Psycho Pass: Colorful World, Ch. 24
Chapter: Wattpad | AO3
“They were last seen… entering that shopping mall north of Tokyo. Agawa Hajime... he was flagged by a scanner two hours ago,” Karanomori said.
Low but audible rhythmic synthpop music echoed throughout the building. People wandered the long corridors, browsing clothing stores or sitting down to eat at restaurants that had tables scattered throughout the place. The sound of shoes and heels clacking against the gleaming white floor was constant. Small, circular cleaning drones whizzed slowly by, keeping the floor clean. Many screens hung on the walls displaying various advertisements.
“This place is huge!” a young man chewed on a chip, clenching the snack packet in his fist.
Wearing a black jacket with rolled-up sleeves, black shirt, red tie and black pants with two white belts, Kagari tossed it into a nearby dumpster and turned around, placing his hands on the back of his neck, over his orange hair, to stretch them out as he gazed at the oval architecture of the building. The ceiling was gridded and the colors alternated between white, pink, orange, purple and even blue, without obfuscating the audience. It was late afternoon, but since the day was cloudy it looked like night outside, and it managed to further exhibit the colors inside the building.
“We can’t let people with those hues on the loose. Shion, we need drones blocking all exits from the building,” spoke Kougami.
Yashiro turned to the enforcer, who was using his wristcom to check the profiles of the suspects. She was beside him, studying them as well. An image of Agawa Hajime being flagged by a scanner appeared on the hologram above his wrist. His crime coefficient was 277.
“I’m on it,” Karanomori responded.
“We should split up,” Katashi instructed them, lifting his chin for a second.
When Kougami turned off the hologram and turned to the others, Yashiro raised an eyebrow for a few seconds and frowned. In the center of the hall, several meters away from them, a young woman shorter than her, with brown hair, had her head raised towards a screen on the upper floor, which was showing an advertisement with a blue logo that resembled a brain as seen from above. Yashiro did not hear what they were saying, as her feet reacted automatically and she walked up to stand behind her. She was wearing the blue CID jacket over a white shirt, a thigh-length skirt and brown loafers. For a few seconds she watched her, then looked up at the screen.
"As blue is generally associated with trust, it's often used in logos to influence the emotions of the public, especially when it comes to attracting customers. Do you think it suits the design of the Sibyl System?"
Tsunemori Akane blinked and turned around, her brown eyes quite wide and her lips parted for a few moments. However, she lowered her face, staring at the ground with narrowed eyes. The short, loud sound of a gunshot shook both them and the people around. Yashiro automatically leaned forward and brought her hand to where she held the dominator, looking around. Akane turned around with her eyes wide open. Yashiro looked up to the upper floors, and saw a huge crystal hanging chandelier on the ceiling of the building, moving with a high-pitched sound of glass hitting glass, until it disengaged from the ceiling, separating itself from its hologram, which had begun to tinkle irregularly.
Her eyes widened and she took a few quick steps towards Akane, pulling her forearm tightly and pushing her away a few meters, just before it fell on the floor where they were, shattering into pieces and scattering shards of glass around, with a thunderous sound that made people scream and Tsunemori stagger, almost falling to her knees from the trembling they felt under their feet. When she turned around, her mouth dropped open to see a young man several meters away, lying on the ground with his head bleeding, and a woman kneeling in front of him. Tsunemori ran to them to help them up, but when she turned around again, Yashiro pulled out her dominator and held it in both hands, pointing it towards the upper floors and walking past them.
Dominator Portable Psychological Diagnosis and Suppression System has been activated. User authentication: Inspector Takahashi Yashiro. Affiliation: Public Safety Bureau. Dominator usage approval confirmed. You are a valid user.
“You should go back with the others,” Yashiro turned her head towards the other inspector, without looking at her.
It was not an order, but the tone of voice was distant, dry, like that of a soldier. A figure moving on the floor above caused her to start running towards one of the long, wide white escalators, pushing her way between a couple, and gripping the dominator with one hand for flexibility.
“No, wait!” Tsunemori’s voice echoed.
Her heart rate increased as her footsteps echoed through the wide hall, merging with the soft ambient music, and the murmurs of people approaching without stepping on the pieces of glass that had scattered all over the floor, surrounding Tsunemori, who lost sight of her in the crowd. Yashiro held on to the railing of the escalator to keep from slipping, and at that moment a couple of gunshots ruffled her skin, making her duck instantly.
Yashiro looked over the railing, but clicked her tongue when the hologram advertising a drug got in her line of sight. Seconds later, as she scrolled upward, she saw the enforcers running half crouched, taking cover with columns. Two men emerged from the end of a corridor with pistols, and were approaching Tsunemori, but Katashi ran up to her, pointing his dominator in their direction.
Hiding behind an artificial fountain, Daiki lowered his dominator as he saw people around him running and screaming, getting in his line of sight and causing his weapon to transform, alternating between lethal and paralyzing mode. He saw a trail of blood on the white, almost transparent ground, and as he followed it he saw a man staggering up, a shard of glass stuck in his arm.
Yashiro continued to climb half crouched, until the smooth movement of the escalator itself carried her up to the next floor. Her gun shot through the air as a short brown-haired man ran towards her down the adjacent hallway, grabbing her forearm and shoving her. Yashiro barely noticed his black jacket, as her body tensed and she raised her trembling hands in front of her, gasping and recoiling, as she saw another man with a blue coat and black hair out of the corner of her eye.
When they lunged, Yashiro dodged their punches, hitting one in the knee with her fist and doing a quick spin, ducking and evading a kick that was aimed at her face. She landed one in the chest on the other who approached, causing him to stagger backwards. When the first one came back, Yashiro grabbed his forearm and drove her knee into his chest, knocking him to the ground, and turning to dodge a punch and hit his partner in the stomach. The other got up, kicking her back, but she stopped his leg by catching it with her own, and threw him to the ground again, causing him to let out a low groan of pain. She heard footsteps as the other man slid towards her, to punch her in the face and kick her. Yashiro grabbed his leg and chest in time, and threw him to the side using his strength and weight.
At that moment a taller figure with black hair and a black suit crossed the hallway, and Yashiro got to see an expression of genuine surprise. No one was used to having to fight people who had the will to kill, and despite his training, one of the men managed to take out his dominator with a sharp jab to his forearm, and a kick to the chest just as the weapon began to glow by switching to eliminator mode. Kougami clicked his tongue and frowned, backing up a few steps, but he raised his fists quickly and struck back just as hard.
When the man tried to punch her in the face with his fist, Yashiro slipped behind him and kicked him in the back of the leg, causing one of his knees to fall to the ground. She wrapped an arm around his neck, but he grabbed her back and yanked her in front of him. A slight grunt of pain escaped her lips as she felt the hard floor hit her back and head, but she avoided a punch with her forearms and grabbed his neck, turning him to the side and managing to get up, to knee him in the face and then elbow him in the back.
Several meters away from her, Kougami was dodging a few blows until he grabbed the man's wrist, punching him in the stomach, and grabbing him by the back of the neck to drive his knee into his chest. When the latter stood up gasping and tried to punch him in the face, Kougami slid to the side and grabbed him by the neck, slamming him against a column with the weight of both of them, then spun around jumping backwards, to throw him against another wall and drop him. The blow delivered directly to the back of his neck and head left him sprawled unconscious on the floor. Kougami staggered, falling to his knees on his hands with a cold sweat on his forehead.
