What is a cutlet? FFD innovated cutlet made by diabetic suit ingredients such as Sweet potato, masoor dal, various vegetables like cauliflower, green peas, french beans, carrot, etc. Low GI Sweet potato is safe for diabetics if had in moderation. Their high fiber content greatly helps in digestion and slowing down the rise of blood sugar levels.
Ingredients: Soaked masoor dal – 1 cup, Steamed and mashed sweet potato – ½ cup Finely chopped mixed vegetables – 1-1/2 cup (cauliflower, green peas, French beans, grated carrot), Finely chopped onion – 1 cup Ginger- garlic paste – 1 tbsp, Kanda lasoon masala, Ginger, Green chilli, Jeera, Salt.
Method:
Steam the all the vegetables and Cool them.
Grind the masoor dal with jeera, ginger, and green chilies.
Sauté chopped onion, ginger- garlic paste.
Add masala.
Put the steamed veggies, masoor dal paste, and mashed sweet potato.
Add salt and mix everything together.
Give the desired shape of cutlets and shallow fry in the pan.
This veg cutlet is very good for diabetics as it has all the goodness of sweet potatoes, several vegetables and most importantly it has masoor dal in it which gives it more points on the diet table. Ingredients needed step by step instructions :
- coconut = 1cup - coconut paste = 1 cup - potato mashed = 2 medium potato - cumin seed = 3/4 tbsp - Coriander seed = 2/3 tbsp - dry chilli = 1/2 pieces - bay leaf = 1/2 - Cumin powder= 1/2 tbsp - coriander powder= 1/2 tbsp - chat masala = 1/2 tbsp - Garam masala = 1/2 tbsp - sugar = 1 tbsp - Mustard oil = 2 tsp - salt = to taste - corn flour= 1tsp - bread crumbs= 2/5 tbsp - refined oil = for frying
Preparation and process :
- First, chopped some coconut and make some coconut paste. - This time potatoes should be boiled and mashed. - Now heat the pan and when it is hot, fry the cumin, coriander, dry chili, bay leaf well and make a paste. - Then heat the pan and add 2 tsp of mustard oil, when the oil is hot add some cumin seed and fry a little, then add the chopped coconut fry little. - Now add salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, chaat masala, garam masala and coconut paste and fry well. - Finally add roasted spices and sugar. - Fry well so that the mixture becomes thick. Then pour it into a container. - Now take water in a bowl and mix corn flour in it. - When it cools down in the mixture, take little by hand and put it into round or flat shapes. - Now one by one, dip the balls of corn flour in water and apply bread crumbs on them. - This time, heat the oil and fry the chops one by one and leave them in the oil. Fry them red or otherwise chop will not cooked properly. - Once fried, drain the oil and pour it into a bowl. - Now your dish is ready .

it’s FRIDAY!!!!!!!! it’s the WEEKEND!!!!!!!! i don’t have to WORK tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
after work, i went over to my parents’ house because they were watching my niece and nephew, and my niece was soooooooo excited to see me, and we read a superhero book that i bought for her. i wasn’t sure if she would like it, but she wanted to read it twice, and she decided that her favorite superhero was squirrel girl which was so unexpected and adorable lol
i talked to my @kangofu-cb​ on the phone for the first time in forever 😭😭 and we got all caught up and COOKED together even though she very clearly did not approve of the food i was making sdlfkjslfsd but it was nice to start my weekend by hearing the voice of someone i love 💚
also LOOK WHAT I COOKED Y’ALL skdfsfd i never cook like this, it’s very weird!!! it’s some fake chicken with some fake gravy and a warm potato salad with mustard and parsley and some roasted broccoli. meat and two veg????? what am i, a housewife????? i never make this kind of food, but i’m very excited that i tried it. i was skeptical about if i would like it, but i think it all tasted really good, and also i think i need to start looking into more plant-based meats because i think it would simplify cooking for me if i could just...cook a protein and then cook something next to it, instead of constantly having to reinvent a whole ass dish every time i want to eat dinner.
now i am going to WATCH so many THINGS!!! i have so many shows recorded!!!!!!!!!!!
