So here's a short ramble about one my headcanons!! Unsure if there's a sfw cuddling community out there but if there is I'm one of them /lh

So I feel like if Kevin were to cuddle anyone—he'd usually always be the big spoon, and would be kinda quiet the whole time. But he'd also be very soft spoken with whoever he was cuddling with while giving them lil head-scratches, back-scratches, or head-rubs. He wouldn't exactly be 'sweeter' verbally wise since I imagine he'd just be like his usual self except kinda quieter, but he'd show his affection physically.

I imagine Kevin usually wants to be the little spoon since he rarely gets to be, and when he does get to be, he's either pretty quiet or starts complaining about his work while holding onto the person and burrowing his face into their chest or resting his head on their lap.

the respectful kind

his favorite is half-cuddle — him on his back, you curled up into his side, head on his chest. Does his arm fall asleep? Absolutely. Will he stop? Never.

make his heart wobble any time you look up and about how much you like this — spending time with him, being close like this, knowing he cares about your opinion enough to ask so frequently for it.

Isagi is the kind that likes to cuddle the nights before a stressful thing. He gets to talk out his troubles and generally feel better about whatever anxieties he's got. Also, he genuinely seeks your life advice. He talks through his problems, that's who he is, and with you like this it feels like such a private time of vulnerability.

You habitually play with one another's fingers and hands. Usually it's sweet, but sometimes it devolves into thumb wars, arm wrestling, and even all out tickle battles. Sometimes he even lets you win

If he's lucky he can get you to fall asleep before he does. Reason? He likes watching you doze on him. Something about you falling asleep to the dip and rise of his chest makes him all giddy and humble at the same time.

Inevitably someone walks in on you two only to be greeted with the terror-inducing glare he pins them down with. Wake you up and they are not long for this world.

Hyoma Chigiri

the timid kind

go-to is the traditional spoon. It means you don't have to look at him and whatever embarrassment he's gotta be showing while being this close to you.

As time goes on, he starts to get almost too comfortable with it. On the phone? Playing a game? Fuckin' doing laundry? Doesn't matter. When he's lying on any bed or couch, there is a distinct bubble of space, and if you invade the bubble, you're within striking distance. His arms are nearly as fast as his legs. Chigiri will latch onto you, will pull you in, and will interrupt whatever it is you wanted to do so he can spoon you.

Rub his hand or intertwine fingers while he's got an arm draped over you and he is GONE

There have been times when he's pushed you away, and though it makes sense — he's always been the kind to close himself off, turn vile and harsh when he's hurting — it breaks you. When you're both ready to reconcile, somehow it ends with your back to his chest, his legs mixed with yours, and his warm hand holding you snug to his body.

Also likes this position because it lets him nuzzle in right on the wispy hairs at the bottom of your neck or the big vein on the side.

Turn the tables on him by flipping over in his grip and facing him head-on. It's also a nice way to get even closer to him when you've had a bad day. A kind of haven can be found in nestling under his chin. He's alright with this — it means you can't see his face and the obvious love-sick tint to his eyes.

Rensuke Kunigami

the kind that doesn't know his own strength

best likes the space-saver, aka, one person laying on top of the other. Boy doesn't care which of you is on top. He likes supporting your body or you supporting his — something about being the other person's strength makes the back of his head tingle.

first time he lays on you, he doesn't check his weight at all, just flops down. Immediately thinks he's broken you when you squeak. After that he's almost too wary about hurting you. Am I too heavy? Can you breathe okay? Do I need to get up? You can get on top if you want. Relax Kunigami, just don't fall from orbit and you'll be fine.

Icing on the cake is when you play with his hair. Dude could be angry as an ox, ready to rip someone in half, and two minutes of your fingers in his hair has him fighting to stay awake and spend time with you. What was he angry about again?

One time you fell asleep on his chest, all blissed out and comfy, only to wake up in a shiny puddle of your own drool. You were, understandably, mortified, but the embarrassment turns to affection when he casually disregards the whole thing: it's just a shirt, it'll dry.

