okay some predictions:
I think Silvo/Jod/Jack has some cybernetic implants that allow him to move things with his mind. KB was able to "sense" the guard droid coming around the corner the same as Jod (she even said "hold" just like he did) and I think the implication is clear. He tried to blow it off like "maybe KB has the Force too" but I think he's lying
Alternately, but less likely imo, he could just genuinely be a pirate who was Force sensitive. That would be cool (I love when non-Jedi are Force sensitive and use Force abilities for their jobs) but given the mystery around him I think it's more likely we're in for a twist than just "yes he can genuinely just use the Force"
I think the treasure of At Attin is SM-33. There's something in his memory banks, some map to somewhere, or some other knowledge that's super valuable. He has droid amnesia which makes me think him getting his memories back will be super important. He doesn't remember At Attin because his memory was deliberately wiped to keep his knowledge from falling into the wrong hands. He "died" trying to pull the lever to seal the ship's hatch so no one could get out (I think he also stabbed the crew member Jod gets his knife out of. Actually, he probably killed all the crew members)

Modern Jod wouldn’t be adopting the kids lmao, he’s the camp counselor for their vaguely bullshit camp that burns down on day 2 and he has to take them On A Journey to walk them out of these fucked up woods and bring them back to their parents who realize way too late that the camp is no longer standing. They narrowly miss search parties constantly but also keep running into dealers that Jod owes money to, maybe a little bit possible that they were the ones that burned down the camp but also we can’t know for sure, probably not. SM-33 is the weird ass mimic that wandered out of the forest to join them and they keep forgetting he’s not supposed to be there. He likes pretending they’re all pirates and talking like an old man.

So today on the Andor server as we discussed the latest episode of Skeleton Crew, we figured these two had to have had history, you know. And that Jod must have "backstabbed" her a couple times first.
Someone just had to speak the plain old truth:

And I don't have time for fic, but I did have the time and inspiration to draw that very first post nut clarity lmao. Lines below the cut

how i feel knowing that there's only 1 episode left, we still don't know anything about jod's backstory and he's definitely not getting a redemption after what we've just watched

Quick thought about Silvo vs Brutus as Captains
I’m rewatching the last two episodes of Skeleton Crew (for reasons 👀) and realized exactly how right Jod was when he “insulted” Brutus in episode 6 by saying “he’s a capable first mate.” The insinuation being that he’s only suited for the position of a first mate, but he makes a terrible captain.
And he’s honestly right. Brutus, while brutal in pirate levels of vengeance, and having an absolute right to distrust anything that comes out of Jod’s mouth, seems to be on the cynical/cautious/reserved side. He never does anything himself, he’s always ordering everyone else to do things for him. He has a distinct lack of imagination in how he treats the kids when pursuing them, how he treats his crew, and how he handles the obstacles they encounter when arriving at At Attin. He’s always ready to give up, take the path of least resistance, and push Jod out the airlock without actually checking to see if he might be correct.
Jod, both as himself and as Captain Silvo, is the one who sees a bigger picture, who pushes through difficulty no matter what comes his way (even though it’s out of sheer obstinate survival), and who while he may not trust people, is willing to meet them where they’re at if he can find a way to build a common bridge (until he’s ready to burn it, of course). He displays both manipulative and visionary leadership qualities that make people want to help him, want to follow him, even if it’s just to see the size of the explosion he’ll leave in his wake.
Brutus does make a very capable first mate. His job would be to take a step back, find the flaws in his captain’s plans, find practical ways to implement the vision, point out the dangers and be a voice of reason amongst the chaos. That is what he’s good at. And the crew agrees.
Jod wasn’t really insulting him. He was right. And they probably made a great team—until those bridges were burned, irreparably. But what’s a pirate crew without the threat of backstabbing always simmering underneath the surface?
