"What is an element of your story that surprised you?"

I think the actors are what surprised me most. Like I have the way this story is supposed to sound in my brain. I write in the characters' voices and I read them over and over and when I have actors cast, imagine the actors saying those lines in their character voices. And every time, every single time, the actors blow my expectations away. They're so excellent. I love them your honor. Half the fun in making this show is handing off the script to very talented people and watching them play.

Let's seeeeeeeee when I first conceived of Zara and Rosie, their personalities were swapped. I had in mind this cynical misanthropic thief (ironically named Rosie, probably short for something in Drow) who has to gradually be brought into the fold of love and acceptance, and this perky little witch sorcerer whose heart was so big and refused to let the stereotypes people treated her with bring her down. And I couldn't finish the first episode, like I literally couldn't finish it.

At that point we were in production for season two, so everyone's lines were turned in, including Lucy's lines for Rosie at the very end of season two. She gave me three takes and for the first two she'd followed my direction of world weariness, caution, and readiness to throw down. and for the third one, she'd giggled and said "here we go!" like she was excited. and thank God she did, honestly, because that ended up being the key.

So I swapped Rosie and Zara's personalities, and suddenly the world made sense. Rosie chose her name (and the fact that she was already being played by a trans actress made her canonical transness an easy choice) because she loves all things bright and beautiful. And why should Zara be perky and bright? She's had a bad hand dealt and no one likes sorcerers anyway. Make her the cynical misanthrope.

And suddenly I could finish the first episode! And the rest of the season made more sense.

I finished Season 9 of Frasier and there were so many fun and funny and sweet and bittersweet moments, but who cares about that-- Daphne and Niles ran off to get eloped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also: love Mr. Moon. Hilarious.

And Roz's family-- I see the cracks in this golfing marriage. >:))

And Roz and Frasier: it was bound to happen someday, but they're not doing themselves favors by talking about it over and over. We'll seeeeeeeee where this goes. o.o

Also: I think my favorite episode of the last four or five was "The Love You Fake"-- Mrs. Winston was a gem.

Excited to crack into Season 10. :DDDDDDDD

Yay! Yes, they did indeed. You can expect for that to develop as any Frasier episode would 😁 I know shows tend to get worse in their later seasons, but season 10 in particular has some of my favorite episodes. So you're in for a good one - in my opinion.

Roz and Frasier were bound to happen someday. I can't deny that I ship them. I love that episode. I love that he follows her to her family. Mrs. Winston is fun, I agree!

One of my favorite episodes from season 9 is Bla-Z-Boy. It's so funny. All in all, a solid season and just better than season 8.

Anyways, don't resurrect people, they come back Wrong, and I'm suuuure this is so totally a lesson that the Winchesters are taking to heart and therefore will definitely not be attempting any necromancy at all in the future.
