Breeze 9
Warnings: age gap (reader is 22, Andrew is mid 40s), dad’s friend, Andy being Andrew, other dark elements. As usual, be mindful of your content consumption.
I also beg of you to leave me some tuppence in the form of a comment and/or reblog. You are cherished!
Enjoy, my loverlies.
“I don’t think I can make the drive back up,” Andy yawns, “I got us a house not far from here.”
He gets in the driver seat as you take the passengers. The exhaustion is finally winning, so much so that you hard care about any of it. You just want to be in one place and laying down.
“A house?” You rub your cheek and lean into the door.
“Yeah, got a buddy. He rents it out on some app, thought about doing the same with our place,” he checks his blind spot as he backs out, “anyway, lot of whatever. He doesn’t have any booking so I called in a favour.”
“Mm, lucky,” you mumble and your eyes droop.
Your dad doesn’t have any convenient friends. Just Andy. Your mom told everyone he was a piece of shit during the divorce and she moved away once you hit eighteen so he had to live in the cess pool of it all.
Andy moved in about the same time but you never really thought of him as more than a neighbour. He had a beer with your dad now and again whenever he needed help with some DIY but it was never that deep. You suppose after you went off to college, your dad had more time to waste on friends.
Your mind keeps wandering to the minuscule; the irrelevant. Just so you don’t have to think about the worst. You let your eyes close and sink down.
“Just relax, sweetheart,” Andy’s silty tone follows you down, “be like twenty minutes.”
The motion of the car lulls you. Your head thrums and your body goes hollow. You feel like you’re made of air as your mind ripples. It’s only as you come to a stop that you’re roused from your trance. You sit up and sniff.
“How ya doin’ over there?” Andy rests his hand on the corner of your seat.
“Fine, fine, I’m just...”
“Tired. Yeah, you were snoring,” he snickers, “kinda cute.”
You blink and keep your brow from furrowing. Sometimes he says things that don’t need to be said. You suppress a yawn and undo the seat belt.
“It’s been a long couple days.”
“Tell me about it,” he tuts, “I’ll grab the bags.”
Another storm of confusion takes you. You keep forgetting the little details. You get out and wait for him as he pops the hatch. He pulls out your pink duffel bag and his own dark blue suitcase. He hauls both with him as he approaches.
“The key is on the door. You just need to put in the code,” he instructs, directing you ahead of him with the tilt of his chin.
“Oh, sure.”
You turn and lead him across the gravel. The house is just as nice as his cottage, crested by a small pond behind the tall porch. You climb the steps and go to the front door, a lock box hooked around the handle. He gives you the code but it declines. He tells you to flip the last two numbers and it unlocks.
You take out the key and let yourself in. You stay by the door, holding onto it as he angles through with the luggage. He groans as he puts it all down and kicks off his dock shoes. You look down and slip out of your slides. Your feet are filthy from running all around.
“I think there’s a shower upstairs, a couple of rooms. I can drop your bag in one while you get washed up,” he offers.
“You know what, think I can figure it out,” you snatch up your duffel and hike it onto your arm.
“Right, you go first, I’ll go after,” he shrugs, “I gotta make a few calls. Jacob’s mom has been blowing me up.”
“Okay,” you say just to say something. You can’t think about his problems too. Call you selfish but you just can’t handle anything else.
“Not your problem,” he says, “go, I’ll hold down the fort.”
He as good as shoos you away and you’re all too happy to take the out. You tramp upstairs and peer around. You find the bathroom first and toss your bag in the room next to it. You take out a fresh pair of pajamas, you only brought two sets, and search out the linen closet for a towel. You feel like an intruder but you’re too worn out to care.
You dip into the show and pull the door shut. God, the water is good. You could fall asleep standing up. You make quick work of scouring your body to avoid just that and dry off on the bath mat.
As you come out of the bathroom, you listen to the house. It’s quiet. Andy must have taken his call outside. Ugh, he’s an adult. He’s proven he can manage a lot more than you.
You fall into bed, cozy in your fresh shorts and tank top, and hug the pillow as you hook a leg around the duvet. Almost as quickly as you still, you’re out for the count. You drift off into an ocean of colours, swirling and streaming behind your eyelids, spinning you in a cyclone of obscurity.
You stir as you hear a subtle thud. A cool breeze blows from the floor vent and chills your exposed leg. Your shorts are trapped between your ass, an embarrassing scene if anyone was to see you. You roll over and conceal yourself in a cocoon formed with the fluffy duvet.
The door’s open... you swore you shut it. You’re so tired, you can’t remember. You don’t bother getting up. You’re too fucking dead.
You close your eyes and a long groan drones through the wall. The noise makes you rigid. Maybe choosing the room right next to the plumbing isn’t the best idea. You wiggle down further into the bedding as the shower thrums and another deep utterance rolls in.
You pull the blanket over your ears and try to tune it out. The steady spray can’t block out his grumbling voice. At first, you’re agitated. Why does he need to make so much noise? A shower isn’t that good—wait.
Your cheeks burn in realisation. He isn’t... he wouldn’t do that. Not right now. You can hear his voice, rhythmic and strained. Wow. Oh god. You cup your hands over your ears and bite down. Talk about embarrassing.
There’s a slap against the wall and a deep grunt. Jesus.
You roll your back to the wall and huff. You’re glad he has something to distract himself. You can barely focus on living.

Duty Calls | Part 2
Summary: When (Y/n) goes on a call, she accidentally becomes the call.
<< Previous chapter | Next chapter >> | 9-1-1 Masterlist
……………………………………………………………………………
It was after midnight, and (Y/n) was cruising in her police car, waiting for a call or if she saw something that seemed off.
She was driving through the neighborhood, as she gets a call from dispatch. One of the neighbors complained about noice disturbance in one of the houses of the streets she was passing by.
“442-L23 responding” she speaks into the microphone, and drives towards the street they just called in on the radio.
As (Y/n) arrived at the house the neighbor mentioned to dispatch, she could already hear some yelling while she was sitting in her police cruiser.
“Dispatch this is 442-L23, requesting for back up at 1096 West 50th street.” She speaks into her microphone which was pinned to her chest.
