Cyberweek Day 4 - Summer

This may have been the piece I was looking most forward to doing, and, boy, I sure did take my time on it. Summer may be my favorite season and amongst all the high energy, I think the nights are very calming. Bugs make me squeamish but I also find them beautiful.

Cyberweek begins Tomorrow!

Hey, everyone! The anniversary of Cyberchase is this Sunday, the 21st! Just a reminder we'll be starting with the prompt Redraw! And another reminder that on the 23rd, I'll be having a couple of friends helping me out. So I ask you be extra patient with how this blog and event is handled! All entries that follow rules and are appropriate will be reblogged!! And please remember to be kind and supportive to one another!

Cyberweek 2024 Day Five: Crossover

Pfft, I've been on an AvA kick recently, so I guess it's not too surprising that I chose this. On one hand, this crossover works well in theory. The stick figures are all fast, kinetic learners and really good at demonstrating their earned skills and knowledge.

On the other hand, the sheer tonal dissonance is hilarious.

CyberWeek 2024 starts January 21st!

A weeklong celebration of our favorite edutainment program with artistic prompts everyday! The show first premiered on the 21st of January so let’s celebrate!

What sort of Art is allowed?

Any! Traditional/Digital art, Writing, Cosplay, Video edits, anything you can make! Anything you wanna make! Sew a doll, bake a cake, whatever! Sadly, prompts aren’t made with all types of art in mind, so feel free to interpret them however you want to fit your medium!

*Prompts are posted early this year, and I ask that you withhold from posting your entries until the day of! You may however start and finish them whenever you want!

Jan 21 - Redraw

This year we start off right on the Anniversary! So, we'll do a redraw, and leave that up to how you, the artist, want to go about this! You can either redraw an old Cyberchase piece of yours or redraw a scene from the show itself! [Keep rules in mind!]

Jan 22 - Science

Cyberspace is FULL of science, even if it's sometimes entirely fictional and fantastical. Do you have a favorite scientific genius? Or is there a machine you think is really cool? Some sort of technology you wish you could have for real? It's time to blind us... with science!!

Jan 23 - Magic

Cyberspace may be full to the brim with science, but there are many things that simply unexplainable except by the total opposite of the spectrum... Magic! Who Biddi-Boppidi-does it best? Got a favorite magic spell? Maybe the real magic was the friends we made along the way.

Jan 24 - Summer

Last year we had the prompt "Winter," so let's flip that and have fun with a summer theme! It's time for some fun in the sun, a trip to the beach, a cute summer fit, a picnic, a hike, and so much more!

Jan 25 - Crossover

What is this, a crossover episode?? Yes! And you're in charge!! What characters do you want to see interact? Who do you want to see come to Cyberspace? Or who from Cyberspace do you want to see go where? When? Why?? Go nuts!! AAA

Jan 26 - Enemy

All right, we've had OTP, Friendship, and Family as a prompt! Once again it's time to completely flip the script with Enemy! Will you draw Team Hacker? Another baddie? The main goodies vs the main baddies? Or maybe two characters who just do not get along!! Remember to keep it civil and keep it fun, please!

To close out our celebration of Cyberweek, let's have some fun with the little characters we've made up for fun! 😊

Cyberweek 2024 Day Four: Summer

Beach Day~!

I love the beach aestetically, but I'll be honest; summer is not my favourite season. It's fine, but I don't handle the heat well. Still, it makes for some cute pics. Also, I wanted to draw Shari at least once more, to make up for never drawing her before.

Cyberweek 2024 Day 3: Magic

I've never drawn Shari or Wicked before. Huh. Well, here's a good excuse to rectify that. A witch's duel in the sky! Probably over that book Shari's carrying. Given the stakes that Cyberchase has, it could be anything from access codes for an entire site to a cookbook. Who knows?

Cyberweek 2024 Day Seven: OCs

Last one of the week! It's been a blast as always.

This year, I wanted to do something to show why Zip is the way she is, so here's Zip's last birthday before she went full super villain. None of her invited guests showed up, not even her affluent and very business minded parents.

Did they not show up because she annoyed them? Because they were intimidated by her status? Was there some other factor Zip wasn't aware of? Hard to say for sure, but after this Zip stopped trying the direct method when making friends.

Cyberweek 2024 Day Six: Enemies

At first, this might seem like an odd choice for this prompt. After all, Hacker and Wicked are love interests, right?

Well, sure, but have you seen their episodes? More often than not, Hacker spites Wicked out of selfishness or greed or whatever, and Wicked responds by foiling Hacker's entire scheme. They're each other's worst enemy half the time, and they work together like oil and water.

Also, I kind of wanted an excuse to draw Wicked again. (Shrug)

Cyberweek 2024 Day Two: Science

Time travel is one of my favourite sci-fi tropes, so there wasn't any chance of me choosing anything else. Painting this thing was surprisingly relaxing, despite how complex the device is.

Cyberweek 2024 Day One: Redraw

I might have stretched the definition of the word redraw, but I knew immediately that for the anniversary, I wanted to draw a scene from the first episode. So here it is, the moment it all began. Some really bright, really sharp red lighting for this one, along with red monochrome versions of all the cyber characters at the moment of no return.
