Toilet Tank Fitting Market Latest Industry Trend, Challenges, Strategy Forecast,  2023-2032
The infusion of cameras on smartphones and mobile phone manufacturers improving the mobile cameras has increased the attention of peoples towards clicking more photographs on every occasion may it be a wedding, vacation, get-togethers, or any other occasion. In addition, most of the events today have a selfie booth to click selfies with a vibrant and colorful structure or the booth that is made. With the rise in trend of photography, the skills of solo travelers changed and they started taking selfies in their trips when no one was there for clicking their photographs. Selfie started trending in 2013 and then many companies started developing gadgets, equipment, and other devices for new selfie angles which can capture more appealing images. Selfie sticks are connected to smartphones via Bluetooth, wire, or via remotes which can click pictures when the dedicated buttons are triggered. The selfie sticks are also used by vloggers for shooting vlogs for their social media channels.

COVID-19 Scenario Analysis:
The decline in the tourism industry due to COVID-19 cases has directly affected the demand for selfie stick among the consumers.
The manufacturers are not able to manufacture the products as raw materials majorly electronic and small components are imported from China and Vietnam and the international trade is at a halt.
The market is expected to experience growth once people start moving out for traveling outside and rise after the resumption of tourism activities.

Top Impacting Factors: Market Scenario Analysis, Trends, Drivers and Impact Analysis
Increase in trends of selfies in social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat fuels the demand for the selfie sticks. Moreover, the rise in interest of people toward traveling, growth in the tourism sector due to a rise in disposable income and decrease in travel rates, trending selfie streaks by friends and traveling groups, and craze of selfies with celebrities and stars are the factors driving the global selfie stick market. However, the major constraint of the market is competition from the local market manufacturers supplying at very low-rates. The major innovation in the selfie stick market is related to the infusion of biometric sensors in the selfie stick.
The global selfie sticks market trends are as follows:

New product launches to flourish the market
The launch of new and innovative selfie stick by market leaders has led to new uses of the selfie sticks like a tripod, umbrella, and other essential items. Companies like MPOW have launched “Selfie Stick Tripod 3 in 1” which can be used as a tripod stand, selfie stick, and a ring light for best selfies that are clean and perfectly exposed. Moreover, the selfie stick can be used to install a camera for vlogging and the buttons on the body of stick adjust the light settings and act as a trigger button to click selfies. MPOW selfie sticks are non-slippery which don’t slip from hand and are waterproof which resists a certain level of water splash.
Asia-Pacific has the highest demand and rising demand from tourism
The emerging Asia-Pacific tourism industry has surged the demand for selfie sticks market to an all-time high. The Asia-Pacific market is expected to experience growth owing to the developing tourism industry in countries like India, China, South Korea, Indonesia, and Japan. Also, the high penetration of smartphones in these countries has become another reason for the growth of the selfie sticks market.

