Why Business Owners Should Think about Using Courier Services in London
Summary:
Here, in this article, we will discuss some of the most prominent benefits of using courier services in London for business.
Body:
Running a small business doesn’t just mean hiring more and more employees and confirming that everyone is doing their job appropriately. There is a wide array of important elements that are needed to be addressed that many business owners don’t realize. A simple decision a small business should make is how to deliver the commodities properly. Should someone in-house splurge time away from the organization to make deliveries or should a courier service be used? If you are confused, then let’s discover a few incredible ways a small business will benefit from using courier services in London.
Tumblr media
 Incredible Delivery Speed
One of the most significant advantages enjoyed by small businesses that use a courier service is the fast delivery speed. When it comes to using traditional mail, your fleet of vehicles, or a nationwide organization, nothing can beat the rapid speed of a courier service provided by a reliable company. Your goods will never alter hands during the delivery process, accelerating not only speed but also safety. It also won’t stay for days in a warehouse waiting to be delivered.
Reliability
Courier services proffered by a professional courier company can give you peace of mind. A courier company will take care of your package like it’s their own, ensuring it is delivered to the concerned destination without being misplaced or hampered. Many courier companies also proffer tracking software so you can check your package’s whereabouts. Courier services proffer email delivery notifications also.
Trying to send mail by using traditional methods can give a very annoying experience. It is very convenient for packages to be lost or delayed, making it very exasperating when it comes to making efforts to deliver important items to associates and businesses.
A professional look
If items are postponed or misplaced then it can render an awful look to your business, and making endeavors to inform that to someone who was expecting a delivery can come across as a lame excuse. That could equip your business with an awful reputation. You certainly don’t want people to talk bad about your business.
Utilizing a courier service will mean that your commodity will get to where it requires to go on time, every time. That will equip others with a huge level of trust in you or your business and can make you look highly professional. In addition to this, courier companies also have professional Courier Service Agents who carry your goods safely.

Gig Workers: United States, Prop 22, and Canada
Tumblr media
“Are gig workers employees or freelance contractors? ... California lawmakers last year passed legislation that reclassified gig workers as employees. The backlash from gig economy companies was immediate, and Uber and similar app-based businesses have committed nearly $200 million to support a state ballot measure — making it the costliest in state history — that would exempt them from the law. .... Prop 22 is designed to exempt a few industry players from a statute that those same companies have improperly ignored since it was put in place. The ballot measure also would codify a system that denies workers full benefits, local minimum wage guarantees and stability — things that are especially crucial during the coronavirus pandemic.”
“Gig industry giants long ago settled on treating their workers as independent contractors, which allows flexible hours for workers but spares the companies the expense of extending benefits like employer-paid health insurance and reimbursement for fuel and vehicle expenses. That structure — along with not having to pay severance, payroll taxes and for unemployment insurance — helps to keep their costs low. ... Nearly three-quarters of gig laborers work 30 hours a week or more — they are already effectively full time, but they enjoy virtually none of the protections that full-time employees do.”

Gig Workers in Canada
“In February, Foodora workers won their case at the Ontario Labour Board, after it ruled they had been incorrectly classified by Foodora as independent contractors, but were in fact dependent contractors. The redesignation meant employee status for the couriers, winning them the right to form a union. Before they could count the ballots, Foodora pulled out of Canada completely, in a move which CUPW alleged was union busting, but Foodora said was due to bankruptcy. Nonetheless, Foodora workers successfully certified their union on June 12, and in August, workers won a $3.46-million settlement from Foodora in light of the company's abrupt departure.”
“Uber v Heller is a proposed $400-million class action suit following similar logic to that of the Foodora instance: that Uber drivers should be legally recognized as employees as opposed to independent contractors. Without employee status, workers do not have access to the rights and protections offered under the Employment Standards Act, including the right to organize. The class action alleges that currently, Uber drivers are subject to many violations of the ESA, and that Uber has intentionally misclassified them. A preliminary ruling from the Supreme Court of Canada earlier this year has paved the way for the class action to proceed. The case before the SCC pertained to Uber's arbitration system, which previously required workers to take their claims to the Netherlands where they would be subject to Dutch law, and pay a $14,500 filing fee to do so.”

Fallout Oc Companion Meme
Tumblr media
I got tagged by @satanasss666 to do this! This is a “Lynn never became courier 6 so she never got shot in the head and instead was just the weird part-time mailman, rich ncr girl au”
This ended up being way longer than I intended so I’m putting it under a read more. Hopefully it’s easy to read ;; I don’t write all this for nothing.
