I feel like Cullen unintentionally set a bit of an unrealistic standard for other Templars eventually wanting to get off lyrium.

He overcomes addiction and proceeds to:

Lead an entire military force that rivals nations

Reconnect with his family

End up with an entire country's worth of noble marriage inquiries

Be adopted as a little brother by a stunning and brilliant Antivan ambassador and a hot assassin/and/or the Pope

Get laid often by the love of his life, the Herald of Andraste

Be chosen by a dog to be his new dad

Marry the love of his life (the aforementioned Herald of Andraste)

Start a clinic to help others overcome lyrium addiction and free their minds

Half of this occurred when he was still in the recovery process and actively going through withdrawals.

I'm a firm believer (just from the example he's already set) that Cullen is naturally/instinctively inclined towards all of those peak "high romance" gestures that women love.

We already know how he'll hug and hold the Lady Inquisitor and kiss her cheek while letting her rest back against him.

Which, by the way...🥵

But also:

Hand kissing? He's all over it. If the Inquisitor goes through Trespasser, he'll kiss both hands (her automail one and her own) to make sure she feels it.

Forehead kisses? Done.

Hand at the small of her back when they're walking somewhere? Definitely.

Arm rested [a little protectively] over the back of her chair or seat without smothering her? 100%.

Love imagining that mission where Cullen goes with you to find Samson while you're romancing him.

He's worried about Lavellan and that since he's gotten off lyrium, he might be weaker in a fight and won't be able to defend her

But when he's fighting the red Templars and monstrosities, he's flying through them! He's doing great! He feels rejuvenated and any blade that hits bounces off of him like it's nothing! He didn't think he'd be too bad in a fight since he's still been training soldiers and practicing on his own, but he had no idea he'd feel this strong!

Meanwhile Dorian, Iron Bull, and Cole are fighting for their lives because Lavellan, their resident healer, is focusing purely on Cullen, healing him, buffing him, putting a barrier over him, and blasting anyone who gets near him with magic that sends them flying

They understand, but later, Iron Bull and Dorian tell her she can't do that again