Graded Unit Evaluation
EVALUATION
For my project I planned to shoot outdoors. Studio photography has never really appealed to me.  I had many ideas such as landscape, street photography and architectural photography.  The advice provided was shoot something you enjoy but at the same time go out of your comfort zone.  When I am out on my own, nature is where I go, trees, rivers, waterfalls.  They all make my photography experience enjoyable and comforting.  Leading lines are a source of comfort, they are pleasing to the eye and make sense to me. As a result of this I decided to shoot perspective/symmetrical photography.
After doing the research I knew this was the one, this felt right and felt excited by the challenge.  The style of symmetrical photography, vertical, horizontal, and radial encompass all I enjoy. Planning for this shoot was a big piece of work, for instance, a market for the work I created would be for galleries or private collections as I was considering my work to be Fine Art Photography, however, it was suggested that I consider photography stock libraries such as Alamy.  When I explored this further I found out that it is a website, you type in what can of image (waterfall) you want to see and it brings up all these images.  Basically, you can buy and sell images.  I have seen these websites before but never paid much attention up until now.
Initially when it came to planning the timetable, I was doing it as though there was a normal college timetable and that I would be working weekends. Therefore, I would only be out shooting 2 or 3 days a week and there was only 3 weeks to shoot after handing in the Project Plan.  This changed as a result of the Coronavirus Lockdown, at the time I was unsure if I could go out and shoot, fortunately I could, I had more days to go out and shoot. Fortunately I required very little in the way of equipment, I only required a camera and a tripod, no special lighting equipment, just natural light.
As mentioned above the research into other photographers such as Aaron Sisland, Ola Kolehmainen and Angie McMonical made me feel more confident in that the style of photography I was wishing to achieve was right for me. With Sisland’s leading lines and vertical symmetry in his work as too with Kolehmainen and the use of McMonical’s perspective when taking her images which gave them an abstract feel.  I liked this concept of abstract photography with the help of perspective and symmetry.
My first couple of days going out shooting, I wasn’t expecting anything good, I was just making a start, experimenting.  I was fortunate to get a nice shot of Bells Bridge,
Tumblr media
I waited quite a while to get this shot and was hoping to get a shot with no one on it.  This wasn’t possible even with the lockdown restrictions.  This image works for me as a result of the vertical symmetry of the bridge, also the light hitting of the Armadillo and the blue sky.
As I had the car I could travel to various locations in and around Glasgow and as I was on my own the Police didn’t bother with me. I ventured to various places such as The Quay, West End of Glasgow, City Centre, Dams to Darnley and Port Glasgow. Many of my shots were taken in Glasgow City Centre. As I was in the City Centre much of the time and there were very few people and transport around, I made the decision (with advice from my lecturer) to change my project ever so slightly. I was still going to take perspective/symmetrical (they were more vertical symmetry) shots but to capture the empty streets of Glasgow along with the surreal feeling of a bustling city in lockdown.  This was achievable as previously mentioned I could wander about without the police stopping me.  Having said that I did find this an anxious experience, I knew I wasn’t doing anything against the law but when there is a police presence I felt sure that I would be stopped.  Thankfully I wasn’t as I captured images that produced a feeling of sadness.  My project has went from Fine Art to Documentary Photography, a genre that hasn’t necessarily interested me.  Having said that I did enjoy this, it was exciting (not because of the Police) I was documenting how the Covid crisis has had an effect of Glasgow City Centre and every city across the world.  There were one or two people in a couple of my final shots but for me that adds to the desertedness of the city.
Tumblr media
This shot of the entrance at Buchanan Subway is one I like because of the symmetry of the escalators and lights. The eyes follow the lights. This image begins to tell the quietness of a city.
Tumblr media
I took this image initially for the shot of the ambulance then when I looked back at my contact sheets I noticed the young man walking across the street.  No other traffic but an ambulance, no other people apart from the young man.
Tumblr media
I like the perspective of this image, again an empty street (Hutchison Street).  There is darkness in the foreground with the trees and shadows but if you keep looking there is light, optimism.
Tumblr media
This image of the entrance to the footbridge, I like simply because of the bright colours and again it documents the impact of the virus on people’s daily lives, gates that a normally open to the public are now closed. after looking at this image again, i think if i had stepped to the left slightly, the image would have a more vertical symmetry appeal.
Tumblr media
Kelvin Way is normally a busy road for traffic, cyclists and pedestrians.  On that day, as with other days, there was a police presence in Kelvingrove Park. This particular road was closed off at either end.  I specifically took this shot for the perspective of the road and the police van.
Tumblr media
North Hanover Street, deserted, normally busy with cars and buses. There is an air of doom and gloom in this shot with the help of the dark clouds.
Tumblr media
St Enoch Subway, only sign of life there were 3 pigeons.  Aside from the pigeons this works from a vertical symmetry point of view and of course the fact that the place is deserted at 6.30pm.
Tumblr media
Portman Street Suspension Bridge, I love the perspective/symmetry of this shot. Plus I managed to take this shot with no one on the bridge.
Tumblr media
To get this shot I had to stand in the middle of the road, this is looking up towards Cathedral Street.  I like the fact that I have captured the ‘no entry’ painted on the road. Some’s up the situation at present.
Tumblr media
I took this image on Buchanan Street, again to illustrate the emptiness of the city.  There is only one person standing at St Enoch centre in that entire vicinity.
Tumblr media
Glasgow Green, there were cyclists, joggers and dog walkers going about their way but I managed to take this shot with no one in it. I like this image as there is a focal point, the Glasgow Commonwealth Statue), the eyes are drawn to it with the help of the trees at either side.
Of course, I complied a workbook detailing everything I had shot on each day, any changes to original idea, further research, contact sheets, my thoughts on each.  Similar to a journal.  This was a big piece of work in itself, I actually found this more daunting than the photoshoots as I do not consider my self to be artistic/creative.  As daunting as it was, the workbook was a therapeutic process and reflecting on the day’s work enabled me to explore other ideas.  When completing the workbook and looking at the contact sheets I could see my mistakes which made me critical of my work, this wasn’t a bad thing as it gave me the push to do better the next day.  This could be considered a positive.  Another positive aspect in the project was the Plan.  More so the feedback I received.  This gave me the confidence and the boost to start.  My biggest downfall my research or rather lack of research.  However, for the purposes of my Plan, research was a requirement and in doing so gave me the drive and excitement for my Graded Unit. Areas than have been successful?  The fact that I have found a new genre of photography that I like, this too is a positive.  I do like street photography, but this was different, hardly a soul to be seen, hardly traffic to be heard.  This made me look at Glasgow in a different way
With everything there are always opportunities for improvement and photography is no exception.  The main area I feel I need to improve on is retouching (Photoshop) I can do the basics, adjusting black, whites, shadows etc in Lightroom.  A tool I did come across was a tool called Transform which fixes any perspective distortion.  That came in handy when the image didn’t quite look level. I try to avoid Photoshop as much as possible as layer masks and the like confuse me.  Therefore, I use either Lightroom or Bridge.  Another area of improvement is composition, I always thought I had that covered.  I started using 3x3 (in camera) rule of thirds to see if that would help.  It did but I don’t want to use that tool.  The issue with composition was brought to my attention my lecturer, I would maybe have to much sky or road in my shots. Fortunately, I can easily work on that. For me, the big issue is retouching.
 CONCLUSION
I feel that I cannot properly write this evaluation without bringing in the impact of the Covid – 19 virus.  This didn’t have an impact on me in that I had to re-think my Graded Unit. I could still go outside; I wasn’t relying on college equipment such as studio lights, cameras, tripods.  I knew from the very beginning my photography would be completed outside.  The impact on me was my mental health, more so motivation to do the work.  Everything was up in the air. But I did it, got out the house with my camera and got on with it.
I was lucky, the only change I made was what I was going to shoot and where.  It was going to be city based not based amongst nature.  The main emphasis would be the surreal loneliness of a once busy city. As I have a car, I had no issues with getting to locations.  As mentioned above, there was a police presence in the city centre and as such felt rushed into taking the shots, this may have contributed to some poor quality images that I took and the fact that the tripod I used was not very sturdy for the camera (Nikon D7100 and Canon 700d).  To combat this I started using my monopod and mirrorless cameras (Canon m100 and Sony a6000). I also purchased a sturdier tripod which is yet to be used.
Some of the time I felt I was taking photographs just for the sake of taking an image, just to have something to show and in doing that would maybe only have one or two images I was happy with. Some days I would have nothing but rubbish shots but determination/learning/growth come from failures.  The rubbish days gave me the push to do more and not give up.  The big lesson there was and is not to give up and believe I can do this.  That is another area that is in need of improvement, my self-belief in my photography. When I’m not under pressure I can produce good shots but when I am feeling the pressure my nerve goes, I don’t feel confident.  Now that that I have completed my Graded Unit I feel a sense of achievement as this was a big and important project.  This was achieved in strange and difficult times.  I can learn much from this experience for when I go into year 2 of my HND. Buy a bigger workbook, do more research, learn more about Photoshop and most of all believe in my ability as a photographer.

