Cryptid Chuuya au where Dazai's brother 'Sushi wanders of to the woods to play and he goes after him to collect his brother for dinner and he finds himself in darker and darker parts of the forest while calling out for Atsushi and suddenly he hears something move, he quickly wips his head around, only to be looking at a pair of uncanny blue eyes staring at him wide, only half an inch from his face.

22!Dazai would paint his nails fun bright colours that absolutely clash with his ADA outfit, and 22!Chuuya who has an *aesthetic* would paint his nails either black or that reddish brown of the inside of his coat to match his outfit, even if his nails aren't even visible because of his gloves.

And while painting their own nails at 22 they would each think back to those rare few times they got to act like normal teens, painting each others nails while they stayed up late and binged horror movies. Dazai pretending he was scared of the movie so he could dramatically cuddle into Chuuya, and Chuuya letting him knowing full well Dazai wasn't scared of anything.

Scientists Dazai and Chuuya who are academic rivals. Chuuya puts endless hours into his experiments, plans it out in excruciating detail, measures stuff down to the exact mL (or μL depending on the scale), even when it doesn’t matter that much. Dazai however eyeballs it and decides if his cells don’t survive the extra 10 g of salt he adds to their growth media, or the obviously incorrect pH, then fine, they didn't deserve to make it into a published study anyways. 

Dazai’s experiments always work out flawlessly and Chuuya’s always fail.