Yashiro gave a kick, but the other stopped her leg with his forearm next to his face and kicked back. She grabbed his ankle and spun around, turning him and leaving him on his knees and back, facing her. When he tried to elbow her, Yashiro got up and slid down beside him, grabbing him by the hair and driving her knee into his nose. The man fell backwards with a groan of pain, and touched his bleeding nose for several seconds, rolling over on the ground, until he got up again, staggering.
Yashiro was standing with bated breath, but did not react in time when he ran crouching towards her, wrapping one arm around her waist and hitting her with the other. She grunted as she felt his fist on the side of her abdomen, and began to hit his back with her elbow as he pushed her into a column. When she kneed him in the chest, she managed to break away. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of the silhouette of a man running towards her, and with her hands still stretched out in front, Yashiro quickly bent down and kicked him in the middle of his chest, throwing him backwards.
Then she raised a knee to kick his face, forcing him to protect himself with his forearms, but suddenly lunged towards him, hitting him in the chest with her fists, making him lose his balance, and slid backwards to kick him in the stomach, which made him cough and violently hit the glass railing, shattering it into pieces with loud sharp sounds of glass crashing together.
Crime coefficient is 342. Enforcement mode is Lethal Eliminator. Please aim carefully and eliminate the target.
Kougami's narrowed gray eyes merged into a light blue after pieces on the underside of the dominator spun, slid and rotated in seconds, and as he pulled the trigger, the weapon fired a concentrated blast of blue energy that impacted against the man's chest, swelling rapidly before exploding and spilling traces of blood around it, staining the white floor. For a few seconds, the sight in front of them seemed surreal, and it took her a while to grab her own dominator, which Kougami was handing back to her. They both approached the railing that had been broken and looked down. Then Kougami turned and walked over to the man he had knocked unconscious several feet away from them, pulling handcuffs from inside his black suit.
A few floors up, in an expensive and modern coffee shop, the gunshots made people get up from their seats and approach the glass railing, taking out their cell phones to record what was happening, uploading it directly to the internet. There was one man who remained seated in a black armchair next to the railing, one leg over the other, dipping a madeleine into his tea before eating it and leaning back, elbows on the armrests, in one smooth motion. He had a beige three-piece suit with a tie and dark brown dress shoes. His golden eyes watched the figures scurry about on the second floor. It was a curious look, kindly indifferent.
“Here says that the PSB is killing civilians,” a young man read from his cell phone, showing the screen to a group of people his age.
On the second floor, a young woman running suddenly turned around, colliding with a man, as her young son's hand let go of hers among other people pushing to get out, and Makishima's eyebrows rose for a second as he saw a blue blast impact against her arm, lighting up the hall and spreading an expansive wave across her body, until it exploded and drenched the floor and the people around her with blood.
“If you wanted to surprise me you’ve done it brilliantly, Choe,” he waved his shoe gently in the air. “As you always do.”
Choe Gu-sung was in the parking lot, sitting in a black car with a laptop on his thighs and an earpiece. His yellow and red eyes glowed in the dark, slightly open, and his body was only illuminated by the glow of the screen, revealing a black jacket. Tabs on it showed what was happening inside the building. For an instant, people stopped, looking at the remains of what had been a human being, and a woman screamed, causing everyone to run harder than before, jostling each other like beasts. Makishima narrowed his eyes and tilted his head, looking for the child who had been separated from his mother. He wondered if he had hidden, or had ended up being crushed by the people desperately searching for the exit.
“Why?” Choe Gu-sung replied in a much deeper voice.
Makishima stopped the movement of his foot, and looked at the empty teacup on the black-rimmed, circular, glass table in front of him.
“Aren't you the one manipulating the media?” he brushed aside a lock of white hair and placed the small black earpiece.
“Not this time. Anyway, I don't think it would be… appropriate to help someone we betrayed.”
Makishima frowned and turned his head, peering over the glass railing. On the other side, a tall man with short black hair, surveyed the second floor with his forearms resting on the railing. He was dressed in black, with an open blazer, a shirt and a half-untucked tie over it, in a calm, nonchalant posture like his own. When their gazes met, the man pulled away from the railing, stretching his shoulders, and continued walking down the hallway.
“To speak of betrayal there must be trust. The only people who can betray us are those we trust,” Makishima thought aloud, and heard Choe sigh. “Do you know how to turn an enemy into a friend?”
“Creating a problem for them and then solving it," Choe pointed out instantly.
Makishima laughed with his mouth closed, and smirked for a moment. It was a quiet, guttural sound.
“Most likely, yes.”
“It’s a good way of making money.”
“And gain power and influence. After we’re done here, I’d like you to gather all information you can find on the Chiyoda bombing.”
Suddenly, Makishima's smile faded as he got up and stood in front of the railing, looking down one floor below, to which the man had descended and a PSB member was making his way with rapid strides, after nimbly taking down another who stood in his way with a firearm. There was a long, wide, roofed walkway linking the two corridors, to which they were both heading. Makishima rested his hands on the railing and frowned, as they both entered that walkway from opposite corners, and huge advertising holograms on either side blocked his line of sight.
“Something’s not right. Can’t see them,” he shook his head.
“Got eyes on them now,” stated Choe.
“I need to hear what they’re saying.”
“If we’re not careful, they’ll know something’s off with the security system. It’s dangerous,” Choe paused. “I like it. Already working on it. Might take a minute.”
“I’m going to get a little closer. Stay on task.”
Makishima exited the cafeteria area, passing through the group of people who had huddled against the railings. The thought of seeing them fall crossed his mind for a millisecond, but he continued on his way to the end of the long hallway with a leisurely gait, looking for stairs.
“Got access,” informed Choe.
“You like games? There's one I particularly like. It's called Go. Ever played it? Most modern civilizations believe that chess is the ultimate strategy game. Chess has 20 opening moves, whereas Go has 361. And I've played them all. You're thinking about your next move, aren't you? Your enforcer there... trying to take out men and corner me. Alas he won't get far, because he's pretty busy right now, isn't he? Every angle you've contemplated, every move you're considering... forget it. I've had my eye on you for years, especially since you joined the bureau. Fixating on unsolved cases. How unfair they are. I brought you here because I knew you were someone I needed to recruit.”
“I’m not like you.”
Makishima's eyes flashed for a second, and he turned his face towards the hologram of a huge pink fish, pausing at the sound of that slightly deep, cold and determined voice.
“You know this isn’t about killing serial killers and righting wrongs. And thanks to you, now that Miyake is dead, we might be just one step closer. I’m going to make you famous, Yashiro.”
For an instant, Makishima thought he was no longer able to hear the conversation.
“All you've done is confess to murder,” she finally spoke.
“I've revealed myself to you. Just like you revealed yourself to me. And maybe even to yourself. What is it going to be then? Oh…! Thank you, Yashiro. You've played quite remarkably.”
Yashiro's long brown hair fell down her back and chest. Her gray eyes narrowed, melting into an almost pale blue, similar to those of the man standing in the middle of the hallway, and at whom she pointed her dominator, holding it with both hands in an upright, relaxed stance. She frowned and looked at the top of the gun. She had the impression that it took too many seconds to synchronize with the Sibyl System, until data began to unfold in front of her, merging with reality. Her eyes widened slowly, as the female, mechanical voice echoed in her head. Agawa did not flinch.
Crime coefficient is 86. Not a target for enforcement action. The trigger will be locked.

Reading Week Homework (brand 1)
Corteiz
'Corteiz rules the world', the slogan of the widely known streetwear brand that has taken the industry by storm.