You have a chance to find Lynn at any ncr camps, although you will always have a higher chance of finding her at Camp McCarran. If you don’t have her recruited as a companion and she’s wandering a camp the npcs around may have special dialogue the mentions her being there. If you have high enough speech or barter you can convince Colonel Hsu at McCarran to call Lynn to the camp. It’ll take a day for her to get there however. She will not be recruitable if the player has positive reputation with the powder gangers.
 Name: Lynn Elizabeth Chelsea
Weapons: Sweetie (her gold club, it has a unique texture covered in stickers with chipped pink paint and a bow tied to the handle), power fists, and a plasma defender.
Companion perk: Keeping the Peace: ncr will never be hostile regardless of the players reputation. Player will gain almost double the reputation with the ncr each time rep is gained.
Dialogue:
I think we should travel together: “Oh thank god, I thought you’d never ask! {whispered} Just between you and me, I’d rather be anywhere but here.” / “I knew ya wouldn’t survive being away much longer”
Use Melee: “{chuckles} Yeah, just my speed.” / “{squeals} Oh fun! Ya won’t regret this!”
Use Ranged: “Uhh you sure ya wanna do that?” / “{groans} Ugh do I have to? Can’t you do it?”
Open Inventory: “Having fun digging through my pockets huh?” / “Probably for the best I carry it yeah?” / (If you take any of the stuffed animals) “HEY! Don’t touch those they’re...{quietly} just don’t touch them okay?”
Stay Close: “Don’t even have to ask doll.” / “You don’t have to beat around the bush ya know? I’ve seen the way you look at me {chuckles}”
Keep Distance: “Aww what, ya don’t like me anymore?” / “That’s good too! Ya know the view from here is great. {laughs}”
Stealth: “Was that a joke? That’s not funny ya know.” / “Ah yeah, that’s code for “fail miserably and die” right?”
Back up: “Agk sorry!”
Be Passive: “You sound like dad ya know that?” / “{chuckles} ya gotta be soft like a lamb right”
Be Aggressive: “Oh you’ve made me the happiest girl in the world!” / “Well dont tell Hsu or we’ll both be in trouble.”
Use Stimpaks: “Oh you’re the doctor now?” / “{grumbles} If I need one I think I could decide for myself don’t ya think?”
Wait Here: “I’ll try.. not promising anything.” / “oh... yeah... okay...”
Follow me: “YOU CAME BACK!!! I mean uhh...yeah lets go!” / “Ah you’re back, thank god!”
Send to the Lucky 38: “{Gasps then squeals} Really? Like really really? Can I sleep on your bed? Are there holotapes there? I’m gonna steal your food is that okay with you? Ca-” (Player cuts her off) “Oh.. sorry.. imma go there now.. bye!”
Send Home: “Really? Are you sure? ...Yeah I guess I have missed dad a bit...” / “You’re gonna come get me again right?”
Combat: “Sweetie it’s fighting time!” / “Finally some action!” / “Oh boy... We got friends here!” (if enemies are raiders) “Don’t kill them. I wanna deal with it..” / “Not so fun now is it?”
Death: “...cold... so.. cold..” / “That’s... not good...” / “In my bag... quick... I-...”
Lynn has a few special dialogue moments at certain locations.
If the player shoots when there are no enemies around she will say, “GAck jesus watch out, don’t you think I have enough scars?”
When travelling to any ranger station she’ll say “Oh dad used to bring me here... not very often, but sometimes! ...Not like there’s much to see here.”
When traveling to Camp Golf she’ll mention that “It used to be like the others... ya know the big military camps that “get stuff done”... but now it’s just full of kids that I don’t think wanna be here.”
Lynn will comment on McCarran saying “Dad comes here a lot! So watch out... he might kill you with hugs if he catches us...” but she will only comment if you did not recruit her in McCarran.
She will also comment on the dam warning you to “watch out for Moore.. she’s got claws..”
Lynn will also give you one warning before she leaves you’re party permanently.
If you gain high reputation with the powder gangers while she is recruited she will pull you aside and tell you “Listen, I’m not trying to tell ya how to live your life, but if this is gonna be the way you’re acting then I don’t think I want anything to do with you...” The player will need to pass a small speech check to promise her you wont continue helping them.
