this is more of a fun and silly ask, but which group is the most popular? (follow up: do the mods have a favorite ? :D )

Hi! Popularity wise, there are a few ways to define it. We can look first off at which group has the highest concentration of members in it at the current moment, though that is at least a little impacted by which groups have been most recently open for applications or had adoptables made available for them. However, based on numbers alone, this is how things shake out, including the Mods and our presence in each group!

NettleClan has 25 members.

CreekClan has 25 members.

JaggedClan has 33 members.

FogClan has 31 members.

The Trove has 21 members

As I mentioned, this tends to make sense just with which groups were most recently open. FogClan was our most recent and JaggedClan was right before them. The Trove's been waiting a while for an opening which is why it's coming up next!

As far as for which group is the most popular otherwise, well...we did do a little bit of a popularity contest in-server. Our members fought long and hard to try and determine a winner, and though we don't have every cumulative vote to count (it was certainly intended to be a bit more silly than anything else - every group is appreciated in ThreeClans, and as members can themselves be in up to three at a time, often they'll have a hard time even picking a favorite to begin with) we did have quite a funny result to show you.

With votes tied exactly, NettleClan and CreekClan were determined to be our server's most popular groups. They're hilariously enough quite notorious for an in-server rivalry stemming from a war that occurred years ago at this point spearheaded by their leaders Crowstar and Currentstar, and were the focus of one of our openings in which your two choices of clan to join were either NettleClan or CreekClan: Roots or Rivers. It truly seems some things never fade...

As far as Mod preferences go, I can say personally that I know we all find ways to enjoy individual groups for individual reasons...and that we all have a group that holds a special place in our heart for one reason or another. My personal favorite is NettleClan, Mod Liz's favorite is CreekClan, Mod Tori's favorite is NettleClan, Mod Corb's favorite is FogClan, Mod Snow's favorite is The Trove, and Mod Leaf's favorite is NettleClan.

I can't give you each individual reason for all their personal inclinations towards their favorite groups, but I can say that my sentimentality for NettleClan runs all the way back to when I first applied to ThreeClans myself and was a member long before I was ever a Mod! I joined the group during its very first opening and have been a part of it for its entire 8 year long runtime. It's hard not to love the clan that got me established here!

Mackerelstripe - Deputy. Formerly Flint of the SS Splasher

Keelbelly - Medicine Cat. Formerly Rum of the SS Splasher. Had dreams of a strange cat that warned her of the coming storm and continues to guide her now that the crew clan has settled.

Sailpelt - Mediator. Formerly Muffin of the SS Splasher

Seelspot - Warrior. Former Rogue (Used to live on the streets of Twoleg Place)

Rustbellow - Warrior. Former Rogue (Originally from Torn Clan. Left with Ratwhisker)

Gullwave - Warrior. Former Rogue (Grew up near a harbor where ships would frequently dock)

Pebblecrash - Warrior. Former Rogue (Originally from Long Clan. One of several that were exiled for supposedly plotting against the leader, who was actually senile.)

Ratwhisker - Warrior. Former Rogue (Originally from Torn Clan. Left voluntarily because they were tired of being looked down on for their mom being a kittypet.)

Blazekit - Kit. Former Kittypet. (Tossed out by twolegs.)

These are my Warriors ocs, they are from Madienclan, the hearty and the bullheaded.

Little brown guy is Wildpaw with his older brother Tanglesmoke. They are sons of the leader of Madienclan Currentstar and his mate Sneezestripe.

Wildpaw has a bit of trauma but that's okay! Tanglesmoke is always there for his little brother after a long day of training with his mentor (and sister) Sparrowstripe. (please don't mind the inky deeps of the dark forest that effects their lives it's fine :) )

Applications for ThreeClans are currently open.

Season after season, the cats of CreekClan have become familiar with struggle. Through floods, starvation, and war pressing at their borders, they have been beaten down time and time again. Now, as their plentiful territory dries to dust and a drought hangs over their heads, CreekClan’s very home is at risk. The water is receding, more skirmishes are sparking, and CreekClan hangs in the balance. 

Their future seems uncertain, though one thing is for sure. A chance encounter awaits them, a group of cats known as the Tide Watchers lingering just past the horizon. CreekClan is fated to collide with these cats, though time may only tell what their introduction may mean for both the future of CreekClan and the cats of the Tide Watchers.

Prologue (Before the First Moon)

Most ships never had more than three cats at a time onboard. The ship she was from had seven. Including herself, only four survived the wreck. None of the humans were so lucky.

The ship has been called ‘Splasher’ by the humans and she had been called ‘Muffin’. She never found out what a Muffin was, felt no real connection to it, never felt like it really identified her, so she was grateful when the rogues she and her fellow survivors met told them of their naming traditions. She was Sailpelt now, named after the formerly majestic sails of her broken home and her mostly white pelt.

Her family was collectively called ‘Splash Clan’ now and made its home in the wreckage of their old home. 

Currentstar, Mackerelstripe, and Keelbelly were strong and learning the ways of the surrounding ‘clans’ quickly, thanks to the handful of ‘rogues’ who decided to stick around, but Sailpelt was old. Too old to be much help hunting, fighting, or learning medicine. But she’d always been good with other cats. She could… mediate, perhaps, any internal disputes that might arise. 

For now though, she would investigate the new kit one of the former ‘rogues’ has brought back…