“Copy that 442-L23, sending back up.” The voice of a woman’s dispatcher answered to (Y/n)’s request.
(Y/n)’s hand slowly went to the lever of her car door. She pulled the lever to her, so her car door opened and stepped out of the vehicle.
Multiple voices on the scene grew louder, and louder. People were yelling. Her gut told her that this wasn’t right.
She had to wait until back up arrived, (Y/n) didn’t know what she was about to walk into.
Tapping her feet to the ground, she waited. As the sound of the voices became even louder.
“Screw it.” She said to herself. As she sneaks up the driveway. She took her gun out of the holder along with a flashlight. And sneaked along the side of the house. Following the voices she heard.
She could just go to the porch, knock on the door and simply ask what was going on in the house.
But something told her, she had to do this in stealth. Not alerting anyone who was inside the house. So she decided to go around the back.
She put her walkie off, so the radio wouldn’t give her away. One of the many lessons she learned as being a rookie. If you’re going stealth mode, turn off your walkie.
The house looked abandoned. And was probably now some sort of gang hangout spot.
Windows were covered in old newspapers. Others were covered with old wooden plates, because the glass was broken. Here and there, pieces of the newspapers they had placed on the window were torn.
Carefully (Y/n) took a look around the corner to see if anyone was in the backyard of the house.
Nothing but a few garden chairs, and some trash was out in the backyard. But there was nothing that shouldn’t be there.
(Y/n) reached the back door. With her right hand holding out her gun, she tries slowly to push the lever of the back door down and pulled the door towards her.
The door was unlocked. She put one foot in front of the other, as she softly closes the door behind her. Voices came closer, but they still sounded muffled.
Slowly making her way through the house, (Y/n) stops at the staircase. Trying to hear if they were upstairs, a level above her. The voices didn’t sound clearer now.
If they weren’t above her. They were underneath her. Which means there must be a basement.
Moving through the house, she finally found a closed door. The damaged door, must be the way to the basement. She just knew.
Collecting all the courage she had, her hand opened the door. And it revealed a staircase. She was right after all, a basement. Lights were on and the yelling voices just became a few more decibels louder.
Still in stealth mode, she stepped down the stairs. Without making any sound, she scanned the room. A damn’ meth lab. Two guys were in the basement, working on their drugs formulas. Faced towards the wall while working, they were arguing.
There were a few storage racks along the wall, some DIY crafted tables together with the substances they needed to make the drugs with. Here and there, she saw liquids, and crumbles of powder spread on the ground.
(Y/n) stood behind the two arguing guys. She was sure one of the men was about to snap as she overheard his voice, becoming impatient and angrier by the second.
“LAPD, Put your hands behind your head and interlace your fingers!” She yelled over the voices of the men who were fighting. One of the men had a gun in his hands and the other one wasn’t armed. At least, she couldn’t see if he had anything on him.
The man with the gun turned, he was now aiming the gun towards (Y/n).
“You think I’m scared by one damn’ cop?” He laughed. As he turned back and pointed the gun at the guy who he was arguing with.
“Hey! Didn’t you just hear what I said? Put. Your. Hands. Behind. Your. Head.” She ordered them again.
“I’m not the kind of person who listens to orders.” The man with the gun said, as he turns the gun towards (Y/n) again.
But then, the man he was arguing with started to jump the man who was holding the gun. The guy was trying to get a hold of the man’s gun. When the man was starting to pull the trigger.
Bullets of the man’s gun were flying around the basement. As (Y/n) tried to take cover from the bullets. “This is 442-L23, suspect is armed. Shots fired. I repeat, shots fired!” She calls through the walkie.
A spark of the bullet must’ve hit the ground. Because before they knew, a fire started to roar through the basement. The elements which were spread on the floor, caught fire.
The two men tried to make a run for it. (Y/n) was all alone, and knew she only could stop one of them. She also knew a gun wasn’t going to stop him from running.
So she acted fast and kicked the man in his chest. The man tried to lash out his arm towards her, but the blocked him and pushed him to the ground, cuffed him and took his gun.
“Dispatch. This is 442-L23, I’m stuck in a burning basement at 1096 West 50th street.” She says coughing in to her microphone.
Flames were surrounding them both. She didn’t have a chance to put out the fire. They were running out of time. And the damn’ house was made of wood. And they basically had a ticking time bomb going on in the basement. It could go up in flames and collapse any minute now. They couldn’t get out via the staircase. That one was already in flames.
“What are you doing?” the guy asked as she walked towards him. “Saving your damn’ life.” (Y/n) answered as she uncuffed him.
(Y/n) speeded through the basement. Looking for anything useful. She went through a random box that was stashed on a storage rack. She found some old rags. “Here!” She says as she throws one of the rags to the guy. “What am I supposed to do with this?” He asks unknowingly. “Hold it in front of your nose and mouth, or do you want to die because of smoke inhalation? Hmm?” She says. And she sees the man holds it in front of his nose and mouth. “That’s what I thought” she mumbled as she does the same.
With holding that in front of her nose and mouth with one hand, she goes to the side of the basement. Looking for any possible way out. Her hands desperately touching the walls of the basement.
Her eyes started tearing because of the smoke. She squinted her eyes to try and blink the tears away, which were blurring her vision.
While one hand was holding the rag in front of her nose and mouth. She tried to push the storage rack with all her weight aside as she sees some kind of wooden plate in front of a small window.
“Hey! I got something!” She yells at the man to be louder than the flames roaring through her ears.
The man stood at the other side and pulled the storage rack, while (Y/n) pushes the storage rack. As soon as the rack was not in front of the window anymore, the man tried to take out the wooden plate. Thinking they were about to get out of the flames, they were facing iron bars now. Nice.
(Y/n) took a quick peek through the window with the iron bars. She saw sirens. And a few firefighters running towards the house. The man behind her starts to scream and slam on the window. “HEY! HEY! WE’RE HERE!” He yells. The man who was just a minute ago a bad ass gang member, was now afraid to die in the flames.
Two firefighters sat down at the little window of the basement. “We’re gonna get you out of there okay? Stand back! And cover your face!” One firefighter’s muffled voice says and motioned with his hand to stand back.