If you continue to gain reputation, help the Khans get drugs to the fiends, or attack Camp McCarran Lynn will once again initiate a conversation “YOU BASTARD! You promised me you would stop, why would you help them? Do you like to see me hurt is that it? This whole time I trusted you just for you to turn around and do this? I... I think I should leave...” After this the conversation will end and the player will get a message saying Lynn has gone back to Camp McCarran. The player will also lose major reputation with the ncr and no longer be able to recruit Lynn as a companion as well as random npcs around the mojave will start to mention you hurting Lynn. If you attack McCarran before the first warning Lynn will leave without any dialogue.
Aggression: Aggressive
Confidence: Foolhardy
Assistance: Helps friends and allies
Various people around the mojave will comment on Lynn:
Ncr soldiers will say “Is that August’s kid? I thought she hated coming outside?” / “Lynn? How’d you get her out?” or “Uhh does your dad know who you’re traveling with Lynn?”
Freeside residents will say “Hey Lynn! Y’all running jobs for your dad?” / “When you go back home could you tell Gus I need some help?” and “You’re in good company there!”
While Freeside drunks will ask Lynn for some caps saying “This is the last time I promise.”
The Followers of the Apocalypse say “Lynn! Is that a new recruit?” / “Julie is upstairs if you’re looking for her!” and “Y’all looking for Arcade? He’s in one of theses tents... probably..”
AAAA this ended up being way too long but it was fun! I hope the read more i put works... imma post it here and come back later to add her companion quest once i figure that out!
I don’t know who all has done this so if you wanna do it just say I tagged you!

“He’s not prudish. But seeing your dad naked is a lot for a lad to take.”
RG to The Guardian {x}
Tumblr media
Rupert Graves’s eldest son got a nasty shock recently when he went on a school trip to see the 1987 Merchant Ivory adaptation of EM Forster’s gay love story Maurice. “He didn’t know I was in it,” the actor says over a morning cappuccino in a north London brasserie. “He went, ‘Argh! No way!’ and ran out.” He actually fled the cinema? “Yeah. ‘I can’t watch my dad naked on screen in front of all my mates. Can’t do it.’” He might also wish to steer clear of A Room with a View, which his father made with the same team two years earlier — his film debut, in fact — and in which he is seen throwing off his clothes to cavort in the lake and scamper through the undergrowth. “He’s not prudish. But seeing your dad naked is a lot for a lad to take.”
Some people would be positively thrilled at the prospect of a naked Rupert Graves: his devoted fans, the GravesDiggers, for example, or Mark Gatiss, screenwriter and star of Sherlock, in which Graves plays Inspector Lestrade. “I’ve had a crush on Rupert Graves since I was 14,” Gatiss admitted in 2014, then added: “Who hasn’t?” Graves, 56, who is today wearing round-framed glasses and a bedhead of salt-and-pepper hair, keeps his kit on in his new film, Horrible Histories the Movie: Rotten Romans, a big-screen version of the popular CBBC franchise which comes on like Monty Python Jr. He plays a centurion whose unexpected pauses keep wrong-footing his underlings. Thinking he is telling them to attack, they gather up their weapons in preparation, when what he has really said, if they’d only waited, is: “‘We attack!’ … would be the words of a rash man.” There’s nothing here to embarrass any of Graves’s five children, give or take the rap he delivers on horseback (sample line: “I’ve got 99 problems but a bridge ain’t one”).
He shrugs when I ask what the secret is to playing comedy. “I haven’t really done any. It’s stylised reality, isn’t it? Picking out bits and exaggerating them. But it’s got to be true.” Of course, he’s been funny in films before. He was superb as the lodger romantically involved with his landlady and her daughter in Intimate Relations. There was that bit, I remind him, where he wanted to accuse Julie Walters’s character of being a hypocrite but he couldn’t think of the word so he ended up shouting: “You’re a hippo!” He smiles back at me blankly. He doesn’t remember it. And last year he was in Swimming With Men, a kind of underwater Full Monty. “Yeah but I wasn’t playing an insane centurion doing a rap,” he laughs. “OK, I was an insane guy with a nose-clip on doing synchronised swimming, but it’s not quite the same.”
If there has been any pigeonholing, it came at the start of his career, when his performances in those Merchant Ivory films, as well as in two by Charles Sturridge, Where Angels Fear to Tread (Forster again) and A Handful of Dust(Waugh), encouraged misconceptions about his background. His name only sealed the deal. “Do you know what? Genuinely, it helps in this business being called Rupert. I’ve sniffed that attitude in acting: the Oxbridge thing. Making movies isn’t a cheap exercise. You need money and the knock-on from that is the industry is populated by a lot of posh people. It’s very hard to break into if you’re not middle class and privately educated.” Or if you don’t have a name that suggests you are. But if being called Rupert boosted his chances, it was a blight on his early years. “I hated it as a kid. I really wished I was called Pete.” Were there any significant Petes in his life? “Only Peter Purves on Blue Peter. Rupert is a ridiculous name in 1970s Weston-super-Mare. Ridiculous! It’s like being called Basil.”