You figured you repaid the favor when several weeks later he was one on top of you, head burrowed unceremoniously into your stomach, arms underneath your back, refusing to look up or speak. The reason revealed itself when he finally met your eyes.

Tears. Tiny sniffs too. Four words: I failed my team. That was all he said before digging his face back into your skin. It took time, and a lot of encouragement, but he did eventually snap out of the funk and even apologized for messing up your clothes. It'll dry, you said, and you shared a little snicker.

Okay, first things first, if anybody asks him, he's big spoon. But that's such a lie.

Eren is a big baby and wants needs to be held.

He's probably laying his head on your chest or in the crook of your neck while you're rubbing his back.

He also really likes when you talk to him while cuddling. It calms him, he really loves your voice, like way too much.

The best time to cuddle him is when he's having a jealous or possessive episode. This dude is going to be clinging onto you for dear life. Like closing any space between the two of you, to be in contact with you the best he can.

Cuddling Eren is always good. Except in summer. I mean he's all over you. And it's already hot. You don't NEED this weightened blanket. Trust me you don't.

And if you want him to be the big spoon, he'll act like he doesn't mind. But then he'll complain of having a sore arm or something. That bitch 😐.

Armin

Armin is baby. Please I love him so much. Sorry.

Armin prefers cuddling while facing each other. Weather he's holding you or the other way around. He likes having you close and being able to look at you.

Okay, he may have a preference for being held, but you didn't hear that from me.

He also likes talking to you or listening to you. Most of your cuddle sessions end up in discussions about the strangest things. Like you guys are just laying down and 20 minutes later you're asking yourselves 'do you think a tarantula can stay up on one leg?' or some shit like that.

Okay but study sessions with Armin ending in cuddle sessions. Like. Hear me out. You're just 'taking a break' and you're straddling Armin's lap (not like THAT) and he's holding you and you're just talking, your torso pressed against his, feeling each other's heartbeat. Like IMAGINE.

Jean

Honestly he's down to cuddle all. the. time. Like bruv, chill. But it's because he loves you too much, can you blame him? Jean is the biggest simp out there.

He likes to hold you as much as he likes to be held. But there are three cuddle positions that he loves most.

First, holding you close by your middle while your head is against his chest and you're both laying on your sides.

Second, classic big spoon. He holding you from behind by your waist. But it's not his favourite because he's not facing you.

Third (his favourite), he's laying on you, head pressed on your chest to hear your heartbeat or in the crook of your neck to feel your pulse.

Anyways. Jean also likes to cuddle you in public (read on Sasha's couch) to show you off to others (read to Eren).

Sasha

Prepare to a lot of post meal cuddles with Sasha. She's always sleepy after eating a lot. And Sasha does often eat a lot.

When Sasha is tired she giggles a lot. Like imagine you're laying comfortably and she just starts giggling? Like, Sasha, babe, wtf?

She prefers to be held. This had to be said. She likes when you're holding her and she's laying her head next to your heart.

She also cuddles you when she had a nightmare. She will literally sneak into your bed at night trying not to wake you up. But if she does wake you up, she'll just tell you that she had a nightmare, asking you to hold her.

But Sasha moves a lot in her sleep. You'll go to bed laying against each other and wake up with your limbs tangled in each other.

Also, being the menace she is, she will put her cold hands under your shirt with the excuse of them being cold and needing to heat up. She's lucky you love her...

Connie

Okay, I was talking about Sasha being a menace, but this little shit is another level.

He will literally poke you and pinch abruptly for no reason when you're cuddling.

No but honestly, he likes having you laying on top of him and hold you close. He's probably telling you the worst story of all time at the same moment but you both really enjoy the moment.

He likes to maintain eye contact while talking to you so your head is probably propped up on one of your arms.

He appreciates more cuddling in the late afternoon, while the sun goes down to see its rays fade on your face, or some sappy shit like that.

