enha is desperate horny losers 🔛🔝
i know you probably didn't ask for this but idc
hyung line being desperate and horny
warnings: one mention of piss, virginity loss, mdni
Tumblr media
★ heeseung:
sure, he can be desperate. an utter mess, really. eyes empty, cock so fucking hard just looking at you anytime you're around him. as if you don't know he wants you, him knowing you fucking do.
you tease him so aggressively and it pisses him off knowing he can't have you. he's not allowed, or some shit. fuck bro code. he could give less of a fuck that you belong to sunghoon right now, by next week it'll probably be some loser like jake or something.
never him though, for some reason.
he's so tired of going home all alone, fucking his fist right up against his apartment door because he can't manage to make it to his own bedroom before needing the touch. so desperate for you. so goddamn horny out of his mind that he genuinely thinks he might just fucking kill himself if you don't spread your legs for him for real within the next three minutes.
always trying to lure you, always always always wanting you to break before he does. after all, anyone can see you want him too. you just like to play games and he's sick of it. perhaps he's willing to lose this time, if just to get your legs spread around him.
it wouldn't really be a surprise to you by the time you make your way to his place yet again, in that same outfit that you know drives him up a wall. you know you're walking into a lion's den when you step inside. he's already hard, staring at you with narrowed eyes.
"you know exactly what you're doing walking through my door dressed like that." he'd comment. "you think i won't do it, don't you?"
you'd laugh. you'd brush him off. you'd ignore every passing comment thinking you can still tease him, thinking you can still walk away like you're doing nothing to him at all.
it's not a game to him at this point though, because he made himself very clear throughout the day with little comments. little aggressive touches. little degrading remarks. and by the time you think you're safe to leave? oh, no no.
"where do you think you're going?" you'd hear him rush up behind you. "i told you."
he did tell you, and you still stayed.
"Sunghoon's going to kick your ass for acting like this, you know."
"Still trying to make fucking jokes?" He'd rumble the words in a tight voice, slipping his hand straight between your legs from behind and feeling the mess you hide from him time and time again.
"You always this soaked for me or did you just piss yourself in my kitchen?"
"Sunghoon-"
"Fuck Sunghoon." He'd say as if it's the last words you'll ever hear. "This-" he grabs your cunt, his fingers pressing your panties into your hole. "is for me, isn't it?"
☆ jay:
it's not even embarrassing anymore. with the way you know jay wants you and you still pretend like he doesn't. like this friendship is normal and not at all filled with an immense amount of sexual tension.
like you didn't makeout with him at jake's party last weekend, whispering drunken words over what you'd let him do to you.
honestly, it wasn't anything more than a simple friendship before that happened. he isn't sure whether to curse the strong drink or thank it.
you've acted like it never happened since that night but he, oh, he can't stop fucking thinking about those filthy words you whispered up against his ear. "come on, jay, all those study sessions? i keep my legs spread just enough for you to slip your fingers down-" and "could take me to the bathroom right now and do whatever you want."
he's pissed that he didn't do it. then again, you were drunk and so was he. he probably wouldn't have been able to make his way to the bathroom that night without crashing his head through a wall, in all honesty.
oh, but now. as he sits during another study session with you plus two other people who could give less of a shit. you were right in saying you always keep your legs spread for him. he never noticed it too often before, but considering he can feel your thigh pressing against him? maybe you really do want him to slip his hand down. maybe you really do want his fingers.
goddamn.
he hasn't gotten his dick wet in months.
still, you act like what you said at that party never happened at any other time. still, you sit like you hope he remembers it. and, well, he's desperate enough at this point to at least try. right there in front of the group.
his hand slips to your thigh, and his brain is no longer focused on formulas. instead, he's entirely in his head about the little shocked jolt your body does in response. he almost pulls his hand back but he can fucking feel your skin prickle under his palm. it's enough to keep his hand there, petting up, up, up.
his hands are shaking when he looks at you, cock twitching and weak in his pants just like his brain every time you make eye contact with him. you spread your legs a little more as he looks at you, urging him to keep going. unfortunately, the poor guy looks like he's holding back due to the, uh, situation regarding the two other friends in the room.
you're quick to jump up on your feet. fucking finally he's picked up the hints.
"i'm going to the bathroom." you say as you lay a hand on his shoulder, only directing the words towards him at first before looking up to your unsuspecting study group.
jay isn't going crazy right? that's an invitation, right?
and, well, he doesn't fucking care at this point to make himself look a fool. he stands up before you even close the bathroom door and dead-pans at the poor souls about to hear him lose his goddamn mind on you.
"I'm gonna, uh, you know-" he starts, pointing his thumb to the bathroom and watching the curious onlookers swap their faces to something that is...knowing.
"yeah." he admits now, standing with a proud hard-on and rushing his way straight the bathroom and opening the door.
There you are, already up on the counter with your pants fucking gone. He's so fast to slot himself between your legs, not thinking twice before attaching his lips to you in a desperate attempt to quiet his thoughts.
"took you long enough," you'd chuckle into his lips, feeling his desperate hands fucking tear your panties off of you before sliding in without so much as a moment of foreplay.
you both were anticipating this though. and god, did the wait make it feel so much better.
★sunghoon:
sunghoon will never defeat the allegations of being "too polite". which fucking sucks because no girl will come for him unless they're looking to get married within the next six months.
god, it's such a fucking issue. his scene isn't exactly to go out and hunt for girls to fuck but at this point he might just have to. fuck all those people who talk so highly of him. (literally, if he could at this point.)
"oh! sunghoon is such a good guy! he'd be the perfect boyfriend!"
"don't even waste your time trying to sleep with sunghoon, he's too serious to play around like that."
"he's too nice to fuck you the way you want, really, go for someone like heeseung."
because of all that praise towards him, he hasn't gotten laid in close to a year. no party he's attended has yielded results, no study sessions with pretty girls even when he tries to make a move, no pussy is willing to spread for a man who seemingly would treat it right.
fucking rude.
"jay, please."
the roommate rolls his eyes, grimacing at the very idea.
"why her?" jay shoots back, holding his phone so tightly, all while sunghoon grips his wrist as if he's gonna rip it clean off his body.
he needs that fucking phone.
"you said she was a real slut, i need this. please. I won't even clean her up after."
jay can see the desperation in his eyes, though he didn't entirely need to considering his roommate has been parading around with a desperate boner for the better part of six months.
"she's my ex girlfriend." jay scolds, ripping himself from sunghoon's grasp.
"exactly!" he shouts back, trying to plead his case. "she had like, what? six dicks not including yours when she was with you? why can't I just-"
"what makes you think i'd help you now after saying that?" jay rolls his eyes again, but he knows well enough how it feels to have heavy balls and no girl to empty them into. "anyone but her."
sunghoon's eyes light up when he looks at his friend, and it's not even a full ten minutes later before he's got a list of potential fucks recommended by jay himself. sunghoong does have to ignore the hateful looks after the fact, but decides he'll just apologize later for...you know, trying to go for jay's ex.
why he didn't do this sooner though? well, he really thought he'd be able to get some girls to come to bed with him on his own by now, unfortunately, he's grown far too pathetic to keep trying on his own.
jay's truly a great friend. just yesterday sunghoon was jerking off a solid eight times just to satiate the need and now he's got four of the six girls texting him back.
god, he was so gross about it too. barely even introduced himself, just sent a selfie and a small line of "been looking for a pretty girl to hang out with, jay say you might be interested."
going from 0 choices to 4 choices felt insane, honestly. sunghoon nearly cums in his pants at getting a "yes" from the prettiest one. and it only took an hour for him to hear jay greet you awkwardly. like he didn't have his dick in you just last week.
and goddamn is it great for him. he barely lets you into his room before his hands are just fucking....going. straight up your shirt, his lips go straight to your neck, cock immediately on your thigh and pulsing.
you're not too upset about it, really. you both knew what this was gonna be, and there was a reason you didn't wear panties. then again, who would? you saw his selfie, that alone was enough to get you to meet him pretty much anywhere.
and that desperation in him really showed. it bubbled up in the form of frantic, hard, fast thrusts. he chased and chased the pleasure, not at all giving you much love through it. not that you needed it, the guy gives good dick. It's all you can really ask for during a hookup.
and he keeps going, and going. so much cum to give, so much stamina. to the point that after the second session of sex, he starts to feel more like himself.
the sex gets better, less frantic, and he's more careful about how he's already made you sore. his hands are softer, he starts talking, he starts playing with you, appreciating you for letting him use you previously.
and by the next morning, not getting a single second of sleep, you're shocked when he asks for your number. you're even more shocked when he texts you later that day with more appreciation, asking to go to fucking lunch.
and that's when sunghoon realizes all those nice rumors about him are fucking true. because why the fuck does he want to make you his girlfriend without so much as learning your favorite color?
☆ jake:
jake loves you. he loves you so, so much. your virginity was never an issue, truly it wasn't.
emphasis on wasn't.
when he asked you to be his some two years ago, it wasn't an issue. a year into the relationship, it got a little difficult but he communicated that to you well enough. to the point that you were more than happy to compromise and offer a little bit of something to him. you got plenty out of it too, of course.
so, for a year now he's been surviving off of dry humping. that's it. just...grinding, humping, and messy jeans. time and time again, he knows it's all he's gonna get but fucking hell you're so...
god, you make him so horny. and perhaps you being just out of reach sexually only amplifies that but he can't help it at this point. sure, he cums every time you guys start grinding and kissing but more often than not you'll find him secretly in your bathroom shortly after with wet palms trying to stimulate himself in a way that he really needs.
in a way where he isn't rubbed raw and in pain the next morning.
he doesn't want to push. he won't push you. after all, you said you'd tell him when you're ready.
at this point, as he sits in his room sliding his palm up and down his sore length, he's unsure if you'll ever be ready and he's faced with the fact that he isn't sure if he can spend his life with someone who would never want him to-
his eyes roll back at the thought of all the things he'd like to do with you. for you. fuck, you'd look so pretty getting off. and it's the fact that even as he lays here thinking of you like this, he can't imagine what your tits would look like because he hasn't fucking seen them. he can't imagine what your pussy would feel like because he's only ever felt it over a thick layer of pants.
have you ever even gotten wet? if you had, he's sure you would've wanted it by now.
and so, he cums like that. very very upset. a very bad orgasm. one that didn't satisfy him in the slightest and one that definitely won't help him last through this fucking sleepover he has with you tonight.
he's unfortunately right about it too. because not even an hour passes before his cock is leaking against his pants and he's having to keep from moaning just from a simple shift of his leg as he walks around your apartment.
you note his difficulty in being around you today, and you're very aware of his hard on.
"jake, do you want me to sit on y-"
he groans before you can even finish asking. the sound is more frustrated than he's ever sounded towards you and it kinda...makes you feel bad. mostly because it's not like you don't think about it. you very much want to experience your first time with him. unfortunately, you've kind of had it hammered into your head that sex=bad. so, you've been a little afraid of it. though, after all the dry humping and stuff, orgasms aren't....so bad.
they're great, actually.
"no." jake answers you shortly, avoiding eye contact with you probably to keep his own sanity as he flops down on your couch. "i just need to cool down."
you walk over to him, unaware of how literally anything you do makes him want to push you to the floor and just fucking........take it.
"jake, you know you can ask. just let me sit on it." you offer, trying to straddle his lap for another session of not-enough.
"no, no." he pushes you away from him, moaning at the small pressure you did manage to press against him. "i think i just need, like, more than that right now. i'm gonna go to the bathroom."
and he does. he doesn't even kiss you before he stands up and makes his way in there. his tone sounds so focused on something that isn't you that it actually kind of hurts.
and this whole time you know he masturbates but you're never aware that he does it when you're here. he blatantly admitted to needing to go do it himself instead of letting you??? what the fuck??
and it kinda clicks in your head that like.....why is it that the fear of all that sex suddenly disappears when you think about the jake is probably going fucking insane right now? he's possibly losing interest in you, even. oh my god, what if he's going to go find someone else that'll ....
you rush to the bathroom, finding the door locked. you press your ear against it, feeling a pang of jealousy over nothing more than his own hand.
you hear the slapping of it, his palm hitting the base at a frantic and desperate pace.
you knock once. "jake?"
you hear him moan, the slapping only intensifying.
"jake, open the door. please?"
and he doesnt. he finishes before he even considers looking at you again, more for your own safety at that point rather than his own sanity. after all, had you of walked in and looked at him in the midst of a lust-stupor...well...
anyway, he opens the door and looks at you out of breath. instantly that softness is back in his eyes and you're already aware that it's time for a fucking talk. a make it or break it talk.
and hours pass as you talk. you explain, he explains, and you come to realize that jake truly is a person willing to do just about anything for you. he'd suffer for you, he'd lock himself in the bathroom just to cum so he doesn't have to ask you over and over again, just so he doesn't have to beg you or guilt you.
that's all it took really, to want to give him everything he needs too. two years of close to nothing and you never once realized how badly he needed it until now?
and the fear isn't there when it's with him. you see him struggle with his control when he finally sees your naked skin for the first time. you know he wants to go fucking insane on you but he knows he can't.
and he doesn't. he shows you that all those fears were useless. nothing hurts. his fingers are soft on you, in you. his tongue is warm and loving when he uses it all over you. and even when he slides into you for the first time, he contains himself. shushing you, letting you adjust, and then not needing to lose his mind because you do it for him.
working him about as quickly as he would have for you, never once did you realize how much you needed to feel full while enveloped in his arms. he just let you too, sliding back and forth, wiggling around on his cock with no rhyme or reason to how you move.
it feels so fucking good for him. to see you, feel you, watch you, fuck you. god, if he knew just this morning that this is what he was missing?? on god he would have had to tie himself up to just keep you safe from the lust that would've poured from his soul.
thankfully, he doesn't need to be tied down now. not with your legs practically doing it already, moaning for him, asking him for more.
he loves the words he truly thought he'd never be able to hear you say. honestly, all he can do is let you go insane, as if you've been the one needing this for the past two years. after all, now that it's happening, he's sure he'll have you like this again if the way you move your body on him is anything to go by.

I Love You, Ellie (Ellie Williams x Reader) (Angst)
Author´s Note: Another Ellie one shot! The other one did really well, like woah. I've never had a post done that well, thank you! I was inspired by @s-4pphics ´s story, read it here! They aren't really that similar, but I want to give them credit when they were the reason I came up with this idea. This is a long one, so get yourself ready and enjoy!
Short Summary: You have to go on a patrol for a few days. But your girlfriend Ellie isn't too pleased to hear that. You tell her everything will be fine, but she's still not sure. She just doesn't want anything bad to happen to you.
⚠️Warning!⚠️: This story includes pretty explicit gore. Decide for yourself if you can take it.
Words: 4428
Tumblr media
I can’t believe it. You let your right hands trace her left cheek. I can’t believe the gorgeous woman in front of me is mine. Your eyes roamed over her perfect face, counting the freckles that decorated her face. Her long lashes you’ve always been so jealous of. The cut in her eyebrow, giving her a more ”tough look”, but you knew the truth. When you have her wrapped in your arms, cheek pressed against your chest, she’s anything but tough. I’ll miss you. Ellie hated the fact that you’ve made her such a softy. Yet she can’t help but melt down in a puddle whenever you touched her. If you were to tell her to go to the other side of the ocean and pick you a flower she would be back the next morning. Even thought it bothered her she couldn’t seem to care when you called her name. You leaned in closer, listening for the typical small snores she would do when she’s in deep sleep. ”Boo!” Ellie yelled, making you jump. Ellie burst out in laugher. ”Dick” you mumbled as you slapped her arm. ”You should have seen your fucking face!” Ellie said with a cheeky smirk as she pulled you closer. ”Yeah, yeah” you rolled your eyes as you let her. Ellie brushed away a few strands of hair from your face ”Have I ever told you you are very beautiful?”. You chuckled while looking into her eyes. ”I´m glad I got you before that cocksucker could make a move. He didn't have a fucking chance anyway” Ellie said with a pissed-off tone. You smiled at her, ”He just asked me where the toilets were. Plus, I wasn't even interested in him. I wanted you” you said before giving Ellie’s lonely lips some company. She smiled into the kiss, with such a cocky smile you wouldn’t want to see it.
You pulled back, placing your fingers over her mouth to stop her ”But you should really watch your language, young lady. Or you won’t get any christmas presents”. Ellie grabbed your hand and pulled it away from her mouth before saying, with a husky tone ”That train has already left. I´m naughty, and I will show you just how naughty I am”. Ellie crashed her lips on your once again, but this time with much more lust. You couldn’t help but let out a moan at the sudden dominance. At only 8 in the morning! She hovered you as the kiss quickly went over into an intense makeout-session. Ellie let her hands roam free, grabbing the fat of you’re body. You pushed her hips into your, feeling desperate to feel her in such a lack of clothes. A knock on the door made you both jump. You broke from the kiss and looked at the hallway. Ellie moved her gaze back at you ”You’re waiting for someone?”. ”Uh… yeah” you said while nervously bitting the inside of your cheek. Should I tell her now? Another knock snapped you out of your thoughts. Ellie rolled off of you so you could answer the door. With heavy steps you felt the room, feet still filled with sleep. You couldn’t help but shiver as they met the cold steps you’re forced to take down the stairs. Another knock, heavier then the others was made before you grabbed the handle ”Yeah, yeah” you mumbled tiredly. You unlocked the door and pushed down the handle to open it.
A cold wind woke you up. ”Hey! Are you ready to-” Dina stopped herself from finishing her sentence when she looked down at the oversized t-shirt you use to sleep in. ”I think you need a little more clothes then that. Perhaps a sweater” Dina sarcastically suggested. You rolled your eyes ”Fuck you. I slept in late”. Dina gave a teasing smirk, ”Have you told Ellie?”. You looked down at the chipped off nail polish on your toenails ”Not yet” you mumbled, feeling mean for not telling her until last minute. A sigh left Dina’s mouth. ”Okay. You do that. And put some clothes on, it’s pretty chilly” she informed. You nod you head while still looking at the floor. As you was about to close the door Dina grabbed your wrist, making you look up at her. ”You got this” Dina said followed with a warm smile. You forced a smile back while nodding you head once again. She lets go of your hands and walks down your porch, but turned around ”Jesse and I are at the stable. Get there when you’re done!”. ”Okay” you answered with a small voice, just enough for her to hear. You closed the door again, not bothering to lock it since you will be walking out of it in a few minutes. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath, preparing yourself to deliver some news to Ellie you knew she wouldn’t like. Your feet somehow felt heavier on their way upstairs then down, despite your much more awoke state. You walked into you and Ellie’s shared bedroom without thinking to much, not wanting to risk getting stuck in the hallway. Too afraid to met her lovely pale green eyes.
”I don´t mean to sneak, but what is it you have to tell me?”. You widen your eyes. Somehow you didn’t think Ellie would notice Dina saying that even though her fucking name was in the sentence. You fumbled with your fingers, not thinking you would have to tell her this hectically. You haven’t even prepared your speech! But after a little while you let out a deep breath and sat down on her side of the bed, grabbing her hands ”I-I will be leaving for patrol… for a few days”. Ellie raised her eyebrow. ”How long?” she asked with a neutral tone. ”Five days” you answered after a little doubting. This is going better then I thought. ”Fuck” Ellie mumbled as she looked to the side. ”B-but I’ll be back soon. You won’t noti-” ”Where’s Maria” Ellie cut you off. You looked at her with confusion all over your face ”What?”. Ellie threw the covers off to the side and jumped out of bed ”I need to talk to her. Telling her someone else needs to take your place” Ellie said with a neutral tone. I spoke too soon. You widened your eyes, shooting your head towards the closet where she’s currently standing ”What? No, no, no”. You quickly ran over to her, grabbing her clothes to stop her from getting dressed ”You can’t do that! Ellie?”. She wouldn’t even look at you, just picking a new pair of pants since you took her previous ones. ”Yes I can. And I will” she said with a stern tone. ”No, Dina and Jesse is waiting on me!”. Ellie effortlessly puts a shirt on since both your hands where occupied by the rest of her closet. ”They’ll find someone else!”. ”I won´t let you go on another patrol after what happened last time” Ellie mumbled, irritated by Maria´s stupid choice to pick you despite what she told her after your last incident. ”It was one time, Ellie” you whined, not feeling like having this argument with your girlfriend… again. ”Noting happened. Just a few scratches” you watched as Ellie kept dressing herself. ”Ellie?” you asked softly. Nothing. ”Ellie!” you snapped, finally getting her attention. ”I will do it no matter what you say” you said with a steady tone, making sure she understood you’re serious. Ellie looked at you for a while, twisting her face before she gave up and walked off to the side. You turned to the closet and dumped the pile in your arms before you started to dress yourself.
As you zipped up your jacket you looked over your shoulder. Ellie was sitting on the bed, leg to her chest as she looked at the window. Even from where you were standing you could see her glossy cheeks. You bite down on your lip, trying to stop yourself from crying. You hate to see her cry, especially when you’re the cause of it. After grabbing your already prepped backpack you slowly made your way to the bed. You dropped it by the bed as you sat down on your previous position, scooting yourself a little closer to Ellie. ”Ellie” you said with a petty-full tone as you placed your hand on her knee. She still looked out at the depressed weather, matching her emotions perfectly. It’s like higher powers knew how she was feeling. ”I don´t want you to be sad” you admitted, feeling worse and worse by your girlfriend´s current state. ”But I need to do this, Ellie” ”Why? I can talk to Maria and she can fix a job for you at the stable or something”. You closed your eyes, really trying your best not to lash out on your crying girlfriend that you’re about to leave for five days. That would really be the cherry on the top. If you’re pissed at each other and can’t talk it out until you’re back. ”But that’s not where they need people” you said calmly. Ellie mumbled a quiet ”I know”. You grabbed her face, forcing her to face you. Seeing her face this clearly made your heart break even more. But you needed to be strong. ”I will be careful” you assured as you wiped away her tears with your thumbs. Ellie sighed, ”I will hate this in the morning”. A smile came to your lips ”But I won’t be here to hear that” you said as you kissed her right cheek. Ellie huffed at your lame joke. You raised up and threw your backpack on your back. Ellie eyed you, feeling a lot of mixed emotions. You cleared your throat ”D-do you want to wave me off?”. Ellie nod her head and followed you to the door.
When you finished tying your shoes you opened the door. You looked back at your girlfriend. For some reason it felt like you were about to leave her… for good, even though you knew you would be back in a few days. This made it impossible to keep a tear from rolling down your cheek. You waved it off, not wanting it to be even harder then it already was for Ellie. But you were failing based on the matching tear going down on her cheek. I hate to see her cry. The cold breeze making its way in the house snapped you out of your thoughts. You grabbed you gloves before making your way over to Ellie. You grabbed her face and gave her the most passionate kiss, throwing all your emotions into it. Love, desperation, sorrow. Ellie could taste it. You comb your fingers thought her hair that still had a few knots from the night. Knowing you will miss waking up to her scarred back, tracing your fingertips over them. Plaster her shoulder with kisses til she walks up with a smirk.
Ellie lets her hands roam your clothes body, grabbing it desperately as more tears falls down her cheeks and wet yours. She can´t help but let her mind think ”What if this is the last time? The last time I see her? The last time I feel her?” Ellie squeezed her eyes harder, wanting the thoughts to go away. She said she’ll be careful. She will be fine. Ellie just feel a little overprotective of you. Ever since Joel’s death she’s scared to let anyone she love be out of her sight. For about a month after the ”event” you’d find Ellie wide awake at 5am every single night. You always woke up at that time to go pee, and every single time she would sit with her back against the bed frame, one hand on your arm, staring into a wall. If the flashbacks wouldn’t keep her awake the guilt for not having an eye on you sure would do the job. In the beginning you could buy it. You know losing someone that close to you could do some fucked up things to your head. But when the days turned into weeks that then turned into months you figured this couldn’t be good for her health. It's not like she’s getting back the hours of missed out sleep with like naps or something. Nope, when you wake up she gets up to eat breakfast with you and then continues her days like nothings wrong. By some miracle you convinced her nothing would happen to you, and that she could sleep thought the night cause I would be right beside her when she wakes up. Her only `but´ was that you would wake her up, even if you were just going to drink a glass of water at two in the morning. Thinking it’s better to wake her up max two times per night would be better then her not sleeping at all, you obeyed.
Ellie took a deep breath, breathing in the scent she will miss. She knows the second you close the door she will run up to your closet and put on one of your sweatshirts. Tricking her brain into thinking you’re still here. She will miss you so bad. ”I love you” Ellie said into the kiss. Despite the amount of times she’s told you that your stomach still bubbled. Ellie made you feel like a little schoolgirl. Whenever she’s around you always get flustered and can’t seem to control yourself. Its ridicules considering you two have been in a relationship for six years now. You pulled back first, knowing you had to stop yourself before you would change your mind and follow her back inside. You looked at each other one last time before you turned around and walked out the door. You didn’t dare look back when you walked away from your shared house. Tear continued to fall down your face despite your attempts at wiping them away as you put on your gloves. As you reached the stable you had calmed down. But according to Dina´s sympathetic look when she saw you, you couldn’t fool anyone. ”Good job, (y/n)” Dina said as she rubbed your back comforting. But you just when over to grab your horse´s harness from Jesse and walked her out of the stable. Jesse and Dina gave each other a look, but followed your action.
The leather rope felt weird in your hand. Almost like you’re not suppose to go. You sigh before jumping up onto your horse. When Dina and Jesse were in line with you the man opened the gate. Jesse took the lead like you’d planned a few weeks ago. He knows the paths the best and he’s the one who’s been on most patrols out of the three of you. That should give the guy some type of advantage, right? Dina slowed down to match up with your pace. She looked at you with a pitiful expression before asking ”How did she take it?”. ”I don't wanna talk about it” you answered with a calm but slightly annoyed tone. Dina looked off to the side as she sighed ”She can be a handful sometimes. But she just caress about you. Sure, it will be har-” ”I said I don't want to talk about it!” you snapped, enough for Jesse to look back at the two of you. Dina was shocked at your raise of tone. But she understood. She let you be for the rest of the ride to your first location to set camp. You felt like shit for creating this awkward silence among you three, but you really didn’t want to talk about it. You all get off of your horses and leads them into the building. Maria had warned you about a potential snowstorm so you figured the horses should be inside. After petting your horse along with some ”good girl!” and ”you did so well!” in that fake-ass happy voice that wouldn’t fool anyone expect for animals. At the corner of your eyes you saw Dina unpacking her stuff from her saddle. You walked up to her ”Hey, Dina”, she turned her head. You played with your fingers, never being one who’s great at apologies ”Uhm, I just-” you sighed ”I just wanted to say I’m sorry. I-I just don't want to talk about it. It was hard as it was and I’m just trying to not think about it. Okay?”. Dina gave you a warm smile ”Of course. I'm sorry I didn’t get the hint”. ”So, let's just forget about that now. I’m starving!” Dina wrapped her arm around your shoulders, leading you into the room you’d plan to sleep in.
You didn’t sleep well. Pretty obvious, I guess. Also the warmth of Ellie's body pressed against your back always seemed to easy you and remove any troublesome thought that was bugging you. What you didn’t know was Ellie also had the same sleeping-issues. She had pressed your pillow against her, trying to mimic your body. Ellie rolled over for what felt like the 100th time that night. The paranoia was catching up with her. She really didn’t want to fall asleep, but she knew you would kill her if you found out she hadn’t been sleeping these five days. Therefore her countess attempts. You felt awful leaving her when you know she has trouble sleeping with all the nightmares. And you sure would feel even worse if you knew Ellie would be crying herself to sleep that night. Sure, you’ve both been at patrols before, leaving the other to sleep on their own. But not for this long… Ugh, Ellie just wished the five days would be done by now.
You woke only to get dressed, eat a quick breakfast and pack your stuff again. You attached the bag on your saddle before leading your horse outside. The storm must not have been that bad considering the path wasn’t too packed with snow. You jumped up on the horse to await Dina. She soon show up, slower then ever. ”Get you ass on the horse, grandma!” you shouted. A chuckle could be heard from Jesse despite him being a little ahead of you. Dina flipped you off before getting on her horse. The ride to the next location wasn’t long. If it wasn't for the lack of time that wouldn’t allows us to go back we could have left the horse and walked. The three of us  get off our horses and lead them to a more hidden place where we tie them to. Entering the place we can now identify it as a gas station. Odd considering the way you entered looked nothing like it. Thinking you might have entered through a backdoor or something you made it thought the shop. There was a room ahead, but you figured you would invest this place first. The three of you took of to different directions, making the exploring much quicker and affective. You walk past a shelf to see a shiny packaging. You pick up the small, paper-thin, rectangle to look at it. You notice it’s one of those superhero collection cards. In a sealed package. Ellie will love this one! You put it in the pocket of your jacket and move on.
But something made you freeze on the spot. A gunshot along with a horse scream in pain echoed though the small shop. You looked over at Jesse, not daring to even take a step. He wore the same scared expression as you. Two more shots were heard along with similar screams and loud thuds. ”No!” Dina screamed, not thinking straight as she’s running towards the door we came from. You ran up to her, tackling her trying to shush her. ”They killed our horses! My poor baby!” Dina cried out. ”I know, I know. But you need to stay quiet right now” you whispered. Dina continued her cries so you dragged her against a shelf close by. You put your hand over her mouth, continuously trying to make her shut up. You heard footsteps followed with gunshots, praying to God it’s Jesse. You let go of Dina as you grab your gun. You carefully crawl to the edge of the self and slowly peak though behind it. Jesse takes down the men, but you can tell he’s struggling. You aim your gun towards one of the guy´s head, but before you get to fire you felt a sharp pain in your stomach. Everything happened so quickly. You were able to pull the trigger before the gun fell out of your hand… you think?
The blood pumping in your ears made everything sound echoey. Dina yelled your name and you weren’t able to move out of your spot until another pain came to your chest. You sit down on your butt, head spinning like crazy. You looked up to see a man, pointing his rifle at your head. But before he gets to pull the trigger Jesse comes up behind him and slice his throat. You grasped at the wounds, trying your best to press down on them, just like you’ve been thought. You cry out in pain as you shaky hands come in contact with the bloody mess, ruining all your attempts at hiding. The blood makes a warm puddle in your lap, staining your out-washed jeans. Fuck, Ellie will be so pissed you thought before falling onto your back. You hit the ground with a thump. Normally, you would probably whine about the pain at the back of your head, but there were other things hurting worse. Dina's face popped into your field of vision, wearing the same concerned expression as Jesse. You felt Dina cutting up your shirt, but you didn’t have the power to lift your head. To be honest you didn’t know if you wanted to see. She let the blood-drenched shirt fall to the sides of your body. She unzipped her backpack to take out the first aid-kit she always packed but, thank god, haven’t had to use. Until now. The gunshots have stopped now. Did Jesse get them all? You raise up your hand to cough. As you pulled back your hand and looked at it you saw blood. You wiped it on your shirt, not knowing if it help or just got more blood on your hand.
Tears fell down the side of your face as the realization hits you. You will never have the barn you and Ellie always talked about. The one she would yell a lot of cursewords at while renovating it. The one which porch you would sit on in two rocking-chairs just like an old couple. Never be able to get married. Wearing your mom’s beautiful white dress, and see Ellie’s face when you walk down the aisle with your dad. She’s always said she’d like to do it the cheesy ”we can't see each other before the ceremony”-thing. You always burst out laughing when she says it cause you both know she’s the one who can't keep her hands off of you. Never be able to walk around with a big belly, starting a family with Ellie. Like you both always wanted. You already planned with the donator. Being able to call Ellie ”mine” in any possible way. Never be able to hold Ellie’s hands as they get more and more wrinkly. Get to see if she’ll be the grumpy old cat lady you’ve always thought she would be. The one who will curse out the neighbor's kids when they walk on our lawn.
Despite Dina’s successful attempts to stop the bleeding of both your wounds the pool of blood still grew bigger around you. She frowned and carefully turned your body on it’s side. You whined. Dina’s eyes widened as they met the sight on your back. She slowly puts you back in your previous position, but her mind was elsewhere. She was in pure shock, only able to focus on the blood on her hands. Your blood. Jesse looked back at Dina, only to see her sitting hopelessly in front of your body. ”Why aren’t you doing anything!” Jesse yelled. Every second was valuable. Dina turned around to look at him with a defeated look. Jesse's face dropped when he understood. He shot a glance at you before he kneed down beside his girlfriend.
As you looked at the decayed roof above you your mind wonders back to Ellie. You picture her sitting with her guitar, like that one time she played ”Take On Me” for you. She was so proud she finally learned it after months of trying. You don't know how many times you’ve heard the riff, followed with a curseword. That girl sure is stubborn. You never thought the day would come when she’d come into the kitchen as you were doing the dishes. ”Babe! I've got it!” she excitedly announced. She barely let you put down the plate you were currently working on before she grabbed your wrist and dragged you into the living room. You sat down on the couch, opposite side of Ellie as she readjusted the guitar on her lap. And then she started to play. You let yourself be stunned by her quiet yet beautiful voice. She never sung for you so you were soaking it all up. Her advanced fingers almost slide through the chords. You giggled whenever she made a silly face when she hit the wrong note. But the only thing you could feel was proudness. You were proud of Ellie. Like a stage-mom finally seeing her little girl on the big stage. Even thought you were the only audience that night she still put on one hell of a show. You chuckled at the memory. God, I will miss her.
You turned your head to look at Dina and Jesse. ”Do you think they can save him?” you ask, weakly. They looked at each with a shared confusion. ”Him?” Dina repeated, watching you carefully not miss any hints you might give in this haze of a state. You raised you left hands and rubbed it in a comforting motion over your bloody stomach.