Graves speaks in short bursts and clipped sentences as though he’s slightly out of breath, but he is at his most fluid when conjuring up the landscape of his youth. “It was one of these strange and dying seaside towns where the package holiday had killed off most of the trade, so the hotels had to lower their prices. It was the end of a line. A decaying, Thatcherite, druggy sort of place with no investment and no hope. I was always being chased by skinheads. It had some peculiar qualities, being by the sea and near Cheddar, some beautiful land. And it was blasted by the weather, which comes up the Bristol Channel and thumps Weston first. As a kid, it was great to hide behind the buildings as waves would smack them. The weather was physical and exciting. It gave the town character.”
At school, he was dreadfully shy and suffered from a stammer, but was also an incorrigible show-off. “I was hyper. My shyness meant I overcompensated, just to get anything out of my mouth at all. I had to summon up so much courage to even speak and then I got carried away because I’d mustered all that energy.” He went to a speech therapist to overcome the stammer and it was she who spotted his acting potential. Turns with the local operatic society followed; he also performed at the end of the pier, miming to songs and delivering Victorian comic monologues. What did he get out of it? “The warmth of the approval.” He found himself an agent from the back of the Stage (“I don’t even think we met”) and took on bits and bobs of TV work while still at school, including his turn as a prefect — his first toff — in the spy series Return of the Saint.
He adored working with James Ivory. “He would say things like, ‘Put your pipe in upside down.’ ‘Why?’ ‘Because it’s funny.’ He was right. It was funny. In a Magritte sort of way.” But people started cooling on the costume-drama craze at the end of the 1980s. “There was a backlash. I thought, ‘This is really unfair!’ I didn’t go to any fucking posh schools and I was getting lumped in with that.” The director Alan Parkerfamously derided the Merchant Ivory output as “the Laura Ashley school of film-making.” Graves scoffs. “That was horrible. Really stupid. Forster was actually trying to say something.”
But he was looking for a new direction around that time anyway. “The whole industry thought I was Posh Rupert and I wasn’t. I didn’t know people who lived in Fulham and Chelsea, I didn’t know what they thought or what they ate for breakfast.” He reacted by taking on parts which were worlds away from parasols and linen trousers. The most notable was Open Fire, a 1994 TV film written and directed by Paul Greengrass, in which Graves was ferocious and banshee-like, all nails and hair and heels, as the real-life cross-dressing criminal David Martin. He also played a laddish motorcycle courier reunited with a transgender school pal in Different for Girls. It was theatre that really excited him, though, and still does. “You don’t tend to get typecast in theatre.” He was in Torch Song Trilogy with Anthony Sher, the Broadway run of Patrick Marber’s Closer, Pinter’s The Caretaker with Michael Gambon. When I ask whether there is any screen work that he would like people to catch up with, he says: “I can think of plays.” But they’re gone. “Argh! I know. That’s the beauty of it. And the pain.”
He thinks he could have been a bigger star if he’d worked at that side of things. “I’m just not ambitious in a career-building way. I’m not good at being polite to the right people. I’m not strategically engaged.” He can’t think when he last did something that would count as networking. “People do it. But I never did. I find it a bit grubby. I can see the benefits. I’ve been lucky that I can keep afloat and not be either too hassled on the street or have to do any of the business side of things, which I’m shit at.” Afloat is an understatement: he has excelled in some of Sally Wainwright’s best work (as a dodgy barrister in the first series of Scott & Bailey and as Derek Jacobi’s long-lost son in the third Last Tango in Halifax), and appeared on stage in the acclaimed season of Pinter’s short plays at the start of this year. He will soon be seen as Mr Weston in a starry new film of Jane Austen’s Emma, alongside Anya Taylor-Joy, Johnny Flynn, Bill Nighy and Miranda Hart.
Throughout our conversation, he has been charming company while also giving the impression of a runner on the starting blocks, poised to scarper the second he hears the pistol. Once we’ve wrapped up, he rises to his feet quickly and knocks a knife off the table, catching it before it hits the floor. “That’s the thing about getting old,” he says, returning the cutlery to its place. “I’ve become a dropper. I’m always dropping things.” Is he a forgetter yet? “Oh yeah. But I’ve always been a forgetter. Never remember names. Not even in scripts.” And there I was expecting you to recall a line of dialogue from nearly 25 years ago, I say. He laughs and makes a noise I’ve never heard before — “Nyyyyyyr! Nyyyyyyr!” — and then — on your marks, get set — he’s gone.