Tumblr media
Brand History:
Corteiz was founded in 2017 out of the bedroom of owner and designer Clint, however before there was Corteiz there was Cade. In 2015 two university friends, Clint and Ade, started a clothing brand known as CADE on the map. Cade was a short-lived business venture with the brands first drop being in April of 2016 and although it sold well the brand had shut down less than a year later. Clint then went solo and launched Corteiz. The first drop consisted of screen-printed blanks of their now iconic Alcatraz logo which represents rebellion against convention with the brands whole philosophy being about breaking free from the norm and ruling your own world. This idea of breaking free from the norm is something that resonates with our own brands ethos as our brand is based around the idea of merging south asian and western culture to create garments that can be worn in day to day life.
Designer, Clint, would screen print the pieces himself and get his friends to model and then sell the garments out of cars and at stalls. The brand began to gain traction through word of mouth and social media.
Tumblr media
Price:
Although the simple designs may seem replicable there is a huge demand for Corteiz. Corteiz’s appeal is its exclusivity. Unlike its competitors the exclusivity is not derived from price point, brands such as Bape and supreme sell garments at sky high prices whereas corteiz is selling tshirts at prices as low as £35. The brand is known to host events where they sell the garments for extremely low prices or even give them away for free. Most recently a secret location was revealed through clues on social media for a pop up store where corteiz was selling cargos for just 99p, this meant the only restriction on who could be in possession of these cargos was who got there first. This breaks down the financial hierarchy’s that are well established and have long held the identity of what is deemed as desirable. When price is no longer the issue when it comes to purchasing ‘luxury’ garments consumers are going to demand for more. The exclusivity comes from the fear of missing out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Place:
On a drop day the only place consumers can purchase garments is the corteiz website which requires a password which the customers must find on a corteiz social media page or is emailed to those who are subscribed to the mailing list. To maintain this sense of exclusivity Clint actively discourages reselling and has publicly shared him refunding resold purchases and getting corteiz pieces and garments taken down from sites like depop. This aspect of physically not being easily accessible whilst financially within reach is only further portrayed through their innovative guerrilla marketing strategies.
Tumblr media
Marketing:
On many occasions Clint has caused chaos in the streets of London sending people on wild goose chases to acquire garments from the latest drops. In August of 2019 the brand held its first giveaway where Clint and his friends roamed the streets of soho giving away free tshirts and leaving hints on social media as to where they would be which led to people running around the streets of London trying to make sure they didn’t miss out on the chance to get a corteiz t-shirt for free. One of the brands biggest stunts that even gained the attention of outlets such as Vogue Business was ‘Da great bolo Exchange’. For this event coordinates were shared on social media with instructions to bring a branded puffer jacket to give In exchange for a brand new corteiz bolo jacket. Although the brand only had 50 jackets to give away hundreds of people had shown up with jackets from brands to the likes of Moncler, Canada goose and North face. The jackets that people traded were all given to a charity that helps the homeless which only further emphasised corteizs brand message of being for the people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Corteiz now has a tight knit sense of community associated with the brand, its following grew through social media as these unconventional marketing strategies gained attention as people would reshare and repost the havoc being caused.  The hype surrounding the brand continued to flourish as celebrities such as Dave, Central Cee and Georgia Smith were spotted in the label. Rapper Stormzy wore a Corteiz tshirt on the main stages at both Reading festival and Parklife festival this allowed the brand to continue to gain even more exposure. Corteiz has seen an immense growth in support from high profile figures allowing the brand to reach new audiences most notably having a pair of their socks walk the Met Gala red carpet on the feet of Virgil Abloh. Despite a growing celebrity following, everyone receives the same access to the clothes via the website; a fundamental principle behind the brand. 'In this way, Clint promotes a non-conformist approach to managing a streetwear brand and attracting a mass cult following.'
Having begun to think about our own brand and its audience, this idea of community is something that Is extremely prevalent. With the core idea of our brand being about creating garments which are a fusion between two cultures this allows for wide range of people to feel seen. We hope to achieve a sense of community with our consumers that same way corteiz has.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
With a brand beginning in a bedroom six years ago to the step of the met gala corteizs monstrous success cannot be denied. Its unique marketing tactics and strong brand identity has gained corteiz a lot of love and respect from people everywhere. Their ability to make consumers feel special by being able to purchase these exclusive pieces continues to increase demand. Corteiz continues to grow with their lateset project being revealed through an illumination of their Alcatraz logo being projected onto the oxford street flagship nike store. The forthcoming collaboration between the power house nike and corteiz further cements corteiz as one of the biggest most desirable streetwear brands on the market. As the brand keeps climbing and the influence keeps growing corteiz is on the path to rule the world.

These brands have proven to be major players in the streetwear community. Check back next week to see more streetwear related content!

[Starz Power Diego Jimenez X Jazmine Mann (Black!OC)]
Word Count: 1591 words
Warning(s): Rated teen (until like chapter 6?). Language, more mentions of human trafficking. Previous Masterlist Next
AN: I got excited and I couldn’t wait to post this tomorrow. The OC finally appears here. (Diego looks like he’s trying to incite a three way and/or sexy shenanigans in this photo)

Tumblr media
Diego didn't like Agent Healy. He didn't like anything about this scenario or the way the man just knew about the baby or where to find them. Alicia and Diego were some of the biggest criminals in North America and nobody was supposed to know they were even on this side of the border. There was no doubt in Diego’s mind that Alicia blamed him for it. But regardless of fault, Healy did know, and for that, the man had Alicia's confidence (if even by a frayed thread) and his instructions were easy to follow.
Healy hadn't given him a name nor a description, so Diego, with nothing but an address and a time, walked into a convenience store at 6 in the afternoon. She'll know you, was Healy's only explanation. Diego deeply regretted this already.
The bell on the door rang twice and as his eyes swept across the floor, it was mostly empty. The employee behind the counter barely looked up at him. There was an old drunk woman leaning over the beers and a younger woman in deep contemplation over which trail mix she wanted.
Feeling out of his element, he wandered through the snack section, glancing over to the young woman again. She was kind of cute. Straight hair pulled into a high ponytail and glasses perched at the end of her nose. He was going to say something (he didn't know what) when she looked up angrily and tossed the bags in her hands back onto the rack.
"When are you going to get vegan options in this store," she yelled at the employee.
The employee's exhausted eyes lifted from inspecting her fingernails and she pointed lazily, "next to the beer. It's only drinks, sorry."
The young woman looked nervously at the swaying drunk woman standing guard of the path, then caught Diego's staring and disappeared as quickly as possible. The sour gummy worms Diego had in his hand returned swiftly to the shelf in a calmer imitation of the fit the other customer had thrown not seconds before. He grabbed a case of beer and twizzlers before heading for the counter. He felt foolish– he didn't know what to do or who he was meeting or even what the next step would be. The employee looked over him seeming to sense his disgruntlement.
"Just this?," she asked. He nodded, watching her try to scan the items, fail, sigh in annoyance, and then manually enter their item codes to the register. He took a second to admire the radius of her curls. The black hair turned a caramel color at the ends and he imagined her hair tie holding on for dear life to contain the thick mass. Should it snap, the poof would be magnificent.
"OK, $7.23."
"That's it?" He gave her his card and ID but looking over his items, he decided to take it back. He was overpaying for this garbage. He noticed her stiffen as she spotted the name on his card.
"You're Diego Jimenez?"
He raised an eyebrow. "Yes…?"
He didn't like the way her shoulders slumped suddenly. Women didn't react like that– scratch that– no one reacted that way to him. Fear or arousal, but never… resignation? She looked like she was mourning something. Finishing the sale, she gave him back his cards and grasped his wrist to keep him from leaving. This shocked him– nobody was stupid enough to lay hands on a guy like him.
"I'm Jazmine." As if he couldn't read the name on her tag, but then she continued, "I'm your new girlfriend."
