Prompt 248
Jason… wasn’t exactly planning on going back to Gotham.
Oh sure, back when he’d first gotten his head fixed up by the Pits and then utterly fucked by them he had been planning on a convoluted thing of revenge and getting Bruce to kill the joker and honestly he’s barely not doing that. But a literal six year old declaring your plan was stupid was downright insulting, even if they were correct.
But he’s not going to drag this out. He’s only here for a few days, just enough to take care of things with a couple of Shadows loyal to Talia- and therefor him as well- before Damian is sent over. It was a thing he had argued with her for hours, the whole sending Damian here, but… But it was something Damian wanted, and well, she was paying for college for him. So.
So Joker would die, would never get a chance to hurt his baby brother. It wouldn’t be his first kill- he didn’t regret his previous ones, not when the blood would have been on Damian’s hands instead- but hopefully it would be his last.

despite the popular fanon of serizawa not swearing, i think hes actually more likely to swear than reigen in a lot of cases—reigens been doing customer service basically since he got out of college and has been working with a kid for four years, and is generally just really good at Not Saying What He Means even if he Really Really Wants To. serizawa on the other hand likely spent a good chunk of his isolation on early internet forums and the past three years hanging around adult megalomaniacs who probably didnt give a shit if he swore like an internet user. so i can imagine serizawa as the sort of person who probably doesnt swear a lot in casual speech, but will absolutely say fuck if the situation calls for it.

honestly I'd love to get paid to transcribe podcasts/fix auto subtitles and stuff like that but my understanding of grammar apparently isn't enough to apply to any companies that'd accept freelancers because they have hyperspecific style guidelines o|-< please. i Like checking things for accuracy and copying things down. i would love to make a money doing it.

accidentally unfollowed u trying to send an ask i'm soso sorry T-T but also people who rely on chatgpt for uni are so incomprehensible to me partially because i took a quick college course last year to get into my job, social care, and like can you imagine having a carer or smth who didn't know what they were doing because they cheated the entire time they were learning??? but also like you're in an academic setting they're gonna have shit in place to notice plagiarism and they take that so seriously lmao. AI bros are annoying as fuck
Dw bro but SO REALLLL LIKE. I watched the main person I was bitching about for a while and they're a business student who was using chatgpt to pass a sociology test or something 😰😰 NOT a good sign for the businesses of tomorrow

tbf while the overuse of english phrases can be annoying in croatian this isn't necessarily something new - one only need look into the medieval and new age plays to see lingua franca (italian, latin, german, turkish ) seeping into the commoner language is just a thing that happens when you have a foreign language that's as widely used as the native one. we can be morose abt it but ultimately it's a natural aspect of language evolution. we wouldn't have a lot of dialectal vocabulary if it weren't for this kind of mixing.
That is fair, but i feel like there's a difference in not having a choice but to adopt and adapt, and very much having a choice and just kinda rolling over (hence the cuck comparison).
Like, we didn't have a word for a džezva so we borrowed it from Turkish - we don't have a word for "cringe" so go ahead and say "krindž".
I feel the problem comes when you speak Croatian, but 75% of your production is just fully English sentences, which happens. I've unfortunately been subjected to it way too much by now. It's not a case of "A postaj to na story, a ja ću screenshottat i forwardat Marti" <- you can say post, story, screenshot, forward in Croatian, but it's not the end of the world if you say them in English. The problem is when you say, "Super ti je ispala fotka, you should post it" <- conversations where entire clauses are spoken in English between two people whose first language is shared, and not English.

Conflict Resolution Strategies for Business Communication
Active listening is one of the most important conflicts (agreement that ends an argument) skills. When conflict arises/comes up, it is important to listen carefully to all parties without interrupting or making ideas (you think are true). Active listening involves fully on what the other person is saying, understanding their (way of seeing things / (reasonable/showing good judgment) view of what is and is not important) and admitting/recognizing/responding to their feelings. By actively listening, you can better understand the main cause of the conflict and find a solution that makes happy both parties. You can join online spoken English course or spoken English live classes to enhance these skills.