No but cuddling sessions with Connie can be really cool. He's a funny guy and he's very comforting.

And the hand placement!!! Like he has his hands on the small of your back, rubbing it soothingly. You're both having a really good time... And then he pokes you. 😐

Historia

Probably the cuddliest out of all of them.

Can and will cuddle you in any situation. She takes the occasion to cuddle you anytime she can.

'Hisu we can't cuddle while standing.' 'Why not?'

She doesn't care if she's big spoon or little spoon. She just enjoys basking in your presence so much.

She also likes to hug you from behind while you're cooking or doing something else while standing.

What I mean is, don't feel surprised when you feel hands snaking around your waist and see blond strands of hair on your shoulder from the corner of your eye.

She expects a lot of kisses from you while cuddling, I don't make the rules.

She often plays with your hair when you're both laying down or you're laying your head on her lap. She really likes soothing you to sleep with her nails gently scratching your scalp.

Ymir

She'll act like she hates cuddling you but she actually craves your physical affection.

You guys probably cuddle more in the morning when you just woke up. Mostly because Ymir is not awake enough to pretend to be annoyed.

She is big spoon all the way you can't change my mind. She likes to hold you while you're both laying on your sides.

Your face is often tucked under her chin so you can't see her smiling. Or she's holding it in her hands while cupping your cheeks (not THESE cheeks you perv) and gazing into your eyes lovingly.

She kisses you a lot when you cuddle. Most of the time out of nowhere. Like she's pouting and 2 seconds later she's kissing you.

The only times she'll cuddle you in public is if she's jealous to show the person who's been eyeing you up and down for the past minutes that you are hers.

Honestly a switch, but depends on the mood of course.

If he feels safe he'll be little spoon, just melting into the feeling with you wrapped around him.

But if a place doesn't seem very safe or seems sketchy, he'll be big spoon to protect you, with his head in the crook of your neck.

But it's not all about spooning, he loves other positions too!

He loves positions when he's close to you.

When your facing his front, your arms are wrapped around eachother, with your legs tangled between together.

He could be either on top of you, laying his head on your chest, listening to your soothing heartbeat.

Or otherway around! Your like his blanket to him, covering him nice and warm.

When it's even just simply on a couch (laying down), he's on top of you, or you're on top of him.

But when sitting, he's in your lap, sitting on the floor between your legs as you fiddle with his hair, behind you snuggling you close, etc.

He tends to be clingy when cuddling, he doesn't let you go.

"Carl, I love you dearly. But please let me go."

You just hear a simple muffled "No." come from him.

"I need to piss, let me go."

It's just, those conversations. Like the "I love you, but..."

He loves the scent of you, it just makes him comfortable.

That's when he knows you're there.

Whenever he's either behind you or you guys are facing eachother, he usually messes with your hair.

Vyn Richter:

Vyn is very affectionate when he cuddles you, but not completely overkill. He doesn’t shower you with kisses every 2 seconds, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to.

Rather, his style of affection is very subtle. Leaves you wanting more.

He can’t help it, honestly.

The way you look at him expectantly is too cute to pass up. He needs it to refuel.

This includes gently moving the hair, if you have any, out of your face in order to get a better look at your drowsy expression. This also includes back-of-the-hand kisses.

Small forehead kisses. Bonus points if he gently strokes his thumb across your face.

He’s not much of a talker during cuddle sessions. The most he’ll remark is how beautiful you look in his embrace or how good it feels to have you with him.

Prepare to witness him staring at you, constantly.

Not in a creepy way, of course. If you felt weird about it, he’d cease.

He just wears that love-drunk expression far too well. Half-open eyes with a small, admiring smile pulling the look together.

Morning cuddles are his favorite so don’t even think about skipping those unless absolutely necessary.

That half-asleep daze while holding the love of his life is addicting. You try to get up earlier than he plans and he’s pulling you right back in.