Personal Project Plan Change PT 2.
As I stated in my last post that I would need to change my personal project topic due to the ongoing issues with COVID-19.
Aim:
My aim for this project is to show how the Coronavirus has effected my local community and surrounding area. I want to show what has happened around me and record these events in history, which hopefully will never happen again. I would like to make my series of 10 images has a documentary type of feel to them, as if they would be used by news programs or news papers.
Target Market:
The target market for my proposed images would most likely be the media such as magazines and newspapers etc as they would show current events displaying the crisis.
Another market I think my images would work well in is a gallery/museum. This would be a good market as there could be a section dedicated to the corona crisis with images of local communities and the effects to that area.
Techniques:
Some techniques I would be using is and extended depth of field e.g. f8> This would be used to show perspective and distance In my images.
Another technique I would like to use is to have the use of a telephoto lens to flatten perspective. I think this would look good with the images I plan on taking, e.g. I want to shoot down a road where all the shops and business either side are shut and I think this lens would be a good use for this purpose.
As for then 10 final images I was thinking of 5 during the day, and 5 at night to show how the virus effects all aspects of life even at night. This is not too far off of my original idea for night photography in the city.
I would also like to take some portraits of people wearing masks during the pandemic as I think it would be good for my project to show how people are coping with the situation.
I have some concerns, one being I am finding it difficult to focus and come up with interesting ideas during this time and I am worried it will have a negative effect on mu final project.
Aesthetic:
For the 10 final images I would like to have a shared commonality with all of them, as some may show different areas of the crisis. To do this I would like to have a desaturated edit to the images to convey the emptiness in the towns and citys around the UK right now. However, I may also like to have black and white images as they may look more impactful this way. So I would like to experiment with both effects and find out which edit fits my series of images best.
Equipment:
Camera x 1
Spare Battery x 1
50mm Lens x 1
18 - 55mm Lens x 1
Tripod x 1
SD card x 1
Flash Gun x 1
Reflector x1