The firefighters first tapped the glass so they could cut the iron bars away. The gloved hand of the firefighter wiped the removing glass away. They used a saw to cut the iron bars.
When the iron bars finally were cut loose, the firefighters put a blanket over the frame of the window so they wouldn’t hurt themselves by climbing out.
The man climbed out first, he could do that easily. “Let’s go! This place is like a ticking time bomb!” She yelled. (Y/n) wasn’t as tall as that man. The two firefighters both put out a hand so they basically dragged her through the window. Hurriedly they helped her to get on her feet. The two firefighters and (Y/n) ran across the driveway, when the house started to give in. The roof was crashing down.
They turned around to see the house completely collapse. A large bang sounded through the streets of West 50th street. As the elements of the basement exploded.
Panting, (Y/n) realized. If it took them a second longer to get out, they probably wouldn’t have made it without any scars. Or made it at all.
When she took a deep breath, she started to cough like an old person who smoked 20 packages a day. (Y/n) leaned forward, her hands were holding her thighs, and she spit out a bit of the ashes she inhaled. Pain radiated through her lungs as she continued coughing.
She felt a hand resting on her back.
Still leaning forward, she looked up. Her eyes met Evan’s worried eyes. His hand started to make circles on her back, to reassure her.
This wasn’t the state she wanted him to see her in.
The other firefighter came back running with an oxygen tank and face mask. As (Y/n) was still coughing. The guy wanted to put the mask on her mouth but she pushed the tank away. She needed to calm down.
Evan held his hand out to Eddie, who was holding the oxygen tank. Eddie passed the tank on to Evan, and Eddie walked away towards the ambulance.
“Hey, let’s go sit down huh?” Evan’s voice sounded. And held out his hand which was rubbing circles on her back, untill a few seconds ago. (Y/n) slowly stood back up straight. As she accepted Evan’s hand. He slowly led her to the ambulance.
He helped her sitting down on the back of the ambulance. And put down the tank next to her.
He started to detangle the face mask of the oxygen tank. (Y/n)’s eyes quickly took a look at what Evan was doing, but she looked in front of her again. He was holding out the face mask to her.
She gave him a quick glance. “I’m fine” she says as she stares at him with an innocent look on her face. “No. You’re not. I just helped you getting out of a burning building, which was as you said a ticking time bomb. So don’t tell me you’re fine, when I know you’re not. And let us do our job.” Evan’s voice speaks.
For a second she stared at him in silence. He was right. She wasn’t fine. Evan was still holding out the face mask. She sighed and took the mask from him. She pulled the elastic band back, and put the mask on her face.
She glances at Evan. Who was turning the knob of the oxygen tank open. And he sat down next to her. The only thing keeping them apart being the tank. He sighed.
“I was wondering when I’d see you again.” Evan started. “You’ve been on my mind this whole entire day.” He continued, while he was staring forward. (Y/n) looked down, the floor was really interesting right now. “The only thing I wasn’t expecting, was you becoming the call.”
She fidgeted with her fingers. As they stayed quiet for a second. She knew she was being stupid, not waiting for back up. But she was stubborn, but that wasn’t a secret. Everyone at the department knew.
She looked around her, at anything but Evan. As she continued fidgeting.
Evan put his hand on her fidgeting fingers to make her stop. She looked at him. “I was worried.” He says. Their eyes connect. “My heart dropped when I heard your voice through the radio, calling for help.. And I couldn’t do anything to help you.” He continued. She could tell Evan was punishing himself.
She didn’t know what to say, she could only look at him with a guilty face. “I’m sorry” she whispered, with a broken voice you could barely hear. A few tears started rolling down her face. She looked away, as she tried to wipe her tears away with her shoulder.
Her eyes were still red from the smoke, still stinging. But her tears made it even worse. She looked Evan in the eyes again and tries to keep herself strong. He put his hand on her cheek, his thumb wiping her tears away. She starts sniffing and squeezing her eyes shut. A wave of tears streaming down her face now.
“Hey, hey, it’s okay.. you’re safe now.” Evan squeezed her hands. And puts his arm around her shoulder, pulling her close.
After a few moments they look at each other again. As if, nothing else in the world mattered. Evan smiled slightly, as they put their foreheads against each other. Enjoying the touch. She starts to smile again.
“Ouch” her voice sounded as she squeezed her eyes and grabbed at her stomach when she felt a stinging pain. “A- are you okay?” Evan asked. She stands up straight. “Yeah I’m- oh my god” shakily she takes her hand off her stomach. And looks at her hand. Blood. Evan’s face morphed from a confusing into a worried look, as he stands up too. With a snap of a finger, (Y/n)’s knees gave in and collapsed into Evan’s arms. “(Y/n!!)” he screamed, instantly getting all the attention on scene. “Chim! Help!” He calls out to the closest paramedic. Evan gets down on his knees, carefully laying (Y/n) down on the floor. Her head resting on his thighs, while a crowd is creating around the two of them. “Hey! Hey! (Y/n) stay with me!” He said with panic in his voice.
(Y/n) had trouble with keeping her eyes open, now and then you could see some white of her eye which was red from the crying and smoke. He padded her cheeks to get her attention. She keeps blinking fast, as if she felt like she was falling asleep again. All three of the paramedics they had on the 118 stormed to Evan’s and (Y/n)’s side. “What happened?” Chimney asks while they try to discover the place she was hurt. “We- we were just talking and she had pain in her stomach suddenly-“ Evan stuttered. Eddie took a scissor when he heard the word stomach, and started cutting her shirt from her chest all the way down to her stomach. They opened her shirt and it revealed a blooding wound on her stomach.
“Looks like a gunshot wound.” Eddie says as he quickly grabbed gauze and started to put pressure on the wound. (Y/n) lets out an ear deafening scream. “Stay calm, we got you.” Eddie’s voice said to her. Hen was already running towards them with the gurney as Chimney finished up putting an IV into (Y/n)’s veins. (Y/n)’s eyes were still open, but weakly. “I’m sor-“ she tried to bring out, but couldn’t finish her sentence as she passed out.