“I’m not finished yet. In a few, dear.” He’ll mumble in your neck, gently massaging your scalp to relax you.

Speaking of, Vyn is surprisingly really good at massages. 

He knows how important sleep is, so if you’re ever having trouble with it, he’s always there to provide as much assistance as he can.

Artem Wing:

Oh boy.

Artem may act stoic and unbothered, but he really is rather loving to you.

Unlike Vyn, Artem likes to have conversations and talk while cuddling. He sees it as something that brings you both together and something to make something enjoyable out of.

His favorite position would probably be spooning you, holding you close to his chest with his face hidden in the back of your neck or with his chin on top of your head.

He also really likes holding your hand, so expect your hands to feel really clammy after a while.

“How was your day, Y/n?” He’d wonder, his thumb gently tracing the crevices and bumps of your knuckles while looking down at you with a soft expression. “I hope it was at least decent, with me around.” He’d chuckle, bringing the hand he is holding to his lips.

Likes to have you close to his body during cuddle sessions. Very warm, would very much recommend.

Throughout the day, Artem likes to be touching you in at least some type of way, with the only exception of his work and respecting the professional environment.

Outside, though? Expect at least some type of subtle affection.

This includes but is not limited to placing his hand on your knee while he’s driving or holding your hand on top of the middle console of the car.

Additionally, if you both are in public and talking to someone, he’ll place a hand on the curve of your waist casually. He likes feeling that closeness between the both of you.

This is definitely not the case when you both are sleeping.

Artem will go out of his way to hold your hand while he’s asleep, his other hand wrapped around your body and pulling you close. If you try to let go of his hand, assuming he’s asleep, he will swiftly intertwine them once more with a small chuckle.

“Do you need to go somewhere?” “No, I just figured-“ “Then don’t let go.” He’ll whisper, burying his face back in its’ previous place.

Speaking of, his morning/half asleep voice is absolute euphoria for the ears

It’s slightly deepens, with a slight rasp. It doesn’t help your flustered state how he insists on speaking like this either in your neck or your ear.

He’s a tease, but you love him for it.

Luke Pearce:

Luke loves you a lot. I do think he’d be a cuddle-bug, but not to where he craves it 24/7. Luke is honestly pretty casual about PDA, in my opinion.

However, don’t let that previous statement fool you. He really likes cuddling you whenever you both are alone.

I honestly feel like Luke would be more of a kisser than a cuddler, though.

Whenever you both are about to sleep, this man cannot keep his lips off you. When you’re nuzzled in his neck or him in yours, trust that he’ll find a way to kiss the daylights out of you.

You’d be half asleep and then be jolted awake by Luke’s sudden kisses on your shoulder and neck.

“Luke, I need sleep.” “Sorry… just one more?”

Like Artem, Luke loves holding your hand. During Investigations, this wouldn’t cease unless either of you thought it necessary, either.

Despite not being much of a cuddler during his sleep, he loves holding you during movies and in front of others.

Hugging you from behind with you on his lap is his favorite in this scenario.

He just feels so at ease with you laying back against him, being able to admire you and hold you as close as he wants. He yearns to keep you safe and this is a way he feels accomplished in doing so.

Also will shower you with kisses. Will not hesitate.

All over your shoulders, back, and the back of your neck. Preferably your lips too, if you turn around to surprise him.

If you both cuddle in bed, his favorite position would definitely to be on his side and you on yours, facing eachother with your foreheads against one another’s.

He thinks it’s so intimate and he loves getting to look at your gorgeous face in and out of sleep.

Marius VonHagen:

Surprisingly, not that much of a cuddler.

Whenever you both do, though, he has specific positions he absolutely will fall head over heels for.

That including holding you on his lap. Randomly.

Marius is the type of mf in a relationship to be full of surprises. He doesn’t want to bore you, you know.

He’d just gently move you from your spot on the bed or couch to be on top of his lap, straddling him with the biggest shit-eating smile on his face.