Above shows an image of a doctor at the front line of the pandemic in Italy, one of Europe’s hardest hit countries of the corona virus. The photographer Alberto Giuliani has captured this doctor after a long, tiring shift were he is finally able to take of his mask which reveals imprints. This doctors facial expression and mood convey the stress and pressure they are under during this time, even though this image doesn't show much on the surface, there is a lot of meaning behind it. I love the simplicity of the image and is something I would like to try with my own project.

This image was taken in Milan Italy by Getty images. It shows people walking in the street with face masks which has become the new normal. I like this image as it shows that eve amongst the crisis, people maintain their normal lives, commenting to work, buying food etc. In this image these people seem un concerned of the invisible danger that surrounds them as they feel protected by the face masks. This is something I would like to capture for my own personal project as I think it is a very powerful image and an important one that shows what happened during the pandemic.

Tumblr media
Above shows a couple still trying to be intimate during the epidemic by wearing masks. I like this image as it shows that during this time of social isolation and feeling alone, this image shows that we are all going through it together. This is some of the photography I would like to capture for my personal project as it shows the will of human nature not to give up.
https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/photos/shop-shutter-closed?mediatype=photography&phrase=shop%20shutter%20closed&sort=best
Tumblr media
This image shows the economical impact of the coronavirus and something I would like to show in my own project. I like the long focal length shot of the shutters being closed for the whole frame, showing the social impact of peoples small businesses. I also like that the person in the frame is wearing a mask again linking back to the current crisis. I also like the colours in this image as they seem desaturated to an extent, conveying the empty feeling at the current moment. This is something I would potentially like to do for my project as I find it quite visually interesting.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11188481/london-empty-streets-coronavirus-measures/
Tumblr media
I like this image as it shows the empty streets due to the pandemic, which otherwise would be busy with people, cars, bikes etc. This image was taken in London at night were this street should be bustling with people and yet it is deserted. I like this image as it shows the extent that the coronavirus has effected the public.
These are they type of images I would like to shoot for my personal project as I am intrigued by the whole crisis and I think it is especially important to document it as it has never happened before and hopefully never happen again.

People Make Glasgow Research
Thursday the 17th of September
My Aim
When it comes to 'People Make Glasgow', I consider the rush of Buchanan Street as it's been something that can intimidate people - myself considered - about the city. Despite the current COVID-19 situation, I still feel that the street will be filled with shopping enthusiasts and workers. I aim to produce a wide range of images using different focal lengths and shutter speeds. A tripod will be my accomplice.
Street photography is about the movement and the people more than the quality of the shot.
Photographer 1 - Po-Ying Lin
Tumblr media
Upon initial research into street photography, I stumbled across this image by Po-Ying Lin which really demonstrates the 'rush hour' aspect. This project has now changed too 'People Make Glasgow' but I aim to create a sense of a busy street. Despite the image being published in colour, I feel it still demonstrates the gritty aspect of people in a rush. The shutter speed has clearly been decreased to allow movement with the addition help of a tripod; keeping the train, barriers and some individuals in focus. If this was in black and white, it would create a deep and powerful impact due to the quantity of bodies, highlights and shadows. My eyes are drawn to the one man stood at the top of the stairs as he is almost in perfect focus. Depending on my location, I hope to capture individuals in and out of focus.
Personally, I find this image ticks all the boxes in terms of what I aim to shoot.
Photographer 2 - Gabi Costea
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I chose the first image as it seems to mirror Glasgow buildings. I expect the crowds in Glasgow city centre will be similar to the one in this image. Again, this image definitely used a tripod as the man on the bench is in focus. In regards to focus, I don't want to dwell on that too much as the black and white conversion along with the high contrast final outcome will lose the focus slightly and increase the grain. As we can see, there is a wide selection of people walking away from the camera, including one cyclist. I find it to be very successful in regards to the 'street' atmosphere as it captures people going about their business with light movement and is also converted to black and white - a very important aspect.
A second image of Costea's that I found though their Instagram may not be black and white but it is very similar to Po-Ying Lin's - first photographer - in the sense of rush as the movement blurs into one. I find it so bizarre as there is a large group of people in that image yet most of them would not be identified due to the movement and slow shutter speed.
Photographer 3 - Bruce Gilden
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After being inspired by some fellow classmates, I want to experiment with a style of street I've never tried as it’s out of my comfort zone. Almost an incognito style, capturing people as they are without the fixed pose, allowing the true ‘People Make Glasgow’. Both images are featuring two main ‘characters’ with a surrounding scene. The top image is focused on the two laughing men, one of which opening his car door. The image is a great inspiration for this project as it shows a different aspect/story to the second image. I think my favourite aspect of the first image is the composition. It's not completely focused on the two men with a close-up style but takes in two sides: the background and the foreground. People in the background are too busy to notice the two men, whereas the two men are too busy laughing to notice the passerbys. The first image is lower in contrast than the second image. I find that the stronger contrast is the reason for it being my favourite image of the two. As well as that, the second image is completely different and unusual. Makes you question the scenery.