"What?"
"Just"- the bell of the door chimed behind him– "play along," she whispered.
"Bella!" An overly joyful white man walked over to the counter with a bright, familiar smile. "Mi primadonna. So lovely to see you again."
Jazmine chuckled in that 'I get paid to do this' sort of way. "Well, you know I'm always working!"
"Of course, of course," he replied, fishing for his wallet. He wore a suit– not expensive enough to be tailored but it wasn't overly unfitting– and his hair was beginning to thin at the top. Jazmine reappeared from the store's office with a bag of prepared items in it seemingly just for this guy. Upon noticing her, he gasped in surprise and pouted his lip like a young girl reacting to getting a present from her first boyfriend. "You hold the key to heart, and every time I see your face it makes my day just a little brighter."
Jazmine bowed her head to hide behind her bangs (were they bangs? They were textured and fell over her forehead short of her eyes). "No need to thank me, I always enjoy your visits."
If Diego wasn't so confused, he might have noticed her lying through her teeth. At the present, he was distracted when this cheery, overly doting man looked down to find Jazmine's hand touching the wrist of this stranger. Something dark flashed in his eyes.
"Who's this?"
Jazmine hopped over the counter, planting herself directly in Diego's personal space, and caressed his arm. "This is my boyfriend Diego. Diego, say hi." Diego looked between him and her. "This is Jeremy. Jeremy Haagen– the guy I've been telling you about."
"Oh," Diego managed. Go with it. "Hi. Nice to finally meet you."
Jeremy Haagen's jaw ticked but he reclaimed his smile, albeit with a chip on the shoulder. He spoke to Jazmine, not Diego. "It's nice to know I am on your mind even when I'm not around. I think I'll be going– I've got an early day tomorrow. Goodnight, Miss. Mann. And, uh, it was nice to meet you as well, Di-e-go."
He disappeared quickly into the rapidly growing cover of night. Jazmine was practically giddy. She lay backward across the counter top like a happy cat and stretched so a sliver of her belly showed. "I've never had him leave so quickly. I should have thought of this months ago!"
Diego hummed resisting the urge to reach out and touch her. To satisfy his lust or his annoyance, he couldn't say which. He watched her roll back into a sitting position and meet his eyes, now a little sheepish.
"I guess I've probably got some explaining to do… I can't do it right here, right now, it's probably best if we wait til we're somewhere less public..."
~
His phone showed it was 9:45 pm in bold font, indicating it had been hours since the strange incident. Jazmine Mann was indeed the woman he was supposed to work with– a specimen he never expected to tangle with. The good news was that she knew a little of Healy's scheme– and the better news was that she wasn't overly fond of the man either.
The terrible, terrible, awful news was that her shift didn't end for fifteen more minutes, and her replacement was always late to their shift. Jazmine watched over the store, stocked shelves that looked virtually OCD with how untouched and organized they were, and finally she escorted the drunken Chinese woman out the back door and across the street, then returned and immediately went back to cleaning. Diego was beyond bored. His soul had left his body and was back at his penthouse suite getting sucked off by that vegan yoga instructor from earlier. He was nearly asleep when his head hit the window and woke him up with a growl.
"Can we fucking go?," he snapped. "Fuck your job. Nobody's been in here for hours."
Jazmine sighed, unperturbed by his lack of etiquette. Her hand drummed on her thigh until she shrugged. "OK. I have to lock up first, then we can go over to my place and talk about things."
Diego grunted and pushed off of the counter opting for a smoke to calm him. He made it a point not to watch her work because watching her was like watching molasses on a hot summer sundae. It didn't mean he didn't notice whenever her shadow passed by, or when the lights behind him finally went out. He was lighting a second cigarette when at last, she locked the front door. She had traded the dull red work vest for a jean jacket, allowing the music band logo of her shirt to show proudly. They walked seven goddamn blocks through city streets to get to her apartment and even with his gun tucked into his pants he had never felt more unsafe.
"So what did Healy tell you?" She secured every lock on her door and sat down without offering anything to drink. So she didn't get many visitors-- alright then, he wouldn't put out his third cigarette.
Diego cleared her coffee table none too gently and sat facing her. "A whole lot of bullshit. Said he's trying to dismantle and trafficking ring and that you were going to need some help getting the job set up."
Jazmine bobbed her head. "OK. Healy let me be in charge of the details, but since the set up was already in affect, he's just taking advantage of an opportunity." She said the word opportunity while making air quote gestures with her hands. "That guy you met– he's the target. He's been coming into my store for the better part of a season and making unsutble passes at me almost every day. Healy says he runs most of the human trafficking around these parts– specifically the underage scene... and he left it at that so as not to compromise the integrity of my 'character.'
"I guess you and I are going to be a team." Jazmine leaned so she had his full attention. "I need you to pretend to be my boyfriend while I draw him out so Healy can snag him. Understand?"
"Not really."
"Good, we're on the same page then," she joked with a note of sincerity.

When Star Vs. The Forces of Evil meets Cyberpunk
Summary Overview of Cyberpunk
This is an upcoming fan-fictional story of The Cyberpunk Chronicles: Project Maximus based on Star Vs. The Forces of Evil and Cyberpunk tabletop RPG game created by Mike Pondsmith's vision of a dystopian American future.
This fictional story takes place in an alternate timeline where America was once a great superpower has fallen from grace; leaving millions of Americans to defend themselves. They were either perished during a state of emergency, or were forced to join with a group of tribes calling themselves the Nomads. The rest of the world like China, Japan, and Europe maintain their economic status as they began to thrive for technology and cybernetic augmentations.
The bad news is half of the country became a desolate wasteland due to the lack of resources and decimating towns and cities of what's left of America. The New United States America (NUCA) was established after the collapse; under the dictatorship rule by President Elizabeth Kress. A former military officer who's been serving more than six consecutive terms while the government ignores the president's terms as long as she remains in power. The good news is some states like Alaska, North California, South California, Utah, Nevada, and The Republic of Texas have made a decision to exceed the NUSA to become independent and run their own governed state. In the year 1995, a new civilization has sprung up from America's ashes located in the Northern State of California called "Conorado City," which the city has changed to "Night City" after its predecessor Richard Night was assassinated from his newly constructed penthouse.
His vision was to create Night City into a place of sanctuary and establish law and order to keep people safe; hoping one day that humanity will thrive to rebuild the old world. However his vision was slipped away only to be snatched by a bullet. In the year 2021, Militech and Arasaka have declared war. The war was split into two factions and fought tooth and nail to obtain corporate's assets in order to become the toughest Megacorp in the century. This war has costed millions of lives and the world was ravaged by two powerful megacorporations; tearing the planet itself apart. They began deploying mercenary troops, tanks, aerodyne assault drop ships, armored vehicles, edge runners, and solos who are on the edge of cyberp psychosis. A mental illness caused by too many cybernetic implants after they were driven insane and went on a killing spree, which this mental illness was discovered by it's true nature for someone to loose their sense of human identity and costed their lives to become a psychotic killing machine.
The Fourth Corporate Wars lasted for four years until Night City was decimated by a pocket nuke after the Arasaka twin towers were obliterated. This city has become another bloody chapter of Night City's grim past and costed thousands and thousands of augmented souls. Their human civilization has proved themselves to show pure ignorance for their flaws and failed to repeat the same mistakes. Life goes on.
Decades have passed after The Fourth Corporate Wars, a rockerboy name Marco M. Kojima and his posergang members are trying to survive in a dystopian society of Night City's most dangerous city in America, against corporate cops, booster gangs, cultists, mercenaries, and cyber psychos.