Author´s Note: Despite the writing not being perfect I’m still very happy by the basic idea. I’m a sucker for sad/depressed endings, so this was really up my ally. I don´t know why I haven’t included it in more of my stories. I guess it just didn’t feel right. Whatever, if you have any ideas for Ellie x Reader feel free to send them to me!

Demon!Eddie x Plus Size!Fem!Reader
TW/CW: SMUT 18+ MDNI, unprotected piv, dom/sub, body image talk, fingering
A/N: This oneshot was more a self-indulgent thing being someone who is pleasantly plump myself but I'm quite happy with it! I always imagine Eddie to be someone who doesn't care about size. Demon!Eddie would care even less because he can lift anyone, so he isn't hindered even for a minute. Enjoy and please be sure to support.

”God, this was so stupid..”
You rolled the complaint over several times in your mind now, frustrated at the clothes you wore. By choice? No, because your friends told you to try something to put yourself out there. You didn’t realize that meant a skirt and tightly fitting tank top. It was bad enough you were self conscious about your tummy, even your thick thighs. Hell, you were quite *comfortable* in your loose jeans and baggy tops. Why couldn’t your friends leave well enough alone?
Especially in the middle of a dive like The Hideout.
”I swear, I could choke them.”
That was a tempting thought. Out of reach though - and highly illegal - but a girl could dream, right? Anything to make this night a little bit more bearable.
“Hey there, sweetheart.”
The sound of a male voice pulled you out of your inner brooding, snapping your attention to a longhaired metalhead with a smirk that could probably warm the coldest heart, “Looking a little.. on edge. Out of your element?” His head tilted along with his question, though he was still smirking. Was he checking you out, too? No way. He was too cute. Way too cute.
“You could say that..” You reply, small in your voice while suddenly hyper aware of your exposed skin as if you were standing in public in a bikini rather than a skirt and tank top. Like a natural response, your arms fold over your chest in a snug hold that resembles a hug to yourself. The metalhead takes notice, a shift in his facial expression, “Here.” In a gesture of either sympathy or thoughtfulness, he sheds his leather jacket and lets you slip into it, “Better? Sorry I can’t do much for your, uh..” He motioned to your bare legs, eyes lingering a little longer than normal before he cleared his throat, “‘m Eddie, by the way. Shoulda - said that sooner, huh?” There was a sheepish tone to his words while he rubbed the back of his neck at the subtle tension.
The jacket smelled of aged leather and cigarettes, even a hint of faded woodsy cologne. It was.. nice. But why was he doing this? You glanced around, seeing the many other faces of women and men around the dive bar. Some younger, some older. Your eyes fall back on him, “Uh.. Thank you but- why?”
Such a simple question, yet Eddie found himself tongue tied at the very thought, “Ah, well.” He scratched his head. Shit, just be honest. “You looked really fucking uncomfortable and, considering the drunks around here, I figured you didn’t want some asshole cornering you next like some piece of ass.” Eddie explained, averting his eyes solely from a sudden wave of nerves that crashed over him. It was a truth, he just hoped it was a good enough answer to suffice.
“Oh..”
That answer had effectively caught you off guard but you also found it endearing, somewhat. He was making sure a total stranger was comfortable. Something you didn’t see very often and the last thing you would expect in a seedy place like this.
“I appreciate that.”
Eddie heard your words and the sincerity that followed them, his lips upturning in a boyish grin where you suddenly realized he had dimples. Dimples. Holy fuck. Your eyes seemed to meet his now gleaming gaze, the color a rich brown that warmed you from the inside, the heat settling in your chest before he spoke. “Not a problem, sweetheart.” You were starting to really like the name ‘sweetheart’. Specifically from him.
“So, you here for any particular reason?” Eddie cocked a brow at you while tucking his hands in his pockets. A sigh leaves you at the recollection that your friends technically dragged you here. Well, now using the term ‘friends’ quite loosely, “My friends brought me to be daring and try something new.”
Raised eyebrows, a huff of a chuckle left the metalhead at your words.
“Wait, hold on the damn phone.” Eddie began, “Your friends thought a change of pace..” He used finger quotations at ‘change of pace’, “would be to bring you to a shitty dive hole like this?” His hands went up in defense, “I mean, yeah. I’ve performed here a shit ton but that’s purely desperation to get my band heard not because I enjoy it.” A laugh left him. “Tell you what..”
Your eyes met his once again, that same heat flaring in your chest like a fire being fed again, “What?” You couldn’t help the curiosity welling inside your stomach. Eddie jerked a thumb towards the bar entrance, “I’ll get you home safe and you can seriously reconsider your friends.” The playful jab from him didn’t slip by you, in fact you actually giggled, “I probably should, huh.” You respond. His shoulders raised slightly, “I mean, as long as you are okay with that. I promise I’m not some sleaze, I just hate to see someone so uncomfortable. Even more now that I know your shitty friends forced you here. Kinda grimy.” The last two words made him curl his lip at the idea of people dragging someone they supposedly care about into a sketchy place.
Surprisingly to you, there was a trust there to let him drive you home, “Sure, I would honestly love to get out of here.” God, it would be a blessing at this point. This place is a shithole.
“Sounds like a plan, princess.” Eddie’s wide grin was one that made your heart stutter a little. ‘Princess’? Oh, god, that made you feel some things. Maybe things you should repeat out loud.
“What is wrong with you? He is being nice, not flirting.. Don’t make it weird..”
Clearing your throat, you smile, “Yeah, sounds good.”
Following Eddie out to his old beat up van, he was a gentleman and opened the passenger door for you to climb inside with a flourish of his hand and grand smile, “Ladies first.” He chimed happily to your figure climbing into it to get comfortable. His eyes lingering on your ass for just a smidge longer than necessary. Unknown to you, he was absolutely checking you out. Eddie was the kind that didn’t care what shape, size or otherwise someone was. He just knew if he thought they were cute, he thought they were cute. And you were very cute.
Jogging around to the driver’s side, Eddie hopped in with an excited sigh and pull of his door before he turned the key, “Alright. Let’s head out, princess.”
During the drive, you couldn’t help but look over and admire him secretly. His doe eyes, the brown curls, the way his eyes creased when he smiled. Fuck, you were digging yourself deeper by the second. Suddenly, a boldness bubbled up inside you.
“Eddie?”
“Hmm?”
“Can we go to Lover's Lake instead?”
Odd request but who was he to say no? After all, at least it was safer than The Hideout, “Sure. I am but your humble chauffeur.” He teased with a mock accent of nobility. He changed course for Lover’s Lake, pulling into the gravel parking lot and putting the van into park. You looked around as if to gather the courage to ask your next question.
“You’re just being nice to me, right? Like, you’re not actually flirting with me.”
Eddie widened his eyes before they inevitably softened, “Yeah, ‘m being nice. But I do find you cute.” He scratched his head, “Really cute, actually.” His tone was a bit shy, the first shyness you had pinpointed in him since you two met. “It’s not making you uncomfortable, is it? ‘Cause, I can stop.” Eddie assured.
You cut him off before his nerves got the better of him, “No, it’s not that. I just-” You flex your hands with a purse to your lips, “I’m not used to guys finding me cute.” Eddie’s eyes widened, as if he had been offended for you, “What? Why? I mean-” The pieces began to gather in his mind as he huffed angrily, “It’s because they don’t like how you look.. Isn’t it?” His words are more of a statement than a question. When you nod, he seems to almost growl, “Shallow fuckers..”
Just as quickly as his anger seemed to spark, it was doused with a compassionate look, “Princess, I don’t give a damn how you look. Sure, I think you’re fucking eye candy but that isn’t a priority to me.” He smiled, slipping a compliment into his reasoning. A compliment that makes your face go bright red. Eddie read this in your expression and chuckled, “I think you’re cool and you give off some amazing energy so I dig it.” His words come with a casual shrug.
“So you really don’t-”
“No, I don’t care about your weight.”
“And you find me-”
“Attractive? Abso-fucking-lutely.”
“Enough to-”
The words hung in the air just enough to shift the dynamic completely. Eddie felt a smirk tug slowly at his lips, “Enough to what, princess?” All of a sudden, he wanted to hear you say it. Loud and clear. “Go on, use your words.” Jesus christ, he’s gonna give you a cardiac arrest. His brown eyes now smolder as they gaze at you with a hunger growing by the second. And god, you might just want to be devoured.
“Enough to fuck me.”
Eddie’s eyes widened slightly, surprised you actually said it out loud while it simultaneously sent a shockwave from the top of his spine down to his groin, “You certainly wouldn’t have to ask me twice, sweetheart.” A growl edged his words like a sinful promise, “And the back of my van is more comfy than it looks, I promise.” He winked.
The two of you gravitate towards the back part of his old van, Eddie landing a playful swat to your ass as you move between the seats with his lip catching in his teeth at the sight of it. The moment he lounged with his back nestled against the backside of the driver’s seat, you were on him. Straddling his lap, lips against his and moving together with a hunger that threatened to eat you both alive. It was only when he broke the kiss abruptly that you were confused and a little worried, “Did I do something wrong?”
“No, no, princess.” Eddie assured with his hand now cupping your cheek, “Just- if we do this, you need to know something.” His tone held an undeniable fear. A nervousness to rival your own. You frowned with a look in your eyes that held understanding, “What is it?” It was a question he felt better to show than say as an answer.
In an elegance you didn’t expect, Eddie had gained horns in a black that looked like velvet along with claws on his fingers and a tail that came up to brush your thigh in the lightest of manners. When he gave a sheepish grin, fangs glinted even in the lowlight of the van, “Well?”
For a moment of stunned silence, you took in the new features the metalhead had morphed into existence - a balance of man and monster. Rather than being afraid, you were mesmerized, “Wow..”
“Is that a good ‘wow’?” Eddie had hope in his words that layered a sense of worry. You instinctively cupped his face in your hands, “The best ‘wow’..” Barely above a whisper, your reply sent a chill down his spine that could only be described as liberating. Like nothing was lost, your lips met again. Only this time, clothes began to fall away between the both of you - a silent relief for you considering you had been dying to get that god forsaken skirt and constricting tank top off already.
Goosebumps appeared under the light trails of his claws that followed the dips of your sides and your hips that he was more than tempted to bite. To mark with teeth and bruises. Fuck, he needed to get ahold of himself already but the pulsing hard on was a protest to that ideal. Seeing you naked, bare for him to see unabashedly, the primal feeling in his blood vibrated to life, “The unholy things I’m about to do to you, princess.” His voice laced in a sinful warning though you took it as a threat of a good time.
“Please..” You managed out, not knowing where that even came from. The single word making a low rumble leave the core of his chest, “You beg so prettily, sweetheart.” His fingers found the apex of your things, despite his claws he was gentle when he slid his middle finger deep into the channel of your pussy, “And so ready. My, you may look innocent but you seem very eager.” You let out a slow exhale from parted lips, the moment his digit begins to pump inside you it’s over for you. His skin was warmer than any normal human’s, adding a whole new sensation to him fingering you.
“Eddie-”
“Shh, save your pretty voice, princess. I don’t want you to waste it on whispers. Only on screams.” His finger moved faster, adding another one to the mix that drew a deep gasp from your lips, “Oh- fuck..” Your eyes went down to your hips, watching him. Eddie found it sexy as hell, “That’s it, princess. Watch me get you nice and ready.” Ready was an understatement, you were damn near dripping down his hand already. Somehow, this metalhead was hitting all the right buttons immediately to the point where it was bordering on dizzying.
The way his fingers scissored and curled inside you was making your eyes flutter, crossing ever so slightly with your jaw slack. His tongue, long and flicking up at the end, slithered over your neck in a tortuous pace before coming to your breasts. The tapered end curling around one of your nipples with a groan from his lips. That taste of you leaving him craving more. Much more.
“I need you, princess. Now.”
There was no room for argument and it wasn’t like you were going to argue anyway. ‘No’ might have even completely left your vocabulary at this very moment.
In a flash, Eddie had you on your back - his strength making the action effortless. Hips nestled between thighs, teeth on neck, he was growling with a primal lust that needed to be sated and sated quickly. Something you were more than willing to do. His cock sat nestled in your heat, your slick coating his shaft where it practically made his eyes roll back, “Go on, pretty girl. Beg me for it. You do it so pretty.” The rumble of his voice, deep and assertive as each syllable dripped with dominance. It made you want to do anything he said.
“Please..” You begged, uttering that word for the second time that evening. Eddie grinned, “You can do better than that. Beg like a good girl.” He urged, delivering a particularly quick thrust of his hips so his cock drew more friction against you. The action drawing a whine from your throat, “Please.. I-I need you inside me. I need to feel you!” You were just sounding desperate now but that was exactly how he liked it.
“There’s my good girl.”
Without a second more of hesitation, grabbing the base of his cock, he notched the head at your entrance. In one thrust, hips to hips, he breached your muscle and sheathed inside you to the hilt. You let a guttural moan rip from your throat at the sheer intensity of it. “Oh my god!” You cry out.
Eddie’s mouth widened into a knowing grin.
“No god, only me, princess.”
With that, he pumped into your tight cunt with ferocity as the van rocked on its suspension coils. Cries and whimpers of pleasure muffled by the steel of the vehicle. It was gonna be a long night.

I just LOVE your spitdash, the way you draw them (as much as the rest of your art, it’s amazing❤️‍🩹) And I'm wondering what was their first kiss like? Who took the initiative?
Oh god there are so many possibilities. But one of my fave hcs and 'main' AU for them is that it was actually Rainbow who took initiative.
I love to think Rainbow and Spitfire got along super well and became very close, even with their respective roles and power imbalance within the Wonderbolts. Same interests, same energy. Both appreciate each other's traits and both didn't expect to get along with the other that well.
Spitfire lets down her guard a bit too much and allows herself to be closer to Rainbow than she usually would (not romantically, just friendship-wise. She's still her captain all things considered). Because she didn't meet anyone yet that could match her in energy, adrenaline-seeking and interests. Plus I think she absolutely adores how unhinged and sometimes weird and quirky Rainbow can be.
So regarding the first kiss, I love that Rainbow's initial admiring crush of her celebrity turns into her falling intensely for Spitty, once she gets to know Spitfire more privately. Spitfire doesn't open up to anyone just like that. Her fascination grows, especially when they're alone, and Rainbow starts to sometimes sink into this almost dream-like state where she turns her surrounding off and feels her emotions so intensel. She doesn't really register half of what Spitfire's saying and just takes it all in. And within one of those dream states, she is starting to be completely lost in Spitfire's eyes and smile and then just... goes for it. Her brain is turned off. She solely follows her intense need to kiss her and barely registers what she's doing.
Until she separates and reality immediately crashes back in again. Both shocked. Rainbow a stuttering, apologizing mess, red as a tomato. And Spitfire clearly overwhelmed because she somehow did not see that coming. The kiss could have been anywhere, really. Them lying on the grass, on a cloud. Spending time somewhere and just sitting next to each other. Anything where the other team members aren't there.
I LOVE Rainbow falling victim to her desires and that being the catalyst for their romance starting (or at least the emotional turmoil). She's not good with being patient and holding back. On the other hand, I don't see Spitfire initiating anything because she values the WBs rules too much and wants to be an actual good role model. She isn't just the Wonderbolt's captain, she is the Wonderbolts - in the public eye at least. She represents them the most as their leader. Ethically ambiguous choices aren't her thing (at least in this main AU, there are definitely others where she could initiate).
Lastly I just love an inner struggle with both of them. Spitfire definitely has some feelings for Rainbow already once they kiss - and may be aware of them or not. But she definitely knows she can't date anyone within the team for a bazillion reasons. So she deals not only with her emotions, which now definitely came to surface, but also how to handle the interaction with Rainbow after the kiss.
I don't want to get into it too much (because this is already too long) but I also adore that Spitfire would in turn initiate their second kiss, which I imagine as a lot more passionate than the first, rather cute one. After the embarrassment, shame and guilt of her actions, Rainbow definitely won't go for a second one.
Listen there is so much potential for conflict and pining and I love it so so much....

PLAYING: Sable
Tumblr media
I'm seeing some cracks in the experience. It is an indie game. Still, I enjoy it very much.
Readying Metro 2035, which has been translated from Russian...and somewhat poorly I believe. There's inconsistency in capitalization of certain letters in names, sometimes inconsistency in the names themselves. Plus, there's sentences that simply don't make any sense. Kind of like, "he jumped the shark". I barely even know what that means--so imagine someone reading a literally translation of that in another language: "Whoah, what shark?! I thought they were in a Metro...there's sharks in Metros?"
Point is, i feel like my opening comments above read like a poor translation.
So, SABLE!!
I'm starting to get the hang of the game a little more. While I love story, I don't love how this game handles dialog. We're given descriptive prose which provide insight into the main character's psyche. I think this is because the developers couldn't allocate resources to animations in order to provide visual storytelling. I mean, did they try? Final Fantasy 7 had about six different animations that it reused over and over to communicate unspoken emotion, and that worked perfectly fine. And it avoided the this annoying thing Sable does of over-explaining a conversation/interaction with prose.
Example:
I will walk up to a new character and click interact. The character will say, "Hey, how can I help you." Then I'm presented with reasonable dialog choices: 1. "Who are you?" 2. "Where can I find [quest item]? 3. "I'm just looking for general advice." And once you click on a choice, instead of assuming that is said to the other character, the game provides a few sentences such as:
"I nervously look up at this imposing figure, wondering if they're the kind of person that helps strangers. But I remember why I'm here, and that I shouldn't allow myself to be intimidated. That's when I manage to squeak out: "Who are you?"
Is that all necessary? I don't think so. It was kinda cute at first, but now it's getting on my nerves. I almost feel ashamed that I speed-read through most of the prose stuff and just get to the dialog. I think Roki handled this better, but only providing dialog but allowing the characters to express and auditory sigh of joy or sadness to bring forth the emotional weight of the scene.
I'm a little torn on how large the world is. On the one hand, it allows you to enjoy the act of traveling by hover bike. On the other hand, the world is pretty empty. There's not much to see or do in between major landmarks. I think there's two issues at play--the hover bike is kinda boring, but also--clunky.
I think about Sea of Thieves, which I love, and how sailing from one island to the next takes work. The winds are always shifting, which requires the player(s) to constantly adjust the sails. Uncharted rocks can appear, require a concerted effort to maneuver. And events like rain storms and accidents can require the player to manage war and ship damage. The point being, traveling is an experience in of itself. Sable's hover bike doesn't have that. it's just a vehicle that moves you about and there's no management really. No fuel or anything--just travel.
But travel is a bit clunky, because the hover bike constantly handles the uneven landscape in strange ways. I'll ramp off a hill and land funny, cause the bike to flip and roll out of control. You can't fall off, so it's low consequence, but it's frustrating and disruptive how poorly the bike handles the terrain. I've played tons of Jet Moto and expect more from my hover bike. I think this "punishment" would be fine if the player were given more controle, like in Jet Moto. Give me control of the pitch, yaw, and rolling. While a little more complicated, it would make the driving of the hover bike more of an experience, and would make these "crashes" preventable with good management of the bike's rotation. OR, if you're going to not give me control--make the experience less clunky--like in Destiny. The bikes just always know how to handle the environment.
I've done a few quest. One involved trying to solve a mystery of a stolen power source. The game gives you credit for trying, and there doesn't seem to be a right answer--but I felt I was mostly right. It was kind of neat, but also annoying. Otherwise, I'm mostly just doing fetch quests. It's got that World of Warcraft vibe I like--big open world with long travel times. It's a real chill experience. The quests are sometimes interesting, like using smokey rocks to get glow worms to drop off a ceiling or collecting lightning crystals.
Also, the lightning crystals are worth 100 monies each. I plan to go get more of those. Did you know merchants will run out of money?
I've started doing fishing. It's weird to think you catch fish swimming in sand. There's a cute minigame to capture a fish. It's kind of annoying though. Not as annoying as real fishing, so maybe I should be grateful.
They've made some interesting structures and areas. Sadly, these areas rarely have much more than a single treasure box and a collectable. It's both awe inspiring and disappointing. I mean, Shadow of the Colossus had a large but mostly empty world and it's well loved.
I'm still enjoying the game and it's tone. I think I'm starting to get hints of how this world came to be. I climbed a giant, dead sand worm. That was interesting. I'm already itching to play more as I write this.