“She’s crashing!” Chimney yelled. “Starting compressions!” He continued as he placed his palms on her chest and starts doing CPR. Evan stood up with his hands in his hair. How could he not have noticed this? She was fine a minute ago. Hen lowered the gurney, and Eddie placed the stickers on (Y/n)’s chest so they could monitor her heartbeat and rhythm. He also pushed fluids through (Y/n)’s IV. “Give her some time.” Is what Eddie said as they see the fluids got pushed through the IV.
It felt like hours, as they were waiting for (Y/n)’s heart to come back. The ear deafening long beep seemed never to end. Panic flushed through Evan’s body. He watched the heartbeat line, still with his hands in his hair. As it suddenly the heartbeat line goes up and down again.
“We got a heartbeat!” Is what Chimney calls. Evan let out a breath he didn’t knew he was holding for so long. He tries to catch his breath, as he feels a hand landing on his shoulder. Bobby’s hand was next to him, silently trying to support him.
The 118 put (Y/n) on the gurney, and rolled her towards the ambulance. As they were passing Evan and Bobby, Evan’s hand quickly took hers and he walks with them towards the ambulance. Not once letting go of her hand. She tried to open her eyes as she felt the sudden touch. She squinted her eyes. “Hey, welcome back” are the words that left Evan’s mouth as he notices her eyes were slightly opened. She smiled weakly. “You’re still here” came out, barely a whisper. They put the gurney in the back of the ambulance. Chimney hopped in the back, while Hen hurried to the driver’s side of the car.
Evan looked at Bobby. Bobby nodded, as a sign for him to go with the ambulance. “I’m coming with you.” Evan said determined, he jumped into the ambulance and closed the back doors.
Evan grabbed (Y/n)’s hand again, and he brought her hand to his mouth. “Don’t you ever dare to scare me like that again.”
(Y/n) smiled weakly. She grabbed her face mask that was filling with oxygen and pushed it a little lower, so she was able to speak. “You know I can’t promise that.” She put her hand, which was still at Evan’s mouth, on his cheek. He leaned into her touch.
“Tell me again why do we keep on meeting on calls? Or a coincidence meeting, turns out to be a call?” Evan laughed. “Because the most random things happens when duty calls.” (Y/n) laughs, which turns into a cough. “Yeah, like… you get stuck in a burning basement and turn out to be shot.” Evan said. A grin started to form on (Y/n)’s face. “Too soon?” He continued, while smiling.
They went silent for a bit. But it wasn’t awkward at all. They kept on staring at each other. “I’m sorry for scaring you like that.” (Y/n) apologized. Evan smiled. “It’s okay, you’re a sergeant. You’re just doing your job.”
“I feel like I’m third wheeling here.” Chimney says out of nowhere and completely ruining the moment. But also not, because the ambulance came to a stop, and they wheeled (Y/n) out of the ambulance. Evan was still at her side, holding her hand every second of the way. Chimney yelled all the patient information to a doctor when they came through the hospital doors.
Evan was walking next to the gurney. Next to her head, he lowered himself so he could say something in her ear. “I’ll be here when you get out.” He whispered and pressed one last kiss onto her hand. As he lets go and watch the doctors and nurses take over the gurney.

Whipped ~ T.I.K
My first request! I’m so excited to write this!
Requested by @stinkygirl009 😊🤍
Tom “Iceman” Kazansky x Fem reader
WARNINGS: a touch of spice, pretty fluffy if you take the readers panic out of it. If I've missed anything let me know and ill add it.
She/her pronouns used
Ice was sitting in the TOP GUN classroom taking notes for the next mission, but the poor guys mind came to your face, your hair, your smile, your natural scent, your perfumes and your eyes. The amount of times Ice sighed caused Slider to nearly rip his hair out, as he knew the only reason he's agitated these days was because the poor guy hadn't seen you in nearly 2 weeks.
"Ice, I swear if you sigh one more time I'm going to loose my shit." Slider whispered, along with a firm hand gesture in the shape of a claw.
"I'm sorry!" Ice whisper yelled back rubbing his hand on his face. "can you blame me though? if you had a beautiful goddess of a woman within a 25 minute drive radius from here you wouldn't be itching to sneak out of here just for a glimpse of her?" His voice quiet yet felt like he was shouting at the top of his lungs.
Slider rolled his eyes and murmured under his breathe "pussy-whipped". This didn't go un-heard by the stress ridden blonde, and the heel of his boot met the side of Sliders shin. "You know that just proves my point right?" a chuckle left sliders mouth and in response he got the bird from the now annoyed piolet.
-
As the sun set over the TOP GUN base, Iceman went to his small home where all students were stationed and threw his helmet onto his bed. It didn't take long for his eyes to meet the picture of you sitting in a white frame on his bedside table. You were wearing a red dress he had bought you. The dress was ankle length with thick straps, and one had fallen down leaving your shoulder bare. You were looking to the side, the summer sun hitting your face just right and a small smile rested on your face. He groaned out "This is such bullshit!".
He started getting into comfortable clothes when a dangerous, career threatening idea came to his mind. He swapped his pyjama pants to his jeans, and slipped on his sneakers. There was a part of his mind that was screaming ‘just wait! You only have 2 weeks left!’ and another saying the complete opposite. He was desperate to get his arms around the one person who makes each day worth it. He has seen so many TOP GUN students leave during the night to see, or sneak their girls into the base and get away with it. So what was stopping him?
He got his car keys and put his bomber jacket on. Iceman had subconsciously studied the base and knew the quietest route to his car. He walked fast, not wanting to waste a second of time. He saw some instructors walking, he shuffled into a shadowed area of the path and was out of sight. He paused and waited for them to walk a far distance.
He got to the car and did a final look out before getting in and hastily driving off. He had to keep reminding himself to follow the road rules and not speed or run a red light. The street of your house was slowly approaching and his thoughts were running wild. The time of his arrival was 7:45pm, and Tom was on the porch to the front door in a matter of seconds. Getting the spare key he got given, he unlocked the door and went inside.