Main Story & Focus on Marco's Posergang
The story focuses on Marco's lifepath before he became a Rockerboy and the events took place in Night City. Marco was adopted by a corpo family living in Tokyo, Japan. They raised him as their son for years until they were eventually murdered by corporate mercenaries. He ended up living in Night City for most of his life, but he also used to be part of a Nomad Clan and Valentino's gang.
He's also the lead singer musician and the leader of a booster gang calling themselves The Sons of Hellfire (Reference tv show of Sons of Anarchy) after performing his first gig at Night City High School. His gang's logo is a demon girl with a shape of a flaming heart that surrounds her (Hekapoo). Her appearance has pale skin (white) with fangs on her teeth and her forearms has spikes and claws on her hands. She has orange pupils and dark yellow sclera eyes, which she also has red hair and wears a fancy dress that matches her eyes. The demon girl also wields a pair of scissors, which Marco has on his possession. Marco's posergang members will cosplay as greasers from an 80s film, which they prefer with hair pomade and apply their hairstyle to pose someone who's famous. Many members will wear leather jackets modified with kevlar armor linen on the interior, and shoulder plates on the exterior, but sometimes they'll have a red collar around the back of the neck which protects them from getting hacked by netrunners. Some of Marco's gang are former booster gangs, solos, techies, Nomads, smugglers, and former corporate mercenaries. His members are consistent at least 30+ members for a relatively small group. Their list of gang activities mostly involves neighborhood watch (guardians), muscle-for-hire, street racing (either on road or off road), burgarly, and game activities (like poker, caravan, dominoes, five finger fillet, and blackjack).
Their headquarters is located somewhere in Night City where they live closer to the combat zone and they usually hangout at a local junkyard at a fancy 80s restaurant called "Johnny Rockets." The owner who runs the bar is Danse and they mostly serve alcohol, soft drinks, and milkshakes. They mostly rely with switchblades and armed with pre-war weapons, sometimes they prefer to carry heavy pistols and assault rifles, or shotguns. Their cyber bikes are customized that represents their gang logo, which they prefer to travel in large packs at least six-12 members and use highways to get around in Night City.
They're currently into conflict with the Malstrom gang since they don't appreciate their hostility for treating one of their members for being an "inferior human" and The Valentino's gang also has beef with Marco. A long time ago, Marco was once an initiate after his roommate Miguel encoueaged him to join their gang. Its not because he was concerned about choosing a side, but he also has a secret crush with Vaggie (Valentine Guerrero) despite she can be "gruff" with the boys sometimes. He stayed with them for over a year until Carlos and his friends caught a teenage straggler named Luke after stealing money from their gang. He handed the pistol to Marco and ordered him to kill Luke. He had two choices: He can become part of a gang member, or be left in the streets to fend for himself. Marco couldn't pull the trigger, but Carlos had no patience for pu#%$#s like him, so he decided to do it for himself. Marco decided to pull the trigger and shot Carlos in the leg. He didn't want to hurt anyone but he didn't want to become a murderer either, so Miguel told him to run and they escape.
The Valentino's gang and The Sons of Hellfire have been tearing each other's throats since day one, but none of them decided to start a gang war. Marco didn't want that, so the two factions mostly settle a dispute with street fights. One day, Marco was in a school cafeteria until he got into someone's face who didn't appreciate showing his face around here. They got into a fight while everyone was chanting the word "fight." When the fight was over. Marco didn't know that was Vaggie's girlfriend and she witnessed what happened. He pleaded Vaggie that it was an "accident" after breaking her friend's ribcage, but her response was "you're done."
Marco's History
Marco has no memory of who he is or where'd he come from. The only few mementos he had on him was two pairs of fancy scissors and an ancient samurai sword after his adopted parents discovered a baby crib sitting outside of their patio front door. Marco's scissors bows had a shape of a hear with a dark-purple color, a golden blade that looks rusted for decades, and the middle of the bolt has a logo of a fireball. The other scissors bows also has a shape of a fireball colored in red, similar to Marco's, the middle of the bolt is also shaded in yellow, and the end of the white blade has a shape of a dagger that looks sheathed.
The samurai sword he had in his possession was made out of copper and steel: On the collar it had holes that look like it had shapes of fins, the guard was a shape of a dragon that spews out a fireball, and the handle was decorated with skulls vertically. Although, the steel blade has been rusted overtime and hasn't been cleaned for ages, which there was no point of attempting to repair it. His father was kind enough to reconstruct his sword from the ground up and hired a blacksmith who knows him well. Marco now carries his father's sword that was recently been melted down from his old samurai sword. The sword itself has a Red, blood-like, Damascus blade with a copper plated collar of a dragon. The handle's linen exterior was black and red; decorated and shape like diamonds with a four-part symbol vertically.
His father decided to give him the name Marco because of the scissors he carried that was rusted has a signature that says "MARCO" engraved on his name, and gave him the middle name "Maximus," which comes from a latin greek name that means "Greatest" or "Largest." His father passed onto his adopted son's last name Kojima, named after his father before him, and the Kojima family has been working for Arasaka since World War II.
Marco's Personality & Estrange Powers
His personality has a combination of Berserk (brave, but emotionless), Nathan Drake (from Uncharted: funny, but can be a sarcastic jerk sometimes), and Ponyboy (The Outsiders: Cares about his friends and his loved ones). He can be a sarcastic jerk sometimes when he greets with his peers, even his sworn enemies. His life caused him to go through a tough depression after losing his adopted parents, but he had someone who gives him love and support. The only thing that fears him the most is his last name. If anyone found out that Marco was raised by a corpo family working for Arasaka. Many of his members and fans will shunned him. He didn't want everyone to know who he is, so he mostly keeps his secrets to himself except his girlfriend. His love of Johnny Silverhand's music inspired him to become part of a rebellion against Arasaka. He utilizes his musical lyrics to voice his anger and manipulates his fans to gain leverage and go against a specific group or person.
During Marco's early childhood, he had some kind of entity living inside of him. Whenever he feels agitated or angry, his orange pupils will glow brighter as a sun and his fangs will pop out from his teeth as a sign of anger. Marco has never lost control of himself since it's common to deal with local street punks and wannabe gangsters. His adopted parents have treated him with love and respect no matter how he looks different than the other humans.
If someone tries to harm him or his friends that puts them in danger. He'll beat them senseless and shows no mercy until they're either knocked out unconscious or they'll loses a tooth with a few broken bones. Many Night City residents and booster gangsters refer to him as: Hell Boy, El Diablo, Lucifer, Morningstar, and Mad Max.
Is SVTFOE a Crossover of Cyberpunk?
Yes, this is part of a fan-fiction story portrayed by some characters featured in Cyberpunk from Star Vs. The Forces Of Evil. There's also going to be some familiar faces added on my story, new enemies, and different scenarios. This story will focus on the main characters, including the gangs of Night City, Nomad Clans, and Megacorporations.
Disclaimer:
I never watched the show of SVTFOE, but I have read some fictional comic books made by independent authors and so as the creators who made this show.
What is Cyberpunk?
Cyberpunk is an old-fashioned genre that appeared in the 1950s or 60s by a group of RPG game fanatics who had a vision idea of a dystopian society: The difference between "dystopia" and "dystopian" have two different meanings, but they sound similar. The word "Dystopia" is a place or a community society under a utopia illusion that looks more frightening and unstable ruled by a powerful government or entity; which is inspired by Thomas More published from his book in the 1500s called: Utopia. Another word of "Dystopian" is a prediction that foresees a person's perspective of what our society will look like in the grim future (or The Dark Future).