"Bad news, darling," you hear Shoto mumble as he opens your bedroom door, eyes glued to his phone with his brows frowned.
"What's up?" you ask, looking up from your book.
"My jet was shot down today while coming in for our trip. I won't be able to get my hands on another one in time," Shoto says, standing next to his side of the bed. Todoroki has business to take care of in America, so you guys had decided to make a trip of it and spend extra time while he's in New York. Now, if he doesn't have his jet, he's planning to cancel. "I was looking forward to the trip," Shoto sighs. "Oh well."
"For someone whose plans just got messed up and private jet shot down, you seem very calm," you laugh, eyeing him.
"Oh, I don't care. I was 'helping' Maaru with some things, and he was on board when it crashed. I just needed that last deal to go through, and I'd get rid of Maaru. Shion is the one who shot it down. I was planning on putting a bullet through his head next week anyways. If anything, this saved me time and a bullet," he says, a smug grin on his face as he flops down in bed next to you. "Now, I have a reason to get a new jet, and it'll be picked and designed by none other than my lovely wife." Shoto leans over and gives you a quick peck as he finishes his sentence.
"We don't have to cancel, you know? We could still go," you tell him.
"The plans were for it to be in two days, Love. There's no time to get a new, perfect jet. And since I have to reschedule, it'll be a few weeks cause I have other things lined up, plus take time to check out the jet."
"We can go to a regular airport. All you have to do is get a fake passport and ID. That will be easy. Plus, everyone will be wearing masks, so nobody will know it's you even if they did know who you are," you tell him, setting your book to the side.
"Mm. I don't know how all that stuff works. We can reschedule," Shoto says, laying back on the bed and bringing his attention to his phone.
"Excuse me, Mr. Todoroki," you pull his phone out of his hand, getting his attention, "if you don't remember, I wasn't always dealing with the mob. I could set it all up for us. No problem."
He looks at you, a small smile tugging the corner of his lips. You always joked about your life before you met Shoto. Talking about the simple things he knew nothing about and the little traditions he couldn't for the life of him, figure out why you used to enjoy them so much.
"Alright, Love. If you insist. You can set it all up," he smiles.
You nod. "Gimme your card."
~~
Two days later, you wake at 4:30 am to your alarm going off. You grab your phone, forcing your eyes open and turning off the annoying sound. You turn over to look at Shoto, seeing him still passed out. His head's buried in his pillow, his arm lazily thrown over your waist, a sign of how he always wants to be "protecting" you in some way.
You can tell he hasn't been in bed long. When you went to sleep, he wasn't there yet and seeing the fact he hadn't woken up, usually, his reflexes pushing him awake from the slightest noise, you knew he was extra tired.
You pushed yourself up, sliding out of bed and to the bathroom. You brush your teeth and wash your face, slipping from the room to wake Shoto. You put your fingers through his hair, scratching his scalp softly. "Sho, wake up." Your voice is just above a whisper.
His face scrunches up, his head moving and trying to bury itself further into his pillow. "What's wrong?" he grunts, refusing to open his eyes.
"Nothing, baby," you laugh, "you need to get up. Our flight is early."
"Why so early?" he whines like a child.
"It's best to get the first flight out. We have to be there in time to stand in lines, plus early enough before they start boarding," you explain.
"This all sounds very extra," he slurs.
You laugh and roll your eyes. "you'll understand when we get there. I'm going to take a shower. My bag already is packed, but you didn't pack yours yet, so you should do that while I'm showering, and Davi will be outside waiting for us at 5:45."
It's 5:00 now, and you knew you needed to wake up early since it'd be hard to get Todoroki out of bed since the poor boy isn't used to this, so you knew he'd move slow.
Shoto shifts on his back, a sign he always did when he started waking up. You slip into the bathroom, taking a quick shower. You can hear Shoto shuffle into the bathroom after a few minutes. You get out of the shower, giving him a smile as he watches you pass by the mirror and go into the bedroom.
You put on a shirt and sweats, gathering your ID and passport, plus Shoto's fake ones and your boarding passes, mentally checking off everything. When you think you got everything together, you turn and see Shoto out of the bathroom and getting ready.
"Shoto," you laugh. "Baby, no, wear something comfortable. And you need to at least have on a hoodie so you can wear the hood cause a mask will hide your face, but your hair is a dead giveaway if anyone knows you."
He's in the process of putting on a fancy shirt he'd usually wear, plus already having on some pants that are on the fancier side. "Oh," he says, looking at his outfit, starting to pull it off.
He replaces it with a hoodie like you said, plus a pair of jeans. "Ready, Sho?" you ask, grabbing your suitcase and backpack.
"Yeah, I guess," he says, grabbing his own suitcase and walking behind you, a gentle smile on his face. "This'll be fun, Sho, don't worry."
~~
When you pull up, Shoto is asleep, his head against the door window. "Wake up. We're here," you say, gently shaking his knee. Shoto stirs, opening his eyes, taking in the scenery around you.
It's so many people. All of them minding their business, but also everyone doing the same thing, getting in and out of cars. It's Shoto's first time here, so he didn't fully understand where you were at the airport or what was going on, but he went along with you.
Davi drove you guys to the pick-up and drop-side of the airport. You guys are in one of Shoto's less flashy cars, not wanting to bring attention to you both. Not that you looked suspicious, but Shoto did a little since he's wearing his hood low. You couldn't get all his bangs to stay out of his face, so you pulled his hood down to the middle of his forehead.
Shoto follows you out of the car, helping you get the bags out of the trunk. Total, you guys have three, your carry-on, plus your backpack full of snacks and stuff you might need during the flight. Shoto only packed his regular big bag, full of suits and shirts, not thinking about bringing something to occupy himself. You packed a few extra items in your bag, knowing he'll get antsy eventually.
You have everything in your hands, ready to get going when you bring your attention back to Shoto. He's standing next to the car, looking out at the people. You can tell he's not focusing on the hand full of people in front of you, but him zeroing in through the window, on the hundreds of people moving around inside.
You walk over to him and grab his hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. "Remember, Sho. This' not one of your gala's or parties. These people aren't thinking about bothering us in any way." Shoto looks down at you, his eyes slightly softening as he nods and lets you lead the way.
You knew he'd be anxious and antsy. You know for sure he's never around this many people without it being a dangerous group, plus the slight chance someone is trying to kill him.
You start walking toward one of the pairs of doors, but you don't go inside. Shoto is confused but keeps following you as you lead him to a desk with carts behind it. Only one other person had been standing there, and everyone else was getting out and going straight inside. You give them your name, ID, boarding pass, and passport, telling Shoto to lift his bag to the bag scale.
"Learned this trick years ago." You turn and smile at Shoto as the guy behind the desk puts in your information. "Nobody ever comes to these bag check-in spots, they always go inside, and then lines are super long. These ones are almost always basically empty, compared to the inside at least," you say happily.
"So, where are they taking my bag?" Shoto asks lowly.
"They're just taking it, and it'll be under the plane since it's too big to go in the compartments on the plane," you explain.
Before Shoto asks any other questions, the guy behind the desk gets your attention. "You'll need to pay an additional fee. The bag is over the weight limit for it to be free," he says.
"Oh, ok," you nod and pull out Shoto's card, handing it to the man. He taps a few things and gives it and all your stuff back, saying that you're all good. You nod ok and turn to leave as he takes the bag, pulling it off the scale and to one of the carts.
You grab Shoto's hand again and head inside, looking around at the security lines. "The one up here is kinda long. Lets's try the one on the lower level. Sometimes they're not as long." You pull him toward the escalator, taking it one level down to the other security area, and sure enough, it wasn't overly long. "Perfect," you smile.
You begin to head to the line, but Shoto doesn't move. You look back, seeing him eyeing the security line. "What's wrong?" you ask.
"I didn't know the thing about metal detectors was real- I thought it was a joke," he says, a frown beginning to form.
"Yeah. We probably won't have to go through that, though. Usually, it's for children and their parents. We'll have to do the full-body scan one," you say, nodding to the big machine.
"Oh." He turns his head to you, pulling your arm, getting closer to him. "Will you put my gun in your bag? I'm guessing it will set the machine off, and I see these signs saying no guns," he says.
"Sho, you brought your gun?!" you whisper.
"Of course."
"Baby, no, they have all these machines-" you sigh, "they'd be able to see it when I put my bag through the scanner."
"Oh," he says, his face still had a confused look on it.
You can only guess that since he's always flown on a private jet since he was little, his parents probably told him about airports, but he never really understood how secure they are.
You sigh. "Ok. Give to me-" you see Shoto reach to his waistband "-wait, wait no, not here. Come on," you nod your head and have him follow you, walking to one of the family bathrooms. You both go inside, and you put your hand out, signaling him to hand it to you. He does, and you pull up your shirt, tucking it between your bra and breast, angeling it just enough so it isn't poking straight out. You turn to the mirror, adjusting your shirt. It is just baggy enough so that the gun bulge doesn't show.
"Do you have anything else on you?" you ask. Shoto leans down, putting his hand to his shoe and pulling out a knife from under, also handing it to you. You give him a look and tuck it perfectly with the gun so that it doesn't fall, cringing at the cold metals against your skin. "Ok. Let's go."
You head out of the bathroom, walking back to the security line, only having to stand in it for about 5 minutes before you're at the front. "Just do what they say, ok?" you say quietly to Shoto. He nods, letting go of your hand when you walk in front of him to the security lady. She takes your boarding pass, passport, and ID, telling you to take your mask down. You do, and she nods, saying you can step through. Shoto is behind you, her doing the same thing for him and thankfully also saying he can step through.
He walks to you, and you give him a reassuring smile and nod. "Take off your shoes, put them in here," you grab a bin, "and if you put on a belt. And your phone too and whatever's in your pockets." While Shoto removes his shoes, you put your backpack and suitcase up on the table. You open it, pulling out your and his laptops and setting them in separate bins. You take off your shoes and put them with your phone and passport and everything else that's in your pockets.
Once everything is on the table, you push them down the line, letting the wheels start carrying them through the machine and step away. "Ok. Just do what they say. Everything will be fine," you say again to Shoto, moving him closer to the big machine.
He turns to it, the security guard giving him the move to step through. Shoto does. "Put your feet on the outlines and hands over your head." Shoto does, staring directly ahead of him, a plane expression over his face. The machine does its work, and the security tells him to step out, saying he's good. The security guy turns to you next, signaling you to step through. You do, doing the same thing Shoto did, but this time it goes off.
It gets Shoto's attention. He looks up to you, his head snapping in your direction, eyes wide as the security asks you to step out and to the side. You see Shoto about to click into protective mode, ready to step close to you to make a scene. You shake your head gently, telling him to stay.
You step over and look at the screen showing your body scan, seeing the oval over your chest, telling them somethings there, which of course, you knew would happen. "Oh, it's my bra lining," you tell him.
He nods, calling for one of the female security guards to step over. "Arms up." You put them up and out, her stepping to you and her hands under your armpit area, feeling around there and directly under your breasts, feeling your bra, but not in the middle where the items are. "Ok, you're good." She steps back and lets you pass.
You walk to the tables on the side, seeing your bags made it through and walking to them. You put on your shoes and put everything back into your pockets. Shoto does the same, keeping a calm composure and waiting for you to finish.
Once you have everything on, you take his hand and move away from security. "This's ridiculously uncomfortable," you say lowly, pulling toward the next remotely empty corner and pulling the gun from your bra. You pull it out, Shoto standing in front of you to block the crowd. You bring your backpack around your body, opening the zipper and stuffing his gun in your bag.
"Wait, no, Love, just give it back," he says, putting his hand out to reach for your bag.
"No, if someone sees it on your waist, we'll be screwed," you say. Shoto presses his mouth in a thin line, not wanting to be without it. "Sho, I'll give it to you the second we're out of the New York airport," you say, seeing his slight upset look.
"Ok," he sighs and agrees. You reach into your bra again, taking out the knife and putting it in your bag. You could give it to Shoto, but you think time not with weapons wouldn't hurt.
Once you're situated, you head toward your gate, which isn't far from where you are. When you make it, it's about 30 minutes before boarding time. You see two empty seats and tell Shoto to sit down, pulling out your phone and waiting for the time to pass, laying your head on his shoulder.
While on your phone, Shoto's looking at the people around you, eyeing everyone. "Relax, babe," you mumble, feeling how tense he is, wrapping your arm around his and rubbing circles on his hand. He takes in a slow inhale, trying to relax, remembering this isn't his usual environment, and he doesn't need to be so anxious.
"We will now be start boarding. This' the call for all first-class and diamond medallion passengers," the gate agent says over the intercom.
You feel Shoto move under you, starting to stand. You put your hand over him, saying, "We aren't first class. There weren't any seats left when I looked, but I did pay enough for us to get upgraded if it's available."
"Oh," Shoto says, relaxing back into his seat. After a few minutes, your section gets called, and you tell him, both of you stand and walk toward the line.
"You can sit on the window side," you tell him, stepping back so he can go in the row first, not wanting him to have to sit next to a stranger. He sits, and you put your suitcase in the compartment above the seats, then sit next to him, stuffing your backpack under the seat.
You interlock your fingers with Shoto, watching him reach up and play with the screen in front of you guys. "It's common to have these on flights?" he asks, looking at all the movie options.
"Yeah," you laugh, "not only private jets have TVs." You reach down for your backpack, grabbing headphones and handing them to him. "If you wanna watch some."
After another few minutes, the plane door closed, and then it started moving back, ready to go to the runway. The monitors all sync and begin playing the safety video, causing Shoto to tilt his head in confusion. "This plays every flight?" he asks. You hum a yes. "Is it common for them to be needed? The oxygen things and flotation devices?"
"No. It's just for precaution and first-time flyers who don't know. Just in case it does go down or lose oxygen. Which rarely happens," you explain.
Everything starts settling down, and once your all the way in the air, you lift the armrest between you and Shoto, curling your arm around his and laying on his shoulder, closing your eyes to sleep. Shoto plays more with the monitor for a while, getting a feel for all the features. He doesn't do much. He stays still while you sleep but doesn't put on a movie, only watching his surroundings, keeping his guard up and ready for anything.
You sleep for about an hour and a half. When you open your eyes and sit up, you look at Shoto, seeing how he's sitting there doing absolutely nothing. You shake your head and laugh, reaching to his monitor and turning on a movie and subtitles, wanting him to have some distraction. You lay back on his shoulder, shifting your eyes to watch it with him.
About five movies later, the plane lands, and you guys get off. You walk Shoto to baggage claim, watching as his bag comes around the carousel. "I have a surprise for you," you smile up at him, walking him towards the exit. As you get closer, he sees all the chauffeurs for people, one of them being labeled Todoroki. "I ordered us a limo. Figured you'd be ready to get back to our normal."
"Thank you," he sighs dramatically. "Today has shown me how glad I am to have the money I have."

Can I pleaseee get an OG Michael Myers with a male s/o? Just them being an absolute power couple. Male reader is just like Michael minus all the murder, he’s hella intimidating and big but not as big as Mikey. I just think that dynamic would be so cute like outsiders would probably think they hate each other but in reality they hate everyone but each other like they’re so in love. (The though of Mikey with a big scary boyfriend like him just makes me go feral) Thank you if you do this!! I hope you have a great week!!
GOING FERAL--- I love this idea sm, thank you anon. I am sending you all the praise 🗣🗣🗣
OG Michael with a 'Big and Scary' Male S/O:
Michael isn't 100% sure how it all happened.
I mean, he's intimidating himself. The literal Shape of Haddonfield. He never imagined that he would be in a relationship, let alone with a guy almost as equally as intimidating as he was. Minus the murder, of course.
He thinks it's hilarious when he sees people scared of you, he is literally The Boogeyman, and people are scared of someone like you?
Then again, you are big and strong. Maybe they assume that you are him? If anything, that kind of irritates him, which leads him to stalk you. Which led him to grow infatuated with you.
He does really grow to appreciate the similarities the both of you have with people skills and body types.
He has never been the most confident in himself, and having someone he can be intimate with who looks similar to him helps him open up just a teeny bit more.
No, neither of you are identical, but in a way Michael feels connected with you and to you. Based on your sizes, shapes, and overall personalities.
You will and probably will never be as quiet and reserved as he is, but you are probably one of the most quiet and reserved guys that he has met in Haddonfield, and he loves it so much
You don't seem to have close family, nor close friends. It only gives him more of a reason to crash at your place and feel safe
When the both of you do finally break the ice and have an intimate moment he will be fighting for dominance the whole time. You can either give a fight that he very well might lose, or you could give in and let him have what he wants. In the end, he probably won't mind once he feels how you make him feel. Though if you do completely win, he will pout about it. Even if you have to take the lead the first few times because let's be real, he has no idea what he's doing AT ALL
He likes it when the both of you are wandering town together, though he doesn't leave a lot in case someone recognizes him without his mask on.
The stares and looks of intimidation as the both of you walk side by side. You could be simply walking by him, or your hand held in his and the looks are just as fearful, and he feeds off of it all.
He definitely gets an ego boost from it all
Definitely turned on if you hold your ground with someone as well. Especially if it's a physical fight. He might be tempted to intervene, but he knows how stubborn and strong you really are. Plus, he'll take care of them when you're gone. Then wander on home to take care of you. Even if it isn't in an entirely careful way.

We ask you a lot about what series/shows/movies did wrong, but what are some scenes or moments that you are like "yes! That was done right!"? It can be from anything, but I'd love to also hear about places where things are done right.
It all depends on what you mean. Let's see:
In terms of redemption arcs and flawed protagonists, All Dogs Go to Heaven is one example we like.
Bojack Horseman is the same and there's a TON of other things it did well, such as the cycle of abuse and how abuse doesn't excuse your actions and asexual representation. The list goes on.
In terms of animal fiction: Watership Down and The Animals of Farthing Wood nail immersion and anthropromorphism mixed together.
When Marnie Was There is a movie we enjoy for varying reasons. Cat feels it's a healthy, cute depiction of two girls being gay if you ignore the last ten minutes. I feel it's a nice representation of childhood depression and isolation. Also, this movie is freaking BEAUTIFUL. I just feel at peace watching it.
Wolf Children is an example of family ties and growing up, with the shapeshifting intertwined nicely in it all.
Beauty and the Beast is one where people tried to repeat its tropes to DEATH and failed miserably, right down to its live-action remake. Yeah, just watch the original movie. It got everything right a lot of the time. lol
The Iron Giant and Lilo and Stitch are examples of quirky kid protagonists that worked. The latter also dealt with the effects of trauma on a young child and her sibling and did it in a sensitive and loving way.
To go off on that: Infinity Train also tackled an array of issues that children deal with (trauma, divorce and so on) and showed characters not accepting what's only ever expected of them. Redemption and also no redemption.
A Goofy Movie really nailed father-son relationships and single parent issues too. Just relationships with your child in general. Kudos to them for hinting at abusive relationships and how damaging they are to children as well when it came to Pete and PJ and Pete's 'under your thumb' approach. Like respect vs. fear. And they did it without even saying they did it too, which is really nice for a Disney movie.
A Goofy Movie was just terrifically done in the essence that there is no real antagonist (tho Pete and the principal come close - fuck those guys) and, while you initially side with Max as a child because his uncool dad is crashing his style, you grow up and really sympathise with Goofy's situation too. Realising that you don't really know your kid and he could be mixed up in some heinous shit would cause any parent to act like he does. It's really one of those movies where you can have more than one perspective and, while it gives me real bad 90's vibes, I really think it's timeless in its themes and delivery.
We talked about Finding Nemo briefly a few weeks back. The relationship between a concerned parent and disabled child was handled great. Somebody brought that up and I hardcore agree with them.
AND NOW FOR THE ADULT MOVIES SECTION
I've also talked about movies like Single White Female, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle and so on: here
Bound is not only good sapphic representation, featuring a bisexual woman and a lesbian, but it's got a proactive and smart butch lesbian and they're shown actually supporting each other and making a really good team. Plus its got like. The perfect ending.
Thelma & Louise is good for starting out as a roadtrip comedy between two jaded wives taking a vacation away from their husbands, but then it quickly turns dark and they end up on the run from the law.
Jennifer's Body, gay as fuck, but also a really entertaining dark comedy horror that ultimately got messed up by the awful advertising.
Carol and Fried Green Tomatoes are good too
Annhilation is underrated in how it not only has all female-leads, but in how it explores the philosophy of self-destruction and the complexities of depression.
It's not inherently sapphic even tho one of the leads is a lesbian.
Also: Gia
Perfect Blue is a great psychological thriller that just nails everything that comes with that genre. And, even while it's about a semi popular celebrity changing her career path and people reacting badly to it, I think a lot of people who use the internet and have people who feel entitled to them simple for orbiting in the same circles can relate to a lot of elements that the protagonist goes through.
Felidae is also a well-written example of human emotions and complexities being applied to animals and it critiques such things at the same time.
Please note that we've tagged the above movies as ADULT for a reason. They can contain distressing and disturbing content. Please view with caution. Thank you. c:

--------------
Seohyun woke up with a groan, her head feeling heavy. She opened her eyes, blinking as the events of last night came to her. San was no longer here though. She checked her phone, and there was a text from him, saying his parents had called him.
After a shower and a cup of coffee, Seohyun sat in front of the television, thinking what she was gonna do. It was Saturday so they had no school, and she'd caught up on her sleep. She wanted to go out, but it was risky. The ghost- that evil, evil thing could turn up anywhere. Plus, she had no idea where Gayoung and Youngjae were.
Seohyun bit her lip as she thought about solving this problem; there was no way this ghost would come to her senses with mere words. It didn't look like she had faith in god anymore too, so a simple exorcism would be difficult. So what could she do? She had never dealt with such a dangerous one before, someone who was hell-bent on killing her.
And this time, it made sense why the ghost wanted to kill her so badly. All the evil ghosts she'd encounter in her life had never had an actual reason to harm her except being angry at life and whatnot. But this woman; what she had said made sense. And if it was true...
She wished there was another mediator she could consult with. But there was the matter of it being an inherited-once-dead thing. She could consult with the shaman she knew. Maybe he could help her communicate with a wise old ghost who'd actually give her a few tips.
The ghost's words rang in her ears: Don't tell me you didn't know? When a mediator dies, there is a short time period during which there is no other mediator in the world. That's when ghosts can do whatever they want; trespass, interact with humans, and much more. She cursed the previous mediators for not making an account of their knowledge and findings. She made a mental note to write a mediator guideline for the next unlucky person.
Seohyun got up, deciding she'd go to the shaman herself. No point waiting; she wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. The shaman was not too far from where she lived. She would take a taxi, just to be safe.
Seohyun was wondering where those two siblings had disappeared off too. She had allowed them to come and go as they pleased; it was unusual for them to be gone so long. Seohyun reached the place where the shaman lived after 10 minutes, getting off and finding the doors locked.
"Just my great fucking luck," she sighed, going to the market right in front of that place and asking if they knew where the shaman had went. She found out he had moved recently. She mentally cursed herself for not keeping his business card with her; she would have to go home and check if she still had it. She usually made some other use of business cards, such as making airplanes and boats out of them. Her origami was going to be the death of her.
Seohyun was just calling for taxi when she felt her heart sink in, realizing the evil ghost was near. She quickly stepped into property instead of hanging around the street, but nothing appeared. Maybe she was going insane, finally.
After waiting for two solid minutes, she was about to sit in the taxi when she heard a voice say:
"I saw that pretty boy leave your house in the morning."
Chills ran down her spine as she finally met her eyes with the ghost. "And what of it?"
"I found it interesting that he has the sight. I was wondering how that could help me."
"What do you mean?" Seohyun paused- this was not happening.
"He can see me. He thought he saw me in the morning but I hid. So I, with the help of those two kids who were too scared to disobey me, led him somewhere. And if you are a decent human, you'd follow me."
"You're lying."
"Go ahead and check if I am," she countered.
With a wildly beating heart, Seohyun pressed call, once, twice, thrice. He was not picking up. She texted in the group chat if anyone had been in contact with San since today. And everyone replied they hadn't.
Seohyun sighed in defeat as she said, "Lead the way."
The woman howled with laughter, making Seohyun grit her teeth and want to strangle her, but she walked, taking her god knows where. Seohyun tried to ask if she really wanted to kill her, and if so, why wasn't she already doing it. Why wait?
They were out in a clearing, near the expressway where cars and trucks rushed in full speed. What was she gonna do, attempt a ritual? Seohyun didn't understand.
"Just tell me where San is. And don't even think about hurting me. You want me, you have me."
"Oh dear," the woman walked towards her, and Seohyun tried to keep her calm as she grew closer, circling her once before whispering in her ear, "I don't have you. Not yet."
Seohyun winced at her foul breath, the woman raking a nail across her neck, drawing out blood. "I can't give you a mortal wound. I can only hurt you so much. That's why you mediators have it so easy."
Even if Seohyun's neck was on fire from the pain, she felt a spark of hope in her heart. That would mean she could run- she could escape.
"But that doesn't mean I can't do it indirectly," the ghost smiled, baring her brown teeth, and it was the evilness in her eyes that made Seohyun gasp as she realized.
She had been stupid- but she had no guarantee that San was safe. That Gayoung and Youngjae were safe. She couldn't run, not exactly. The woman flicked her hand, and Seohyun winced at the sound of a car crashing. She turned sharply; the car had hit the truck. The car had crashed the other way, but the truck-
It was tumbling and was coming right for her- unnaturally.
Seohyun forgot about everything else and ran, but somehow the woman was able to control the movement of the truck. She jumped in an attempt to dodge, the woman was cornering her. She had no choice but to step on the road, but one of the speeding cars failed to dodge the crashed car and struck it, skidding across the road and hitting Seohyun with a tremendous force that sent her flying before her head hit the traffic barrier and everything went black.
The woman laughed even as she cried out in pain. She had emptied the last of her powers on this crash, and she screamed as she felt herself burn from the inside out. But Seohyun was surely dead- she had to be. If she was dead, this wouldn't happen to her.
The woman screamed one last time before disappearing into thin air- this time for good. But it was no good now. Seohyun lay unconscious on the road, bent in a painful angle as people surrounded her and called an ambulance. A student checked her pulse; it was growing weaker by the second.
Seohyun was rushed to the hospital as soon as the ambulance arrived; her heart flatlined once before she was revived again, having escaped death from a hair's breadth. She was put on hold for her surgery as they called her mother for consent.
Her mother had rushed into the hospital- face streaked with tears. She had only had time to touch her face once before she was taken to the operating room, and she sat on the waiting chair, motionless. Her friend, Aunt Yuri that Seohyun had always liked, had comforted her mother, making her drink water and relax a bit. All they could do was pray.
Seohyun's phone, which was now in Yuri's hand, rang. It was Yunho. Yuri picked the phone, inquiring if he was a friend, and when he assured her that he was indeed a close friend, Yuri revealed the accident to him.
Yunho had almost dropped his phone as he heard, terror washing over him as he realized it must have been the evil ghost's doing. He washed his face, sighing as he tried to control his trembling hands. He was not ready to lose a friend.
Yunho called and told each of their friends individually, keeping San for the last, frowning when he did not pick up. He decided to go to his home and check. Before he reached his home, he found San walking outside the house as if looking for someone.
"San, hey," Yunho rushed to him, "Why weren't you picking the phone?"
"I lost it, but then Gayoung and Youngjae admitted they had hidden my phone. I was just going after them; I don't know why they'd done so. What's wrong?"
Yunho bit his lip as he thought of how to reveal it to him. He told him then; Seohyun had been in an accident, and she was under surgery now. They weren't sure if she was gonna make it.
San put a hand to his head, shaking his head in disbelief. "Was it- is it because of the ghost?"
"Not sure," Yunho said, "But seeing how Gayoung and Youngjae hid your phone, it must be. Seohyun was trying to contact you all day."
"Shit. Shit!" San punched the air in frustration, his lip trembling. How had it come to this?
"Which hospital is she in? I need to go."
So Yunho and San took a taxi to the hospital, and Yunho kept a hand on San's trembling one the whole ride. He seemed intent to keep his calm. When they arrived, they asked the reception for Seohyun and rushed to the floor she was in. They saw two women right outside the operating room, and figured it had to be Seohyun's mother and her friend who'd picked the phone. They sat on a distance, and San put his head in his hands as they waited.
Yuri, who had noticed the two boys, came towards them, asking if one of them was indeed Yunho. "We're praying for the best, but the doctors say it's risky. You both should head home, this surgery might take a while."
"It's fine," San finally said, "I'll wait."
Yuri raised a brow but then nodded, saying she was going to grab some coffee for Seohyun's mother and she'd grab some for them too. After drinking and some comforting from both sides, having found Seohyun's mother fallen asleep, the boys decided to get some air.
They walked in the hospital garden which was pretty big, lit by several lamps, and some of the patients could be seen sitting or walking. San's eyes were on the ground; he was afraid if he looked up he'd cry.
Yunho patted San's back and he put his face in his hands, sighing. He'd never imagine this. And the way Seohyun had been last night, so scared, he should have known. The things she said, he should have believed it wasn't just her being paranoid.
Hongjoong and Seonghwa came along with Yeosang; the rest lived too far away and couldn't join at this hour. Yeosang looked visibly pale and he kept rubbing his hands as if he felt cold. Upon asking, Yunho told them she was still in surgery, and yes, her mom was here with a friend too.
They sat in the garden. Seonghwa had bought some sandwiches from home; he knew some of them wouldn't have had dinner yet.
"You should eat, San," he said, "We don't know how long the surgery is gonna be. It's no good if you're on an empty stomach." He handed him a sandwich and San halfheartedly nibbled on it. The rest of them were pretty much silent too, at loss for words. They found comfort in just being together.
After finishing, they decided to go up and check the situation and maybe go back home to sleep. San dusted his clothes as he walked, and stopped dead in his tracks as he heard a familiar voice call his name.
"San."
The rest of them paused, looking back at San, whose eyes were wide with terror. "What's wrong?" Hongjoong asked.
San dreadfully turned back as if not quite believing, and the water bottle he'd been holding slipped out of his hand.
It couldn't be.
In front of him was Seohyun, unscratched, smiling sadly.
She was a ghost.
-----------------
"Seohyun?"
San couldn't believe his eyes. Seohyun stood unscratched in front of him, but it was not her. It couldn't be. She was in an accident, how could she be in front of him like this?
A cry of pain escaped from Yeosang as he realized, covering his ears as if that could mean he was wrong. Hongjoong and Seonghwa looked at each other, and Yunho stepped towards San, stopping when he found him staring in the distance.
"How are you... here?" San managed to ask, walking towards her, but she took a step back, leaving San's hand dangling in the air. His brows were furrowed in a pained expression.
"I don't know, San," Seohyun said, smiling sadly. San went for her abruptly, and his hand went through her.
"No... This can't be...." San's knees gave out and Yunho rushed to him, massaging his back as tears finally escaped his eyes. He sat down, his face in his hands, now almost touching the ground. Seohyun bent near him as if she could touch him.
"It's my fault," San sniffed. Yunho wiped his eyes, looking back Hongjoong- pale with shock, Seonghwa clinging to him, holding Yeosang's trembling hand.
"It's not your fault. It's that witch's fault. And you have to listen-"
"It's mine," San whispered. Seohyun bit her lip as she began to speak but was cut again as he said, "I'm sorry I didn't pick your phone."
"I know what happened, don't worry-"
"I'm sorry-"
"CHOI SAN LISTEN TO ME FOR A SECOND!" Seohyun shouted and San jerked, forcing his head up to face her. "I don't think I'm dead. Not fully, at least. You have to go and ask the details."
"What do you mean? You're a ghost, doesn't that mean-"
"Maybe not. Please do that."
San nodded, explaining to the others that there was a possibility she was alive, though it did not make sense to him. They started walking to the building, and Seohyun said, "And please wipe your faces. Don't show that you know anything. I don't want my mom to know that I'm a ghost, even if I'm dead."
San winced at that but did so, and they went upstairs in the waiting area, where Seohyun's mother was crying. Yuri was patting her back but looked okay. Upon seeing San and Yunho with other friends, she whispered something to Seohyun's mother, who casted a glance at them and nodded, and Yuri walked to them.
"Seohyun's alive for now. She's in a coma. The surgery was successful but this was unavoidable, so we can expect her to return sometime within 3 months or more, depending on Seohyun now. Can't say anything about that. You guys should go home. They'll let you see her tomorrow."
Seohyun sighed in relief despite herself, and the boys finally managed a smile and asked San if she was here. San nodded, looking at Seohyun. She smiled happily now for San's sake, but he was still gloomy.
"You're gonna smile back or I'm gonna haunt you in your dreams, Choi San."
San let out a short laugh. "I guess you can do that now. Let's go out."
They went to an empty street and San asked Seohyun what had happened. She told him how the woman had used San as a bait for her to call her out. San told her that Gayoung and Youngjae had only taken his phone, assuring her he'd been home all day. Seohyun assured him it was still not his fault, that sooner or later this would've happened.
"So where's the ghost now? If you're still alive, won't it come after you again?" Seonghwa asked.
"I'll have to ask around," Seohyun said. "I can actually teleport now. I'm gonna try and find Gayoung and Youngjae. They must have been pretty scared if they did her bidding."
"Stay safe, Seohyun," San said, and Seohyun brought her hand near his face as if she meant to touch him.
"I will. Don't worry. Go home guys, I'll see you tomorrow."
"Yeah, we'll tell the others too now," Yunho said, "They'll be shocked."
"San, please tell Yeosang to stop trembling. I'm alive!"
San looked at Yeosang. He still seemed pale and his hands wouldn't stop shaking. So he did what Seohyun would have done for him; took his hands in his own, telling him it was alright. Seohyun was alive.
"I just can't believe it," Yeosang said, "For a second- when you said her name- I thought-"
"Yeah, I know, me too," San admitted. "It's alright. She's okay."
They waved her goodbye as they went home, and Seohyun cursed as loudly as she could, now that no one could hear her. Then she decided it was time to teleport to that hill, Gayoung and Youngjae must be given an earful.
She closed her eyes shut and imagined being sucked into space. The familiar tingling sensation ran from the top of her head to the tip of her toes; one moment she was here and the next, cold wind hit her face. She was there.
She peeked into the 'cave', basically a home to the ghost siblings. She found them sitting with their knees close to their chest. It was crazy how much they were like each other.
Seohyun cleared her throat and walked in, and the two of them stumbled back, almost falling.
"Are you alive?
"Are you dead?"
"Neither," Seohyun replied, "I did not know going into a coma would make me a ghost."
"Seohyun, I am so sorry-"
"Don't," Seohyun put a hand in the air, shutting them up. "Just tell me what made you do this."
"She threatened to hurt our parents. She knew where they lived. They're who we're staying here for, if she hurt them... I'm sorry," Gayoung looked down in shame.
"She actually asked us to 'take care' of San. We didn't promise her anything, just that he wouldn't interfere," Youngjae added.
"Well, thank you for that," Seohyun smiled, sitting near them. "It must have been hard for you both."
The two of them looked at each other, on the verge of crying.
"I swear if a tear falls down your faces, I'm personally gonna kick you out of this ghost realm."
Gayoung laughed a little, quickly wiping her eyes, and Youngjae did the same. They were just kids, Seohyun thought. They shouldn't have had to think it was their fault or anything.
"But what happened with the witch?" Seohyun asked.
"After she thought she killed you, we saw her screaming. We had just teleported to you when we sensed you were in danger. She just... vanished. And this time I mean like dissipated in the air like ashes. I guess she died again..." Youngjae said.
"Wow. Serves her right!" Seohyun sighed in relief.
"Did you meet San?" Gayoung asked and Seohyun nodded, looking grim.
"I don't think you should leave him alone tonight. He's gonna take this badly."
Seohyun's heart sank. She was right. Seohyun expected San to be alright, but that was just her own expectation. She wasn't actually so sure he would be.
"I don't know where he lives," Seohyun said.
"We'll take you to her," Gayoung said, holding out her hand to her and squeezing it, muttering an earnest thank you. Seohyun nodded, and they teleported once again.
It was an average looking house, much like the ones along the whole street. But somehow it felt more like a home than Seohyun's plain house looked.
"Do you think I can enter?" She wondered out loud, and Gayoung grinned.
"You should try. You should be able to since you're a mediator anyway."
Seohyun shrugged, taking a careful step forward. Indeed, she was able to enter. It seemed like she did have special benefits being a ghost. "I feel like I'm intruding."
"Oh he's your boyfriend, just go," Gayoung waved her hand at her, dismissing her as Youngjae grinned, wriggling hi brows at her. The two snickered, waving bye and teleporting back.
Seohyun stood awkwardly at the front door, afraid she'd be intruding their privacy. She paced back and forth, wondering if she should call San, or just go up and give him a little scare in the process. He probably wasn't in the mood for fun and jokes. She'd seen his face when he'd thought she'd die, and it was something she wished she could erase from her memory.
While she was biting her nails in confusion, she heard the front door open, and for a second, she panicked. But it was only San.
"I saw you from my window," he said, holding the door open, "Come in."
Seohyun bit her lip and nodded, entering. San closed the door behind him and led her upstairs. They went past his sister's room before entering his. Seohyun looked around, his love for plushies obvious by his large collection.
"Which one is Shiber?" Seohyun asked.
"That one," San pointed at the bed. It was a shiba plushie. San slept with it, it seemed.
"Poor thing," Seohyun grinned. San gave her a little smile as he motioned for her to sit. He sat on his bed and Seohyun brought the chair close. "Not how I thought I'd come to your home."
San shook his head, looking down. Seohyun almost leaned forward to touch him until she realized she couldn't. "Are you okay?"
"I'm not, to be honest," San began, meeting eyes with her, "I really thought you... were dead. When you appeared like that. I'm still not over that feeling."
Seohyun felt guilty. She'd found herself a ghost at the site of the accident, right when they were taking her to the hospital. She'd made it there, but she couldn't bring herself to step inside the hospital. She'd spotted San and Yunho from there. "I'm sorry."
"Oh no, you don't have to be," San shook his head, "Not your fault. I just wish I could... touch you right now. Hold you so I'd know you're real and it's not me going crazy."
"I know San," Seohyun almost whispered, "Me too."
They looked at each other sadly, and Seohyun put her hand in front of him, and for a moment San thought she was gonna ask for a high-five. "Put your hand here," she said.
San put his hand forward, and before he could touch, Seohyun pulled hers a little back. "No touching. Just... close. Like this," she put their hands close until there was only a hair's breadth of distance between them. San could have swore he could feel her warmth.
She smiled at him and drew her hand back. "The sibling duo was threatened by that bitch too. I feel sorry for them."
"That explains," San thought, "they didn't seem the type to just turn away like this."
"They apologized thoroughly. But it's okay now. It's only a matter of waking up from that coma... If I can make it."
"Keep your hopes up," San scolded and she smiled sheepishly. "How do you feel though? I mean, now that you're... a ghost. Does it feel any different that being a human?"
"I don't exactly feel weird inside," Seohyun realized, "But there does seem to be something different about this world now. It's like there's a veil over my eyes. Everything is a little cloudy now. Like I have bad eyesight."
"Does that mean you can't see me clearly?" San wondered.
"No, it's like there's a filter now. You know like the ones in the camera where you can decrease the clarity? That's how it feels. Weird."
San nodded. "Will you sleep?"
"I honestly don't know," Seohyun admitted. "I'll watch you sleep though. Maybe that might put me to sleep."
"I don't think I can sleep with you watching me," San huffed. Seohyun let out a short laugh and asked, "Do you want me to go?"
"No- stay. Please," he said, getting up to turn off the lights so there was only light from the little lamp on his desk. He lied down on his bed, facing her, watching her as she stood by the window, peeking out.
She was a ghost, San thought. He wanted her to wake up as soon as possible. He wasn't sure if he could live if Seohyun, god forbid, died and remained a ghost. He couldn't even imagine it.
As if sensing his thoughts, Seohyun turned, staring at him for a moment, those cheekbones pronounced in the shadows. She walked towards him slowly as he watched, and dropped to her knees in front of him, resting her head on the little space on the bed near San, and he crouched too, until they faced each other. She tested once, let her hand hover over his, putting it on top of him- but it passed through, making San shiver a little. So she drew her hand a bit back, until it almost touched at the fingertips.
They stared at each other, and San's eyelid drooped, shutting as he fell asleep. Seohyun closed her eyes too.
--------------------
Seohyun must have actually fell asleep because when she awoke, when she opened her eyes, she was not in San's room but in front of her body, lying still with tubes coming out of everywhere. Her mother was sleeping rather uncomfortably on the sofa.
Her mother. She looked disheveled, and it made Seohyun gasp a little with surprise. She had always seen her so composed, so calm and full of control. She couldn't bring herself to go to her mother when she'd seen her crying of relief, back when they'd heard that her surgery had been successful.
She was glad that her Aunt Yuri had kept her company. She would have to thank her when she woke up. If she ever did. Seohyun shook her head, ridding herself of such thoughts.
Seohyun figured this was where she was gonna wake up every time she slept. She peeked out of the window to see that it was already morning. She felt like she hadn't slept at all, which was weird.
Her mother groaned, rubbing her eyes as she woke up. She looked like she had forgotten for a moment where she was, and as she took in her surroundings, Seohyun saw realization hit her as she jerked violently.
Her mother stared at her for a long while, before sighing and throwing her head in her hands. She thought her state must have been a nuisance for her ever-busy mother, but then she saw the tears fall down her mother's eyes as she hastily wiped at them.
She fell back on her seat, laughing, probably at the situation. And then she spoke:
"When your dad left me, I thought nothing could break me anymore."
Seohyun's eyes went a little wide at the sudden mention of her dad, who had passed away due to his heart problem a little after Seohyun's birth. Her mother had told her fragments of her life with him; they had met at work and fallen in love, spending a few years together before marrying and having a daughter.
"Your dad... he had my whole heart. So you can't blame me for my lack of love because it went with him to the grave. I tried loving you, and I thought it would be very hard. But somehow... I didn't even realize that I already loved you, way before you were born. I loved the thought of you."
Seohyun's heart sank. She thought she was invading her privacy by hearing all this... But technically, her mother was talking to her, wasn't she?
"I realize now. Now that you're looking like your dad in his last moments, I realize how afraid I am to lose you. If you followed him, I'd just be an empty shell."
Seohyun wanted to hug her mom and tell her it was alright. She wanted to give her a sign that she was here... but she figured it would do more harm than good.
"I hope you come back, Seohyun. My little girl. I promise to be a better mother, just- come back."
Seohyun's eyes shone with silver as she smiled at her mother's word. So her mother really did love her. She watched as she got up, straightening her clothes. "I'm going to distract myself until you're back. And then I will give you all the time in this world. Take you where you want to. Act like a proper mother that I should have done years ago. I'm- I'm sorry for not doing that earlier."
She walked to Seohyun's body, planting a kiss on her forehead and Seohyun could have sworn she felt a tingle of it too.
Her mother left after smiling at her, and Seohyun inhaled. She needed to distract herself too.
------------
"I'm making a video of this, and no one is gonna stop me."
"What if someone sees it, Yeosang?" Hongjoong asked, shaking his head.
"I don't care," he replied as he did exactly as he had said. Make a video of Seohyun drumming furiously.
Except you could not see Seohyun and it looked like the drums were playing itself.
"I could start a YouTube channel and earn money from videos like these," he smirked.
"If you start earning money because I'm on the borderline of death," Seohyun had stopped drumming now, "I'll actually haunt you for the rest of my life."
San, who was watching the whole thing while sulking on the sofa, told Yeosang exactly what she had said.
"Good. At least I'll have company for the rest of my life."
Seohyun threw the drumstick, aiming for his head, and it hit home as he yelled in pain, a few colourful words escaping his mouth.
"You deserved it," Hongjoong laughed. Yeosang threw the drumstick back and Seohyun caught it, putting it down. She was done playing. She took the notebook they'd given her for communication and wrote: If I do end up dying, I'll help you all make money. At least I'll still be useful after death, you morons.
She held the notebook for them to read, trying to hide the view from San, but he ended up peeking too, and shook his head again, sulking even more.
"Back with her death jokes," Hongjoong looked at the book with disapproval.
Seohyun threw the book back at the table and came to sit with San, mirroring his sulking position. "It's so boring to have only you to actually talk to, no offence."
"Some taken," San said, "Be grateful I can see you. Imagine if I hadn't followed you that day."
"Actually grateful for that," Seohyun grinned. A ghost of smile crept on his face.
She heard the door of the warehouse open as the rest of them arrived. "Is Seohyun here?" Wooyoung asked, looking worried.
Hongjoong said yes, and he looked around saying, "Wherever you are, I'm so sorry about the accident, Seohyun. I don't want you to die, please come back! I can't lose you!"
Seohyun picked the pillow and threw it with considerable force at Wooyoung, who screamed and Mingi laughed. "Glad to see you're in good spirits."
"Are you okay though?" Jongho asked, having realized she must be sitting with San, "Does it... hurt or anything?"
San told them she said it was fine, it was just like being alive except no one can see her anymore which is making her sad and bored. He skipped the part where she had said that San was kinda boring these days too.
"Glad to hear," Wooyoung put the bag of snacks on the table. "I bought snacks, but... can you eat?"
Seohyun decided it was time to test that theory. She hadn't felt the need to eat, but she supposed theoretically she should be able to eat. She picked a packet of chips and opened it, the rest of them watching her curiously. She picked one in her hand, and then slowly put it in her mouth.
She could eat.
She danced in victory, making the rest of them laugh as Yunho hooted, "Time to loot the stores!"
"Nice idea!" She yelled back, coming back to sit with San, offering him some. He refused first but she made him open his mouth and put one in it. "This feels good. It's like being able to touch you."
San smiled. He felt that too.
Seohyun got up, going to Seonghwa and waiting for him to open his mouth. He was confused for a second but then opened, and Seohyun put the chip in his mouth. "This feels weird," he muttered, but smiled.
One by one, Seohyun put chips in their mouths, making them laugh. Yeosang filmed the whole thing, saying he was gonna make a compilation video once she was back.
San watched her with a curious look in his eyes. She had been acting a bit... different. More cheerful than she should have been. Or maybe he was too gloomy? When Seohyun came back, San folded his arms. "Did something... happen today?"
Seohyun got quiet for a second before she told him about how she had heard her mom talk to her. San wished he could hug her. Even though she sat right next to him, she felt so distant. His heart ached.
"At least now you know for sure that your mother does love you, in her own way."
"I suppose so," Seohyun sighed, folding her arms, watching Mingi and Wooyoung have a little brawl over who was better at drums, "I haven't ever seen her like that. Makes me want to not... die. Not that it's in my control anymore."
"Don't think like that," San turned towards her, "Your willpower is important."
"Is it?" Seohyun countered, and San narrowed his eyes. "I'll have to test that theory-"
"Do not even THINK of trying something reckless-" His voice was raising.
"I'd like to see you stop me-"
"HEY!" San got up abruptly, and everyone turned to look at him, "Does your life mean nothing to you?"
Seohyun instantly got deja vu. He'd said something like this before too. She stared at him as he groaned and pinched his nose bridge in frustration, pacing back and forth and then stopping again. "I thought your life meant something to you now. You had friends- you had us. We love you and care about you so much. I care about you so much. Your mother does. But all you care about is yourself?"
"San-" Blood rushed to Seohyun's cheeks as she realized, "I didn't mean-"
"You did mean it, Seohyun," San sighed, "I- I thought you finally had something to live for."
"San, I do. Believe me, I do."
San looked at her, shaking his head, and Seohyun felt like she could disappear. "Think about it, Seohyun."
He turned and started to go, and Seohyun grabbed his hand- or tried to- but it passed right through.
"I need some time to clear my head," he muttered as he left.
Everyone watched San leave the warehouse, and their eyes went back to where San had been standing, where Seohyun now stood. She felt disappointed in herself. She slumped down on the sofa, the others realizing she was still here.
"What was that about?" Seonghwa asked out loud. Seohyun just clenched her hair as she groaned loudly, cursing herself, glad nobody could hear her right now.
Hongjoong came and sat near Seohyun, saying, "If you want to talk about it, I'm here."
Seohyun thought it was sweet of him. He'd brought the pen and notebook too, placing it in between them. Seohyun took it, scribbling in it.
I messed up big time
Hongjoong read it, scooting a little closer, the notebook seemingly in her lap. She wrote again:
I'm a disappointment to San.
Hongjoong shook his head, "You're not. Trust me, you're not." He took a deep breath, having figured out what the fight was about. "I know you've had it rough, and you're not used to all these new relations. But whatever happened, you can set it right. San won't stay angry, but he'll be truly disappointed if you don't."
Seohyun thought about, and didn't realize her tears were falling on the notebook. Hongjoong could see it.
"You haven't cried since the accident, right? You're very brave, Seohyun."
Seohyun laughed a bit as she realized, making her cry even harder. She scribbled Thanks in the notebook, putting it aside. She knew what she had to do. Apologize.
She got up, walking towards the piano. Seating herself, she tested the keys, giving everyone a little scare before she started to play.
It was the piece Joon Hyuk had taught her. It was utterly sad but beautiful, and it had took her months to get better at it. As she played, she realized her muscle memory was better now. So she lost herself in the sadness of it, her fingers dancing on the keyboard.
When she was finished, she opened her eyes, breathing. it took her a good minute to come back to reality, and when she did, everyone was staring at her. Or the piano.
"Tell me someone got it on their phone," Yeosang mumbled.
Seohyun threw her head back and laughed out loud as she watched the boys fight over why no one took the liberty of filming this moment.
-----------------
That night, Seohyun was pacing in the park near San's house, wondering how she should make things right. A simple 'sorry' wouldn't suffice. She wished she could touch him, hug him. Maybe that would have put more depth to the apology.
She was out of options. And as she was muttering to herself about how much of a bitch she had been, San came walking in, stopping abruptly when he saw her still pacing and cursing. She hadn't noticed yet. So he shook slightly with laughter as he heard her rather colourful vocabulary.
Seohyun sighed, looking up, and finally saw San, her heart sinking to her feet. "Gosh, you gave me a scare," she put a hand to her heart as she breathed.
"It's not like you can die of a heart attack now," San said.
Seohyun paused, narrowing her eyes at him. "Excuse me?"
San shrugged, but lost his demeanor as he finally laughed. "Oh how the tables have turned!" Seohyun gasped, kicking a pebble at him, glad when it struck his leg and he winced.
She gave him a long look. "Are you okay?"
"I am," San said, motioning to the swings and they took one. As they bobbed lightly, Seohyun finally took a deep breath and said, "I am sorry, San."
"For what?" he asked, looking at her.
"For everything," Seohyun said. "I've been a terrible friend."
"No you're not," he smiled. "I just wish you'd give yourself more credit. You don't have to apologize to me. You should be apologizing to yourself."
"Damn, that's poetic," Seohyun said and she could've sworn she heard San mutter 'insufferable', but he still laughed. "Alright. I'll give myself more credit. I won't make death jokes again too."
"Now what would Seohyun be without her death jokes?"
"That is a very valid point," Seohyun smiled. "Alright, I'll just... be a better person. You know."
It seemed like San was enjoying her struggle to find words. "I know what?"
Seohyun's jaw tensed. "Be glad I can't hit you, San."
San smirked.
That cocky little-
Seohyun got up, searching for something to throw at San, who just laughed loudly as he ran away from her.
---------
Days passed. Weeks passed.
A month passed- yet Seohyun was not awake.
Every morning, Seohyun awoke at the hospital, no matter where she slept. She had made the warehouse her home now, since going back to her house was just a reminder that she was not alive, but not dead either.
She wasn't sure how she felt about this situation. The first few days, everyone had been super sensitive about what they said in front of her. But now, everyone was busy with school too. So Seonghwa advised her to attend school too, to not get behind her studies. But Seohyun said that technically, she was still in hospital which meant she could skip school now.
It took her one day without them, bored out of her mind, and she decided that yes, she would go to school too.
So everyday, she sat in her seat, not really paying attention to the lectures but still feeling like she was a part of this world. A part of the living.
And she'd help a lot of ghosts too. Ghosts didn't find her like they did when she was alive, but occasionally she'd stumble upon a lost ghost and help them out, saying she was 'experienced' in helping the fellow-dead.
She was out helping a ghost, a little girl barely 7 years old. She missed her mom and was still hanging on because she had to give her mom a gift, she had promised to. Seohyun's heart went out for the little girl, and she decided to help her.
Seohyun took the girl to her own house, and the little girl went 'wow' when she realized she could touch things now. So Seohyun gave her a nice page and colour pencils while the girl made a drawing. The gift to her mom.
Seohyun hadn't been home in quite a while now. She walked around her room, memories of San and Jiwoo coming to her mind. She smiled as she took the painting of Jiwoo in her hands.
"I'm done!" The girl said, and Seohyun placed the painting back, going to the desk.
"So your name is Yerim?" She asked and Yerim nodded. She had made a cartoon of herself and her mom, labelling it.
"That is a beautiful drawing, Yerim. I'm sure your mom would love it."
Yerim smiled and Seohyun pinched her cheeks. "Now let's give that to your mom."
Yerim guided her to her home, and they went inside, deciding to hide the painting in Yerim's room so when her mom would come, she'd find it, and think she had already made it before she died.
"Thank you, unnie!" Yerim hugged Seohyun and she marvelled at the feeling. She hadn't touched anyone since she'd been a ghost.
Seohyun picked the girl in her arms. "You're so light!" Yerim laughed and hugged her again. They got out of the house, walking randomly, Yerim still in her arms. The black cat started following them too.
"The cat can see you?" Yerim asked.
"Oh yes. When I was... alive, it was my friend. It's still my friend when I'm ghost."
"That's cool," Yerim said as she waved at the cat.
Seohyun asked, "Now that you have done what you stayed here for, you should go now. There's a better world, where you'll wait for your mom. She'll be there soon."
"Will she?" She asked and Seohyun nodded.
"Can we go to the park over there? I used to come there to play with my mom. It has so many flowers too."
"Of course," Seohyun looked at where she had pointed. The park was full of kids and their parents, playing around. "That's a nice place."
Seohyun dropped Yerim and she asked if she would be able to touch the cat. She squealed in surprise when she could.
"What's the name of this cat?"
"Ah. I haven't named it yet..." Was it Shiber or Byeol?
"You can call it Yerim!"
Seohyun paused. She got the strange urge to stretch her cheek.
"You're very cute, Yerim. I'll call her that," Seohyun smiled.
Yerim nodded, looking at the kids, and Seohyun watched her fade away. Feeling the sudden urge to cry, she shook her head and motioned for the cat to follow her.
After roaming around aimlessly, Seohyun reached the warehouse, finding it utterly dark. Not even the usual light was on.
"Where did everyone go?" She muttered, turning to go out, almost jumping out of her skin when she heard what sounded like a blast.
It was a party popper.
"Happy birthday!"
Seohyun turned to find everyone clapping and holding a cake, the only light in the room from the candles. San was laughing at Seohyun's horrified expressions. She truly had forgotten that it was her birthday. She shook her head, laughing.
"You guys, you're- how did you plan this?"
"It took us days to plan," San admitted, and Wooyoung said, "We had to think of a way you'd be busy today."
"But I was busy today because- no way. No way!" Seohyun looked at San in disbelief and he nodded. "I found her before you did and asked her to keep you busy. She was more than happy to."
"Wow," Seohyun shook her head, pinching her nose bridge but smiling at the effort.
"Blow the candles," Seonghwa said, and Yeosang took to his filming.
Seohyun felt strangely happy as she blew her candles, not bothering to make a wish. Hongjoong turned on the lights and she looked around, noticing the various gifts lying in the corner, and her favourite dishes on the table.
San led them to the table, where she cut the cake and made everyone take a bite from her hands. She couldn't thank them enough; this was the first time she had a surprise- or even a celebration.
"I wish the circumstances were different," Seohyun sighed.
San told them what she said and Yunho answered, "It doesn't feel any different. Only we can't see or hear you, so we have to visualize. Oh, and we get more jump-scares now."
Seohyun laughed, and they dug into the food.
After they all were done, they asked her to unwrap her gifts. So Seohyun grabbed the largest one first, which was from Yunho. It was a school bag, with space for laptop too.
"I noticed yours was kind of worn out," Yunho grinned. Seohyun scribbled on the notebook, saying 'Thank you for noticing! :)'. The others applauded him for the approval.
The next one was from Mingi. It was a beautiful leather band watch, which she loved, saying she wished she could put it on right now, and wondering for a moment that if she did, where would it go when she was back?
Yeosang had gifted her some chocolates from abroad, conveniently his father had been out of country. And since he knew her love for chocolate was one to be appreciated, he decided on it. Seohyun almost cried when she spotted her favourite ones.
"I do have another gift, but you'll have to wait for it," he admitted. Seohyun narrowed her eyes, scribbling 'It better be worth it' and moving on to the next.
Jongho had given her a scented set; shampoo, lotion and candle. Hongjoong got her a cap and sunglasses, rather stylish, and Seohyun had to admit she was impressed by his choice. Seonghwa had gifted her a black cat plushie- very, very similar to Yerim the cat. Seohyun admitted it might be her favourite gift. Wooyoung had gifted her a set of earrings, and she appreciated that it was just her taste. And San got her a couple ring, making everyone including herself gasp when they saw it.
"I didn't know what to get..." San scratched the back of his neck.
"No, I love it. It's so pretty!" It was just her style; a silver band with a tiny diamond in the center. Seohyun tried it on, showing it to San excitedly who laughed, approving. He wore his own too.
"Aw, this is so sweet. Except it looks like San proposed to himself," Wooyoung said, earning a smack from Seonghwa.
Seohyun took it off, handing it to San. "I'll wear it when I'm back."
"You wanna go for a walk?" San asked, and she nodded, getting up and asking him to convey her thanks to everyone, that they should keep this stuff here and she'll properly receive them and thank them when she was back.
After everyone said goodbye, San and Seohyun started walking aimlessly around, San telling her how it had taken them a whole week to plan, which included panicking over gifts too. Since it was their first time with Seohyun, it was more difficult to decide on what she'd like.
"I would have loved anything you gave me, even if it was stupid. I appreciate the gesture more."
"I know," San smiled at her. Seohyun was looking at him with a smile on her face, taking in the details on his pretty face, that she didn't notice a bike rushing and on its way to hit her.
Of course she wouldn't get hit, but out of impulse, San grabbed her by the arm and dragged her to the side, "Even if you're a ghost, you should be careful-"
"How- how did you did you just touch me?"
San looked at her, then looked down at his hands, then looked at her again. "Did I?"
Seohyun frowned. Slowly, taking a step towards him, she touched his face, and they sucked in their breath.
She could touch him.
Seohyun laughed in disbelief, touching his face, feeling every angle and curve of it, and San's hands went to grab her hands, marvelling at the touch. He hugged her, not quite believing it until he could feel her arms around her.
Seohyun broke the hug, joining their foreheads, for a moment forgetting everything else as she kissed him. God, it had been too long. They kissed each other in a frenzy, until San felt like someone dumped water on him and he broke apart.
"How did this happen?"
"I don't know," Seohyun breathed, "I don't know, I-"
Seohyun fell to the ground, clenching her head in her hands as she cried out in pain.
"What's happening?" San asked, panic lacing his voice, and Seohyun muttered that she did not know.
"I think I'm dying," Seohyun said, wincing because of the sharp pain, "Or something's happening. I'm being pulled back. San- I'm scared."
San was sitting down with her now, holding her in her arms, caressing her head, "It's gonna be alright," he said, pressing a kiss to her head, "It's gonna be alright."
He didn't know how long he stayed there comforting her as she breathed and faded. And he did not know how long he stared at the empty space in front of him, where Seohyun had just been.
-----------------
It was utter chaos at the hospital- the doctors and the nurses were rushing around, everyone was borderline panicking. Seohyun was going into shock- her mother was crying hysterically as she watched the doctors go around her in a frenzy. A nurse told her to pray- she would either make it or pass away.
Her mother watched her heart beat flatline and the doctors resuscitate her. Her mother almost fainted as she watched the monitors- she was having flashbacks from the time her husband had passed away. Her friend Yuri came rushing in, leading her outside, rubbing her back and telling her it was better to wait and pray instead of watch what was going on.
Meanwhile, San, who had been staring at the empty space in front of him, where Seohyun had just been, slapped himself to reality and called Hongjoong, quickly telling him what had happened as he rushed through the streets, trying to find a taxi. The boys joined him, their faces pale, and they ran to the main street until they found taxis and drove to the hospital, not being able to calm their loudly thumping hearts.
As soon as they reached the hospital, they looked at each other once, nodding, scared for what they would get to hear. Most of them were trembling now- but they followed each other to the ICU, where they spotted the doctors coming out of the room.
Yunho spotted Yuri and ran to her, "How's Seohyun? What happened to her?"
Yuri narrowed her eyes at Yunho, "How did you know...?"
Yunho internally cursed himself before making up an excuse, "I was passing by here when I heard the doctors call the others to Seohyun's room- I called the rest. It wasn't looking good."
Yuri nodded, "She's okay now. She's awake, in fact. Look," Yuri pointed at the door that was slightly open, and Yunho saw her mother smiling through tears, holding Seohyun's hand, who was smiling too.
Yunho sighed in relief, almost falling on his knees. He thanked Yuri and motioned the rest to join him, and the rest knew it was good news with the smile on Yunho's face. They watched the mother and daughter smile and talk to each other, and they hugged each other in relief, their eyes wet.
Seohyun spotted the group of boys outside, waving at them. The boys waved back and they watched her say something to her mother, who nodded, getting up after kissing her forehead and coming out.
"I never thought Seohyun could have so many friends one day," Her mother smiled at them.
"It's good to meet you," Jongho said, and they bowed in greeting.
"You can meet her now- try not to be too loud," she laughed, waving at them.
The boys walked slowly to her room, taking in Seohyun's appearance- there were shadows under her eyes, a few scars on her face and hands, but her smile was the only thing they could see.
"Come here. I missed you all so much!"
Jongho went first, shaking hands with her, the rest coming one by one, holding back from hugging her or ruffling her hair because of the bandages on her head and everywhere else. They were all a little speechless, having seen Seohyun after so long now.
Even San was speechless- he had seen Seohyun everyday, but not like this.
"I thought you'd be happier to see me," Seohyun looked at San.
"I... I am, I just-" San shook his head, looking down as he trembled from trying to hold back his tears, "I really thought... that you were gone."
Seohyun sighed, pursing her lips. "I have given you all a hard time, haven't I?"
They all shook their heads, Mingi and Wooyoung rubbing San's back who was trying his hardest not to cry but ultimately failed. Hongjoong said they'd give them a moment and they left the room.
"San. Come on, look at me. San!"
San sniffed, wiping his eyes before looking at her. Tears formed in her own eyes and she wiped them.
"I'm so sorry, San. I'm so sorry."
"You don't have to be sorry for anything," San leaned forward, taking her hand in his- it had been too long. "Nothing to be sorry about, except scaring the shit out of me."
Seohyun laughed, "I scared the shit out of myself too, not gonna lie."
"I can't believe you're real," San admitted, bringing her hand to his face, reveling the feeling of her touch, "I am awake, am I not?"
Seohyun slapped his face lightly with her other hand. "Very much awake."
San took his sweet time not saying anything, just looking at her face, his lips on her hand.
"Say something, San. You're being weird."
San shook his head, kissing her hand. "I am never leaving you, ever. Get that in your head. No amount of death jokes are going to scare me away. You're stuck with me now until I die."
Seohyun flushed at the sudden confession. "Are you sure? I can make horrible jokes."
"As sure as I will ever be."
Seohyun smiled until she was laughing, tears running down her face. "God, I love you, San. I'm not leaving you too. Even if you're angry with me, disappointed in me, or whatever, I'll keep bugging you."
"Good to hear," San grinned.
"Come here," Seohyun motioned, and San asked her if it was okay. Seohyun just grabbed his collar and gave him a light peck on his lips.
"I can't hug you right now, but I can do this."
San smiled, returning the favour. They both stared at each other, smiling.
"Now that is a creepy sight I wish I will never see again. Tell me you got that on camera, Wooyoung."
"Right on," Wooyoung replied to Hongjoong, and Seohyun tried throwing her pillow at them, groaning in pain when she turned too harshly. San told her to calm down, throwing the pillow himself.
"It's our turn now, you've been seeing her for months now!" Yeosang shouted, and Seohyun laughed as she watched them push San out of the way, making him sit in the corner and pout while they sat in front of her, taking turns to talk to her.
"How did it feel while you were a ghost?" Wooyoung asked.
"Like I was alive, but not real?"
"Did it hurt when you became a ghost, or when you went back?" Seonghwa asked.
"When I went back, yes, I felt like my head was about to burst-"
"Can you still see ghosts now?" Mingi asked.
"I don't know yet-"
"Let her rest!" Hongjoong clapped once, "We'll have plenty of time to catch up when she comes home."
Seohyun pouted and Hongjoong patted her shoulder, "Glad you're back, Seohyun."
Seohyun smiled, wriggling her brows at him and they all waved at her before leaving, San coming to kiss her hand once before leaving. Seohyun sighed- he was being so soft.
Her mother came in, trying to stifle her smile but failing. "You have many friends now, it seems."
"I do," Seohyun nodded, smiling back, "I have a boyfriend too."
Her mother raised one eyebrow, putting her hands on her hips. "Lee Seohyun! Why didn't you tell me earlier? Which one was he?"
"The one who left last, San."
"Oh," her mother gave her a thumbs up, "How did it happen?"
Seohyun told her to sit because it was a long story, and then told her all about how she had met San, how he was able to see ghosts now too, because of her, and how they, at one point, started liking each other.
"Were you a ghost when you were in a coma?"
Seohyun bit her lip, nodding.
"And these friends knew?"
"They did. San could see me, but he couldn't touch me. At least not until tonight, just before it happened."
Her mother sighed, leaning back. "Is there a reason none of them, and not even you, bothered to tell me that you were a ghost?"
"I wanted to- I slept every night and woke up here, with you. I heard you talk to me. I couldn't break your heart, mom. Not when I wasn't sure if I was going to make it."
"I understand," She nodded, earnest, "How did this even happen?"
"It was an old ghost- a vengeful one. Apparently when you kill a 'mediator'- that's what they call me, there are a few moments before the mediator thing passes to another person. During those moments, ghosts can trespass and interact with humans and whatnot. At least that's what that bitch told me-"
"Language-"
"I'm talking about the ghost who tried to kill me."
"Oh, that bitch, go on."
"So apparently ghosts can't kill the mediators. So she tried doing it to me indirectly, which ended up killing her."
"Good riddance! But I hope you will have stopped seeing ghosts now. I don't want you to get in more trouble," her mother's eyes were full of worry.
"I don't think that happened, but at least nobody will try to kill me now."
The mother and daughter sat thinking for a few moments. Finally, her mother spoke, "You're getting discharged in three days. If you want to take a break from school, if you want to go on a trip, I can do that-"
"Thank you, mom," Seohyun smiled, "I just want to live like I had been living. Normally. We can go somewhere during the New Year holidays if you're free- otherwise, I just want to go to school, spend time with the boys, do normal stuff."
"I took extra days off," her mother nodded, "We can go visit your grandparents in the countryside."
"Sure! I haven't seen them in forever."
"You can go with the boys somewhere if you want to before New Year. I won't be home for Christmas- I have business in Japan. But if you want me home for Christmas-"
"Please, it's really okay, mom," Seohyun nodded furiously, "I won't be alone this time. Just promise you'll be home for New Year."
"I promise," she smiled.
"Done. I'll plan something with the boys."
Three days later, Seohyun was finally discharged, the bandages off her and she felt light. Seohyun took a look in the mirror when she got home- the wounds on her face would fade with time. She was alive, and that was all that mattered.
The boys had paid a visit every night, and it was time for her to return the favour. Seohyun decided she would buy something for them each- a Christmas gift, a gift because she woke up. She told them all to be there at night while she went shopping.
Two hours later, several shopping bags in her hands, she stood outside the warehouse. The air felt incredibly different now that she was alive.
Seohyun closed her eyes, relishing the feel of the wind on her skin, blowing the hair away from her face.
"Home."
------------------
"Hi guys!" Seohyun stood awkwardly, waving the bags in her hands. The boys all turned, hooting as they rushed towards her, and for a moment, Seohyun almost had a heart attack.
"STOP!" She shouted, and they stopped in their tracks, realizing their mistake. "One at a time, okay? Go back and sit."
They obeyed, muttering things under their breath and San approached her, taking some of the bags away from her.
"Can I hug you first?"
"Not fair!" Wooyoung shouted.
Seohyun laughed while San glared at Wooyoung, "We'll have plenty of time later, but here," She gave him a brief hug, sighing into it. It was the first time she was going to hug everyone after the accident.
She had been discharged from the hospital the next night, after the doctors made sure everything was okay. The bandages were off now, mostly. Some scars remained- one running down her temple as well. She had been home the past days, not being able to meet anyone, taking her time to get her energy back, only going out shopping with her mom.
"Alright," Seohyun placed the bags in front of the table where everyone sat, "This is going to be a random pick. I got you all gifts for Christmas, so I'm going to pick a bag. Here-" Seohyun picked one, "Yeosang!"
Yeosang got up haughtily, flipping his hair, motioning at them to applaud and they did, faces grumpy as he approached Seohyun and hugged her, almost picking her up in the air.
"Don't crush me!" Seohyun laughed, and Yeosang finally broke the hug, patting her head.
"We didn't get you anything for Christmas yet."
"You don't need to, you got me enough for the birthday-"
"We'll just give you food then," Jongho suggested.
"Deal," Seohyun winked at him, handing Yeosang the bag. "Open it."
Yeosang looked at her pointedly, opening the box to reveal a small flying drone. Yeosang gasped in surprise and Seohyun looked proud.
"I may have noticed you doodling drones in your notebook."
Yeosang laughed and thanked her, saying she knew him well. Seohyun picked the next bag.
"Seonghwa!"
Seonghwa pumped a fist in the air as he ran to Seohyun, hugging her.
"You hug like my mom does," Seohyun muttered.
"Glad you're back," he said, kissing her temple before he broke the hug. He opened the gift to reveal a set of-
"Hey, how did you know to get me these!" Seonghwa looked at Seohyun in surprise while the others tried to peek at what Seonghwa was holding, who took the boxes out to reveal action figurines. Seohyun smiled as she watched the rest laugh in approval.
"When you guys crashed my first date and took me shopping, I may have noticed you eyeing these in the shop- I don't know what category they are- I just memorized one of the toys of that set and went there and found it, to my relief."
"You're very observant," Seonghwa eyed her and she curtsied, earning another thanks.
"Can I come next?" Jongho said, pointing at the giant bear wrapped messily lying in the corner, "It's a bit too obvious now to pretend I don't see it."
Seohyun bit her lip, trying not to laugh, "Please do."
Jongho smiled, skipping to Seohyun, hugging her such that she was dangling in the air, arms flapping wildly at the side, and then the two skipped to where the bear was- it was about Seohyun's size. Jongho tore the wrappers and laughed-
"You really had to?"
Seohyun smiled at the apple necklace the bear wore- it was a special touch she added to Jongho's gift. "I mean, I could have gifted you a crate of apples-"
Yeosang laughed out loud, causing the others to laugh as well, "The apples wouldn't have lasted a day."
"It's not that bad!" Jongho sulked, dragging the bear to the couch and hugging it, pouting. Seohyun shook her head at him, picking the next bag.
"Yunho!"
Yunho hooted in victory, pausing in front of Seohyun for a second before spreading his arms, and Seohyun gladly hugged him, laughing because she barely reached his shoulders.
"Glad you're back, you dwarf."
"Thanks, you giant puppy," Seohyun shook her head, breaking the hug and handing him the bag. Yunho eyed her before fishing out a long box, unwrapping it.
Seohyun watched as his mouth opened in surprise, and he looked at Seohyun, then back at the boys, then back at her.
"What is it?" Wooyoung asked, "Don't make me get up now-"
"How did you get your hands on this!" Yunho laughed out loud, taking out a wand from the box, "This is Harry's wand, right?"
"Harry's wand!" Mingi wowed, and Hongjoong shook his head, "Isn't this too much! When did you get the time!"
"Actually, this wasn't a Christmas gift," Seohyun admitted, and Yunho looked at her in surprise, "You remember when we talked about Harry Potter all day in school when I was... alive? Before becoming a ghost, I mean-"
"I do," Yunho shook his head, "You're still alive, you know."
Seohyun waved a hand in dismissal, "Anyways, one of mom's friends was in UK, and I had asked her to get me a wand from there, so I asked to bring another."
"I don't know- isn't this too much?" Yunho looked at her hesitantly, and Seohyun rolled her eyes, looking at San who was laughing silently.
"Shut up. Next!" Seohyun announced, ignoring Yunho and picking another bag. "Hongjoong!"
"When is my turn!" Wooyoung wailed loudly, Mingi joining, and Seohyun watched as the two started playing rock papers scissors to bet on who would be next.
"How did you even bring all these here," Hongjoong asked as he hugged her, long and good, "Wasn't it too much trouble?"
"It's okay," Seohyun rubbed his back before they broke apart, and Seohyun handed him the bag. "Here."
Hongjoong looked at her pointedly, "This looks the smallest."
"I can assure you, it was the most expensive-"
"Hey!" Hongjoong laughed, "I'm not opening this."
"Stop being so dramatic, we're waiting!" Wooyoung shouted, Mingi doubling over with laughter.
"I'll do the honours," Seohyun picked the box and tore the wrapper apart. "I had to."
Hongjoong almost dropped the box as he held it- it was headphones- but high quality ones- ones he wish he could have to make him hear the sound betters when he composed in his laptop. "Seohyun-"
"Don't-"
"How can I accept this!"
"You know I could get you better things- my mom's loaded. She was all too glad when I told her that you were the guys I was buying gifts for. Please, Hongjoong, it's not much."
Hongjoong shook his head, "I know it's not much to you, but to us, it is. I'd appreciate it if you don't spend money like that again-"
"Shut up," Seohyun shook her head, "It's my first time getting someone gifts. First time getting someone something meaningful, first time I actually put thought into all of this. First time I was excited. Please," Seohyun wrapped his hands in hers, "Accept it."
"You're gonna make me cry now," Hongjoong laughed, bringing her in for another hug. "Thank you. I won't forget this."
"Thank you for accepting," Seohyun laughed, and Hongjoong went back, flaunting his headphones as he examined them.
"Okay, Mingi, you're next."
Mingi almost fell as he got up in victory, waving his butt at Wooyoung and earning a smack, skipping as he came to Seohyun and hugged her dramatically, picking her and actually making her scream-
"Drop me, you giant!" Seohyun slapped his arms repeatedly, and he finally dropped her, pretending she had hit her too hard. Seohyun slapped his arm again, finally smiling.
Mingi went to where his bag was- finding two boxes- his recent two favourite anime's action figurines.
"You remembered!"
"I also got you the recent volumes!" Seohyun fished out another bag from under the table and Mingi wowed, checking as if he couldn't believe it.
"You have good memory! When did I tell you which volumes I had?"
"Some time in school?" Seohyun smiled, "I didn't know what else to get you- I already gave you the drums, I could have waited till Christmas I guess-"
"Oh come on, they're yours-"
"They're yours now," Seohyun announced, and Yunho started clapping, "I mean, I'm a co-owner. Deal?"
"Deal," Mingi ruffled her hair, thanking her.
"Finally now, it's my time!" Wooyoung came singing, almost running to Seohyun as he crashed into her, spinning her and kissing her forehead, "I cannot tell you how happy I am that you are alive!"
"Even if I was dead," Seohyun began, "I feel like I wouldn't have been able to move on because of you-"
"Hush, now," Wooyoung shook his head, laughing. "Hey, mine is the lightest! Hongjoong!"
Hongjoong was too absorbed in his headphones to respond and San finally got up, telling Wooyoung to hurry up so they could have 'alone time'. Wooyoung unwrapped his gift-
"BTS' ALBUM!"
Seohyun flinched at how loud he was and San came to cover her ears as Wooyoung shouted in surprise and amazement, thanking Seohyun to which she nodded, still flinching as he ran around flaunting the album.
"You brought this upon yourself," San laughed, and Seohyun smiled as Wooyoung crushed her in another hug, thanking her again and again.
"You want me to take it back!"
"NO!"
"THEN SHUT UP!" Seohyun shouted as loudly as Wooyoung who only grinned.
"I knew there was something about you that I just had to make you friend-"
"Anddd that's enough," San slapped the back of Wooyoung's head, "Let's go to dinner after an hour, guys. Meanwhile, I'm stealing her."
With that, San put his arm on Seohyun's back, guiding her out as the boys 'ooh-ed', making her flush. Seohyun couldn't help but smile as San led her out of the warehouse, taking her at the backside where the boys had set up a small place with a tent and couches for when the weather was nice and they wanted to sit out.
"I wish we could go somewhere else, but I don't want to waste this hour," San said, leading her to the couches, pausing to look at her, his hands hesitant as he touched her face, "How have you been?"
"Oh please, it's not like we didn't call at nights the past two days- I'm fine, really."
San touched the scar at her temple, kissing it, making her flush deeper, "I'm glad to hear that."
Seohyun pushed San's chest, "You're being too... mushy."
"Mushy?" San raised an eyebrow, laughing as they sat on the couch, facing each other.
"You're sometimes too romantic for me to handle, you know that?" Seohyun folded her arms.
"I haven't even begun-"
"Exactly what I mean!" Seohyun shook her head, and San laughed, scooting closer.
"Tell me you missed me. Tell me you missed... us."
Seohyun bit her lip, scanning his face- the moonlight making his cheekbones appear sharper, his eyes dark.
"Can't say I didn't," Seohyun sighed, "Let me hug you first."
San brought her closer and she wrapped her arms around him, almost in his lap, her head resting on his chest as she sighed, melting in the embrace. "I definitely missed this. I could sleep right here-"
"Don't you think about sleeping now."
Seohyun smiled, burying her nose in his neck, inhaling the scent of him- it felt like nostalgia, like home. "I never thought I'd appreciate hugs one day- not being in contact for these two months really put me in my place."
San broke the hug, looking at her face, "I could tell. You got Jongho that bear- you know he doesn't really like skin-ship but watch him cling to that bear for the rest of his life. I realized then."
"You're right, I'm surprised you noticed," Seohyun admitted, "He and I are alike in that. I knew he'd love it. Oh, and also, I got you something, but it's not here yet."
"What did you get me?"
"Don't be too surprised when it comes," Seohyun grinned, "I wasn't too sure- yours was the hardest to think of, but it just happened-"
"Please, I'm curious now," San pouted, whining. "I won't be able to stop thinking now that you reminded me-"
Seohyun kissed him to shut him up, breaking apart to look at his reaction- satisfied to see his eyes wide in surprise and then narrow in challenge.
"I guess I could use a distraction. We do have an hour."
Seohyun laughed, kissing him properly this time, taking it slow- it was the first time they were properly kissing since she was back. San held her face delicately, letting her set the pace. Seohyun's hands were more urgent, running through his soft hair, caressing his face, his neck, roaming around his back and chest as they kissed lazily.
"Don't hold me like I'm gonna break, Choi San."
It was all San needed to hear- he kissed her with a force that got her arching back until her back hit the couch itself, and San broke apart to caress her face and draw her hair back.
"I love you, Seohyun. Merry Christmas."
"And I love you, you mountain," Seohyun smiled, "Now kiss me."
The rest of the hour went by as they kissed, murmured sweet nothings as they sat in each other's embrace, or just watched each other, hands caressing hands. The hour went by slow yet it felt like a flash once it was over and they were interrupted with Wooyoung shouting at them to come inside already.
Holding each other's hands, they went inside and sat with the boys to plan where to go for dinner. Yunho looked at the two and burst out laughing, Mingi joining him.
One by one, they all started laughing, leaving San and Seohyun who stared at them. Even Hongjoong and Seonghwa- the serious ones were laughing.
"Did you two only make out during that one hour?" Yeosang shook his head, "Look at how disheveled you both are."
San and Seohyun immediately looked down, but their clothes were straight, and their hair wasn't messed up-
It was only when all of them burst out laughing that the two realized this was a trick- and San covered his face as he laughed while Seohyun gaped at them, getting up in search of something- grabbing a small cushion and running forward to hit them-
"It was Yunho's idea, don't hit me!" Mingi wailed.
"You're still an accomplice," Seohyun laughed as she ran at all of them, hitting them once on their heads to 'get their brains to kick start'. "So what if we only made out? I'll ask you all when you finally have partners, you loners!"
-------------------
It was the first dinner Seohyun had with the boys since coming back to her normal life.
And it was chaotic, to say the least.
People had mistaken them for being a bunch of drunks one too many times, the way they were hollering with laughter and talking about ghosts as loudly as they could. But everything was okay- Seohyun hadn't felt happier in a while.
After a very lavish dinner, they all walked around the town, making fun of each other and playing, and before Seohyun could decide to leave for her home and bid everyone goodnight, Yeosang told her they had one last surprise for her at the warehouse before she went home.
"And why couldn't I get this surprise when we were back at the warehouse just a few hours ago?"
"You'll know why," Jongho teased, "Just come."
Seohyun rolled her eyes, secretly anticipating just what they had in store for her, and followed them to the warehouse.
"We'll be right back- stay here," Wooyoung said, dragging Jongho and Yeosang with him while the rest stood outside, waiting.
"Can I have a hint?" Seohyun folded her arms.
"Uh, nope." Hongjoong was firm.
"Is it something about a musical performance or a dance performance-"
"Can you calm down and wait?" Seonghwa laughed.
"Is this going to be a prank?" Seohyun raised her eyebrow.
"If it was a prank I would have been inside with them," Mingi raised his hand and Seohyun narrowed her eyes at him.
"Me too!" Yunho grinned, and Mingi and Yunho shared a look which set Seohyun pacing due to nervousness.
"Calm down," San laughed, his eyes full of adoration, "You'll love it. It's all I am allowed to say."
Seohyun pouted, eyeing the warehouse, not hearing anything at all. Another minute passed by which Seohyun had scratched near her fingernails out of nervousness when Wooyoung peeked out, giving a thumb up.
"Finally," Seohyun exhaled, and San took her hand in his as they walked inside.
They were greeted by the Siamese cat that Seohyun had gifted San, who finally named her Byeol. Yerim was their stray cat and Byeol was their pet cat, who loved staying inside the warehouse- her home.
Seohyun looked around. Everything was the same, except there was a projector now set up in front of the couches. "Are we watching a movie?"
"A short movie, you could say," Jongho took her other hand, leading her to the couch and making her sit in the middle, San sitting on one side and Yeosang on the other, and Wooyoung made sure everyone was sitting in front of the screen before he put the lights out, grinning as he sat on the floor mat in front of Seohyun. Seohyun playfully kicked his back, earning a slap to the leg.
"Okay, I'm starting it."
Yeosang clicked a button and there was static for a few seconds before music started to play- music she realized was from one of the samples she'd heard from Hongjoong. She raised her brow at him, and he just winked.
Seohyun went back to watching the screen, which went black and then a video clip started playing- she frowned as she realized where it was from- school.
"Hi," Wooyoung said, "I made a new friend today, but she's kind of scary so I don't know when I'll be able to get a proper vlog with her- ow!"
Seohyun smacked Wooyoung's head. The teacher was about to come in. Wooyoung hid the camera and Seohyun said, "I owe you one."
"You owe me nothing-"
"Should I tell the teacher what exactly you were doing?"
"Boomer," Wooyoung muttered.
Seohyun laughed out loud, "I never heard you call me a boomer!" She smacked the back of Wooyoung's head again, and he laughed out loud.
"This is exactly why you didn't hear me!" Wooyoung laughed, rubbing his head.
The clip changed and Seohyun recognized the scene again-
"I win," Yeosang smirked.
"Next game, come on."
Seohyun drew another blank page and the two restarted another game of tic tac toe. This time, Seohyun went first and she won. Seohyun put a line on her tally count.
"This will go on forever," Yunho, who was watching them, said, "Whenever Seohyun goes first, she wins. Whenever Yeosang goes first, he wins. You both have this figured out- why don't you just shake hands and accept the draw?"
"No."
Yunho laughed as the both had glared at him and said no in unison, flipping the page and starting another game. Mingi, who was filming, turned the camera to himself and shook his head.
"They're never gonna stop."
"We did stop," Yeosang laughed, "Only because the teacher came."
"So who won?" San asked.
Seohyun sighed, smiling, "We shook hands and accepted draw."
The scene changed again, and it was from when Seohyun had first seen the warehouse and revealed that she knew how to play the piano- apparently Jongho had caught her playing the melody that she remembered from Hongjoong. It followed by the clips of the truth and dare game they had that night- the one when Seohyun finally told the boys that she could see ghosts. Everyone had a good laugh over it and Seohyun felt nostalgic as she watched Hongjoong's Billie Jeans imitation and Yunho's golden retriever. Seohyun had stopped them from filming the ghost evidence back then.
The clips that followed were all... ghost evidence. The boys used to play games with Jiwoo- like cards, tic tac toe, or such games, and Seohyun watched with her mouth open in disbelief as the amount of 'evidence' clips passed.
"Good thing Jiwoo's not here- if she was, I would have personally seen her out of this realm."
San rubbed her arm, laughing, "You never stopped them from filming."
Seohyun just shook her head, smiling as the clips changed to a compilation of their last day with Jiwoo, of them playing in the water, playing games and just laughing and having a good time. Seohyun felt bittersweet at the memories.
"Now here starts the fun part," Wooyoung winked.
And sure enough, fun it was.
"It appears my definition of fun differs from yours," Seohyun flushed as she saw a compilation of clips of San and Seohyun being the most obvious couple- looking at each other adoringly, holding hands, talking, etc. "I feel exposed."
"This was my idea- to put these in," San admitted, grinning at her flushed self, "I knew you'd like it."
Seohyun rolled her eyes but smiled, and they all watched the various clips from their outings together, until-
"Oh," Seohyun realized why this gift from Yeosang was late.
The drums playing itself, the piano playing itself, food flying in the air, cushions being thrown- all Seohyun as a ghost, and she had to admit the direction of this movie was clever.
"I'm going to wait till the end credits to comment," Seohyun muttered, watching the day of her birthday, smiling because it really looked like they had filmed the whole thing.
Seohyun's grip on San's hand tightened when she saw the clip from the day at the hospital when she finally woke up- the 'creepy sight' Hongjoong had referred to and Wooyoung had filmed- the sight being San and Seohyun staring and smiling at each other, their foreheads joined.
"You really had to add this?" Seohyun kicked Wooyoung's back lightly, making everyone giggle.
"This is like the epilogue of the whole thing," Mingi said.
The video ended with a picture of the 8- which Jiwoo had clicked on the beach. The end credits rolled, crediting everyone except Seohyun- even Jiwoo.
"Come on, I must have made at least one of the videos or pictures there-"
"In case you haven't noticed, you barely use your phone," Yunho retorted, and Seohyun pouted.
"So," Wooyoung turned, "What do you think?"
Seohyun couldn't stop herself from smiling, looking up as she felt her eyes burn, and the boys started chanting "DON'T CRY", making her laugh harder.
"This really is a gift from all of you- the memories, though I think I should thank Yeosang first," Seohyun smiled at him, taking his hand, "Thank you. You didn't have to waste your time on this."
"It wasn't a waste of time," Yeosang shook his head, "I had this idea when you were still... a ghost. So instead of making it bleaky with only ghost memories, I decided to do something like this. Wooyoung helped me a lot too."
"You all make me cry too much," Seohyun wiped the corners of her eyes, "I was never this emotional-"
"Oh please," Seonghwa shook his head, "If we had a clip from every time that you cried-"
"Okay, okay, I get it!" Seohyun laughed, "Thank you, all of you. This, us here right now, is the greatest Christmas gift I could have from anyone of you-"
"Now don't go being all sentimental on us, Seohyun-"
"Ugh, you guys don't let me breathe!" Seohyun glared at Jongho, who was doubling over with Mingi, "I'm saying it again, and you all better not interrupt. I really love you guys. It's been a great few months, despite the bad things that happened. I wouldn't have made it back without you guys. Thank you for everything."
They all smiled, Seohyun taking time to make eye contact with everyone.
"Thank you for sticking with us, I guess," Seonghwa grinned.
Wooyoung nodded. "I know we can be a loud bunch-"
"You don't say," Seohyun muttered.
"See, you interrupt us too when we're all sentimental!" Wooyoung turned to glare at her.
"Hey, who's idea was it to befriend me again?" Seohyun shrugged, "You brought this upon yourself-"
"It was because we thought a girl in our group would so us good! If I had known you talked and sat like a guy-"
Wooyoung shut up when Seohyun kicked his back, harder this time, making everyone howl with laughter at the two of them bickering.
"Hey, she can be girly when she wants to be-"
"You're not helping, San!"
"It's imitation time, Yunho!" Yeosang called his attention and Yunho bowed, getting up and preparing himself to act like Seohyun.
He walked a few feet away, rolling his sleeves up, which already had the boys laughing, stealing Hongjoong's cap so he could complete the 'Seohyun' look.
"So here's how she walks-" Yunho hunched his shoulders a bit, his eyes darting here and there as he walked with light steps- a habit Seohyun had to make as less of a sound while walking as she could.
"It's because I look out for ghosts!" Seohyun folded her arms, slumping back as the boys laughed at the near perfect imitation, almost howling when Yunho slumped in the chair, sighing, legs apart but feet together, arms folded.
"That's perfect," Yeosang managed to say between laughter. Seohyun clenched her jaw, trying not to laugh.
"I feel exposed..."
"But that's how you really are like, baby," San scoffed.
"I could have been like one of those girls who's always walking like a model, sitting like this-" She tried mimicking those formal sitting positions, "And has her lashes fluttering every second, and is always worried about how she looks."
"See, I knew you'd fit in well with us," Wooyoung grinned, and Seohyun threw a pillow at him as San and Wooyoung started to bicker about Seohyun.
Seohyun smiled as she pet the cat that was now in her lap, looking around at the boys, all smiles and laughter, no worries. Yeosang noticed her expressions and raised his brows.
Seohyun smiled.
"This really does feel like home."