Exclusive: Security Reports Reveal How Assange turned An Embassy Into A Command Post For Election Meddling
By Marshall Cohen, Kay Guerrero and Arturo Torres | Updated 3:31 PM EDT, Mon July 15, 2019 | CNN | Posted July 28, 2019
Atlanta(CNN)New documents obtained exclusively by CNN reveal that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange received in-person deliveries, potentially of hacked materials related to the 2016 US election, during a series of suspicious meetings at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London.
The documents build on the possibility, raised by special counsel Robert Mueller in his report on Russian meddling, that couriers brought hacked files to Assange at the embassy.
The surveillance reports also describe how Assange turned the embassy into a command center and orchestrated a series of damaging disclosures that rocked the 2016 presidential campaign in the United States.
Read the Spanish-language version of this story at CNN en Español
Despite being confined to the embassy while seeking safe passage to Ecuador, Assange met with Russians and world-class hackers at critical moments, frequently for hours at a time. He also acquired powerful new computing and network hardware to facilitate data transfers just weeks before WikiLeaks received hacked materials from Russian operatives.
These stunning details come from hundreds of surveillance reports compiled for the Ecuadorian government by UC Global, a private Spanish security company, and obtained by CNN. They chronicle Assange's movements and provide an unprecedented window into his life at the embassy. They also add a new dimension to the Mueller report, which cataloged how WikiLeaks helped the Russians undermine the US election.
An Ecuadorian intelligence official told CNN that the surveillance reports are authentic.
The security logs noted that Assange personally managed some of the releases "directly from the embassy" where he lived for nearly seven years. After the election, the private security company prepared an assessment of Assange's allegiances. That report, which included open-source information, concluded there was "no doubt that there is evidence" that Assange had ties to Russian intelligence agencies.
UC Global did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
Assange, a native of Australia, has always denied working for the Kremlin and has insisted that the source of the leaks "is not the Russian government and it is not a state party." He also said he would have published damaging information about then-candidate Donald Trump if he had received it.
The US announced criminal charges against Assange earlier this year for his role in the 2010 leaks of secret diplomatic cables and Pentagon war logs, which WikiLeaks got from then-US Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning. British police yanked Assange from the embassy in April. He is now serving a one-year prison term in London for skipping bail in the UK, while aggressively fighting extradition to the US.
WikiLeaks did not respond to requests for comment. Assange's lawyers declined to comment. Assange maintains his innocence and WikiLeaks says the charges are "the worst attack on press freedom in our lifetime."
A Guest With Privileges
Assange sought refuge at the Ecuadorian Embassy in June 2012 to apply for political asylum and avoid extradition to Sweden, where he faced sexual assault allegations, which he denies.
The decision to offer Assange asylum was made by then-Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa, who claimed  he was protecting Assange from "political persecution." The asylum also served two larger purposes: It heightened Ecuador's status on the world stage and brandished Correa's credentials as a leading US antagonist in Latin America.
Initially the diplomats hoped to take Assange swiftly to Ecuador. But that plan stalled amid British refusals to allow Assange safe passage outside the embassy. So he settled in for a protracted stay.
Though confined to a few rooms inside the embassy, Assange was able to wield enormous authority over his situation. From the outset he demanded (and was granted) high-speed internet connectivity, phone service and regular access to professional visitors and personal guests. This arrangement enabled him to keep WikiLeaks active, the documents said.
Assange also issued a special list of people who were able to enter the embassy without showing identification or being searched by security. He was even granted the power to delete names from the visitor logs. To avoid surveillance cameras, Assange occasionally met guests inside the women's bathroom, according to the security reports.
This all leaves open the possibility that additional sensitive meetings took place but are still secret.
Quickly, the once-mundane diplomatic mission in the heart of London became a hotbed of tension and suspicion. Throughout Assange's stay at the embassy, Ecuador employed three security companies to conduct constant surveillance. Assange installed his own recording devices and used noise machines to stymie the snooping, according to the documents obtained by CNN.
The task of controlling Assange proved difficult. Fistfights broke out between Assange and the guards. He smeared feces on the walls out of anger.
Assange also maintained direct contact with senior officials in Ecuador, including former Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño, and regularly used those connections to threaten embassy staff, according to the surveillance documents and two Ecuadorian government sources who spoke to CNN. He claimed he could get people fired, even the sitting ambassador.