Documentary Proposal
Potential titles:
Is normality lost forever?
Our Disorientated Reality
Disorientation within our altered Reality
Synopsis (200 words max):
My documentary will consist of photographs that show our new world by identifying the atmosphere's dramatic changes in the external landscape due to Covid-19. I will look at photographing the modifications made everywhere to ensure social distancing is executed; I will also capture disregarded PPE. Lastly, I will look at photographing closed establishments that the pandemic has affected.
I plan to ask my friends how these changes have affected there psychological state of mind during the multiple lockdowns that transpired over the past year. I have the intention to use the audio in the background for my documentary.
Health and safety includes wearing a mask out side and keep 2 meters away from everyone.
Equipment:
DLSR Camera
Tripod
Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Premiere pro
Purpose:
The purpose of this documentary is to show the psychological impacts of the external changes outside. Which also raises the question, when is this going to end? The majority of the UK is working from home or isolated at home with young children causing depression and anxiety to rise. People who already suffer from mental health are struggling to cope.
However, not aspects of lockdown have been all bad for some.
People are starting to focus more on self-care, future aspirations and home DIY projects. Many have considered what's been going on have applied for university this year; the time inside has helped people view their lives from a different perspective, enabling them to set goals and do better. A few of my friends decided to continue with education, so if a situation like this happened in the future, they're financially prepared.
Style:
When I researched photograph based documentaries a majority of them included black and white images, I believe removing the distraction of colour will make the overall video more intense as it will allow the audience to focus on the seriousness of the photographs.
I was inspired by the ‘In Guns We Trust’ Doc, and I also looked at the photographer, Matt Black.
B&W
Dark perimeter
Grainy effect
Audience:
18-25 I believe that people in this age range like myself are missing mass social gathers which are trigging mental health issues.
Practical Considerations (filming/editing resources, locations, contributors - Covid considered):
Ask permission to feature my friends audio for the voice over
Health & Safety include, wearing a mask on location photography, keeping socially distanced from others
Locations include, Birmingham city centre, Bull Ring, Broad Street, Children’s hospital

Voyage Dallas Bounce Back Strong Campaign
Given the unprecedented economic impact of the Covid-19 health crisis, we think it’s more important than ever to encourage our communities to support small businesses, mom-and-pops, independent artists, creatives and makers and help them bounce back strong.
Often people want to buy from and support local entrepreneurs and makers but don’t know how.  They might want to get in shape but don’t know how to learn about non-chain gym fitness options.  They might want family portraits but don’t know how to find the right photographer.  The Bounce Back Strong Campaign is about highlighting local businesses, creatives and makers, because learning about the local options is the first step someone can take towards supporting them.

Stephanie Magilow | Owner of Jammit Jam
My name is Stephanie Magilow and I’m the owner and creator of Jammit Jam. We produce low-sugar jams that are full of amazing flavor combinations. We call these our “Beyond Toast” jams because we encourage our customers to cook with them too and have great ideas on the back of every label. We love to add them to cheeseboards, glaze them on meats, use them as dessert ingredients, and of course they are delicious on toast and PB&Js too. Our current flavors are Apple Cinnamon Bourbon, Blueberry Balsamic Black Pepper, Cherry Clove Cabernet, Peach Thyme Prosecco, Raspberry Ginger Stout and Garlic Pepper Jelly. We also carry a line of caramel sauces too – Bourbon Vanilla Bean Sea Salt Caramel Sauce (made with real vanilla beans – you can see the caviar in every spoonful) and a Mexican Chocolate Caramel Sauce (made with dark chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, and a bit of heat). Most of our jams are only 6-7 grams of sugar per tablespoon, and all of our products are made with all real, clean-label ingredients…no preservatives. We started our business in 2014 and are nationwide now, mainly in specialty grocers, gift shops, and wine and cheeseshops. We are passionate about food and sharing recipe ideas on Instagram and Facebook.

