What is a sweet nothing? Follow up question: if you can whisper sweet nothings, can you shout them too?
A "sweet nothing" is a phrase or word used to express intimacy to a loved one. Traditionally, such vocalizations are whispered but can be expressed at any volume for different results:
If one were to hold their lover close and caress their neck and whisper softly, "You make me so happy," the partner may well simply smile and hold them closer.
If however, one were to grab them by the hair and growl loudly at them, "You hot slut, I’m gonna make you moan like a walrus with sleep apnea," then their reaction may be very different.
Please also note that walrus apnea is no joke as CPAP masks cannot fit their tusks.

Tip: if you pour cheap wine in your CPAP machine's humidifier, you will have dreams of drunken revelry and wake up with a nice buzz going.

anyone here use a CPAP machine that could answer some questions for me? replies, reblogs & asks all work! i am considering trying to get one and i am wondering how to go about it and other stufff.
1. if you’re comfortable sharing, what do u use it for?
2. have you found that it helps you with your issues?
3. did you get it yourself or did you get it prescribed? if prescribed (which is what i’m interested in), how did u go about it talking to a doctor etc. & was there any specific tests that were required?
4. if tests were required, were they difficult/hard to go through? like not in a “wow this test sure was hard to pass” kinda way, but in a “this was difficult bc the tests disturbed my functioning & symptoms” kind of way.
5. if you did get it yourself, where did u get it & how much did you pay?
again, feel free to ignore any questions you’re not comfortable answering!

If u have a c-pap machine I suggest running it without ur mask on for a minute or two to air out any weird smells. Even when I clean it regularly sometimes there's still a weird smell, but if I let it air out beforehand it's completely fine. Usually you can use the mask fit setting to do this.

Got good news that the CPAP machine is working for me! I'm down from about 8+ interruptions per hour to just one!

So... I was advised to wear my cpap for a couple hours for the first week to get used to it. I wore it for roughly an hour this afternoon.
.... why did no one tell me to expect to feel relaxed over some of the deepest most oxygen-filled breaths I've had in my life?!? (I've never had o2 stats under 92% while awake but i do have a habit of shallow breathing/holding my breath)
I straight up want to wear it to bed on my first official night because of it

My brain: No! No!!!! If we put that on our face, we shall surely suffocate!!!
Me: Sir, this is a CPAP machine mask it is LITERALLY for helping with breathing.
My brain: LIES.
Me: Why would I--? Look, we've been using this for like 2 years! It definitely works!
My brain: 🎵🎸CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES. THIS IS MY LAST RESORT. SUFFOCATION. NO BREATHING-- 🎸🎵.
Me: Sir, please...

I've fallen into a routine with the CPAP, which is to wear it half the night. Then after I get up and take my pills I just go to sleep without it.
It does seem to help, a bit, I think? It makes my sleep more efficient and less troubled. It changes my thinking so I don't have those low-oxygen thoughts. Unfortunately it also stiffens my movements, makes it harder to reposition myself.
So I'm not using it the way I'm supposed to and I have no idea if I'm making things worse, or better, or just neutral. And I don't really trust the salespeople who gave me the machine or the doctor who prescribed it. I just trust the way it feels.

Got one of those fancy fitness watches to track my steps and whatnot. Well it does this too I guess which is nice! Checked it today and was like: ah, good old sleep apnea.
