Okay-ish indeed. Tiny and the souls are a bit on the edge, but with time and Kafka proving who he really as a person things gets better overall.

And you got no idea how Reno feels about just how deep this go. Its shocking enough your senior in the job is a kajiu hybrid. Learning he is also childhood friends with some of the most important people in the Third is another new spin in the shock. Much less they've know for years about Kafka's family secret.

Kikoru is no better when she finds out either. Might actually take it worse in some aspects even.

Oh, the three have gotten Kafka to dress up as a lizard a few times. Mostly on halloween. They even managed to get him into a dinosaur costume that with a simple rope and Okonogi dressing up as a palaeontologists won them second place in a event once. Kafka was very good at playing the role of a dino.

And well, being lizard brained at times is sometimes good, at least if you want a laugh. Once when Kafka was sunbathing, Soshiro found out while cleaning his swords that Kafka acts like a cat chasing a laser point when one of his swords got a bit of sunlight on it and made a light spot. Which Kakfa was quick to notice.

It was very hard for the swordman to not laugh his ass off as Kafka chased the little light all over. Making all kinds of sounds that Okonogi managed to record.

Speaking of which, the scientists are having a field day when Okonogi gives them some of the stuff she has noted and recorded. Thanks to that Kafka gets a small break from the crasyness that scientists are when they finally get a new toy to play with.

Also, that fucked up sea cucumber comes in handy with deterring the more dareing lot of scientists. As well as make Gen understand that when Mina, Soshiro or Okonogi says "Don't open that door!" or "We're saving your sanity.", fucking listen. The captain of the First was not able to sleep well for a week straight after seeing how Kafka has to clean his innards like once or twice a year. And had most of nightmares in store afterwards.

Kafka is just greatful the kids at least don't try this stunt at all. They seems to understand that whatever happens when Kafka close and lock the door, it means its best to leave him be unless they want to open pandora's box. So to say.

Kikoru would take it a bit worse since three important individuals in the Defense Force know about this. Especially considering she finds out after No. 9's attack, reveres Mina the most and Kafka seems to be some random geezer. She doesn't get to know part of his personality as he ain't taking the exams here.

Okonogi's research so far definitely gave our himbo some extra free time. Narumi is probably gonna take the Third Division's warnings more seriously after that horrific sight. Why do I have a feeling the Rookies are gonna dare each other to check in on Kafka or see what the hell he's doing behind closed doors?

Mina is gonna put him in a cat costume once she hears about the light chasing mishap. Especially if she finds out he can purr. Soshiro no doubt buys a laser pointer just to tease Kafka on some days.