He placed his keys and wallet on the entry table and walked into the kitchen. He didn’t see you in the main area of your home so he went up the stairs, seeing your bedroom lamp on. Walking in, he saw you enjoying a DIY cheese board and charcuterie board. You had a book in your hand and the record player was softly playing.
“Hey-” he softy spoke, but was interrupted by a startled scream.
“AHH! What the actual fuck?” Your voice sounded pissed off, and at this point he remembered you hated being scared. “Sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you (y/n)!” He sat down on the bed and held your hand. “It’s ok, just don’t do it aga- wait, what are you doing here?!” The book in your hand met the floor as you threw it, and moved the boards onto your bedside table.
You grabbed his face in your hands and searched for injuries. “Are you hurt? We’re you kicked out? Did you QUIT?!” Ice couldn’t help but laugh.
“Sweetie, I’m fine…I snuck out!” He held both of your hands and rubbed your palms with his thumbs. Your eyebrows came together and you let out a ‘huh?!’ You knew how serious he was about his career, so this was not like him.
“Have you been hanging out with Maverick or something? Because that is something he would do not you!” Your thoughts coming out at a rapid rate. Tom rolled his eyes and smiled. “No, I haven’t. I missed you and couldn’t wait 2 more weeks to see you so I snuck out”
Toms hands found your waist and pulled you close. You were rambling on about your confusion and somewhat lecturing him on work ethic and rules. He shut you up with a kiss and you instantly melted into both the kiss and him.
“I missed you too idiot” you roll your eyes. “But seriously, what demon possessed you? You have 2 weeks until graduation and you risk it by doing this?” You just couldn’t wrap your head around both the situation, and the concept of the situation. “Well, when your Girlfriend has been the only thing you can think about…you just have to see her” Tom’s shoulders lift up and down.
“You are something else Kazinsky” your voice soothed the Pilot, and you reached behind you for the food. You placed it between the two of you and resumed your meal together. You guys caught up on what was going on in your separate lives, and what your plans were for the rest of the two weeks.
Fun beach days, working shifts, flight methods and jet safety were just some of the million topics that were brought up. Tom looked at the clock, which read ‘1:31am’, he knew he needed to get back but how could he when your body heat left him in a trance as your French painted nails carded through his blonde, slightly helmet headed hair.
“I’ve gotta go, it’s getting late” his sigh was a deep and dense one, yours was a tired one. “Ok, don’t worry 2 weeks will fly by ok?” You reassured him. He nodded in agreement… until his tired mind snapped awake with a more dangerous but fun idea.
“Come back with me!” He blurted “WHAT?!” you were not expecting your boyfriend to want to pull not 1 but 2 stunts in one night, so you placed your hand to his forehead to see if he was feeling unwell.
“You’re not my boyfriend! You are a clone! How are we going to pull it off? What am I supposed to be doing all day stuck inside your house?” You listed. He chuckled at your cuteness, you were always worried about something and he found joy in being your reassurance. “It will be ok, I’ve bought you some books I was going to give you after the next 2 weeks. There’s a TV in my house and I have a lot of movies you can choose from, and a whole lot more” he tucked a loose piece of hair behind your ear while you processed his words.
“Ok, let’s do it. But if you get in trouble I will kill you” you got up and got a bag organised.
-
You both got to base at 2:20am and you heart rate was higher than the Eiffel Tower. Were you really going to do this? You took a deep breath as you both got out of his car.
Tom took your bag and swung it over his shoulder. He grabbed your hand and guided you along the safest path, and kept to the shadows as much as possible. You saw people walking around and it caused you to hear your heart beat in your ears. Ice squeezed your hand in reassurance as you got closer to his back window, which he always left 2 inches open.
He pushed it up carefully, then helping you get in along with your bag. Once he was sure you were safe and the coast was clear he climbed in. He closed the window and locked it, pulling the curtains shut and making sure there was no cracks.
“Oh my god, we just did that!” You whisper shouted, and hugged Tom close to you. He stroked a hand in your hair and swayed, knowing how to relax you. He made eye contact with his schedule for tomorrow and he didn’t have anything until 10:45am so he wasn’t stressed about sleeplessness.
You looked up and kissed him, he responded with a hungry growl. He had missed you and your body this close to him, so much so that his body temperature rose and he became hot. He could feel your body react the same as his as the kiss turned passionate.
He guided you to the bed and kissed down your jaw and neck. “God I missed you baby”
-
The next day Iceman sat in class, focused and relaxed. His notes were neat, his hair and uniform to match. Ice asked questions, gave recommendations and was very attentive.
Slider looked at him in confusion, because he had countless and endless days of being an annoying little pussy whipped shit. As the class went on, Slider observed his friend. When everyone started having their own conversations he decided to ask him what drug was he on.
“What’s up with you Ice? One day your all sulky and whiny and now your chipper and productive?” He questioned with a squint.
“You know how you said I was “pussy whipped”?” He smirked down at his work, making edits and adding more details.
Meanwhile Sliders brain was short circuiting. There was no way he, the sensible and responsible Iceman had broken the rules!
“No way” he mumbled and Tom’s smile got bigger. “You “I’m mister responsible and would never disrespect the rules” Tom “Iceman” Kazansky snuck out?”
Ice laughed and responded with a smirk.
“And snuck in”
Sliders body turned to his work and mutter in a surprised voice…
“pussy whipped”

Can You Use a Regular Key as a Bump Key?
Bump Keys vs Regular Keys
Bump keys, a term familiar to those intrigued by the art of lock picking, are specialized tools designed to manipulate pin tumbler locks. These keys facilitate the swift and nearly silent opening of locks by exploiting a design vulnerability inherent in traditional locks.
On the other end of the spectrum are regular keys, the commonplace tools we use to secure our homes, offices, and personal belongings. These keys are meticulously crafted to align with specific lock mechanisms and are intended for authorized access only.
Understanding Bump Keys
To delve into the question of whether a regular key can function as a bump key, it's essential to grasp the fundamental mechanism behind bump keys. Operating on the principle of transferring kinetic energy, bump keys manipulate the pins within a lock, causing them to momentarily jump. This allows the key to turn and unlock the door, revealing a vulnerability in traditional pin tumbler locks.