➤ Deaging fic because the fan art with baby Rex is adorable. Bonus points if Ahsoka and Anakin are deaged as well. I sort of figure it could because of some weird Force magic but whatever works for you.
➤ genre: just fluff cuz tiny babies :)
➤ 🌑Requested: @carlycrays ❤ DISCLAIMER: idk how kids work🙃 and was too lazy to look it up so yeah, enjoy this mess. Also so sorry it took this long but i was really struggling, maybe I'll use the other ideas at some point ;)
Tumblr media
"By the Maker..." You sigh in frustration as Sivix continues to pace nervously. "How are we going to fix this, if even the Council doesn't know how?"
"Calm down. It could be worse, at least it's not a hostile planet." Sivix reasons, stopping before you.
"Yeah, but it's still out of the Republic's reach. We're alone out here and this situation is not helpful, in any way." You grumble, crossing your arms.
Captain Sivix sighs, "With all due respect, sir. I understand your concern, but obsessing over something we can't fix is not going to solve anything." he speaks resolutely, arms behind his back and spine straight as a ruler.
"You're right, you're right." You sigh, dragging a hand down your face in frustration as the captain's words settle in your mind. There's nothing you can do, at least for now.
"Why don't you go check on them?" He offers you gently and you're up on your feet before you can stop yourself by thinking too hard about the situation.
You salute the trooper guarding the barrack you step into. Once inside, all you hear are cries and coos. It would've been surprising, if it wasn't exactly what you were expecting to find.
"Well, who do we have here?" You ask playfully, with a softness not many are privy to. But how can you help it, with whom you're looking at?
High-pitched coos come to you as a response as you walk towards the sounds. "Hello there!"
Tiny hands reach out to you as you approach. You pick up baby Anakin, placing him at your hip as he giggles in delight while you bounce him slightly.
Perhaps a situation so strange would've called for a more panicked reaction, but that stage's already passed. Plus, they're all just so cute.
"Anything to report?" You ask Fives, who looks away from his now tiny Captain, knocking him over with a slight push while locking eyes with you.
"Report? General..." He trails off amusedly, holding a hand against Rex's forehead as be attempts to get to him, unsuccessfully.
You have to admit, it is certainly amusing.
You shake your head with a sigh, looking down at the child at your hip as he makes a quizzical noise. You place a soft kiss on his blond head, to which he giggles.
You put Anakin down before sitting close to Fives and Echo, who's mostly just eyeing the small Ahsoka curiously.
"Any news from General Kenobi?" Echo asks, startled as the young Togruta suddenly stumbles onto his lap. "Nope. Nothing at all. We're alone out here."
Noticing your crestfallen expression and heavy sigh, Anakin wiggles around until he can lay his head on your shoulder and wrap his tiny arms around your neck. "Aw, buddy, it's ok. We'll figure something out."
"How long do you think it'll take for him to get to us?"
"I'd say more than a few hours, but I can't be sure. Given that we're supposed to be on a mission. Our only saving grace is that we're supposed to meet with him on Kenrall, hopefully when he gets there and realizes we're not coming, he'll send someone out way." You can't help your negativity.
A crash is heard from somewhere in the corner, making you all look towards it. To find Ahsoka, who'd somehow gotten away from Echo without him noticing, holding a lightsaber oh no.
"No no no, put that down." Fives tells her sternly, finally letting go of his tiny captain, who falls on his face upon the lack of pressure.
The child immediately starts crying as Ahsoka continues to wave the activated lightsaber around while Echo attempts to get a hold of it.
Anakin reaches out with grabby hands, wanting to join in on what seems to look like fun, but you hold him steady, smiling when he looks up at you in confusion. “You don’t wanna get involved, believe me.” He pouts in response, attempting to escape your hold, to no avail.
You finally sigh at the troopers’ attempts to get the girl to let go of the dangerous weapon, raising a hand and moving it out of her hand and towards yours. Anakin looks up at you with wide, wondrous eyes, a heart-melting smile showcasing his tiny teeth.
Ahsoka tries to chase the sword, only to stumble and fall as it is carried away by an invisible force. Rex, upon seeing his friend on the ground, in the same position he just was in, gets up to help her, completely forgetting that he was the one screeching for help just moments before.
The lightsaber drifts smoothly towards your hand as Echo and Fives occupy themselves with their captain and commander, while a pair of wide blue eyes sparkle mischievously before a small hand reaches out just like yours. Suddenly it drops slightly, changing angle and moving towards your chest instead.
You look down to see a tiny hand reaching out, mirroring yours. Tiny Anakin furrows his brows as he draws the lightsaber towards himself. You’re too amazed to even think about how dangerous it all is.
The trance is broken once the sword reaches Anakin’s grabby hands, making him smile unbelievably wide, before you snatch it away. “No, you can’t touch that. You’ll hurt yourself.” You tell him sternly.
His pout returns, deepening as he processes what just happened, before a loud cry rips itself from his chest, catching everyone’s attention.
Echo sighs, rubbing his temples as he feels a headache coming on, holding Ahsoka’s hand while Fives holds his tiny captain on his hip. The Togruta runs towards you and Anakin with a determined expression, surprisingly not stumbling once.
You watch curiously as she approaches, turning off the deadly weapon, before clambering up onto your lap. She stares into Anakin's eyes, before enveloping him in a tight hug, smooshing her cheek against his.
Surprisingly, it works. It quickly makes the tiny Jedi quiet down, hugging back his commander while sniffling the rest of his tears away and putting on a brave face. As if to say 'I wasn't crying!', just like normal-sized Anakin would.
"General!" Sivix exclaims, drawing everyone's attention, "We've received a transmission from Commander Cody and General Kenobi. They are on their way." he can't hide his relief.
"Thank the Force." You sigh, making the children in your lap look at you with concern in their wide eyes, before raising their tiny arms and cheering when you shoot them a smile.
Not the worst of experiences, but you're definitely relieved to hear from Obi-Wan so soon.