He always does this with movies. You’d be invested, paying attention, then all of a sudden, boom. Straddling time.

“Why are you pouting? Am I not as entertaining as the movie~? Don’t lie to me.”

Marius also likes your head on his chest. A lot.

Just, in general, be on top of him. He loves looking at you and flustering you with his constant insistence on eye contact.

Sleepy Marius is a whole different person, I swear.

Usually he’ll just have his arm underneath your head with his hand in the curve of your waist whenever he’s sleeping

But he likes to keep it cold in his room, so you can’t help but get a little closer to him that you both originally bargained for.

He’s not complaining though. Not at all.

He’ll gently reposition your body so your head is gently against his chest in his half-asleep stupor.

“There you go… Better?” He’ll whisper, kissing your forehead as his fingers run down your shoulderblades.

At the end of the day, he likes being able to come up with ways to fluster you out of the blue, in whatever situation he can.

He loves to lay his head in your lap, especially when you play with his hair.

Cuddling with your head on his chest and hand on his heart, so you can feel the rhythmic pounding that occurs whenever you touch.

He craves attention like a dog and loves having you in his lap or just near whenever you’re together.

He loves kissing with your legs wrapped around his waist in a sitting position. 

His cheeks can’t help but redden when you press a kiss to his forehead - a gentle and soft way of showing your love and adoration.

His hands are metaphorically glued to yours - fingers constantly laced during every activity. And when he’s passionately kissing you, his right hand is firmly intertwined with yours.

When you’re drifting to sleep, you may feel him tracing your outlines on your body with one finger, smoothing creases, soothing tension and sometimes he’ll even mutter to himself.

He will slowly trail kisses along your body during cuddling sessions.

At night while sleeping, you may feel him wriggling beside you, turning and rolling until eventually scooting closer to feel your skin and breathe your scent in. Sometimes you’re awake enough to turn over and scoop him into your arms.

His heart low-key sinks like an anchor to the pit of his stomach when he sees somebody else hugging you. But jealousy diminishes when you gaze at him with unlimited affection and melt back into his arms.

cuddling headcanons with pidge, please~

yes, oh my goodness here we go

Always ends up sleeping all spread out on top of their partner. It doesn’t matter what position they fall asleep in, their s/o always wakes up with Pidge snoring softly on top of them, and they feel blessed, as they should. 

Pidge isn’t strictly a big spoon or a little spoon – it totally depends on what their partner is more comfortable with. They’re okay with being held, but also 100% ready to be the one doing the holding if their datemate needs comfort.

Falls asleep with their head on people’s shoulders a lot, most commonly Shiro and Hunk, but everyone on the team has been a victim at some point. Whenever it happens whoever they fall asleep on just accepts that they have to stay completely still for the next hour or so, because Pidge is a light sleeper and they don’t want to wake them.

They aren’t usually the one to initiate cuddling, but if their s/o pulls them close they’ll gladly snuggle up to them.

Pidge and their partner will have these really deep, intelligent, meaningful conversations while they’re cuddling. Like they’ll be laying in bed with their legs all tangled together, feeding each other junk food and discussing the multiverse theory or something

Really likes cuddling + stargazing, especially if they have a s/o who gets excited about space and stars.

Rin

·       Heis ALWAYS the one to initiate cuddling.

·       Canbe either the big spoon or the little spoon, depending on how he is feeling.

·       When(and only when) he is having a bad day he’ll be the little spoon, because it iscomforting for him and it makes him feel safe.

·       Helikes to lean into his s/o as the little spoon, and maybe close his eyes for alittle bit.

·       Asthe big spoon, Rin is quite affectionate.

·       Helikes to play with his s/o’s hair and rest his chin on top of their head.

·       Mightrest his head on his s/o’s shoulder if he’s in a really cuddly mood.

·       Cuddlingwith him as the big spoon could turn into a tickle fight.

Yukio

·       Isn’treally one to initiate it; only when he knows that his s/o is upset or ratherstressed.