Assange's authority appeared at times to rival that of the ambassador. In December 2013, Ambassador Juan Falconí wrote a letter to Assange and said that "you cannot give instructions contrary to mine."
CNN reached out to the four ambassadors who overlapped with Assange's time at the embassy. Only Falconí would comment, saying the Ecuadorian government had never pressured him to give Assange special treatment and that he had established rules for Assange to follow.
Several current and former Ecuadorian government officials, including Correa and Patiño, did not respond to multiple requests for comment. While Correa was in office, he responded to criticism over harboring Assange by doubling down on the asylum offer and holding Assange up as a symbol of Ecuador's commitment to freedom of the press.
Referring to Assange, Correa pointed out that "the icon of freedom of expression chooses to take refuge in the embassy of Ecuador," in a 2012 interview with RT en Español, a Spanish-language network controlled by the Kremlin. The Russian government operates television networks around the world to spread propaganda, and it reaches American audiences on its flagship English-language station, RT.
Despite the years of strife, Assange was allowed to stay and prepared to wield his power when the moment was right. That moment came in summer 2016, a pivotal time in the US presidential campaign.
Russia Comes Knocking
By June, Trump and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton had emerged as the de facto nominees of their parties and were gearing up for what would be a bruising general election. The campaign took a historic turn on June 14, when the Democratic National Committee announced that it had been hacked and blamed Russia -- which Trump dismissedas a farce.
Assange was busy back at the embassy. That month, members of the security team worked overtime to handle at least 75 visits to Assange, nearly double the monthly average of visits logged by the security company that year. He met Russian citizens and a hacker later flagged in the Mueller report as a potential courier for emails stolen from the Democrats.
View this interactive content on CNN.com
Also in June, WikiLeaks secretly communicated with Russian hackers and Assange publicly announced plans to release new material about Clinton. The Mueller report says the Russian hackers obscured their identities by using online personas for all their communications with WikiLeaks, which included emails and direct messages to WikiLeaks' account on Twitter.
Assange took at least seven meetings that month with Russians and others with Kremlin ties, according to the visitor logs.
Two encounters were with a Russian national named Yana Maximova, who could not be reached for comment. Almost nothing is known about Maximova, making it difficult to discern why she visited the embassy at key moments in June 2016. During her two visits that month, she met with Assange in the middle of the day in the embassy's conference room.
Assange also had five meetings that month with senior staffers from RT, the Kremlin-controlled news organization.
US intelligence agencies have  concluded that RT had "actively collaborated with WikiLeaks" in the past and played a significant role in Russia's effort to influence the 2016 election and help Trump win. For several months in 2012, Assange hosted a television show on RT.
In June 2016, RT's London bureau chief, Nikolay Bogachikhin, visited Assange twice, and gave him a USB drive on one occasion, according to the surveillance reports. That five-minute visit was hastily arranged and required last-minute approval from the Ecuadorian ambassador.
In an email to CNN, Bogachikhin said, "RT has produced multiple programming featuring Mr. Assange. Within that process, everything that is intrinsically involved in the production of content took place."
The RT bureau chief previously mocked reports about his visits with Assange, jokingly tweeting that he gave the WikiLeaks founder "a whole bag of Novichok," the chemical weapon used last year to poison a traitorous ex-Russian spy who lives in the UK. Since Bogachikhin's post last year, he has remained silent on Twitter.
Shortly after WikiLeaks established contact with the Russian online personas, Assange asked his hosts to beef up his internet connection. The embassy granted his request on June 19, providing him with technical support "for data transmission" and helping install new equipment, the documents said.
This was the same day Assange and his lawyers met with then-Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Guillaume Long, according to the surveillance reports. Long declined to comment for this story.
It's unclear whether Assange told the Ecuadorians that WikiLeaks was working behind the scenes to acquire documents related to the US election. The US government has never publicly accused Ecuador of knowingly helping Assange or the Kremlin.
Creating Chaos From The Embassy
As the election approached, security officials at the embassy noted that Assange released some of the hacked emails "directly from the embassy," according to the surveillance documents. The Mueller report  explicitly referenced that "Assange had access to the internet from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, England." The rest of that paragraph is heavily redacted.
It's unclear whether Mueller ever obtained these surveillance reports as part of his investigation.
Mueller concluded that hackers from Russia's military intelligence agency, known as the GRU, attacked Democratic targets in spring 2016 and removed hundreds of gigabytes of information. They created online personas -- Guccifer 2.0 and DCLeaks -- to transfer some of the files to WikiLeaks and publicly claim responsibility for the hacks, falsely disavowing any Russian ties.