Okay so. Allow me to set the stage. This concept is technically a historical au and takes place with Sukuna in his original form, as in four arms 6-10 feet tall mouth on his stomach original form.
The Mc is a half-blood (father was a curse mother was a shaman, similar to choso in a way) who's been thrown out/expelled/driven out etc etc of shaman society. Basically the branded them a curse user when they weren't and Mc said bet "you want a villain? I'll give you a fucking villain" chaotic neutral, doesn't go after civilians just fucks shit up for the higher ups and shamans but despite their high placement among special grades keeps to themselves. They live in a cabin in the woods and are self sustaining. They have money stored up in case the need it and occasionally sell the things they make (flower arraignments, ceramics, calligraphy, masks) in villages on a rare occasion. They always wear a mask when they go into down or work as a curse user for a number of reasons but mostly because they hate having people see their face as the left side of their face is disfigured from their cursed blood and they have a concerning amount of scars. And I don't mean like Hollywood disfigurement I mean the skin is matted together and looks like it was burned, they have an extra eye and the skin is grossly discoloured and ashen. Their scars are all over their body and range from typical cuts and a few burns to this series of scars, several of which are on their face, that look as though something tried to burrow into their skin.
Now fun fact: cats were domesticated in Japan by the early heian era but were a luxury of the aristocracy. So the Mc meets Sukuna when he's raiding one of the higher ups estates and they're stealing that guys cat because he tried to have an execution order placed on them after they saved his ass a few weeks ago against a special grade and they're bitter.
Thus is how Sukuna and the Mc get into a homoerotic (they're gender neutral so *vague hand gestures*) fight scene and at one point the mc manages to get the upper hand, specifically shortly after he said something about being the king of curses. And they just smile and say "yeah well I'm afraid that a king isn't much to anarchist, Princess." Before grabbing their new cat sending me a salute and falling backwards off the roof of the estate in their typical dramatic fashion (they felt so cool doing it they forgot that this was Sukuna they were dealing with and that might not have been the best move)
This ensues an enemies to allies to lovers to possibly tragic romance fic between the Mc and Sukuna because they keep. Running. Into. Each. Other. And neither is strong enough or clever enough to kill the other and after some hate bonding over shamans and how they run things Sukuna comes to the horrifying realization that he's grown an emotional attachment to them.
Just fluff hurt/comfort from there, Sukuna having to address his prejudice before the Mc so much as gives him the honest time of day because he just wants them on his side and it's definitely nothing else, definitely not, and if he needs to do that to do it then fine. Both of them never really admitting their feelings because they're too prideful but at some point they cross the line between allies and lovers and it's comfortable and he's happy, he's genuinely happy.
And then it all comes crashing down when a minor argument escalates he forget's his strength at time and while waving one of his hands around to get the point across and accidentally slit their throat because he didn't realize they were that close and assuming their just being dramatic it's not until several minutes that he realized what he's done because you can't heal a corpse.
Oh yeah and all of this is set to the songs, For The Departed (shayfer James) Achilles Come Down (gang of youths) and Angel of Sweet Death and the Codeine Scene (hozier). Anyways this got really long but yeah Sukuna x Curse User!Mc tragic romance with a pride and prejudice inspired dynamic with dark academia and lowkey cottage core vibes brainrot
Wowee. Can I just say??? This was amazing. Also, the music choices are excellent — and I can just see this unfolding. Like, I can’t really add anything, because it’s perfect, also dark academia vibes with Sukuna.... it just clicks. (Also, men in peacoats just does something for me. And turtlenecks. And rings... sukuna with rings on...  nice. )
Also, there’s something I can see just in OG form Sukuna and the bonding of curse user MC, that comes after the tense fight scene, and this art of making a villain that the shaman community seems to be so good at (like I have my theories on sukuna and how he was made into a curse after death — especially if he was both human and a jujutsu sorcerer himself during that lifetime), so, you think they would have learned, but old habits die hard, right? plus, biased society never learns, and they fear what they don’t understand, and I find it fascinating in terms of the appearance — where sukuna and his two faces, and technically how half of it is turned sideways can be considered deformed to an extent, and just that these two people who would be considered monstrous in appearance would be able to get over that in an instance because they both suffer from the discrimination that comes from it.
I’m also detecting some rivals to lovers tension as well, but I can’t exactly explain it. But thank you for sharing this! I love it tbh.