The word "Cyber" is part of a metal gimmick or amputee of a cybernetic augmentation that's replaced with an artificial limb that looks fake, except it's manufactured by a company who makes them. In the world of cyberpunk, many war veterans have lost their limbs before the collapse. Many Megacorporations have began manufacturing cybernetic limbs that were in high demand, and benefited many disabled people to replace their lost limbs for cybernetics.
However this game didn't featured with interface plugs to connect with computers or machines back then until Mike Pondsmith released his first tabletop game of Cyberpunk 2020 in the late 80s. The word "Punk" is an old fashion style that people will wear flashy weird-looking clothes, leather jackets, metal piercings, crazy hairstyles, colors, boots, chains, and testosterone. Most people will design their own fashion clothing with many, many styles of their own design. When you see a posergang wearing flashy clothes, they'll dressed and match with weird-looking accessories, sometimes you'll noticed their facial and body features will not resemble as human. They can depict someone as a conehead, a furry animal, or a mythical creature.
Cyberpsychosis
In the world of cyberpunk, many solos and booster gangs will upgrade their implants and become superhumans to push their limits in order to survive, or to prove themselves worthy, but due to their mental illness of Cyberpsychosis. Their mental health has slowly deteriorated and became unstable. They will stop their daily routines (like eat, sleep, socialize, sex, or love interest) and become distant with friends and family. Soon, they'll see themselves more like a machine as they loose their human identity. And later afterwards, they'll become aggressive and see humans as "weaker" and "inferior." As a result, their psychotic rampage will caused them to go insane and lost the ability to reason.
Night City has become a dangerous place to live in America for decades, and Cyberpsychosis has become a big problem since the 2000s. Most state-sponsored organizations offer patients for treatment to recover from their mental illness, but it has become increasingly difficult to transfer patients to become a stable human being. The Night City Police Department has created a new division department called: NCPD Psycho Squad or Maximum Force Tactical Division (MAX-TAC). They have the best gear and equipment they need with heavily combats vehicles and AV-9s, with at least six highly trained SWAT members and one Officer in the field, but they sometimes do require to be cybernetically enhanced before deployment. They're mostly referred to as C-SWAT (Cybernetic Special Weapons & Tactical Squad) and are extremely aggressive when dealing with these cyber psycho threats. They will sent C-SWAT to kill or subdue cyber psychos if possible. If a SWAT unit fails, then they'll dispatch MAX-TAC units to take care of it.
What's it like Living in Night City?
Night City was an inspiration to rebuild a utopia city; free from government corruption and lawlessness. Richard Night's goal was to establish an independent City where everyone can live freely, but he was mysteriously murdered by a monster family. Megacorporations and private military like Militech and Arasaka have taken Richard Night's place and began expanding their business across Night City districts. The Night City Police Department is established and are divided into seven divisions, which they're privately funded by Megacorporations and are sent to patrol in each district zone "only to the highest bidder."
Although, some district zones where there's constant battles between factions and are crawling with booster gangs, cultist maniacs, cyber psychos, and street scum are called "Combat Zones." A combat zone is part of Night City's district located at the Pacifica district sector. Combat zones is a lawless place and are a no go. Law enforcement is limited or non-existent, and no emergency services to call for help. Traveling through the combat zone is not recommended and are controlled by a heavily armed booster gang running the district. If you happen to live near the combat zone where it's close to home. Many corporate cops and business executives tend to avoid that area and would not risk collecting tax money from residents who reside there. Sometimes booster gangsters will offer protection money for landlords and neighborhood tenants in case if there's trouble on the homefront. Some sponsored programs do offer licensing to work as police freelancers, neighborhood watchers, and bodyguards. Although there are some limitations to use some utilization of authority.
Night City's life of crime has two working class citizens: You have the higher-class rich family living in high-end corporate zones with corporate security and private militia, and you have the lower-class losers living in low-end district slums surrounded by booster gangs and violent crime in the streets. The middle-class is non-existent in Night City. It's not everyone's favorite choice, but people have decided live in those city slums these days. It's also a common routine for Night City resident to carry with weapons and firearms, and sometimes they'll modify their clothing to add kevlar and armor plates for body protection. Some cybernetic augs will also have implants to carry their weapon concealed like the mantis blades or a plasma cannon. The problem with Night City's lack of infrastructure and protection for their citizens only cared about "corporate interests" and can care less about their citizens unless their corporate business puts them on jeopardy. They're equally as evil and corrupt compare to some business executives.
Is This Story Starco related?
Actually, no. This story is related to a Markapoo timeline when Hekapoo falls in love with Marco. I read one of the creator's fan-fiction comic books from his patreon page (Zaicomaster14) and was interested about their love story. Marco is a reincarnation of Hekapoo, but his powers are limited in an alternate timeline because of his human form.
What Inspired You to Create a Fictional Story of Cyberpunk?
I first watch the trailer of Cyberpunk 2077's E3 trailer back in 2013 when they featured a video by CDProjekt Red. They're a small conservative polish company located in Europe and they're a big fan of Mike Pondsmith's work, so they offer him to turn his life's work into a video game that inspires people who play RPG games.
I have watched films that are based on science fiction and fantasy, and I have read a few books like Altered Life. If you have watched the movie Blade Runner and Altered Carbon (Netflix Series) that's based on cyberpunk. You'll get a clear painting picture of Night City's dystopian society where violence and oppression are the norm. A city being controlled by a powerful government or megacorporation that shares a common goal only for themselves, but not for the people who want a brighter future.

Maybe there's been simmering tension and V finds herself on the Southside, not knowing how she got there, just that she did. She sits at the bar at the Wyrm; nobody will make the cocktail because "That's not what we do here Princess. It's beer or shots. You can get your fancy-ass cocktails on the Northside," so she just buys the damn bottle and mixes it herself. Pea comes over, she makes one for him and it all goes from there..... Oh yeah, and then they fuck.
Okay, my dear. I apologize for the hefty delay in answering this prompt. I am SUPER behind and I hope this 3,000+ response at least sort of makes up for that!
My lovely @itsindiansummer13 also mentioned these two song lyrics to help inspire the tone of the story:
“You’ve ruined my lifeby not being mine” – from “Gorgeous” by Taylor Swift
“She knew from the veryfirst Old Fashioned they were destined for Hell” – from “Getaway Car” by TaylorSwift
I hope you enjoy!
Sometimes Hiram Lodge could be such a son of abitch.
Veronica Lodge watchedthe blurring lights of the small town of Riverdale as they whirred by, herposition tense as she sat in the back seat of her town car, the loyal hands ofher chauffeur behind the wheel as they made their way to the Southside.
It wasn’t a place she’dvoluntarily find herself in typically, but tonight she just didn’t care. Shewas in the mood to defy her father.
She was in the mood todo something bad.
As the car crunchedalong the gravel lot to the Whyte Wyrm, Veronica felt her insides take atemporary lurch with the soft braking of the vehicle.
Should she really be here? Was this a goodidea?
Veronica pushed herconcerns aside as she pushed open the door to the town car. She let one highheeled limb crawl out of the vehicle one at the time before she stood tall, smoothing the lines of her tight black dress down just above the knee. Shefingered the pearls that dangled around her neck as she looked up at themenacing Serpent poised in front of a luminous full moon on the bar banner, swallowing the last of her fears before she took a confident step forward.
Nothing and nobody couldshake a Lodge.
When she was within arms’length of the door man, she expected him to hold out an intimidating hand forher ID, but was taken aback instead when he drew her appearance in with onelong leer before cocking his head to the side and opening the heavy metal doorfor her to enter.