Legal and Ethical Considerations
The utilization of bump keys raises significant legal and ethical questions. While lock picking skills for non-destructive entry are valued in professions such as locksmithing, the use of bump keys for illicit activities is strictly prohibited. This article underscores the importance of responsible and lawful behavior, especially when considering the potential transformation of a regular key into a bump key.
Regular Keys vs. Bump Keys
Key Anatomy
Regular keys and bump keys share some fundamental design features, featuring teeth or notches that interact with pins in a lock. However, the key distinction lies in the intentional spacing of these teeth on a bump key, designed to fit a broader range of locks.
Functionality
Regular keys are tailored to the locks they are intended for, featuring unique cuts and grooves. Conversely, bump keys are more generic, designed to be versatile and compatible with a variety of locks. While this versatility is advantageous for professionals, it also raises concerns about the potential for misuse if these keys fall into the wrong hands.
Transforming a Regular Key into a Bump Key
Necessary Modifications
The process of transforming a regular key into a bump key involves specific modifications. This may include delicately filing down the teeth of the key to match the depths of the pins in a target lock. Precision and skill are essential in this endeavor to ensure the modified key functions as intended.
DIY Risks
Attempting to create a bump key without the requisite knowledge or authorization poses serious risks. Beyond the legal implications, individuals may inadvertently damage locks, rendering them inoperable. This DIY approach can also lead to unintentional lockouts, inconveniencing individuals and necessitating professional intervention.
Legitimate Use and Security Awareness
Legitimate Applications
It's imperative to recognize that bump keys can have legitimate applications. Locksmiths, for example, use these tools for non-destructive entry when individuals are locked out of their homes or cars. Similarly, law enforcement agencies may employ bump keys in specific situations where swift, non-damaging entry is required.
Security Awareness
Public awareness concerning the vulnerabilities associated with bump keys is of paramount importance. Enhanced security measures, such as the use of bump-resistant locks, can effectively mitigate the risks associated with this lock-picking technique. Individuals should be educated about the potential threats and take proactive measures to secure their homes and belongings.
Conclusion
In summary, the distinction between regular keys and bump keys lies in their design and functionality. Regular keys are specific and intended for authorized use, while bump keys are more generic and can be manipulated for potentially illicit purposes.
Responsible Use
This comprehensive exploration underscores the critical importance of responsible behavior when it comes to lock picking tools, including bump keys. Engaging in legal and ethical practices ensures the preservation of security and privacy while discouraging unlawful activities. As technology evolves, so must our awareness and responsible use of tools that can impact our safety and security. In doing so, we contribute to a safer and more secure environment for all.

Programming Key Fobs and Ignition Services in Raleigh, NC
Key fobs and ignition systems have become integral to modern vehicle security and convenience. With key fobs, you can lock, unlock, and even start your car without having to use a traditional key. However, if your key fob isn’t working correctly or you need a new one programmed, it can be a hassle. Fortunately, if you're in Raleigh, NC, there are professional locksmiths who specialize in programming key fobs and ignition systems to get you back on the road quickly.
This blog will explore the importance of key fob programming, the benefits of professional services, common problems associated with key fobs and ignition systems, and the options available in Raleigh, NC.
What Is Key Fob Programming?
Key fob programming is the process of syncing a new or existing key fob with a vehicle's internal computer system. When a key fob is programmed, it can communicate with the car’s locking, alarm, and ignition systems, enabling it to perform essential functions like locking/unlocking doors and starting the engine.
Modern vehicles often come with advanced ignition systems, such as push-to-start or remote start, which rely on key fob communication. This makes key fob programming not just a matter of convenience, but also essential for the proper functioning of your car.
When Do You Need Key Fob Programming?
There are several situations where you may need to have your key fob programmed or reprogrammed:
New Key Fob Replacement If you've lost your car key fob or need an extra one, the new key fob must be programmed to work with your vehicle's system.
Damaged or Malfunctioning Key Fob A damaged key fob, whether from wear and tear or accidental exposure to water, may stop working. In some cases, reprogramming the fob can restore its functionality.
Car Battery Replacement When a car battery is replaced, the vehicle's system might lose synchronization with the key fob, requiring reprogramming to reconnect.
Ignition Problems If the vehicle's ignition system is not recognizing the key fob, programming or reprogramming the fob may help resolve the issue.
Vehicle System Updates Occasionally, updates to the vehicle's software can disrupt key fob communication, necessitating reprogramming to ensure everything functions properly.
Benefits of Professional Key Fob and Ignition Programming Services
While there are DIY key fob programming guides available, using a professional service in Raleigh offers several benefits:
Expertise and Experience Professional locksmiths are trained to handle different types of key fobs and ignition systems. They can quickly diagnose problems, program the key fob accurately, and ensure your car's systems are fully functional.
Specialized Equipment Locksmiths use advanced diagnostic tools and programming equipment that may not be available to the average car owner. This ensures precise programming for your specific make and model.
Time and Cost Savings Attempting to program a key fob yourself can be time-consuming and may result in costly mistakes. Professional services can do it efficiently, saving you time and potential headaches.
Mobile Services Many locksmiths in Raleigh offer mobile services, meaning they can come to your location and program your key fob or fix ignition problems on-site, providing convenience especially during emergencies.
Common Key Fob and Ignition Issues
Key fobs and ignition systems can experience several problems over time. Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:
Key Fob Not Detected If the car isn’t detecting the key fob, it could be due to a weak signal or a problem with the fob's transmitter. Replacing the battery or reprogramming the key fob may solve this issue.
Push-to-Start System Not Working In vehicles with push-to-start systems, the ignition may not activate if the key fob isn't properly communicating with the car. Reprogramming the key fob or addressing any ignition issues can resolve this problem.
Intermittent Functionality If the key fob works only occasionally, there may be a problem with the fob's battery, the internal circuitry, or interference from other electronic devices. A professional locksmith can diagnose the issue and determine if reprogramming is needed.
Ignition Lock Cylinder Issues In older vehicles with traditional key-based ignitions, problems with the ignition lock cylinder can also affect key fob communication. Locksmiths may recommend replacing or repairing the ignition lock cylinder.