A Drunken Nightmare
An AU in which MC and Ethan slept together in Miami.(The morning after)
Probably the most smut I'll ever be able to write.
Warning: if you came here for smut you will be disappointed.
"A doctor who could make a difference in patient care"
"More then you already do?"
Salty air blew over the Celestial's front gate. Doctors that came to the conference were all drinking and dancing, without a care for the world. The loud dubstep beats roared from the speakers, people grinding eachother. All were there except two people.
All except a certain famous diagnostician and his rookie.
Tumblr media
Casey Valentine and Ethan Ramsey were leaning against the railing of the balcony of their shared room, looking at Ethan's drunk colleagues rave though the night just beneath them. Casey was quietly observing an individual who had caught her eyes, a young male doctor probably a second year residency, he looked about her age. Young and energetic, he was talking to a woman and from the looks of it they both were flirting with each other. Casey had a humourless smile on her face, how lucky the doctor was, where as she was stuck in between a competition, half the interns hated her and some acted like she doesn't exist. Her own friends, Jackie and Landry were dead set on trying to take her no. 1 position. At least Elijah, Sienna and Bryce treated her like a human being.
Right beside her was the one and only Ethan Ramsey, the nightmare of interns, the cold man who keeps his emotions underground, the damn asshole who Casey was in love with.
Ethan's eyes subtly stared at Casey's curves, imaging how they would feel beneath his fingers. Of course she had to wear such a sinful dress which would only give him a teaser of what her curves were, but enough to get him exited.
If she she wasn't an intern, he would be tearing it down right now.
Ethan had to tear Casey away from the bar, or she would have drunk herself to death. The whole time while he was taking her back to their room, she was giggling and swaying back and forth. But she went quiet when they were inside.
"You're awfully quiet" Ethan stated, Casey looked at him, baffled "O-oh? Just thinking." She answered.
Ethan didn't bother asking what she was thinking about, he was frozen in place. It was the first time he looked at her properly after they returned to their room, her face was red and her mouth slightly parted, her eyes reflected the stars and her bangs were messy. But yet she looked so damn beautiful.
"What do you think Naveen would say if he knew at what levels we were going to get him treated?" She broke the silence.
"He would probably first laugh, and then say we are making fools of ourselves" He said giving her a half smile. "But if he survives this, it will all be worth it"
"What you did just then was very smart, we are finally making a big progress!" She said existedly. I love it when you make that face, Ethan thought. "You mean almost losing the team on the hands of a man who only cares about money?" He said staring into her eyes.
"No I didn't mean it like that!" She said flushed. Ethan smirked, he loved seeing the flustered look on her face.
"I know"
Both of them went quiet for a while, then he decided to break the silence, "What you saw tonight wasn't me, I don't gamble on anything".
He looked into her eyes," Medicine is a assembly of facts leading to a conclusion, once you know the rules and the disease you're working with, the risk should be minimal." He turned to face her."Your decisions are informed, and you choose the safest path. But that card game…I've never done anything like that before."
Casey turned and looked at him,"I don't know, it seemed like a pretty well-informed decision to me" she stated.
"Risking Naveen's treatment on a game? Having to hope I'd judged Declan's character enough to risk losing instead of using a winning hand?" He said furiously, "There were too many variables, I could have lost everything!"
"But you were right, your risk paid off" She smiled, he loved it when she smiled like that, it was when she was reassuring a patient that she will help them, and she damn well did.
"It did…and I'm only beginning to realise…" his eyes shined with desire.
"There are some things that are worth any risk"
Both of them looked at each other, and both knew what the other wanted.
°~~~~~•~~~~~°~~~~~•~~~~~°
Casey groaned as sunlight interrupted her sleep, her whole body was hurting and for some reason her womanhood was hurting the most. Her eyes fluttered open, and she saw the sun shining right outside of the glass wall that separated the bedroom from the balcony. She just had the best dream ever.
Ethan pushes her against the bedroom wall, his right knee between her legs. Their tongues desperately met, "Dr. Ramsey!" She gasped as she felt Ethan's hand opening the zip of her dress. "Ethan" he whispered in her ears and kissed on her neck, stoping momentarily to nibble on the sensitive spots.
Casey face heated up, even for a dream it felt too real. 'It would be better if It only was a dream' she thought.
As much as she hates to admit it, she can never be with Ethan. He was an attending, she was an intern. He was her boss, she was competing to be in his team. If they were a thing, his reputation would be affected she would be told that everything she 'achieved' was because she slept with her boss. Plus…
Ethan would never see her in that way.
To him she is a newbie, a nuisance, someone that likes to stick her head in other people's business.
Casey lay there quietly for a short while, then decided to get up. As soon as she pulled the cover away, a breeze chilled her bare chest. Casey flinched, wasn't she waring her dress from last night? Where'd it go?
Ethan's fingers touch Casey's core, only a thin layer of her pantie separating them. Casey pulls Ethan on top of her she herself lay on the bed, Ethan kisses the rise of her breasts. "Mmm…" Casey softly moans as she felt Ethan's fingers enter her. "Don't…stop"she said between her shaky breaths. "I don't think I can. I have been wanting this for a long time Casey" Ethan's lips brushes past Casey's breasts, then her stomach and slowly lower…
Casey's head was spinning, memories of last night were slowly returning back to her. She was horrified.
This can't happen! It can't!
Casey looked beside her to see a shirtless Ethan sleeping soundly, he looked so peaceful probably not having a clue what they have done.
Casey got up and quickly walked towards the bathroom with wobbly steps, her legs were hurting like hell. She quietly shut the door and glanced at the mirror.
Hickeys and bite marks everywhere. How was she even going to hide this?
Tears spilled from her eyes…'why am I crying? I wanted this' she thought. She broke down, this can't be happening, not today. She was supposed to be happy that they found a possible cure for Dr. Banerji, feel proud because Dr. Ramsey trusted her. Not guilt trip because she slept with her boss.
|~~~~~•~~~~~|~~~~~•~~~~~|
Ethan's head was pounding relentless, he could only focus on Casey. Despite the raging party below them, the loud sound of waves crashing on the rocks…he could only hear Casey's voice. She was drunk talking and saying nonsensical things, but he was still encaptured by her voice. This is what shook him.
The unshakable Ethan Ramsey, the face that doctors from afar dreamt of meeting. He had only a decade's experience but yet he was one of the best doctors from around the world. He always thought that he cannot be distracted by anything or anyone. No one was truly able to crack his wall of ice, no matter how warm they were. And yet here she was, Casey Valentine an intern, clueless, novice, and trouble. She shattered the walls like they were a tower of cards, melted everything like she was the scorching sun in a summer afternoon, invaded his life like a skilled thief, and stayed as if she belongs here. Whenever he thought he knew her she would do something he least expected. She could even yell at him if she felt like he deserved it.
Never before had he been so head over heels for a woman.
But fate was against him, he was her attending, her boss, 10 years older than her. It was unprofessional, unethical, something he was against. But something he longed for. He could have anyone, but the one he wanted was out of his reach.
But yet here they are in a perfect setting. 10 floors above the ground, everyone was busy partying, they were alone, the party was so loud no one could hear them, he was drunk, she was even more drunk, if anything happens he can just blame it on the alcohol, both wanted the same thing.… Then why not have it?
Never before had Ethan broken his rules for anyone, but tonight he cannot resist any longer.
|~~~~~•~~~~~|~~~~~•~~~~~|
Casey's sobs were abruptly interrupted when she heard something from outside the bathroom, she tentatively opened the door slightly to peek, Ethan was still asleep. She snatched her bag that lay right outside the door.
Casey has never had a shower this quick, she dried her hair begging to God that Ethan will still be asleep. And just like that she was out of the room. Her eyes felt prickly, she knew that she was about to cry. How can she not? Ethan will never look at her in the same way again. He will probably only see disappointment and a mistake.
∆~~~°~~~∆~~~•~~~∆~~~°~~~∆
Ethan stirred in bed, trying to find a comfortable position. He let his hand fall off from the bed and hit the bedside table with a 'twack'. "Ouch!" His eyes abruptly opened, he immediately regretted it. Sunlight invaded his vision, and for a second he thought he was now blind. He sat up, making the sheet that was covered his taunt muscles now visible. He looked around confused, and suddenly remembered that he was in Miami. His head was killing him, he tried to recall last night's events.
'I and Casey got the formula from Nash, she went to drink at the open bar. I dragged her back into the room, we were talking…'
Then he remembered, her flustered face, her soft lips, her beautiful body…
Ethan went quiet, he knew this was coming. One way or another he was going to ruin everything. He didn't blame Casey, he couldn't.
It wasn't her fault.
It was his.
He cursed himself for being drunk, careless. Of course he would do something stupid the moment alcohol runs through his vains. He had a habit of drinking alone, the day he was drunk and alone with someone he did the unthinkable.
How many people already know? Were they too loud? Maybe they forgot to lock the door?
Ethan looked beside him to see the crumbled sheets in shape of a person, a place where Casey slept hours ago.
Does she hate him now?
•••••×•••••°•••••×•••••
"ah, Casey! Hi."
Casey heard Ines's voice behind her. "Hello Ines" Casey greeted her enthusiastic resident trying her best to sound happy,"Already had breakfast?"
"No, but me and Zaid were just on the way" Ines said happily, "Talking about Zaid…where is he" Casey asked glancing around to find the grumpy doctor. "Oh, he went to the bathroom" Ines said as both of them walked towards the Dinning Hall.
"You sure spend a lot of time around him" Casey remarked. Ines blushs, "We-well he is my friend! I like spending time with him!"
"But is that all there is to it?" Casey smiled warmly towards Ines, completely forgetting about the events that happened this morning.
"We are just friends, that's all!" Ines mumbled looking at the floor like a guilty child. "Ines, you should make a move or something. You two look cute together" Casey said to the blushing doctor.
You still have a chance, unlike me…
"Do you think…he likes me?" Ines asked so quietly it was almost inaudible, "Of course! He is like a happy puppy when he's around you" Casey laughed.
"By the way, why are you wearing a full buttoned up shirt? Isn't it hot? Ines asked curiously.
"W-well you see…"
Both of them continued walking towards the Dinning Hall.
+~~~~×~~~~+~~~~×~~~~+
Ethan quickly walked down the stairs, 'she should be in the dining hall right now'. He thought.
He came just in time to see her leave towards the elevator, "Rookie, wait!" He said loudly as he jogged towards her.
His chest tightened when he saw her face look at him in horror, the door to the elevator opened and she ran inside.
Ethan broke in a full fledged run, just as the door was about to close he smashed the elevator button. And the door opened again…

The Winter Ghost - Part 9
Info: A Devastating car crash causes you to lose your memory and start over. The only thing left in the wreckage was the horrific nightmares which plagued your mind. If you knew what today would entail you would have just stayed in bed. But you didn’t and because of that, everything you knew was about to change.
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x reader
Warnings: swearing, angst if you squint.
W/c: 2.5 k
A/n: Thank you so much to all of you have have given this fic so much love. And thank you to @cutie1365 for all her help and support! Hope you all are having a great week! Also I promise more Y/n x Bucky interactions are coming soon!
Tumblr media
It had been exactly five days since the three men left on their recon mission to see what Zemo knew. Five days. Besides the occasional report on Natasha’s part, you haven't heard from Bucky again since that night.
This was a good thing, you thought. Maybe he was respecting your space. Maybe he had come to his senses. Maybe he meant that text for someone else. Ouch, You hurt your own feelings with that one.
In any case, the time away from the Super Soldier had given you the clarity you needed to think. You and Natasha trained almost every morning and in your spare time you would work out with Sam. He was a good trainer, besides the lingering eyes when he asked you to do squats. You didn't really mind though. You weren't really sure why you were training. It's not like anyone knew where you were, or even cared at that point. The Avengers in New York had their own problems and as far as the rest of the world knew, Y/n L/n didn't exist.
Everytime you would ask Nat what this was all for she would only shrug and say something about ‘Avengers must be prepared.’ The idea that you could even be compared to the world saving team was insane and frankly terrifying to say the least. You were just Y/n. Sure Hydra had pumped you full of some mystery serum but without your memories you weren't even sure what that meant.
Speaking of, since that fateful day at the market, you had no sign of anything else coming back to you. You felt like you were letting everyone down. Especially Shuri who had been working tirelessly to help try and regain something, anything that would make you remember. A part of you worried that no matter what she did, you would never truly know. And a small part of you was maybe a little thankful. The idea of your past life terrified and fascinated you all at once.
Over the past few days, Wanda helped teach you that little mind trick of yours. Once you got the hang of it, it was hard to say out of people's heads. Though you had more control over your ability than before, sometimes your friends were just too loud; you couldn't help but pick them out of a room.
“Hey good lookin'! You ready to hit the gym?” Sam's voice echoed through the kitchen while you poured yourself a tall mug of coffee. You signed, still sore from yesterday's workout.
“Don’t you guys do anything other than workout?” You asked, eyeing him sceptically.
“What's it look like?” He winked, flexing his bicep.
Guess that's a no.
“Okay, okay. Just let me enjoy this small fleeting moment of peace while I drink my coffee. I’ll meet you there in fifteen.” You spoke, exasperated. You weren't getting out of this one. You knew that, and so did he.
“Fine, but if you're late, we’re sparring. And you know damn well I fight dirty.” He smirked, jogging out of the room. God, he was insufferable. Over the time since Sam had come back you both had spent a lot of time together. He was a flirt and you were awkward as hell, but the two of you became close friends. Plus, he liked to shit talk Bucky as much as you did.
You brought your mug up to your lips and took a big sip, letting the rich aromatic smell of coffee invade your senses. While the others would lay down their respective lives to save the world, you would do it just for this moment. Were you a junky? The thought made you giggle.
“What's so funny, dear?” Nat strolled into the kitchen, eyeing you while you only shook your head.
“Oh, nothing.” You paused as she looked through the fridge for her usual morning orange juice.
“Top shelf, on the left.” You spoke.
“Got it. Thanks. What are your plans for today?” She questioned, grabbing a glass from the cabinet.
“I’m heading to the gym in a few, if you care to join me. Besides that, I’m open. Why what’s up?” You asked, bringing the mug back to your mouth and finishing what little coffee you had left.
“No reason… the boys are coming home today and-” the coffee that once resided in your mouth spewed out in an almost cartoonish spit-take. Your hand flew up to your face, but it was too late. You choked on the fluid over coughs and apologies.
“Wait- What?” You asked dumbfounded.
…………..................................................................................................................
“Wait- what?” Steve asked in shock, his eyes almost bulging out of his face. Bucky couldn't help but chuckle at his friend's delayed reaction.
“I kissed her Steve” He reiterated again, “… Or maybe she kissed me- I don't know, it just kinda’ happened.” Bucky huffed, rubbing the back of his head as his eyebrows knitted together. It didn't matter now anyways, he had ruined it. He knew he had to, but dammit, that didn't mean it hurt any less. Knowing no matter who actually initiated the kiss- it happened, and in turn, completely altered their relationship. Whatever it had been in the first place.
“How could you let this happen, Barnes?” Steve barked, knocking him out of his train of thought.
“Don't give me that ‘Captain’ bullshit, punk. Not with me. I don’t know, there's something about that girl. She just-”
“She's just nothing. No Buck, absolutely not. Do not go down this road. I’m warning you.” Steve pointed a finger at Bucky's chest, the sheer strength pushing him back a few pases. He held his ground though as to not let on that little Stevie was capable of such strength.
“Well it doesn't matter, I called it off anyways.” Bucky mumbled. Steve only sharply nodded in confirmation.
“Why do you care, anyways?” Bucky asked, watching his friend carefully.
“I- I don't. I don’t care. I mean- yes! I care, of course I do. You're my best friend… I don't want to see you get hurt…”  Steve stuttered.
After all these years Bucky would have thought he’d get better at lying but, wanting to drop the conversation he nodded, accepting his failed attempt.
“I’m glad you broke it off with her, Buck. There's so much you-” He coughed, though it sounded like more of a choke, “We. there's so much we don't know.” He finished, obviously staring at Bucky’s forehead, rather than his eyes.
Damn he was bad at lying.
“Anyways…” Bucky started, desperate to change the subject from Y/n to something less gut wrenching. “When’s ship out?” He asked, as the two men walked back to their motel.
They had landed in Berlin five days ago. Five excruciatingly long days. Bucky had called and hung up on Y/n seventeen times since they got there. He prayed to whatever God he believed in the calls never made it to her end.
Meeting with Zemo took a lot out of Bucky. The man knew the deepest parts of himself. The parts that shamed him, and caused him nothing but heartache and pain. T’Challa had helped to sneak Steve and him into the Joint Counter Terroist Center, giving them a little less than thirty minutes to interrogate the man.
Bucky wasn't sure about any of this. Why would Zemo want anything to do with Y/n? Unless he was just a cog. The whole thing made very little sense, but then again, he trusted Y/n. With every fiber of his body he trusted her. Even if Steve wasn't quite as sold.
That's only because he hasn't kissed her sweet lips. God, if he only knew how you tasted.
Ouch, he hurt his own feelings with that one.
The memory for Zemo’s twisted smile knocked him out of his daze.
“The prodigal son returns, it seems,” He chuckled, sadistically. Even his voice sent a shiver down Bucky's spine. The idea of this man's hands on Y/n in any capacity was enough to send him into a blind rage. But they hadn't come to tear his head clean off his body, though Bucky knew he could do it without even flinching.
“Here to ask you some questions. And you're going to answer them.” Steve barked in his most authoritative Captain voice. Zemo chuckled, never once taking his eyes off Bucky.
“The Winter Soldier and his boyfriend. What a pleasure…” Steve only huffed in response causing a sadistic smirk to tug on the prisoners mouth.
“Twenty minutes.” T’Challa spoke into their coms.
“What do you know about Y/n L/n?” Bucky spoke this time. He hoped Zemo didn't see his harsh expression falter as the mere mention of her name.
“Ah, Agent L/n… Quite a specimen, wouldn't you agree, hound?” Zemo practically spit the word. Steve reached his arm out, gripping onto Bucky’s shoulder, holding him back.
He wouldn't even flinch. It would take seconds.
“Answer the Question.” Steve boomed.
“Yes, Y/n and I go way back. You have her don't you? Found her triggers yet? Does she even remember her own name?” He laughed, almost maniacally, like something out of those old comic books Bucky was so fond of.
“Steve…” Buck warned, knowing that he wasn't going to be able to hold it together much longer. Steve nodded, turning his gaze back to the small man in the cell.
“What's in the serum, Zemo. What exactly did you give her?” He asked, stepping closer to the glass case he was sitting in.
“Couldn't tell you if I wanted to. But she knows… And when she remembers, oh. What. A. Day.” He smirked, tapping on the glass with every word.
“What does that mean? What are her triggers?” Steve questioned. When Zemo only shrugged the Captain’s fist flew against the glass, sending a booming echo through the room.
“Ten minutes.” T’Challa’s voice ran through their coms again. It was now or never. They probably wouldn't get another chance like this. The men were fugitives. The mere fact they crossed the European border was a god send.
“Why didn't you just kill her? Huh? Why go to all this trouble...Why give her the serum?” Bucky asked, trying, truly trying to keep his voice level. The idea of never meeting Y/n made his heart ache.
“We tried to clone the serum. She's a smart one, мой ребенок. Made it so that without being mixed with her blood and exposed to radiation, it would be useless. Her fail safe. I don't think she ever thought...” He chuckled, shaking his head from side to side. “Tell me, did her arm heal okay?”
Bucky gritted his teeth. The smug bastard. The thought of the torture Hydra must have put her though made him feel physically ill. Worse than anything they could have ever done to him. They touched her. He could practically hear her screams ringing through his mind.
He wouldn't. Even. Flinch.
“We must leave. Someone's alerted a guard.” T'Challa's panicked voice shook Bucky out of his rage. Zemo seemed to notice.
“Give my regard to мой ребенок.” He flashed a toothy smile, taking a seat again.
“Get out of there!” The king's voice boomed, but Bucky didn't move. Steve yanked on his arm, pulling him towards the doors.
“They know where she is.” Zemo spoke so quietly the two men almost didn't hear. But they did.
“Who?” Bucky snapped. The man only chuckled, and waved as Steve yanked him out of the room.
…………..................................................................................................................
You met Sam and Nat in the gym, fifteen minutes later.
He was coming home today. You always knew eventually he would, but you were hopeful you'd have a little more time. Time for what, you weren't sure. All you knew is your heart still ached with his final words.
The idea of seeing Bucky’s face again made a lump appear in your throat. You weren’t ready. I mean, truthfully, you weren’t sure you'd ever be.
You had dealt with rejection before, sure. Your freshman boyfriend asked Angie Cordillia to the winter formal instead of you. You cried all night. But this- this was different. You knew it. You felt it, and it ripped through your heart like a chainsaw to paper.
“You're late!” Sam shouted from the treadmill going full speed. Well, not full speed- it was made for Steve and Bucky after all.
“I am not. Right on-” You looked down at your watch. “Time…” Oh shit. One minute past ten.
“I’m just warming up, and then I’m coming for you… Ya ready, beautiful?” Sam asked, sending a wink your way.
You looked to Natasha who only sent you a smirk while she stretched on the gym mat.
You huffed, tying your hair back into a ponytail. “Listen, Sam, I know what you said but I’m just really not feeling-“
“You know why you’re here?” Sam suddenly interrupted. All joking tones had melted out of his words as you approached him.
“Well, do you?” He repeated.
You thought about that for a moment. Yeah, you knew why. The team needed to find out whatever serum was in your system before Hydra would clone it. You were a means to an end. You were of course willing to be that cog, if to help right the wrong you had done in your past life, but that’s all it was.
“You’re here because Y/n, the old Y/n was the best of the best. She was a fighter. And whether you remember or not, she’s in there. Maybe there’s a way to take that serum out of ya, maybe you can just start over. But if you can’t, whatever you believe in has put it in there to make you stronger. So you decide, are you just here to be here, or are you a fucking Avenger?” His words hit you like a ton of bricks.
Sam was never the sentimental type. Far from it, in fact. You’d never heard him speak with such passion. You wanted to believe he meant it, but a gnawing feeling in the fit of your stomach kept you from fully retaining his worlds.
“I- I’m not an Avenger.” You signed, wanted nothing more than to be the kind of person to spring into action after his speech, but you weren’t. You knew that was because you were no hero.
“Maybe not officially. The bands kinda broken up at the moment. But lemme’ just say this,” He placed a hand on your shoulder, “You’re here for a reason. So we’re not going to sit around in Shuri’s lab all day. We’re going to train and maybe, if I kick your ass enough, you’ll realize just how special you are.” He gave you a little shove, knocking you back a little. You tried to speak but your voice betrayed you.
“Dammit.” You finally spoke.
“Yeah, I don’t know where that came from either…” Sam chucked. You wanted to protest, to argue that you weren’t the person he thought you were. But you didn’t.
You weren’t sure if it was the look in his eyes, or the intro to Shoot to Thrill by AC/DC that came blaring out of the gym speakers, but in any case, you believed him.
“Fine, Give me your best shot, Wilson.”

