CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask Review
This anti-aging LED (Light Emitting Diode) mask combines two wavelengths of red light and near infrared light spectrums which work below the skin’s surface to stimulate the natural rejuvenation process, creating a visibly glowing and noticeably healthier-looking complexion.
This is the first home device I have ever used and I have shared all my experience with it after 5 weeks of consistent use in my recent blog post: CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask Review
Have you ever tried Red Light Therapy before? What are your thoughts?

Hello everyone. This post is all about healing and improving our skin through the benefit of LED light therapy using the Currentbody face mask. My Honest CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask Review
When it comes to at-home beauty tools, I am generally not even a little bit interested. The last time I purchased one, it was the battery-powered Conair face exfoliator… and I’m pretty sure that thing scrubbed my face right off and made my breakouts 10 times worse than they already were. After that, I’ve said, “No thank you!” to every at-home beauty tool that’s come my way. That was, until 6…

Review : CurrentBody's Dermalux Flex MD LED Light Therapy Device
What is it?
A professional LED device
Who is it for?
For all skin types. It has various setting to treat acne, aging skin as well as inflammation
What’s in it?
The device has a total of 360 LED bulbs (120 blue, 120 red, 120 near-infrared) which send wavelengths deep below the skin's surface.
Blue light (415nm) is absorbed into the skin’s first layer, triggering a natural reaction to destroy the acne-causing bacteria to reduce breakouts. Blue 415nm is clinically proven to significantly improve/clear mild to moderate acne by 76% after just 4 weeks (Morton, 2005).
One layer down, red light (633nm) is absorbed. Energising the skin to promote faster repair and renewal, it rejuvenates cells using targeted treatments for a host of concerns including fine lines and wrinkles, redness, pigmentation and psoriasis as well as muscular and joint pain.
Red 633nm and Near Infrared 830nm have been demonstrated to improve skin texture and smoothness by up to 79% (Neil S Sadick, 2008).
In the skin’s deepest layer, near-infrared (830nm) works to reduce inflammation, calm irritation and strengthen the skin. Near Infrared light 830nm has been proven to increase cell regeneration by up to 200% (Dr H Whelan et al, 2001).
How to use?
Step 1: Place the base of the Dermalux Flex MD on a flat surface.
Step 2: Slide the LED panel into the base.
Step 3: Ensure the controller is connected using the cable.
Step 4: Plug this into the base unit and connect the power cable.
Step 5: Familiarise yourself with the manual and get to know the different wavelengths which treat specific problems.
Step 6: Turn on and simply select your treatment using the coloured buttons.
Step 7: Press the start button and relax for the 30-minute treatment session.
What to expect?
Improvements in redness, fine lines and wrinkles
Reduction in acne, psorasis and rosacea
Pros
Recommended by dermatologists and professionals
Comparable to devices used in clinic
At the correct wavelength
Can be used on both face and body
Comes with eye shields
Cons
None
Conclusion
Light-emitting diode (or LED) treatments are one in-office skincare service that you can also do from the comfort of your couch. (Unlike Botox, for example, which you’re clearly not going to administer yourself while catching up on The Gilded Age.) Which begs the question: Do you even need to go to a dermatologist for an LED session?
After all, while credible home-use LED devices aren’t inexpensive (costing upward of $435), in-office services also aren’t cheap. (A single pro LED appointment can run from $25 to $85 or more.) However, there’s a time and place for both modalities, and a comprehensive skincare program includes each of them.
While there are plenty of effective masks, wands and pens out there now, none quite match the original in-clinic option: the Dermalux Flex MD LED panel.
Now available for at-home use, the Flex is a skin-tech behemoth. If you’ve had an advanced facial in one of the country’s leading clinics recently, you’ll likely have experienced the incredibly soothing and satisfyingly effective treatment before.
The most powerful home-use LED device on the market, the Flex offers seven treatment protocols, three shades of light and a host of benefits, from reducing redness to treating acne, wrinkles, pigmentation and potentially even helping with psoriasis and muscle issues.
The Flex MD uses the most clinically proven wavelengths – blue 415nm, red 633nm and near-infrared 830nm – to rejuvenate cells, reverse the signs of ageing, improve acne, relieve muscular and joint pain, speed wound healing and treat psoriasis. Their LEDs are unique to any other brand, developed to deliver the most precise light energy to the target cells. The number of LEDs is not the important factor, but the power emitted into the skin. Dermalux LEDs deliver more energy per second at the peak wavelength and the most energy over the duration of the treatment than any other LED device.
There really isn't any device that compares to the quality and efficacy of the Dermalux. For someone looking for professional grade LED treatments, this is the very best device that money can buy.