Bria Rogers | Owner/Curator of GoldenPyramidSunnies
My name is Bria Rogers and I love art. All of it. I come from a small town in Texas with a strong German/European influence that comes from my mother. I started traveling at a very young age to see my family overseas and fell in love with fashion, anything antique and places that were extremely beautiful. Fashion in Europe was so different than in small town, Texas where I grew up. I always admired my mom’s eyewear fashion she had accumulated over the years on her trips. I myself, started collecting vintage eyewear avidly when my mother passed down her (now vintage) collection to me. I kept finding pieces, or like I like to think…they found me! I eventually had a beautiful collection of frames and sunglasses from all over the world..each with a story we will never know. Owning anything vintage…it’s owning a piece of history and in some cases, someone else’s history. It’s as beautiful as the colors that make up the eyewear themselves. I decided to share the beauty and my talent for finding it in 2017 when I created GoldenPyramidSunnies. Each pair in my vintage online collection is curated and chosen by me. I only choose to sell eyewear that speaks to me and screams, “STATEMENT PIECE OVER HERE HONEY!” I want to provide eyewear that can be brought to life again and vice verse. It’s more than fashion. It’s a whole vibe. xxx- Bria

Lori Vann | International Authority on the Treatment of Non-Suicidal Self-Injury
Most people avoid pain, so when people actively seek it out as a way to cope with their stress it can create a lot of questions. The majority of treatment providers are not well-versed in the 20+ forms of Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) and often do not respond in the most therapeutic manner. However, there are those practitioners who have dedicated their professional career to researching, treating, training others, and educating the community about this misunderstood behavior that is significantly more common than what people realize. Lori Vann has directly counseled over 520 cases of self-injury, trained over 1000 professionals, written four books on the topic, developed a curriculum for school districts & treatment centers, and offers the longest-running, exclusively NSSI support groups for teen girls, women who self-injure, and the caregivers of those who self-harm in all of North Texas, and perhaps, the State. Her passion to educate the community and help those who choose injury as a way to cope is evident. She is regarded as an International Authority on the topic. Recently, she started a private Facebook group to post insights, answer questions, serve as a safe place for those who want to know more or be supported, and those who want to be better educated. Check out NSSI: Non-Suicidal Self-Injury FB group and answer the 3 questions to join. https://www.facebook.com/groups/289208102223000/?source_id=598877876826770

Devin Connelly | Video Production & Photography
My name is Devin Connelly with Ethos Media. I’ve been operating in the D/FW since 2013 employing a variety of industry freelance professionals all throughout the company’s history. Our staple service is video production for just about any type of project ranging from studio work to outdoor event coverage.
We’ve helped several inventors get their crowdfunding campaigns off the ground, highlighted a number of community events and non-profit organizations, and worked with businesses on live streaming and a host of promotional content. I’d say what’s special about our business is the ability to be comprehensive when it comes to creating digital tools to get the word out. Traditional video is one thing, but we frequently have combined that with traditional photography and even 360 content as well, which enables viewers to look at a video or photo in any direction. Like many in our industry, we’ve taken a hit from COVID-19 due to the shutdown of all events as well as the economic shutdown which has caused many organizations to tighten up their operating budgets. We look forward to being able to bounce back strong soon and welcome the opportunity to help other businesses bring their content to professional video with a plan on how to use it effectively with their target market.

  Lisa H Harrington
I have four resources right now that could make a difference for local businesses. A couple of them are at no charge!
1. www.Vistage.com: Vistage has opened a great number of resources to the public at no charge. The research department has compiled hundreds of documents, webinars and more to help you navigate stormy waters. Webinars with authors such as Patrick Lencioni & Jim Collins, information about PPP loans and subsequent forgiveness, how to handle remote workforce and much more are available. https://www.vistage.com/leading-in-challenging-times/
2. www.Successinkind.org: This is a new organization out of DFW that is helping match client needs with pro bono coaching resources. Founder Susan Shapiro has set this up so that you can answer a few questions on the website and she will match you to the appropriate coach or consultant in the area. I strongly encourage you to take a look & bookmark this site.
3. Strategy Workshops: I have developed, over the last 20 years, a concise strategy workshop that has helped many people build a solid foundation for their business that will drive them forward into the future. This is now available via Zoom. There has never been a better time to re-calibrate your strategic plan if you have one, and to get one going if you don’t. Since we know that only about 20% of American businesses have a strategic plan, you’re ahead of the game just by having this important conversation.
4. CEO Peer Groups: Vistage membership has never been more valuable. I facilitate the only two groups in the Mid-Cities, Texas area. Please call me if you’d like to know more about why the average Vistage member stays with us for 5-7 years!