The interior of the WhyteWyrm was just what she expected – dimly lit with the stench of stale beerpermeating every inch of the space. Rectangular lighting structures decked outin stained glass advertisements of beer logos hovered above a series of pooltables, mostly occupied by a pocket of players with long wooden sticks in theirhands. There was a bulky jukebox situated by the front door, screaming out therebellious sounds of Thin Lizzy from built-in speakers as the lead singerchanted about there being a jailbreak.
There was a longsingular bar directly to her north and she took a solid gulp before she couldhear her heels click across the heavily lacquered wooden floor, and suddenlyshe could feel all eyes on her. When she settled at the bar, perching her lithebody on a vacant stool after laying her purse on the sticky surface of the barcounter, the eyes scattered.
She scoffed to herself, fighting to get the attention of the bartender, thinking how ironic it was thatnow she couldn’t get anyone to look at her. She crossed her legs and clearedher throat, holding a hand up to wave.
Eventually, thelong-haired bartender from the other end of the counter caught her eye and senther a casual nod before he crossed to where she sat, wiping the surface infront of him nonchalantly.
“What can I do for you?”
She considered her drinkchoice for a moment, earning an annoyed glare from the bartender, before shemade up her mind.
“An Old-Fashioned,please. With a fresh orange slice. Thanks gorgeous.” She tossed him one of hersignature Lodge smiles but he wasn’t swayed.
“That’s not what we dohere, princess. It’s beer or shots. You can get your fancy-ass cocktails on theNorthside.”
Her brow furrowed infrustration. “Are you serious?”
He shrugged hisshoulders and she could tell he was anxious to get to another waiting customerinstead of wasting his time with this indecisive priss that was clearly notfrom this side of the tracks.
“That’s the rule.”
She released a heavysigh and reached into her purse for her wallet. Pulling out daddy’s creditcard, she smirked as she opened her lipstick-covered lips to speak. “Fine. Letme buy the whole damn bottle of bourbon then. And a little bowl of cherries, please. I’m sure I can manage to make my own drink.”
Not wanting to argue, especially when she was offering an outstretched credit card with anundoubtedly high limit, he rang her up and slammed the bottle of whiskey downon the bar counter with the requested bowl of cherries and a single shot glass.
“Drink up.”
With those last twowords, he left her alone with her liquor as he reached into an ice chesthalfway down the bar to retrieve two amber bottles of beer for anothercustomer.
She pulled the plasticpour top from her bottle and set it to the side, tipping the rim over to pourher first shot. She usually wasn’t one for small, concentrated portions ofliquor, but tonight she was not in the mood to complain. Driven by the classic rockand the clash of phenolic resin from the pool balls that filled the room,Veronica lifted the rim of the shot glass to her lips and tipped her head back, swallowing down the bitter amber liquid with a single gulp.
Her lips pursed and sheblew out the burn from the liquor. Damn, that felt good. She was surprised at how much she enjoyed the freedom ofher inhibitions as they were released from her body with that single breathout. As she set the shot glass down on the bar, reaching forth to finger thestem of a cherry in the bowl, she suddenly felt a single pair of eyes on herbody, and she turned her head to the right with a subtle curve of her neck.
There across the roomstood a tall man decked out in a tight leather jacket, a pool stick nearly astall tucked in his hands with fingers that looked long and lean. His hair wasalmost as dark as the leather, his skin tan and his eyes a rich brown that werecurrently glued to her form. He was settled against the wall, the plump fleshof his lips turned up in a smirk, and the sight thrilled her more than she’d normallybe comfortable to admit out loud.
His entire presence wasunnerving, but again she was in the mood to do bad things. She wasn’t the typeto go back on her word, even if it was just to herself. Lodges were stubborn, her own father’s brand the very reason why she found herself at the Wyrmtonight.
She took a deep breathand decided to go for it, lifting the bottle up for him to see, beckoning himover in invitation with it. He stood frozen to the spot, almost like a statue, and she felt her confidence begin to pour out of her toes. She turned away fromhim and rolled her eyes.
She started to pourherself another shot to erase the sting of his rejection, but just as theliquid reached the top, she heard the deep, dark voice of a man standing rightbehind her.
“You’ve got another shotglass for me or were you intending to share that same one between the two of us?”
She turned her head, brown eyes meeting brown, and she felt her breath catch in her throat. He wasfar more gorgeous than he had looked in the dim light of the bar, and now thathe was so much closer, practically towering over her with his stocky form, shefelt the spit in her mouth dry up. She suddenly needed the liquor to whet herthirst.
“I’m sure we can persuadethe kind bartender to set us up with another glass.”
He chuckled and settledhis long body into the barstool next to her, his legs tucking into the stool’slower slats to avoid dragging them on the bar ground. She couldn’t get over howtall he was.
“Doubtful. It’ll takeanother hour before Hog Eye even bothers to give you any attention. You’reobviously not from around here. He has no time to waste on anyone not from theSouthside.”
“And you? Are you thetype to entertain Northsiders?”
He reached across thebar to grab a clean shot glass, setting it down beside hers for a fresh pour ofthe bourbon.
“Not typically. Butthere’s something about tonight that just feels like… maybe I should trysomething new.”
She just stared at him, intrigued by this random stranger with the deep voice and the sensuous lookinglips, his eyes kinder than the rest of his appearance. Her trance was brokenwhen he pointed to the bottle, his familiar smirk returning to his face.
“Are you going to pourme a drink or not?”
They sat there foranother two hours, exchanging laughs and flirtatious stares throughout thecourse of the night. Veronica couldn’t stop looking at his lips, imagining whatthey might feel like pressed against various parts of her skin. When his handscame up to grab the bottle, pouring them a third round, she was momentarilyhypnotized by his fingers, the phantom thought of them lifting up her skirt causinga sensation of warmth to pool between her legs from her daydream.
She would catch himstaring at her, just as interested in her appearance, his eyes darkening everytime she uncrossed her legs to switch positions, the hem of her dress risingjust slightly. His hand would twitch and she knew he was thinking aboutreaching out to touch her. The fact that she was doing the same number on him madeher spine shiver.
She took the fourthshot, her skin erupting in goosebumps, and in her boozy haze she felt the urgeto take their conversation to a more silent, shadowed spot in the bar. She stoodfrom her stool, grabbing her purse and slipping the thin strap onto herdelicate arm.
She was suddenly in themood to sin, and it all started with that simple craving for an Old-Fashioned.
He shot her a confusedlook, his eyes flitting between the fourth of the bottle remaining and herdeparting body as if to say we’re notdone yet.
She cleared her throat, pushing past any nagging thoughts that tried to shine through the alcohol tosay this is a bad idea.
“It’s getting late and I’mgoing to the bathroom to powder my nose before I go.” She bit her bottom lip asshe began to cross toward the tiny hall with the sign for the restrooms. “Youcan join… if you’re still in the mood to try something new.”
His brow rose and hewasted no time, abandoning the remaining bottle of bourbon to follow her to theback hall. She reached back to find his outstretched hand and they linkedfingers, a surge of intimacy and spark shooting through that simple touch, andher belly began to flutter with nerves.
She pulled him into thebathroom, relieved to find it was a single stall, and before she could botherto lock the door he had thrust her body against the wooden surface and his lipswere crushing hers, the strap of her purse quickly slipping from her shouldersto fall to the floor.
She could taste thestrong essence of bourbon and the lingering hint of tobacco on his tongue, their mouths mingling and moaning as his hands found themselves gripping herhair as hers fisted the lapels of his leather jacket.
They hadn’t even exchangednames, and she had no clue what to moan out, so she kept to the basic deities, muttering “Oh, God” and “Jesus” as his lips traveled from her lips to her neckand the dip at the base of the column of skin there.
