Different types of transportation argue about movies:

Bus: It not fair how come you guys get all the ironic movies

Cruise ship: dude what are you talking about. I don't have any ironic movies

Bus: Jason Takes Manhattan literally take place on a cruise!!

Cruise ship: wait what I thought it took place in Manhattan

Bus: oh you think so but no! The majority of the film takes place on a fucking ship.

Cruise ship: oh shit the title is a lie.

Ocean liner: ok bus calm down. I'm sure there one ironic movie with buses in it.

Bus: oh really named one movie

Ocean liner: huhhhh.. Bertie the bus?

Bus: that a fucking Thomas and friends character!

Plane: wait hold on. How come Train has so many movies? I swear they almost have way more movies than me!

Train: ha, I guess I'm just that popular

Car: not in America

Train: shut up, at least my drivers are professors

Car: at least I can go anywhere I want.

Ocean liner: ok everyone calm down! There is no need to fight! Why don't we get back to the topic at hand? I mean sure one of us besides Bus doesn't have that many ironic movies.

Tram: wait you guys are getting ironic movies?

Ocean liner: what- what the heck are you?

Tram: dude I don't know. I'm called by several different names and one of them is cable car.

Got a new piece of alleyway furniture in need of love/repair yesterday afternoon:

It's the base of a hoosier cabinet in a pretty sad state. The sides are delaminating and at least two of the legs are splitting. And you can see the state of the finish.

Not a valuable antique so I feel no guilt in what I'm going to do to it to give it an alternative function.

It's going to turn into a combination plant stand (that enameled top makes it perfect) and cat bed (in the cabinet part. The drawers, which still work well, will be nice storage. Might see if my seed packet collection will fit or I might put cat toys and brushes in it, who knows?

It's not going to be a professional job for sure. I'll probably just sister some additional supports to the insides of all the legs to fix that issue. Then see about getting some thin plywood or Masonite board to fit into the sides. Remove what little finish remains, sand, and paint/stain.

Probably should either put a little lip on the inside of the cabinet part to keep the cat bed from slipping out. Or I could keep the door shut and just remove the left panel entirely to allow feline access. I'm a little concerned that if I make it too private, however, some little kitty (lookin at you, Princess Many Toes) will start using it as a litterbox.

Anyway, it's not a project I'm going to start until I finish the current garden project since I'd like to get that done before we hit 100F again.

I don't understand how people could be weirded out or turned off by hearing someone infodump literally I love hearing about people's interests I love when people are passionate about things it's so cute and often very attractive. Pls pls tell me about your interests and the things you are insane about when we're talking I want to know!! And if the thing you are insane about happens to be something objectively unimportant like star trek lore or how tom cruise is a weird freak then so be it I still want to know!!

Cruise ship: partying and Romanic baby!! Woah!!

Ocean liner: Ms. Titanic, ah so young and sink too soon. forever remembered by the history books. Also that James Cameron's movie with her in it sucks. It completely inaccurate

Tram: people think I only existed in San Francisco. I'm literally in other cities what the hell.

Car: Cross-country trips and of course racing. Hell yay!!

Bus:... A magic school bus of all things..

Plane: disappearing

Train: what-

Plane: never been heard or seen again. The storm took me and the passenger into the darkness of the void

Train: plane what the hell are you talking about

Navy ship: same mate. The Bermuda Triangle sucks. Isn't that the right yacht?

Yacht:...I can still see the darkness..

Train: what's the heck is the Bermuda Triangle?

Cruise ship: oh yeah bro. It is a cursed part of the ocean that makes us ships disappear and sometimes planes too

Train: what why?!?

Cruise ship: Bro I don't know.

Ocean Liner: you guys know that is just a myth right? There is no such thing as the Bermuda Triangle. It is just a thing that humans made up. I mean, after all, was when the last time one of us disappeared there?

Navy ship: 2015 I think?

Ocean liner: and it 2024. If that part of the ocean is so cursed then how come disappearances have suddenly come to a stop?

Cruise ship: maybe the curse is over man

Ocean Liner: Cruise you have been to that part of that ocean before. You know It is not a curse, you never disappeared once.

Cruise ship: oh yeah that is weird

Navy ship: they be immune!

Ocean liner: no, no Cruise isn't immune. Trust me I saw them struggle during a storm, just admit it there's no such thing as a cursed part of the ocean.

Train: real or not. I'm suddenly ten times more afraid of the ocean than before. You know what I'm going to cancel my trip with Ferry now

Car: ha Same.

took my white ass downtown to buy a notebook for my morphology class not realizing it’s a national holiday so I checked 3 different stores and they were all closed after which I got mad as hell and hungry so i worked up the courage to call my favorite takeout window and was told they were open so i hopped on a trolley and got myself a huge cheeseburger and a fanta and ate it in the park while watching the birds and now I’m back home again sweaty as shit and without a notebook but really happy and proud of myself

like the titantic sunk 700km off the coast. the submarine left port in the city I live in. my bus drove past the docks the same day they set off. I always look out the window to see what ships are docked- I probably saw the boat they were with. one of my highschool friends knows someone who worked on it. to clarify how crazy I feel.