Gabriela Yvonne | AI Behavioral Analyst & Product Formulator
Hi there, I am Gabriela Yvonne and I am a product formulator for my skincare brand Mint n Coco, an AI behavioral analyst, and a dance choreographer on my free time. As a product formulator, I carefully craft skincare formulas that are made with clean ingredients while also remaining effective and versatile. Having a science and research background, I have been able to formulate personal care products that people can feel good about using because they’re safe. So many ingredients fly under the radar, and are usually ineffective or possibly causing more harm than good. I wanted to bridge that gap in what is being used in skincare or body care and make a brand that is transparent with what we use, and entirely unique in its own way. Though my team is quite small, we each are able to wear different hats and create products and run a brand that we are truly proud of. The foundation of the brand is transparency and inclusivity. We want people who might otherwise be excluded from access to high quality products, be able to have access. We want to represent different types of people and also take great care of our planet with how we create these products. I really enjoy being innovative with what I am creating and have grown to have an amazing customer base.

Six Conservation Photographers Share What the Environment Means to Them
Celebrating Earth Day – and its 50th anniversary – against the backdrop of COVID-19 is something we’ll likely remember for quite some time.
Earth Day was established in the 1970s during the infancy of the modern environmental movement, and since then there’s no doubt that we’ve made great strides in our understanding of the needs of our planet. (Though, sadly far fewer strides when it comes to our long term progress on many of the movement’s most important issues.)
Eco-activism continues to become more mainstream, which surely is a positive step. Regardless of whether you’re making the transition to metal straws, demanding your elected officials take on the powerful fossil fuel industry, donating to organizations like the Environmental Defense Fund, dabbling in vegetarian or veganism, or just remembering to bring your own bags when you grocery shop, we admire and encourage your efforts.
But what will our planet and the movement look like in the next 10, 20 and 50 years? Without question, our future will be affected by the way in which we tell these stories photographically.
“Messaging is key, a mindset change is paramount. Imagery, instantaneously, will transcend boundaries of gender, age, culture and language, far greater than possible with the written word. Powerful images send those messages deeper into societies,” conservation photographer Pete Oxford tells us.
Photographers have a key role to play in this storytelling, regardless of whether the images center around raising awareness for threatened wildlife due to deforestation, documenting urban sprawl or covering climate change in some of the world’s most remote locations.
Today, we’re celebrating by sharing what six incredible photographers and members of the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP) have to say about the importance of conservation photography on this pivotal Earth Day anniversary.

The deeper knowledge you have of the natural world, how it works, and what it is supposed to look like from place to place, the clearer it becomes what a mess everything is. It is one of the great paradoxes of becoming acquainted more intimately with nature — you realize this thing that brings you great joy and fascination is deeply suffering. I can’t ever go back to joyfully chasing butterflies through a meadow and thinking the world is perfect; I see that the things I love are under massive assault from all directions and it is deeply distressing to me. Sometimes I wish I could stick my head in the sand and just enjoy what there is, but it is only natural to me that my focus changed over the years from simply enjoying nature to documenting environmental issues and wildlife through photography and film to speak up for what I love – to open other people’s eyes to what is happening all around us.

My subject matter is often comprised of insects and other species that are often being lost before people have even had an opportunity to know that they exist. These animals are incredibly important to our world, and yet, if no one is aware of them, how can we ever expect to conserve them? It is my hope that my photos make the world a little more beautiful and wilder for viewers. I believe that if someone can see the beauty of a bee or a spider in my images, the next time that they are in their own backyard, or traveling, they’ll pay a little closer attention to the world around them. Ultimately, it is my hope that this awareness will lead to efforts to take better care of the natural world.
Metallic green sweat bees are gorgeous little insects about the size of a grain of rice. Various species are found throughout North America, where they can be found visiting flowers from mid to late summer. I photographed this particular bee on a humid summer afternoon in South Carolina as it visited a wildflower called black-eyed susan. I often use this species as the poster child of under appreciated insects in our garden. Photo by Clay Bolt.