Programming Key Fobs and Ignition Services in Raleigh, NC
If you're experiencing any of the above issues, Raleigh has several reputable locksmiths who can help with key fob programming and ignition services. Here’s what you can expect from professional services in the area:

Ignition System Repair and Replacement If your car’s ignition system is malfunctioning, locksmiths can diagnose the issue and provide repair or replacement services as needed. Whether it’s a faulty ignition switch or a worn-out lock cylinder, professionals have the tools and expertise to fix it.
Transponder Key Programming Many vehicles use transponder keys that communicate with the car's ignition system for added security. Locksmiths can program transponder keys to work with your vehicle, ensuring proper operation.

Tips for Dealing with a Car Lockout Situation
Getting locked out of your car can be a stressful and frustrating experience. Whether you've lost your keys, locked them inside the car, or the key fob isn't working, being stranded without access to your vehicle can disrupt your plans and cause anxiety. In such situations, it's essential to stay calm and take the right steps to resolve the issue efficiently. This article will provide you with valuable tips for dealing with a car lockout situation.
Stay Calm and Assess the Situation
When you realize that you're locked out of your car, the first thing to do is to stay calm. Panicking will only make the situation more difficult to handle. Take a few deep breaths and assess the circumstances. Check if there are any spare keys that someone can bring you or if there's a way to access the vehicle through another door or window.
Call for Assistance
If you're unable to resolve the lockout on your own, it's time to seek help. Call a trusted locksmith who specializes in car lockouts. Make sure to choose a reputable professional who is licensed and insured. Avoid trying to unlock the car yourself using DIY methods that could cause damage to the vehicle.
Use a Spare Key
Having a spare key can save you from a lot of trouble in a car lockout situation. If you have a spare key with a family member, friend, or neighbor, contact them to bring you the key. It's always a good idea to keep a spare key in a safe place outside the car, such as in a magnetic box under the vehicle or in your wallet.
Try Remote Unlocking
If your car has a key fob with remote unlocking capabilities, try using it to unlock the doors. Sometimes, there may be a temporary glitch preventing the key fob from working correctly. Replace the batteries if needed and attempt to unlock the car again. If the key fob still doesn't work, it may be a sign of a more significant issue that requires professional assistance.
Stay Prepared
Being prepared for a car lockout situation can help you handle it more effectively. Consider having a roadside assistance membership that includes lockout services. Keep a list of reliable locksmiths in your area saved in your phone or wallet. Additionally, you can invest in tools like a key locator device or a keyless entry system to prevent lockouts in the future.
Double-Check Before Leaving the Car
To avoid getting locked out of your car in the first place, develop a habit of double-checking your keys before exiting the vehicle. Make sure you have them in your hand or pocket before closing the door. Avoid placing the keys on the seat or in the trunk while unloading items from the car. Being mindful of your keys can prevent unnecessary lockout incidents.
Consider a Keyless Entry System
If you frequently experience lockout situations or tend to misplace your keys, consider installing a keyless entry system in your car. These systems use a code or fingerprint recognition to unlock the vehicle, eliminating the need for traditional keys. While keyless entry systems can be more expensive, they provide added convenience and security.
Stay Informed About Your Insurance Coverage
Review your auto insurance policy to understand if it covers lockout situations. Some insurance plans offer roadside assistance that includes services like lockout assistance, towing, and jump-starting a dead battery. Knowing what your policy includes can help you determine the best course of action when facing a car lockout.
Conclusion
Dealing with a car lockout can be a challenging experience, but with the right approach, you can handle it effectively. By staying calm, seeking professional help when needed, and taking preventive measures, you can minimize the impact of a lockout situation. Remember to stay prepared, double-check your keys, and consider alternative entry methods like keyless systems. Being informed about your insurance coverage and roadside assistance options can also be beneficial. By following these tips, you can navigate a car lockout situation with confidence and ease.

Locksmith Pembroke Pines
The Essential Reasons to Hire a Professional Locksmith in Pembroke Pines
Introduction
When it comes to the security of your home, business, or vehicle, few things are more crucial than having reliable locks and keys. Whether you’re dealing with a lockout situation, lost keys, or need to upgrade your security system, it’s tempting to consider a DIY approach. After all, DIY projects can be both cost-effective and rewarding, right? However, when it comes to locksmith services, the stakes are higher than they might seem. The difference between a professional locksmith in Pembroke Pines and a DIY attempt can be substantial. This article explores why hiring a professional locksmith is not only the safer choice but also the smarter one.
Understanding Locksmith Services
Before diving into why you should hire a professional, it’s important to understand what locksmith services entail. Locksmiths are skilled tradespeople who specialize in the installation, repair, and maintenance of locks and security systems. Their work goes beyond just cutting keys or unlocking doors; it involves a deep understanding of security technology, intricate lock mechanisms, and complex access control systems.
Professional locksmiths offer a wide range of services including:
Emergency Lockout Services: Whether you’re locked out of your home, car, or office, a professional locksmith can quickly and safely gain access.
Lock Repair and Replacement: If your locks are damaged or outdated, a locksmith can repair or replace them to ensure your security.
Security System Installation: Locksmiths can install and maintain advanced security systems, including alarms, CCTV cameras, and smart locks.
Consultation on Security Measures: They provide expert advice on the best security solutions for your needs.
The Risks of DIY Locksmithing
While the allure of a DIY solution is understandable, attempting to handle locksmith tasks yourself can lead to numerous risks and complications. Here are some of the most significant risks associated with DIY locksmithing:
1. Potential for Damage
Locksmithing requires a precise touch and the right tools. Without proper training and equipment, you might end up damaging the lock or door. For example, using a universal key or improvised tools can cause internal damage to the lock mechanism, leading to more costly repairs or replacements.
2. Security Risks
Inadequate or incorrect handling of locks can compromise your security. A poorly installed lock might be easier to bypass, putting your home or business at risk. Professional locksmiths have the expertise to ensure that locks are installed and functioning correctly, providing you with peace of mind.
3. Time and Effort
DIY locksmithing can be time-consuming and frustrating. What might seem like a simple task could quickly become a complex problem, leading to wasted time and effort. Professionals have the experience to handle various situations efficiently, saving you time and stress.