Mueller's team noted that it "cannot rule out that stolen documents were transferred to WikiLeaks through intermediaries who visited during the summer of 2016." Assange has said a small group of associates helped him from the outside, but only to sift through the emails.
The special counsel named one of those associates, German hacker Andrew Müller-Maguhn, and said he "may have assisted with the transfer of these stolen documents to WikiLeaks." The Mueller report appears to contain additional details about this possibility, but those portions were redacted because they contain classified information about sensitive investigative techniques.
Assange has known Müller-Maguhn for years. The hacker even showed up as a featured guest on Assange's short-lived television show on RT in 2012, discussing the future of the internet and digital privacy. Müller-Maguhn is also involved in mainstream technology groups, and served on the board of ICANN, the international organization that governs internet domains.
When contacted by CNN, Müller-Maguhn declined to comment about his meetings with Assange. He previously told The Washington Post that he was never in possession of the hacked materials before they were posted online.
According to the surveillance reports, Müller-Maguhn visited Assange at the London embassy at least 12 times before the 2016 election. During a few of those meetings, Müller-Maguhn was accompanied by another well-known German hacker, Bernd Fix, the reports said. CNN was unable to reach Fix for comment.
The Mueller report says that on July 6, WikiLeaks reached out to the Russian online personas with a request to send anything "hillary related" as soon as possible, "because the (Democratic National Convention) is approaching and she will solidify bernie supporters behind her after," referring to her opponent in the Democratic primaries, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
The trio of hackers -- Assange, Müller-Maguhn and Fix -- then gathered on July 14 for more than four hours on, according to the security logs. The special counsel's report indicates that on this date, Russian hackers posing as Guccifer 2.0 sent encrypted files to WikiLeaks, with the title "big archive."
Days later, on July 18, while the Republican National Convention  kicked off in Cleveland, an embassy security guard broke protocol by abandoning his post to receive a package outside the embassy from a man in disguise. The man covered his face with a mask and sunglasses and was wearing a backpack, according to surveillance images obtained by CNN.
The security company saw this unfold on surveillance footage and recommended that the guard be replaced. But the Ecuadorian government kept him on the job.
On that same day, according to the Mueller report, WikiLeaks informed the Russian hackers that it had received the files and was preparing to release them soon. It's not clear if these incidents are related, and the contents of the package delivered to the embassy are unknown.
WikiLeaks released more than 20,000 files from the Democratic National Committee on July 22, and the emails exposed how top officials preferred Clinton and tried to undermine Sanders. The party's convention days later in Philadelphia dissolved into a chaotic mess. A week that had been designed to engineer party unity transformed into a near-mutiny and the DNC chair, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, was forced to resign.
As Democrats tried to manage the fallout, Trump quickly upped the ante.
"Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing," he said on July 27, referring to Clinton's private server. Mueller said the Russians were listening after all, and tried for the first time to hack Clinton's office within hours of Trump's comment.
'You Won't Be Disappointed '
While Trump and Clinton crisscrossed the country in the final weeks of the campaign, the Russians ramped up their efforts, and Assange was toiling away on another major project.
Russian hackers, posing as DCLeaks, had reached out again to WikiLeaks and offered more materials, writing that "you won't be disappointed, I promise," according to the Mueller report. They later transmitted 50,000 emails stolen from Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta's inbox.
The special counsel report pinpoints a potential date for the data transfer: September 19. On that day, Assange met again with Müller-Maguhn and the security guards observed Assange installing new computer cables in his room, according to the documents obtained by CNN.
WikiLeaks started releasing Podesta's emails on October 7 and released new batches nearly every day before the November election. The media covered all the embarrassing details, including transcripts of Clinton's closed-door Wall Street speeches,  sniping from staffers about her "terrible" instincts and frustrations  about overlap between business and charity, which they dubbed "Bill Clinton Inc."
Trump touted the new leaks at nearly every stop on the campaign trail in the final weeks of the race, sometimes reading directly from emails and seizing on thinly sourced conspiracy theories.
"This just came out -- WikiLeaks! I love WikiLeaks," Trump said at a rally in Pennsylvania, a critical swing state that he carried by less than 1% of the 6.1 million votes cast statewide.
Kremlin-backed outlets, including RT, breathlessly amplified the leaks on social media. On at least two occasions, RT even published articles detailing the new batches of emails before WikiLeaks officially released them, suggesting that they were coordinating behind the scenes, which they deny.
