As I've been watching "The Double," I've found that I have not been skipping the intro music. You know that feeling when you don't understand the language but it still speaks to you?

I went seeking out Peachey Blossom's English translation video to better understand the words (linked below). Then, I used it as a reference to make a lyrical version you can sing along to in this post!

Disclaimer: I know zero Chinese, and I've taken creative license with the lyrics.

The Double has released MV to Cyndi Wang's opening song and there are so many new delicious sneak peeks at the OTP awesomeness.

THE HAIR BRUSHING SCENE! The male lead brushing his woman's hair is such a criminally underused trope in historical shows, even more so considering the meaning behind it and how deeply intimate gesture it is.

Very few shows actually went that way, the amazing Sound of the Desert comes to mind (especially with the mirror parallel) and, of course, Faith.

The heroine getting another shot at romance in the flower petals storm provided by the director's trusty wind fan machine, this time with a man who won't bury her under them.