LED Face Masks: The Next Level in At-Home Skincare
For years, we have heard of different skincare trends, products, and tools that promise to improve our complexion. However, one of the latest buzzes in the beauty world is LED face masks. These innovative devices use LED light therapy to address various skin concerns, from acne to fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and more. In this article, we will explore the benefit of LED face mask and recommend some of the best LED face mask available in the market.
Benefits of LED Face Masks:
LED face masks are gaining popularity among skincare enthusiasts due to their numerous benefits. Here are some of the most notable advantages of using an LED face mask:
Reduces inflammation and acne: Red light therapy helps to reduce inflammation, redness, and acne by stimulating collagen production and improving blood circulation. This results in a clearer and brighter complexion.
Reduces fine lines and wrinkles: Blue light therapy helps to promote collagen production, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also improves skin texture and elasticity.
Improves skin tone and texture: Both red and blue light therapy can improve skin tone and texture by stimulating cell regeneration and increasing blood circulation. This can result in a more even skin tone and a smoother texture.
Enhances product absorption: LED face masks can enhance the absorption of skincare products by opening up the pores and allowing the products to penetrate deeper into the skin.
Best LED Face Masks:
Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare SpectraLite FaceWare Pro: This mask features both red and blue LED lights and has been clinically proven to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and clear acne.
CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask: This mask uses red and near-infrared light to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin firmness, and promote collagen production.
MZ Skin Light Therapy Golden Facial Treatment Device: This luxurious-looking mask features five different LED light settings and claims to improve skin texture, reduce inflammation and acne, and promote collagen production.
Conclusion
LED face masks are the next level in at-home skincare. They offer a non-invasive and convenient way to address various skin concerns, from acne to fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and more. Whether you're looking for a budget-friendly option or a luxurious device, there's an LED face mask for every budget and preference. By incorporating an LED face mask into your skincare routine, you can achieve a clearer, brighter, and more youthful complexion.

Anti-Aging
Nowadays, many of us do not want to age. Or at least look visually young and avoid wrinkles at all costs. There are a lot of curious beauty products that are supposed to help us do that.
Wellbox S LPG System [2] Removes cellulite, punishes sagging skin and helps remove stubborn fat
CurrentBody Skin Face, Neck & Décolleté Set [3] Tightens the skin thanks to LED light therapy. Reduces visible fine lines and wrinkles and improves skin tone and texture.
NuFACE Mini Face trainer [4] Force the face skin
Anti-wrinkle straw [5] Fits horizontally to your lips, eliminating the wrinkling of your lips when using the straw.
Face lifting machine [6] Stimulates muscles and achieve a facial lifting and tightening
All these products are designed to help us avoid wrinkles or smooth wrinkles again. What is also noticeable, all these products are aimed primarily at women. On the pictures that advertise the products are exclusively young and the ideal of beauty in the modern world, corresponding women. But why do women in particular want to look young?
One theory is our genetics. In the past, young people were responsible for reproduction. The survival and continued existence of a family or group, was then only possible if as many and healthy children were born. The young generation was responsible for this. So a man would pair with the younger ladies so that he would give birth to as many children as possible. This ensured the continuity of his lineage.
Another reason is social media today. They show us daily that women can still have super smooth skin at the age of 50 or 60. But also in advertising or on television, we often see only one type of woman: young, good-looking and no wrinkles on her face. These images shape our ideas of the female self. The image of the woman is often created from the perspective of the man and portray her as incredibly young. Aging is thus evaluated as something negative, and youthfulness corresponds to an essential value of beauty in our society. At the same time, the aging process is not considered a normal part of life and youthful appearance must be protected. Externally, youthfulness is manifested mainly in the skin, which should be smooth, firm and wrinkle-free.
"Praise is due to those who, despite their age, are still fit and independent, who look much younger than they are, who are still attractive for their age, in which age does not really take place at all - at least not visibly" [1].

In today’s hot seat is CurrentBody’s Skin LED Light Therapy Mask, also known as the mask loved by Kristin Davis, Kaley Cuoco, Suki Waterhouse, Nina Garcia, Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan and many more. Interested in the CurrentBody Mask or Omnilux Contour, but neither have blue light.
I'm new to the LED light therapy world, but from what I've learned is that red light helps with wrinkles and blue light with acne. I'm feeling a little bummed that neither the expensive CurrentBody or Omnilux masks have blue light in them. I'm concerned about both wrinkles and acne for my skin so it seems like both would be helpful.
I have a hard time justifying the price if it's not coming with both, but am I being unreasonable, and should still get one of them?