                       (gif not mine)
In the following week you saw Steve once a day, just to assure that he was doing fine. He wasn' sleeping in your shared room for the moment, but in a spare bedroom. You knew that you were probably being harsh with him, but you were so mad. It wasn't the first time that he did something stupid to try and save others. Hell, just think about that damned plane crash that put him in the ice in the first place.
You understood the reasons why, and basically everyone tried to talk with you and kinda 'sugar coat it' but the issue wasn't that you didn't understand: the issue was that he couldn't afford to think only about himself. Was it selfish on your behalf to think that way? Maybe. But you couldn't help it. You told yourself that it would've been different if you were just married, or just lovers. His decisions would've still been his. But now it's different. In less than six months he would've become a father. And that comes with responsibility. Wasn't he the first to tell you how important it was for you to put aside your job, for months or maybe even forever, just for the wellbeing of the creature inside you? That kid is yours just as much as he's his.
You and Bucky went out for a shopping trip that afternon. You would've asked Wanda, but she and Vision went to Clint's farm for a few days to see him and his family. Steve still had to be inside the tower, since he wasn't fully healed yet. You knew that he was watching a football game with Sam now, while Tony and Bruce were working on a new project, and Thor went to Asgard for a while to go check that Loki and Odin weren't at each other's throats.
You didn't mind Bucky's company at all. And in any case it wasn't like you felt like going out with Steve, not just yet. The brunette drove you both to the mall where he parked and then you went inside.
-So, what absolutely exciting and girly shops I have to visit today?- he asked while you curled your hand around his bicep. You laughed, looking up at him while you walked.
-Well, this mama is getting bigger every day, so I really can't wear my old clothes. I wouldn't even fit in them, and I can't go on with you guys' hoodies and t-shirts. I mean, I'm still a woman. Who said I can't look good while pregnant?- you responded, dragging him to a maternity clothes shop. As soon as you entered like half of the women in the shop turned to look at Bucky. You glanced at him and saw that he blushed and was looking everywhere except them. You bit you lip to not smile while you started to look around at the clothes. You made sure to engage in conversations with him to try and take the attention away.
-Damn homie, I think you just made those women regret their partners.- you said lowly so only he could hear you, and being a super enhanced supersolier, he did hear you very clearly. He snapped his head towards you with a look of disbelief on his face. His expression was so funny that you couldn't help but laugh. He looked around quickly then got closer to you.
-Stop it! It's already embarassing without you pointing it out.- he whined with a low voice. You stopped laughing but you couldn't help but smile, pressing your lips together.
-It's just so funny to me, because I understand these women. Turns out that pregnancy doesn't only make you sick, but also terribly horny.- you rose an eyebrow and he face palmed himself. You laughed again.
-Too much information, doll.- he groaned. You chuckled, putting in his hands a bunch of clothes. He caught them with both arms and followed you like a puppy to the changing rooms.
-Thank you kind sir, now I'm gonna see if they fit then I promise we're out of here.- you joked, hanging the clothes into the changing room. You closed the tent and he let himself fall delicately on one of the couches. He looked around while he waited but it turned out to be a bad idea when he saw the women from the various isles and even the shop's staff looking at him. He awkwardly smiled and then looked back at the closed changing room, sinking in his seat and covering the side of his face with a hand nonchalantly. He heard a few muffled giggles but no ne bothered him.
-Y/n are you done?- he asked, more embarassed than anything. Suddenly she pulled back the tent and started to gather a few of the garments in her hand. Bucky's gaze got caught on her figure. It was essentially the first time that she wore something fitting and not exaggerately large, so her belly was fully on display, even more so since she was turned to the side. The man felt a mix of emotions all at once and didn't quite catch the first time she called him.
-Buck, did you hear me?- he snapped out of it and stood to his feet, blinking a few times.
-It looks great.- he commented. You had on a nice flowery minidress, the sleeves were short and puffy, the square neckline showed just enough cleavage to remain classy, the breast area was tight but just below the skirt was soft and fell perfectly on your figure, showing the belly. You looked at him with a smile, chuckling slightly.
-Yeah, it fits well doesn't it? I'm getting these,- he gave a three dresses, two shirts, two t-shirts, two pairs of jeans and a pencil skirt to him, while she had other stuff in her own hands. -And I'm leaving these.- she sighed.
-Would you do me a favor? I'm dropping these off, meanwhile could you go to the pay desk? I'll be there in a sec.- he nodded and you thanked him while you walked away to the isles. Bucky walked towards the counter and dropped the garments on the desk, giving a quick smile to the girl behind it. He pulled out from the back pocket of his jeans the wallet and then the credit card, which was obviously Tony's, and put it on the glass above the counter. He waited a few seconds until the clerk, which was a nice girl with black hair and amber like eyes, spoke to him.
-So, how far are you guys?- she asked. Bucky almost choked on air at that phrase.
-Oh we- - he was about to say, but you arrived at his side and saved the situation. You smiled kindly at the girl and gave a pat on Bucky's arm.
-I'll be exactly of five months in a week, and he's more like the uncle than the father.- she tileted her head towards the brunette. The clerk smirked.
-Is he now?- she said rethorically. Then added, -That would be 277$. You're paying with cash or card?- Bucky gave her the Visa and she thanked him, finishing the payment. Y/n glanced at him with a knowing look and a slight smirk. He rolled his eyes and shook his head a little, she furrowed her brows as if to ask 'Why?' and he just mouthed 'No', so she didn't push. For now.
-Thank you for your purchase, congratulations and we hope to see you soon.- the girl said with courtesy, her gaze lingering a bit on the man, whom didn't return the look. You could see the slight disppointment of the girl.
-Thank you, have a nice day.- you saluted her and then headed out with Bucky. An hour had already passed and you still had in mind to buy a few things, but first you needed a break.
-I desperately want a piece of cake. What do you think?- you elbowed him delicately to catch his attention. He turned his head and nodded, still carrying the two bags. You arrived at the mall's cafe and ordered. He picked an iced coffe and you a slice of cheesecake and some tea, knowing that coffe wasn't that good for pregnancy. You took a seat at one of the tables outside, even tho you were still technically inside the mall.
-So, wanna tell me why you didn't accept the clear as the sun advances that the pretty shop assistant did?- you brought the fork to your mouth. He huffed and shrugged.
-Because I am not interested. I don't think I'm in the right mindspace to date right now.- he responded. You exhaled, tilting your head slightly to the side.
-Buck, I know that it didn't end up that smoothly with Nat, but she's gone.- she realized how that sounded like and quickly corrected herself, -I mean, not gone. But...gone, you know?- you cringed at your own words and he snorted.
-Very smooth y/n.- he joked, earning a glare from you.
-Shut up, I'm trying to help here. What I meant that while I understand that things with Nat didn't end up in the best of ways, she went away to give both of you the space you need to get back on your feet.- you paused, drinking a sip of tea, then offring the last bite of cake to him. He shook his head, giving you a lopsided smile.
-Don't worry, it's all yours.- you pointed your finger at him, while chewing the cheesecake. He chuckled.
-Right answer. Anyways, what I'm trying to say here, Buck, is that you have to allow yourself to try again. Because you deserve it. What do you tell me about that person you said you were interested in? I've never seen you with anyone in the last three months.- he looked to the side for a moment casually.
-They're taken so, yeah.- he simply answered, shrugging while taking a sip of coffe. You got sad all of a sudden. You eyebrows knotted in a sad expression and he noticed, giving you a small smile.
-Hey, don't do that. It's okay. I'm not like heartbroken or shit. I'm happy for her.- he assured you, -She.. well she has a family. She deserves it, so I'm happy for her.- he nodded, smiling softly. You smiled at him too, still with a hint of sadness. He took a nother sip of coffe an then raised an eyebrow, looking at you.
-Why are you crying?- he asked confused. You furruwed your brows in confusion and wiped your fingers under your eyes, realizing that a few tears had escaped. At that point without a reason, you started to feel worse and embarassed and a mess, so you sterted to actually sob a little. Bucky got up and moved his chair next to yours, hugging you.
-Hey what's wrong? I promise I'm alright.- he laughed to try and lighten the situation. You hiccupped into his chest.
-I- I know..it's just.. I don't know, these stupid hormones are making me act hysterical.- you had sittle sobs coming out every now and then. He kissed your head while he stroked your back.
-It's okay, you're not hysterical.- he chuckled softly making you smile. You pulled away from him looking in his eyes.
-I'm a mess aren't I?- Bucky wiped a little smudge of mascara under her eye, and then smiled at her lovingly.
-You look just fine, darling.- she hugged him, whispering a 'thank you, I love you' in his ear.
-I love you too- he answered.
After that, they finished their drink and Y/n told Bucky that she wanted to order a few things for the baby so they did just that. They went in a baby-stuff shop and she choose and placed some orders for a crib, a baby seat for both the car and the kitchen and the changing table. You didn't wanted to buy them right away, so you told the shop to bring them at the tower when they wanted.
When you exited the shop, it was already six thirty pm, so you decided to head back at the tower.
In the car, you told Bucky about your idea to get a midwife to help you during your pregnancy and especially when it'll be time to deliver the baby.
-I don't know y/n... I mean I think that you don't need a midwife or some other stranger to take care of you and the baby. You have Steve. You have me, and Sam, Wanda and the rest of the team. Bruce has basically become a doctor of everything, I'm sure that helping to deliver a child isn't that hard.- he shrugged while keeping his eyes on the road.
-I can't and wouldn't expect you all to babaysit me for another four months, Bucky. You have missions, classes, a you know, your own lives.- he glared at you, probably wanting to intervene and contraddict you, but he remained quiet in the end.
-And, you really can't expect Bruce to handle this. He's a fucking physician for God's sake. He's absolutely amazing, but a delivery? No, that would be too much even for him. And I would be kinda embarassed, for crying out loud.- you added with a high pitched voice. You absentmindely started to cradle your belly. He thought about it for a few seconds.
-I don't know y/n, you know how I am with strangers. But in any case it's your and Steve's decision. Please, talk to him. He's been miserable this week without you. He wouldn't shut up about how he was sorry, and stupid and in love with you and that he misses your smile, your belly and I don't know, I stopped listening after a while.- he said exasperatedly. You suppressed a smile.
-Really? - you asked sheepishly. He turned his head to look at you for a second before smiling knowingly.
-You know it's true. Your fucking married, for God's sake.- he said, tired of you two being idiots. He could just imagine how it'll be when you'll become parents. You will be great at it, but also a mess at the same time.
-Hey, Whiny Soldier, how was shopping? - Sam shouted when he saw the two of you coming in the room with your hands full of bags. You didn't see him, but you just knew that he pursed his lips and shook his head.
-
You came back at the tower just in time for dinner. Vision and Wanda had aprons tied on their chests, while the others were just chilling in the common room. Steve was there too, beside Bruce.
-Shopping was productive, thank you very much.- you answered pointing for Bucky to put down the bags.
-Let me help you take these to your room.- he offered, but you gave him a look and he understood immediately, putting them down. You smiled and kissed his cheek.
-Thank you for being my human cart today.- his jaw dropped, pretending to be offended.
-Oooh- Sam howled and the others laughed. Steve smiled slightly, still mortified by your little 'cold shoulder week'  thing.
-You're lucky I can't tickle you to death right now.- he pointed his finger at you before walking to the fridge to pour himself a glass of water.
-Yeah, yeah, like you say big guy.- you teased him. You paused, shifting your gaze to Steve. He was wearing a blue hoodie and gray sweatpants, his dirty blonde hair were starting to get a bit long at the sides and a few strands fell on his forehead, while his jaw was covered with a slight scruff. His puppy dog eyes met yours and you couln't help but melt a little.
-Steve, are you well enough to help me with these?- you asked and even before you could finish he was on his feet. He almost tripped from how fast he tried to reach you.
-Yes I'm perfectly well I mean I'd love to help you. I mean obv- - you raised an eyebrow and he stopped, looking down. The whole team was watching in silence like it was a damn movie.
-I'm rambling, I'm sorry.- he said lowly. You sighed and places three of the four bags in his hands.
-C'mon. And you all, get a life.- you called them out while you two walked to the elevator. A few minutes later, after the short, silent, trip, you arrived to your room. He placed the bags on the bed and you did the same after closing the door behind you.
-Help me take off the price tags.- you invited him. He grabbed the bag, taking out the first garment. It was a white baby onesie, with Captain America's shield logo on it in white, blue, and red. His breath got caught in his throat and he suddenly let out a sob.
You snapped your head up in confusion, your features softening when you saw him. He sat on the bed, head down, onesie still in his hand. You put down the dress you had in your hands and went to sit next to him, since it would've been really uncomfortable for you to bend on your legs now. You hand went istinctively to rub his back.
-Can we talk?- he asks with broken voice. You tilt your head to the side to look at him with the shadow of a smile on your face.
-Only if you stop crying. Or else none of us will be able to talk at all.- he chuckles slightly making you smile lovingly. He wraps his big arms around you, nuzzling his face in your neck, your collarbones exposed due to the large shirt you were wearing. The wave of relief that washed over you in that moment was hard to describe.
-I missed you so much, baby. I couldn't stand the thought of you being mad at me. I'm sorry for being so impulsive.- he sniffed while he talked. You nodded, cupping his face gently. Steve melted into your touch.
-I know you are. And I'm sorry too. I know that I've been harsh with you these past days, it's just...- he waited patiently, -You're not responsable for only yourself anymore. I understand, please trust me, I understand what you wanted to do and also that you feel like it's your duty to do that. And it kinda is, but my point is- you shook your head realizing that you weren't really explaining yourself.
-What I mean is that you cannot put your life behind other's. Not for me, not even for the team. We're grown ass adults okay? Fow how much you can love us and we can love you, we are our own person. But this- you placed his hand on your belly, -This had been a choice. Your, mine. We both are responsable for this life. The same way I gave up my job, and the lessons. Now, I'm not asking you to stop going on missions, but I'd like you to be with me as much as possible. And that when you go, you'll be careful. Please, Steve.- you say softly, almost in the verge of tears. Again. You've cried more in five months than in your whole life probably.
-You're right. It was pretty hypocritical of me to get mad at you for the same reason in the first place.- he shook his head in disappointment. You rolled your eyes, adding -Work. I think we'll have to rearrange ourselves in this department.- you smiled and he laughed, agreeing.
-So, are we gonna get these off the bed and use the space in a better way or what?- your lips curled in a seductive smirk that quite shocked him. He recovered quickly, jumping on his feet and placing the bags on the ground in a split second. You threw you head back laughing at his eagerness, but you honestly couldn't blame him. Your hormones were a mess and your horniness at level 100, but you often were either sick, tired, hungry or he was. And not to mention the missions that separated you. So let's say that since you got pregnant the sex decreased noticeably, which was something that you wanted to fix. You phisically missed and needed him.
He returned to you and crashed his lips to yours, and soon enough you were a mess of tongues and lip bites and sucks that got interrupeted just briefly to get your clothes off. He didn't have anything under his hoodie, and you happily noticed that he was completely healed and that his weeks in the tower were due to the lack of new missions. You sincerely hoped it would last. After his hoodie, his pants and boxers were next. With you the situation was a bit more complex: first the light material shirt you had on had to be unbuttoned, then your tank top, the jeans' belt and the pants themselves. When you were left in just your underwear, a plain set of cotton white bra and panties, Steve stopped to look at your body.
He was in awe of you. He rose his hand and started a caress that began on your cheek, his thumb on your bottom lip, then descended to your now fuller breasts, to the curve of your waist to to your baby bump. At that point he bent down on his knees and kissed it softly.
-Hey little one, if you want to take a nap, now it would be a good time.- he whispered directly to the stretched skin. You let out a sound that was halfway between of a whine and a laugh.
-Steve, Jesus Christ.- you covered your face with your hands. You heard him laugh and stand on his feet again. He removed your hands gently, kissing you again with slow, agonizing passion that even let escape a ridiculous whine from your lips at the loss.
-Where were we?- he reached behind your back and unclasped the bra, sliding it off your shoulders and freeing your breasts.
-Mrs and Mr. Rogers I'm sorry to disturb, miss Maximoff would like me to inform you that dinner's ready.- you stopped hearing F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s voice. You groaned, annoyed at the interruption, but Steve suddenly started to push you on the bed and to lick and suck your boobs.
-Tell miss Maximoff that we have dinner here.- he responded biting softly your nipple, making you whimper.
-It will be done, mr Rogers.-
-Geez Steve, couldn't you be more specific?- you sassed with a deep breath, distracted by your husband's mouth. He snorted moving further down to remove your panties.
-You're already pregnant, couldn't be more obvious than that.- you started to laugh, but it soon became a loud moan when you felt his tongue licking a long stripe on your pussy. You closed your eyes and istinctively wanted to bring your hand in his hair, but you found an obstacle. A medium big, round and naked obstacle. You huffed and Steve stopped, tilting his head to the side, since now you couldn't even see him from between your legs.
-Are you okay?- he asked, worry in his voice. You sat on the bed, helping yourself with your hands. He returned beside you, waiting.
-It's just..ugh I'm so awkward and big and not confident if I have to be honest.- you say for the first time out loud. You wanted to cover yourself by curling your knees to you chest, but again, you swollen stomach didn't allow it. At that point you got even more frustrated.
-Damn it.- Steve places his fingers under your chin and made you look at him. His eyes were serious but not mad.
-Hey, none of that. Do you even realize the miracle your beautiful body is doing? You're creating a whole life in there, baby.- he smiled brightly looking in your eyes, -And by the way, you're still hot as fuck.- that made you laugh. He kept smiling while he made you lay down again on the sheets.
-This beautiful face..these cheeks are even sweeter now.- he peppered them with kisses making you giggle uncontrollably.
-Don't get me started on these ones...- his hands cupped your breasts while his mouth attacked your nipples and the soft skin. You moaned softly, your hand immediately in his short hair, your nails delicately scratching his scalp.
-But you know my most favorite thing?- he kept going, -This.- he was now between your legs, kneeled in front of your stomach. He caressed it and kissed it a few times. Then his gaze  locked in yours again. You almost felt hypnotized, both by his velvety voice and his touch.
-I love it because it's round and soft and most importantly because it's giving me a family. A baby. And you know who's giving me all of this? You are. So don't ever be insecure about this wonderful body, please.- you smiled at him softly. Soon enough the mood changed again when he spoke his next words.
-Now, are you gonna let me thank this stunning body like it deserves or not?- you felt the smirk in his voice, his blue eyes hungry. You mirrored his expression propping yourself up on your elbows.
-Would like to see it.- you answer. He huffs out a laugh and reprises what he started doing a few minutes prior. He took good care of you until you came on his tongue, and at that point you grabbed him to crash your lips together. You kept moving and bringing him with you, until he found himself laying down on his back and you straddling his hips. Steve's hands immediately went to your sides, trying to not move and let you do the work, even though all he wanted was to fuck you until you both could't anymore.
You kept you eyes on his while you stroked him a few times before slowly sinking on him. He squeezed both his eyes shut and your hips, huffing a long breath. That could've almost made you laugh if you weren't just as wrecked. Your hips started moving, back and forth, to the sides in painfully slow circular motions. At one point he grabbed your ass, sitting up and making you gasp.
-Doll I'm kinda struggling here- he breathed out kissing your neck while you kept moving. -I want to be delicate but damn.- he nipped at your sweet spot between your neck and shoulder. Your hips started going faster with the help of his hands guiding you and soon enough you were panting and kissing each other passionately and messily.
-Oh, Steve I'm almost there- you moan hugging his head to your chest. He moaned too, reaching in front of you with his hand to circle your clit.
-I'm right behind you baby.- he reassured you while in reality he was trying hard not to come in that exact moment. He craved you more than usual, not only beacause your body was actually so fucking hot to him but also because he hasn't touched you for almost two whole weeks.
Just a few seconds later you gripped his shoulders, hiding your face in his neck. His breath got caught in his troath at the way you clenched around him when you came. And as a cue, he followed you short after, coming inside you. You stayed like that, hugging and cuddling for some minutes, then he kissed you and moved you gently on his side, hissing slightly when you lost contact.
-Be right back.- he said going to the bathroom and returning with a wet wash cloth. He cleaned you up from both of your releases and then went back to throw the dirty fabric in the laundry basket. You looked at him with a lopsided smile, still hazy and quite tired from the recent activity. He mirrored your expression with messy hair, crawling in the bed to you and pulling you on his side after.
-I needed that.- you say. He sighed, -I definetly did too. How come we always end up having sex after we argue or talk?- he asked casually. You shrugged.
-I don't know, the important thing is that the talk comes first and then, the sex.- he agreed with a nod. You chewed on you lip a bit before speaking again.
-Honey- you called, he hummed.
-While you were away last week I started to think about how I will probably need more help in the future, you know. And the fact that you and the others are often away on missions. And I mean it's totally alright, that's work but... I felt so bad when Sam and Wanda were left behind last time. And just to 'babysit' me.- he looked down at you with a frown.
-They offered to stay behind because they wanted to. We're taking turns on missions all the time.- he responded. You barely noticed that he had started to caress your belly.
-That's not the point, you know it. The last mission was quite big. I know my work well enough to know that Fury would've sent all the team, if I weren't left behind. Also by now we both understood that this baby isn't a normal baby and that is why I'm so sick so often. Bruce can't be here all the time, and for how good and skilled he his, he's not an expert in the baby field.- he was listening to you intently, but he wasn't quite sure with where you wanted to go with this.
-What's the point?- he asked, moving a strand of your hair from your face with his fingers.
-The point is,  that I've read a lot in these months, and I think that we should hire a midwife. It would be someone that stays with me most of the day and helps me. An actual expert.-
-And how would you explain that our child has the blood of two super soldiers?- his hand motioned himself and you. You got up, towards the bathroom.
-Steve, we share the house with a god, a giant green monster, enhanced people, a witch, a kid that has the powers of a spider and an intelligent robot. I think it wouldn't be a great surprise.- you closed the door, peed and then refreshed yourself before going back to take some clean clothes. You saw that he was waiting for you to get out, probably wanting to shower.
-Okay then, I guess we can arrange that, if that will make you feel better.- he finally spoke. You kissed his cheek, already in your underwear.
-Thank you. You're showering?- he nods, the raises an eyebrow.
-Wanna join?- you laugh and shake your head.
-No, baby not now. I get tired quite easily and if the bed's already a bit difficult to work with, the shower must be a nightmare.- he pouted.
-You're right.-
-But- he stops the door before it closes, waiting for you to continue. -I want to fix your hair and your beard if you let me.- a lopsided smile opens on his face.
-Be my guest.-
-
After you sat him down on the edge of the bathtub, you shortened the longer strands on top with tiny scissors. After that you picked up the electric razor and groomed the sides, shortneing them but not removing them completely. You did the same with the beard, leaving a short, barely visible scruff. About twenty minutes later you were done. You put down the razor and took a step back to look at your work.
-Perfect.- you commented, brushing the hair that fell on his chest and shoulders. He stood up and looked at himself in the mirror, smiling.
-Is there anything you can't do?- he asked. You smirked, kissing him before starting to clean up.
-No, I'm a woman.-

Paige/Jinny enemies to lovers - is it still enemies to lovers if only one of them knows they're enemies?
ok, so this is pre-season four, bc it's the only way I can see it working. sometime in season two/three, Jinny's latest master comes to San Francisco. maybe he's trying to impress the source, wants to kill the charmed ones, etc. point is, he's in SF, and Jinny is out of her bottle for some reason, and she takes advantage of being in a crowded city to make a break for it, punches her master in the face and just books it the hell out of there. she's not really thinking, bc he can always just order her back in, but he comes after her nonetheless, grabs her by the arm and gets physical.
enter Paige.
she's just coming off work, she's had a long day and she's tired, but when she sees some creepy old dude with his hands all over this young woman, very obviously threatening her, she goes a little bit apeshit. she cold-cocks the demon, yells for someone to call the cops, makes a huge nusiance of herself until everyone on the street is looking. and the demon knows he's outnumbered and he's too smart to make a further scene, not when he's got Jinny's bottle to control her with, so he takes off before things get worse. only he dropped the bottle when Paige punched him and Paige picked it up to give it back to Jinny, inadertantly making her Jinny's new master.
not that she has any idea of this, because she has no idea magic even exists, she just thinks she rescued Jinny from some kind of abusive relationship. for Jinny's part, she's not about to tell some random mortal that she's a genie; she doesn't know what kind of wishes Paige would make right off the bat, and she can't risk losing the chance to get wished free. so she decides to bide her time, gain Paige's trust, then betray her later by getting her to make a very crucial wish.
but Jinny underestimates Paige, and Paige's compassion, and that when Jinny tearfully insists she can't go to the police, Paige will take her home with her to take care of her because she's obviously terrified and traumatized. and when Paige asks who Jinny was fighting with, Jinny calls him her master, so Paige is now convinced that she rescued Jinny from some kind of sex trafficking situation that Jinny doesn't bother to correct.
Jinny tells Paige that her family is dead, and she has no home, and Paige offers to let her stay on the couch. and she offers Jinny new clothes to change into, and free run of the fridge, and a shoulder to cry on if Jinny ever wants to talk about what she's been through, and Jinny's kind of baffled bc no one's ever treated her like this. not in the underworld as a lowly demon just trying to survive, not when that sorcerer seduced her and then cursed her into the bottle, and certainly not from any of her previous masters. it's been a long time, if ever, that she's experienced kindness, and she finds that she kind of likes it.
she lives on Paige's couch for a while. days, then weeks, then months. she and Paige get along well enough that Paige just never asks her to leave, plus Paige is aware of the whole 'alone in the world, nowhere to go' thing and she's not about to throw Jinny out into the street. Jinny goes out and explores the city and then gets a job at a coffee shop near the apartment, bc Paige never ordered her back into the bottle, never set any limitations on how far she could go, and she's kind of bored and maybe a little addicted to the shop's coffee and what better way to have a free, unlimited supply. she finds herself talking to other people, and helping people, and slowly doing more and more good. her bottle sits on a shelf somewhere in the apartment, gathering dust.
Jinny maybe also starts seeing a therapist. Paige's suggestion, to help her deal with the trauma she's lived with for so long, and normally Jinny would laugh at the idea of spilling her guts to a mortal, but it's rather cathartic to talk things out, at least as much as she can without revealing magic. she asks Paige to come with her to one of the sessions; Paige holds her hand when her voice starts to break, takes her out for ice cream and a long walk in the park afterward.
Jinny's been living with Paige for almost six months when she realizes that Paige keeps the fridge stocked with the fancy lemonade Jinny loves, that she's got a toothbrush in a cup beside Paige's on the sink, that she knows Paige's favorite coffee order to bring to her at work as a surprise. that maybe she's falling in love with this mortal she's supposed to be tricking.
she has a bit of an existential crisis then. she's supposed to be evil; it was what she was born to be, it was what all those masters made her with their treatment over the centuries. but Paige doens't treat her like she's evil, doesn't treat her like any of the others. Paige treats her like she's something wonderful and worthy, Paige smiles when she sees Jinny making breakfast in the morning, says 'thanks, babe,' in that scratchy voice that tells Jinny she's still half-asleep and not actually listening to what she's saying. Paige is - Paige is maybe in love with her, too?
Jinny's not entirely sure how to deal with that.
so she doesn't really; just shoves it to the back of her mind, thinks about it every once in a while but not for very long. certainly not enough to be obsessing over it. she has a mission after all, and she can't let these pesky feelings for Paige get in the way of her revenge.
but then Paige comes home that night having crashed a stranger's funeral, and she's all wired and jittery and she asks Jinny if she wants to go clubbing, and then they get attacked by a demon and Jinny's mind is made up. Paige is hers, and no demon, not even the Source's personal assassin, is getting his hands on her.
Paige's new sisters being the Charmed Ones might be a bit of a bigger obstacle, but Jinny will deal with that after she finds a way to tell Paige about the whole genie thing. and find a way to get free without trapping Paige (or anyone else bc Paige wouldn't like that) in the bottle. and then she has to tell Paige how she feels.
omg. tbh ten times funnier if leo as a whitelighter can sense jinny is a genie and goes hey what’s with the the genie and paige is like jinny? and piper and phoebe are like GENIE?? and jinny’s like okay word i guess this is how i’m meeting my gf’s family also yes paige i am a genie but to be fair! i also didn’t know you were a witch. so like. i didn’t wanna scare u or anything. also funnier if piper or phoebe or hell even prue frequented the coffee shop jinny went to actually scratch that prue was a regular at the coffee shop jinny works at and they do chat a lot bc like. idc prue comes in on her lunch break or something to get away from bucklands and just chat blah blah blah they kind of become acquaintances where u barely know each other but r still homies and then prue kinda stops coming in and jinny’s like oh okay bummer ig but then like four weeks later prue shows up not remotely at her regular time with a camera bag slung over her shoulder and jinny’s like ??!!! okay spill and prue talks about how she quit her job at the auction house and is finally pursuing her dreams of photography and how liberated she feels blah blah blah prue & jinny talk about the concept of freedom with jinny definitely having her takes we’ll say prue has an art show with her photography and tells jinny about it jinny of course brings her girlfriend paige bc paige is also an artist they get all dolled up for the art show blah blah blah and they even like idk buy one of prue’s photos and have it in their apartment bc like again paige is an artist i think her apartment would be filled with a lot of art. paige even briefly talks with the photographer herself - what an interesting woman! and at some point in 2001 prue stops coming to the coffee shop and jinny wonders what happened to her but accepts that she’ll never really find out and doesn’t worry about it too much maybe she moved somewhere new and is taking amazing photos & living her best life. at least that’s what jinny hopes. flash forward to paige and jinny minding their own business in their apartment when piper and phoebe kick down the door like power of three spell now we need electricity come on lets go! and stop dead in their tracks bc that photo over the dining room table. where did you get that photo. and paige is like we bought it at an art show and jinny’s like yeah the artist used to get coffee at the place where i work and piper and phoebe are like that’s prue’s photo. that’s that is a photo prue took that’s her work and paige’s mind is kinda reeling bc holy shit she like. she met prue before. and she didn’t remember til now but she met her and they talked about their favorite artistic inspirations and the studio where they were both taking self defense classes at at the time and she had talked she had met prue before. prue had liked her. she had met her sister.