Her grip was frozenaround his jacket but she soon found the energy to push the material from hisshoulders, breaking his lips from her flesh so she could begin to disrobe him. When the leather was on the dingy floor of the bathroom, replaced with thesight of him in a deep blue plaid and denim jeans, a pair of dog tags danglingfrom his flushed neck, she found her attraction to him was only growingstronger.
As the silencesurrounded them, she reached behind her to lock the door, the click of the knobechoing around the bathroom space like a war horn. They both stepped forwardand bodies clashed, his hands coming behind her ass cheeks to lift her up,settling her bottom on the damp counter of the bathroom sink.
She tipped her neck backfor his lips to explore and she shivered as she felt his fingers slid up thelength of her exposed thighs, the hem of her dress bunched just below heraching sex.
“Touch me,” shewhispered into his ear and she was greeted back with a long slow moan from his chest. His fingers slipped past the tunnel of her dress to find the thin band of herthong underwear, pulling them achingly slow down past her center and her longlimbs, over her kitten heels. He held them up for her to see before he veryobviously tucked them in the back pocket of his jeans.
“Hope you weren’texpecting to get those back.”
She smirked, a streak ofconfidence running through her system. “How else would I get you to rememberthis night?”
He grinned, bested byher retort. “I thought you were going to leave. I couldn’t let you go withoutkissing these lips” He reached up with his thumb and ran them along the line ofher swollen and assaulted mouth.
“I can just tell you’regoing to ruin my life by walking out of this bar, sugar. I don’t think I couldforget that if I tried.”
She reached out with herteeth and bit down softly on his thumb, watching his brown eyes darken with anew shade of lust.
“Then make me not forgetyou either.”
Their lips met again, this kiss starting off surprisingly tender before it deepened and the passionerupted again, his fingers returning to the apex between her thighs as theyteased the entrance of her glistening wet slit.
“Damn, baby. You’re sowet for me.”
She groaned as heslipped two fingers inside her, pumping in and out as her back arched inwardtoward his chest. One of her palms settled on the counter as she then leanedback, spreading her legs as wide as the dress would allow, her knees smackingagainst the side of his hips. Her other hand crawled upward to grip his dogtags, using them for leverage as her hips rolled under his touch.
He released a softstream of expletives from his lips as he continued to finger her with an evenpace, his jeans growing increasingly tight as he fought to bring her to climax. Her dark hair cascaded down her back, reflected in the spotty bathroom mirrorbehind her, her eyes closed in ecstasy as she moaned in high pitches, each onestriking his erection with sexually lethal sound waves.
When she looked back upat him, watching his dark features shadow over dangerously as he continued towork her with his long fingers, she realized she wanted this to go evenfurther. There’s no use in sinning if it’ssomething small, she thought.
She released the dog tagand slid her hand down toward the evident erection that was poking against theconfining material of his pants. She began to stroke him outside of the fabric, watching as he tipped his head back and growled. She bit her bottom lip andfelt the boldness completely take over.
She reached for thebutton and popped it open ceremoniously, his eyes flying back to hers withsurprise. When she began to lower the zipper, he cleared his throat, though ahint of huskiness lingered with his words.
“Are you sure you wantto do this?”
She nodded. The liquorwas beginning to wear away, burned off by their passionate embrace under the fluorescentlights of the bathroom. It wasn’t in her pedigree to commit to dark delightswith a random stranger, but there was something about this guy that feltgenuine, that felt real. That felt right.
All she wanted in thatmoment was to feel him deep inside her, wrapped around her limbs, her lips.
“Please,” she whisperedand she felt the air between them soften for a glimmer of a second, her heartthumping with something a little more dangerous than lust.
And just like that, themoment was gone and he was leaning in for another deep kiss, his hand coming upto fist in her dark hair.
When they broke free, heleaned down and procured a condom from a pocket inside his leather jacket. Hestood in front of her and parted the open flaps of his jeans before loweringthem down around his ankles.
He was bare, nounderwear present, and painfully hard. His length was impressive and she couldn’tstop herself from licking her lips in anticipation. He chuckled lightly, reaching for her mouth with his own as he rolled the condom down his length betweenthem.
He moved in closer, parting her thighs with his calloused hands before guiding himself to herentrance. He pulled back enough to look into her eyes once more, searching forthat final sign of approval, and when she smiled he took that as a yes andpushed forward, joining them together with a single thrust.
They both groanedtogether, her arms coming up to tangle around his neck as he grabbed her legsand linked them around his waist, pushing forward and back over and over insideof her. They rolled together, hip to hip, their bodies pressed together as theyfucked there in the girls’ bathroom of the Whyte Wyrm.
“You feel so good, baby,”he moaned into her ear, earning a round of whimpers from her own lips as hethrust into her harder and harder, his dog tags mingling with her pearls asthey pulled at each other, getting as close as physically possible though itstill didn’t feel close enough.
It didn’t take longbefore she felt the welcome sensation of tingling begin to simmer in her toesand the core between her legs where they were joined, the knowing sign ofclimax just on the edge.
“I’m gonna cum,” shewhimpered, deepening her hold around his hips with her legs, the steely peak ofher heel almost digging into the flesh of his ass as the muscles there flexedand released with every pump inside her.
“Just let go, baby,” heresponded, his lips falling just short of her jaw where he pressed kisses downtoward her pulse point, sucking on the skin to create small suction marks that she knew would turn purple and blue in the light of the new day.
She dug her nails intothe back of his neck as she erupted from below, her walls clenching tightaround him before her folds began to shiver and release her arousal around hislength. He fell forward, taken aback by the tight clamping sensation of herwalls around him, nearly losing his breath like a punch to the gut.
“Holy shit,” he groaned, fucking her faster and faster, lost to the rhythm of their hips as theycontinued to roll. She could feel orgasm #2 on the horizon and she leaned intoit, tipping her head forward to capture his lips for one final kiss before heslammed into her, grunting into her mouth as he came.
It took them both amoment to catch their breath, their chests heaving up and down together, sweatclinging to both of their brows. The scent of sex and stale piss hung in theair around them, but Veronica had never felt more satisfied giving in to themoment, this evening of sin and sex the perfect defiance against Hiram Lodge.
However, her father wasthe last thought that came to her mind as she suddenly realized the best partof the night was getting to know this incredibly gorgeous, incrediblyintriguing and mysterious stranger from the Southside.
Sometimes trouble was just what she needed.
When they disentangledand rearranged their clothing appropriately, they exited the bathroom as ifnothing had happened with the exception of their intertwined fingers as she ledhim toward the front door of the Whyte Wyrm.
They stopped by the exitand faced each other, and she could feel the hesitation and the disappointment hangingin the air as she readied herself to cut the night short. She reached up towipe a sweaty strand of hair curling in front of his forehead, tucking itbehind his ear.
“We never exchangednames, I realize.”
“Sweet Pea,” he answeredquickly, as if knowing this moment would be coming. “My name’s Sweet Pea.”
She smiled, readjustingher purse strap around her arm. “Thanks for the company, Sweet Pea. I had anice night.”
She dropped her handfrom beside his face and began to step forward. With a quick pivot on her heel, she turned to blow him a kiss.
“Veronica Lodge. Comefind me in the Northside sometime, Sweet Pea.”
She left him behind withthe farewell clicking of her heels before pushing past the front door into thecool night air outside. She climbed into the waiting town car, slamming thedoor shut behind her, and as the vehicle pulled out of the lot she couldn’tstop the squeal that slipped past her lips.
Who knew doing something so bad could feel so good?
