What is a Nilah skin you wished was in the game? It could be from an already existing skin line or one you want to see it in the game!

SPACE GROOVE, AND ONE DAY IT WILL EXIST MARK MY WORDS

but really, space groove is perfect for nilah, it's a joyous, fun and colorful skinline, i think nilah would have so much fun in this universe

for this skin i believe it could be legendary tier and her animations should be linked/synched in such a way that every time a combo is played nilah looks like dancing (instead of fighting as in her normal animations)

(nilah is a dancer btw)

imagine the potential of this skin...

i have done some explorations for this skin too; she basically works/owns the Seventh Layer Discotheque and Ashlesh is her loyal assistant, and while running around the place she would meet a lot of different people (and then we enter my more specific/fantastical shenanigans)

also this skin would be super especial to me cause nilah would once again share a skinline with lulu :3

nilah has more potential for skinlines than people think and i believe Star guardian nilah showed that nilah skins can be more than simple chromas (cof cof coven skin cof cof)

I'm not sure how much other people will agree with me but. It's personal gripes I guess.

I know I'm not alone in expecting syndra was going to be the 1820.

Nami is good, and nami deserves good skins. I think the tentacles could use a little more work. I think if they were going to go with a sea witch or sea coven, it could have been an off but connected by universe skin line. Elderwood, Lunar/Solar Eclipse, and Old God are all connected to the Coven skin line.

I was sputtering at the idea that MORDE would be Nami's leviathan old god- BELVETH is right there and fit the shape of the god in the video. Velkoz is right there. If they wanted a suit of armor character, NAUTILUS. but after seeing the actual preview it seems like (as is with the other 1820s) the god isn't included as a champion skin.

I really don't think Akali fit this skin line at all. Nilah fits under the pretense of sea witches, or if they were to turn her whip into brambles etc. Elise's color scheme feels kinda off to me.

It really feels like this years skin lines have been picking a few champions that fit, a few champions that need skins and they don't know what to do with, and filling it with champions that will sell. It leaves me wondering why some champions were entirely overlooked for skin sets- even with the knowledge of what they said before on how they decide who gets put into skin sets and how and why they pick what skin line and what tier skin.

It could be reasoned they thought syndra's voice lines and aesthetic fit too much to make her the 1820.

But then looking at the illusion skin set. Renata and Draven's last skins were Halloween themed skin sets. Viego was in Soul Fighter so sure he was overlooked, but then Milio, the character everyone was making Coco/Encanto/General Disney Spanish jokes about, wasn't included...?

The 1820 Soraka skin, when she has a Variant 1820. Zeri being in the Immortal Journey skin line at all was off- street demon was right after and far more fitting.

I could go on and on. Obviously its all personal opinion, but thats a good part of what this blog has always been.

They could have made Nilah an old goddess, her splashart is rad it's just a waste shes just average flavour coven. That devilish smile, just slap some eyes and make her full armored or more disturbing and she would have done it great.

Hell even Old Goddess Nami. Just make her cooler and more disturbing and you can have her. Syndra?! Goddamn.

hi frend brexitcompleted, just to add some layers so there's no misunderstood: there's nothing wrong with coven

it's actually one of the best skinlines in the game (or was idk everyone's opinion on it since the last batch)

you see i dont ~hate~ coven nilah, i love nilah in fact, but i dont like coven nilah as a product

itsconcept is too simple; the execution was bad; i dont really like the red color they chose for her; the vfx was lacking; the skin is missing the coven flavor in general

and dont even get me started on the release bc they fucken made her whiter (they adjusted it later but...); they refused to tweak the vfx color to match the chromas, they also refused to adjust the skincolor in the icon

this posture from riot upsets me (and to clear it, yes they are in this position for very long and even before nilah was released, im aware of it) and over time it has gotten (and is getting) worse, just look at the amount of mythic scams they have been releasing, that fucking faker insidious ahri skin, and many more questionable decision (i dont even want to touch on the mass layoff topic bc otherwise i will explode in anger)

riot doesnt care about its products, so why should i? however that's where the frustration is cause i care, i care about nilah, i want for her just the best, she deserves it, and it upsets me bc it's my fave riot is mistreating (i think you get me)

in terms of product value star guardian nilah is years ahead, i absolutely loves that they replaced her baggy pants for a skirt, i love her hair, i like the vfx and it's ok if you dont like it, i myself can say that despite everything SG nilah is not a perfect skin, but where SG succeeds in being a skin, coven is merely more than a chroma

however if you ignore the product value, coven nilah is quite special bc it's a universe jared (former rioter and main writer of nilah) has heavily influenced and developed; nami has more than one quote towards her, she has quite the development inside the universe if you consider eclipse nilah

you see nilah coven is hella important in-universe, her looks just dont give it

that's my only problem with coven nilah, it doesnt seem anyone cared about her, but i do, and that's why i speak with sincerity

again, i dont hate coven, me loves a woman that can kill you for the aesthetic, it's just the lack of attention and it's visible that riot doesnt give a fuck about it :/

star guardian nilah is her best skin like she only has two but its her best one