There are precious few people in the world who have a deep understanding or passion for wildlife, wildness and wilderness. As populations grow, pressures on wildlife increase, leaving the few with more and more urgent work. Messaging is key, a mindset change is paramount. Imagery, instantaneously, will transcend boundaries of gender, age, culture and language, far greater than possible with the written word. Powerful images send those messages deeper into societies. It is time to unite as warriors for the causes of natural degradation. If we each work locally, as much as globally we are far enough flung on the world stage to make a holistic difference. Earth Day is the perfect stage on which to unite.
A local fisherman enjoys swimming with a whale shark as it circles his fishing platform looking for tidbits, Cenderwasih Bay, West Papua, Indonesia. The locals actually revere the whale sharks believing them to be the harbingers of good luck. For many years they have been offering them small quantities of fish. Tourism is just beginning to realize the incredible whale shark experience here and is willing to pay the local fishermen for their help. In Indonesia, the world’s largest shark-finning nation this is a good outcome for the sharks. Photo by Pete Oxford.

I think it is critically important that people see and appreciate what we are at risk of losing and to witness the full impact of the kind of devastation and resulting impacts that threaten our planet. Photography has a unique ability to cut through the mind numbing statistics and endless arguments and communicate in a way which allows the viewer to truly experience the issues in a non-polarizing way in order to come to their own personal understanding and truth.
Alberta Tar Sands, Northern Alberta. Highway 63, dubbed the Highway to Hell by locals, cuts through the world’s biggest energy project and possibly the most environmentally damaging mega-project the Earth has ever seen. In the far north of Alberta, the frigid weather of an evening in March accentuated the greenhouse gasses and toxic pollutants spewing from this upgrader against the constant traffic of the tens of thousands of migrant workers and the magenta hue of the late evening light. I set up my tripod and used a 300 mm lens with a 1.4 extender to compress the scene. As I shot many frames as the sun sank and the temperature plunged I was (predictably) visited by one of the oil companies’ security teams and told I was not allowed to photograph. As I was on public land and beyond the border of their operations I informed them that I was beyond the line where their rules applied if I was breaking any Canadian laws they were welcome to report me to the police. These are all massive idea concepts that are too big for most to connect with in a personal way, which makes it very easy for them to ignore. Much of the population is disconnected from nature—most can’t identify a blue jay in their backyard. My experience with animals is, that when people have a ‘moment’ with a species or a landscape–an experience–they begin to care about it; they want to know more, they want to learn. It comes down to what we know; it’s simple: we will not fight to save something that we know nothing about, that we have no connection to.
For me, telling stories about species, or individual beings, is a way to get people to understand the bigger picture. If I can engage an audience to be interested in, for example, a harpy eagle, because I show its beauty, its natural history, its offspring; I use my personal stories of wonder, and share my unique experiences with the species—if I can engage someone personally, I can hook them, and then feed them more information, which helps the person makes larger connections to big things like deforestation, to conservation, to climate change.
Then, it’s broken down a bit for them, and those concepts become more personal, and as a result, individuals are able to better understand how they play a role in those concepts. But, first, the audience first needs a connection. For me, the images are the bridge to the connection.
I’ve always loved the small critters, the ones we never get to see. This is a crested gecko or eyelash gecko (Correlophus ciliatus) — it is a species of gecko native to southern New Caledonia—and unfortunately as one of the largest gecko species in the world, a coveted pet trade commodity. This species was thought extinct until it was rediscovered in 1994 during an expedition led by Robert Seipp. This gecko belongs to an acquaintance, so I offered to photograph it. I’m always so impressed at how these creatures have evolved, and how they are better designed than anything humans could ever put together. Nature is incredible if we just pay attention. Every detail on this creature has a function. Photo by Karine Aigner.

The world is becoming smaller and a myriad of photographers travel regularly to remote locations, bringing back nature and wildlife images and flooding the internet with them. It can be a bit overwhelming, and our brains are becoming numb. It gets to a point that sharing these images feels meaningless. But again, I think the topics we choose, the way we tell our stories with images, and what we do with those images becomes more important than ever if we are to create awareness in the audience and foster a change in our relationship with the natural world.
Monarch Butterflies in wintering sanctuaries in Mexico. I have worked with Monarch Butterflies for over a decade now and they are one of the most symbolic species in my career as a photographer, almost like my totem animal. They play an essential role as environmental indicators of the health of the ecosystems across North America and their migration is seriously jeopardized by the way we produce our food and by climate change. This image means a lot to me because it is the first one that I published as a professional photographer. Photo by Jaime Rojo.