4. Legal and Safety Concerns
In some cases, attempting to pick a lock or bypass security features without proper authorization can have legal implications. Additionally, incorrect handling of locks and security systems could potentially lead to safety hazards, especially in high-security or electronic systems.
Benefits of Hiring a Professional Locksmith
Now that we’ve highlighted some of the risks of DIY locksmithing, let’s explore the advantages of hiring a professional locksmith in Pembroke Pines.
1. Expertise and Experience
Professional locksmiths undergo extensive training and have hands-on experience with a wide variety of lock types and security systems. Their expertise ensures that they can handle even the most challenging locksmith tasks efficiently and effectively. Whether you need a new lock installed or a complex security system repaired, their knowledge is invaluable.
2. Advanced Tools and Techniques
Locksmiths use specialized tools and techniques that are not readily available to the general public. These tools allow them to perform tasks with precision and care. For instance, electronic key programming or high-security lock installation requires specific equipment and skills that a DIY enthusiast might not possess.
3. Immediate and Reliable Service
One of the most significant advantages of hiring a professional locksmith is their ability to provide immediate and reliable service. In emergency situations, such as being locked out of your home or vehicle, a professional locksmith can quickly respond and resolve the issue. Their efficiency and reliability are crucial for maintaining your security and minimizing disruptions.
4. Comprehensive Security Solutions
Professional locksmiths offer more than just basic lock and key services. They can assess your overall security needs and recommend comprehensive solutions to enhance your safety. This might include installing advanced security systems, upgrading locks, or providing advice on improving your home or business security.
5. Warranty and Guarantee
Many professional locksmiths offer warranties or guarantees on their work. This means that if there are any issues with the locks or security systems they’ve installed, they will address them at no additional cost. This added layer of protection provides peace of mind and ensures that you receive quality service.
Choosing the Right Locksmith in Pembroke Pines
If you’ve decided to hire a professional locksmith, choosing the right one is essential. Here are some tips for selecting a reputable locksmith in Pembroke Pines:
1. Verify Credentials
Ensure that the locksmith is licensed and insured. This helps confirm their legitimacy and provides protection in case of any damages or issues.
2. Check Reviews and References
Look for reviews or ask for references to gauge the locksmith’s reputation and quality of service. Positive feedback from previous customers is a good indicator of reliability and professionalism.
3. Inquire About Services and Pricing
Before hiring, discuss the range of services the locksmith offers and obtain a clear understanding of their pricing structure. This helps avoid any surprises and ensures that you’re getting the services you need at a fair price.
4. Look for 24/7 Availability
In emergency situations, having a locksmith who is available around the clock can be crucial. Choose a locksmith that offers 24/7 service to ensure you’re covered at any time of day or night.
Conclusion
While DIY projects can be satisfying and cost-effective for many tasks, locksmith services are an area where professional expertise is not only beneficial but often essential. The complexity of modern locks and security systems, coupled with the potential risks and consequences of improper handling, underscores the importance of hiring a professional locksmith in Pembroke Pines.
From ensuring the integrity of your security systems to providing immediate and reliable service, professional locksmiths offer valuable expertise and resources that are simply not available to the average person. By choosing to hire a pro, you invest in your security, save time and effort, and gain peace of mind knowing that your locks and security systems are in capable hands.
In the end, while DIY might seem like an appealing option, the advantages of hiring a professional locksmith far outweigh the potential benefits of a do-it-yourself approach. When it comes to your safety and security, opting for a professional locksmith is the smart choice.

Facing A Lockout Situation? Take These Preventive Steps Before Calling Emergency Locksmith Services
Have you ever been in this situation? You are carrying a bunch of groceries, your work bag, and maybe even a grumpy toddler. You finally get to your front door and realize... oh no! Your keys are missing. You are locked out! Don't worry, it happens to everyone.
In this situation, calling an emergency locksmith service might seem like the only option. But before you make that call, there are a few preventive steps you can take to get back inside.
Keep reading for some smart ideas to unlock your door (or car!) without needing a professional. We will also share tips to prevent future lockouts, so you can avoid the stress altogether.
6 Things You Can Do in an Emergency Lockout Situation
Here are six helpful and effective preventive steps. You can take these steps in emergency lockout situations rather than calling an emergency locksmith service.
Stay Calm and Assess the Situation
First and foremost, take a deep breath and try to stay calm. Panicking will only make the situation worse. Look around and think about your lockout situation. Are you locked out of your car, home, or office? Is there someone nearby who might have a spare key?
2. Check If You Have Spare Keys or Not
Think about who might have a spare key. If you are locked out of your house, a neighbor or friend might have a copy of your house key. If you are locked out of your car, consider if a family member or friend has a spare key. Even if it is a bit inconvenient, getting the spare key can save you from having to call an emergency locksmith service and spending extra money.
3. Look for Unlocked Windows or Doors
Sometimes, in our rush, we might forget that a window or the back door of our house is unlocked. Carefully look at all the ways to get into your home or car. If you find an unlocked window or door, you might get back inside without needing a professional.
4. Contact a Friend or Family Member
Having someone with you during an emergency lockout can provide emotional support and practical help. They might think of solutions you haven't considered or help you stay calm while you decide what to do next. Also, if you need to wait for an emergency locksmith service, it is safer to have someone with you.
5. Avoid Trying DIY Methods
It might seem like a good idea to pick the lock yourself or force your way into a locked property, but we strongly advise against it. These attempts can cause expensive damage or even result in injury. It is better to let a professional emergency locksmith handle it safely.
6. Plan Ahead
To avoid future lockout situations, consider making a few changes. Keep a spare key in a secure place, such as a trusted neighbor’s house or a lockbox. You can also invest in a keyless entry system or smart lock, which can be controlled via your smartphone. Planning ahead can save you a lot of trouble in the long run.
Conclusion
Getting locked out is never fun, but it doesn’t have to be a disaster. By staying calm, assessing the situation, and trying some of these preventive steps, you might be able to resolve the issue on your own. If not, a professional locksmith is just a phone call away.
