January sees the debut of another EC Comics five-issue miniseries that will follow the science fiction anthology Cruel Universe.

Cruel Kingdom will contain dark fantasy stories by Cullen Bunn, Al Ewing, Justin Jordan, Leomacs, Chris Condon, Dennis Culver and more, as they conjure “tales of magic, myth and murder from forbidden realms long before our own.” Adam Pollina did the cover.

EC Comics to Launch Two New Comic Series!

This was announced recently: EC Comics under their co-publisher Oni Press, is to begin producing two brand-new titles over the upcoming year. The first title, Shiver SuspenStories, is to be an anthology-style series of special editions. The content genres in Shiver SuspenStories will range from horror to science-fiction, and even war stories. Shiver SuspenStories issue 1 will be out in December, just in time for Christmas 2024.

Shown below is the tentative main cover to Shiver SuspenStories issue 1, illustrated by artist Darick Robertson.

The other new comicbook series that EC plans to begin, under their co-publisher Oni Press, is a sword-and-sorcery genre comic titled Cruel Kingdom! The cover artist for issue 1 of Cruel Kingdom (tentative cover shown below) is to be Adam Pollina.

Crypt of MADness, will of course, be covering these two new EC Comics titles, as more info comes along.

Oni Press's EC Comics Line Presents "Cruel Kingdom"

Oni Press's EC Comics line grows with Cruel Kingdom, a four issue dark-fantasy anthology. Cruel Kingdom #1 will be written by Al Ewing, Chris Condon, and Greg Pak and illustrated by artists Kano, Leomacs, and Charlie Adlard.

Cruel Kingdom #1 (of 4) goes on sale on January 8, 2025. The issue sports various covers by Adam Pollina, Liam Sharp, Jay Stephens, Rian Hughes, and Tom Fowler and Nick Filardi as well as a black sketch cover.

i designed a sheikah outfit for josha like purah and robbie. they gifted it to her, but josha added the depths elements later because no one tells the president what to do.

i wanted to keep it in line with the modern sheikah's sense of style, with some allusions to their past ninja antics, hence the bandages and assassin's creed hood. all the better to slip out of lookout landing undetected. strict parents make sneaky kids, purah!

Am I crazy or is enemies to lovers only good when they're just enemies in canon and lovers in fanon?

It just feels like people writing enemies to lovers in canon don't actually know how to write the enemies part, and it's clear from the start that their characters are going to end up together. They never allow their characters to actually do evil things to each other because they fear the readers won't be able to forgive.

I don't want mild annoyance and teasing and secret crushes. I want full on hatred and attempted murders, is that too much?
