butchers offended at stone now, who does he think he is, a homewrecker?! he showed up because mārīte invited him (and the rest of the siblings+oliver... cough marcus is included too. hes.. just there ig) and he just wants to keep an eye on her too in case she gets drunk/high. thats his daughter-by-proxy thank you very much and he wants to make sure she isnt miserable in the morning. cuz. yknow. ig shes 18 now so stone cant say shit (not like it'd stop him tho dhgjkd)

honestly how did she get away with having so many father figures but not a single mom is beyond me. closest she has is rosemary dfgdhdf (unless ladder counts? uh. i dunno, shes more of the honorary aunt if i remember correctly)

I feel like Stone has to spend the rest of the night out on the porch, so that he doesn't say something to Butcher that should sour the evening. At least this time, Butcher can stay inside and not have to be on the porch.

ive also heard/seen some people headcanon douxie with adhd too and while its not a big hc of mine (YET), in terms of that particular headcanon of the 900 years going by, i feel like adhd could have an impact on that too.

im not sure if its just me but having adhd just makes me daydream so hard i lose awareness of my surroundings and myself 70% of the time (the other 30% is being hyper-self-aware and spiralling hahahah oof) so that was another way i rationalised those 900 years whizzing by, from both adhd and depression

its certainly a thought.. dfgdhdf when i say douxie napping for as long as they possibly could i mean that. until rent comes banging down at his door, during an emergency, or when archie/zoe wakes him up to get some food in their system or to wash up...... its kinda like a wizard hibernation sdhfsh,,

maybe it isn't just douxie that does this but most other wizards/immortal non-troll beings in Tales of Arcadia? like we’ve seen merlin take a 900 year long nap haha who knows? jfhfsff just some things i think about i suppose

anyway-again i thought of that when I first watched wizards. i did Not have a good grasp on douxies character then but after going on tumblr and reading tumblr meta/aaron and tenyai's comments, the 900 years sinks in a little better now and my thoughts about that aspect is a lot more fun like-what did douxie do during that time? the friends he made? the experiences he's had? the drama between him and zoe and whatever drummer was being rotated at the time and their journey making their debut Ash Dispersal Pattern album? fsdfbdkjha rent free i tell you.

     a familiar voice; one he hadn’t heard in... quite a long while, actually.  not since he’d offered to.... well.. not since he’d offered to wipe her memory of him.    he’d been so busy lately, and... well...  he lets out a small sigh, solemn eyes find Zoe and gaze for a moment or two-- as if he’d needed a moment to process what she’d said.   the papers, stacked high, were left untouched;  ‘disorganized’ only scratched the surface of his current state.   he was tired.  among many things.  the thing he busied his mind with for so long, all in an effort to keep from his thoughts, no longer worked for him.  the thoughts and memories had come anyway, despite his frantic efforts.  and just as they seemed to begin to overwhelm him-- she appeared to him. presented him with gentle words and a kind offer of company.    dark hues fall, then rise to meet her once more, his lips pressing together.   “ I’m... ”  he croaks ( stars... he sounded horrendous...)   “... not busy... no.”    his gaze wanders to the stack of paper atop his desk, and his mind itself groans reluctantly.   he’d rather be anywhere but here. anywhere with anyone but only himself.  the fact that it had been Zoe who he would be with, was definitely a plus.     a smile; tired, yet not less sincere-- manages its way over his lips, and he murmurs out a quiet,    “ -- do you like hot cocoa..?”
