I've fallen down the YouTube rabbit hole of watching kidnappings for ransom in British TV shows/soaps......I must write something on this now......has occupied all my brain space

Soy sauce marinated chicken breast cooked in butter with asparagus and garlic salt, balsamic vinegar drizzled on the asparagus

#the chicken is juicy but cooked all the way through tysm #and the balsamic vinager is some high end fancy stuff- a gift from my sisters gfs mom lol #she also got me a cinnamon pear and a honey ginger vers 😩😩😩 liquid gold #ended up being a tad too salty i shouldve used garlic powder instead of salt but i dont have any #it was still delish tho

i will say this: the vampire slayer writing xander as someone who kisses guys and is trying very hard to unlearn his bullshit warms my heart. it is rare to see a take on xander that isn't "he's terrible and awful and should be murdered," and my own forever personal take on xander is that he has a good heart that is buried under a LOT of complicated self-hatred and an incredible fear that he isn't Manly Enough because he Cares Too Much. so to see an iteration of xander that wears his heart on his sleeve and is comfortable expressing love and compassion for his friends -- to see that highlighted as his strength, just as it was so present in canon -- <333 !!!

#btvs comics #giles is relegated to his usual Background Self #(which is disappointing and sad because i know this will be a trend now that the comics are starting to catch up w what the fans want...)#(because the majority of fan content DOES just shove giles into the background....)#but the xander stuff in this is delish!

trying food from new cultures is the best/worst thing ever. best bc it’s always delicious and yum and tastes like nothing you’ve ever had before and amazing. worst bc it’s likely you won’t be able to get it where you live and will have to remember it only through sweet memories

#sorry i tried alfajores for the first time and it was a religious experience #i’m a on a peruvian food kick rn bc there’s this AMAZING peruvian bakery near my moms house and it was so yum yum delish #and i love trying new foods but im sad bc i cant get them in my little college town 😔#also remembering all the cultural food i had in italy sigh.#so much of the food was amazing #not even the fresh made food but also the stuff in grocery stores #and italian mcdonald’s!!!!!#italian mcdonald’s i adore you and remember you through sweet memories #counting down the days until i go to italy again in the fall so i can taste the lovely heaven that is italian mcdonald’s