Diplomatic Ultimatum
Not long after the Podesta emails began trickling out, with the election fast approaching, the US government raised concerns with Ecuadorian officials that Assange was using their diplomatic mission in London to help the Russians interfere in the 2016 election, a former US official familiar with the matter told CNN.
The US protest came with an implicit warning: Stop Assange or there will be consequences for Ecuador, just like there would eventually be consequences for the Russians for meddling in the election, and for Assange too, according to the US official and documents obtained by CNN.
Facing this ultimatum, Ecuadorian officials in the capital city of Quito decided on October 15 to cut Assange off from the outside world, shutting down his internet access and telephone service. Even this didn't stop the deluge of email releases, which WikiLeaks continued pumping out every day until the election.
Ecuador soon released a public statement condemning WikiLeaks' involvement in efforts to interfere with the US election but reaffirmed its commitment to protecting Assange. As this geopolitical saga unfolded, the Ecuadorian Embassy received calls from other countries asking about potential US retribution and Assange's physical safety, the security reports said.
The situation intensified three days later. The security documents lay out a critical sequence of events on the night of October 18. Around 10 p.m., Assange got into a heated argument with then-Ecuadorian Ambassador Carlos Abad Ortiz. Just before midnight, Abad banned any non-diplomatic visitors to the embassy and left the building. Behind the scenes, Assange communicated with the foreign minister in Quito.
Within an hour of Abad's departure, he called the embassy and reversed the ban.
By 1 a.m., two WikiLeaks personnel arrived at the embassy and started removing computer equipment as well as a large box containing "about 100 hard drives," according to the documents.
Security officials on site wanted to examine the hard drives, but their hands were tied. The Assange associates who removed the boxes were on the special list of people who couldn't be searched. The security team sent a memo back to Quito raising red flags about this late-night maneuver and said it heightened their suspicions about Assange's intentions.
US intelligence agencies have said from the very beginning that WikiLeaks got the stolen emails from the Russian government, which Mueller also alleged in his indictment against a dozen Russian hackers. But the suspects are all living safely in Russia, so the US will likely never publicly produce a smoking gun or prove in court that Russia worked with WikiLeaks.
Trump was inaugurated in January 2017 and continued to question whether Russia had meddled in the election. Assange's internet access was restored after the election, and he continued to meet with hackers as well as an American lobbyist representing a prominent Russian oligarch.
In Ecuador, Correa's presidential term ended in May 2017 and he was succeeded by Lenín Moreno, a close ally who had been his vice president for more than six years. But after Moreno was elected, he quickly turned against Correa and started undoing many of his policies, including his friendly relationship with Assange.
Justice Department lawyers secretly prepared a criminal case against Assange for the Chelsea Manning leaks. Federal prosecutors even turned to a controversial law to target Assange for actively soliciting and publishing classified materials, which is typically protected under the First Amendment.
In April of this year, Moreno revoked Assange's asylum and said Assange had "violated the norm of not intervening in internal affairs of other states." This cleared the way for British police to forcibly remove Assange from the embassy when the first US charges were unsealed.
Assange hasn't been accused of any crimes related to his actions in 2016. He remains in a UK prison, awaiting what will likely be a grueling battle over his extradition to the US, where he could face spending the rest of his life in prison.
Meanwhile, he still has allies in Russia. Within hours of Assange's arrest, senior officials from President Vladimir Putin's government rushed to Assange's defense and slammed the US for infringing his rights, declaring that, "The hand of 'democracy' squeezes the throat of freedom."
CNN's Laura Weffer, Alfredo Meza and Evan Perez contributed to this report.

Twist Of Fate, Part 21
Kaitlyn x MC (Venus)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The news about Kaitlyn brought a stunned silence over everyone in the room. Grace Liao broke the silence. "Doctor, are you saying we're going to lose both our daughters in the next twenty-four hours?" she asked, fighting back tears.
Dr. Stanfield hesitated. "Mrs. Liao," he began, "I don't want--"
Grace interrupted him. "It's a simple, short answer, Doctor," she said. "We're their parents, that's their daughter, and Kaitlyn's sitting here, fully awake. We need to know. Please... answer my question."
Mary Grace leaped up and started running for the door to Venus's room, only to be intercepted by Annelise. "What are you doing, Gracie?" Annelise asked Mary Grace.
"Getting the fuck outta this room!" Mary Grace replied, crying. "I can't take this, Annie! That sonofabitch won't come out and tell us straight that both Mama and Mommy are gonna die in 24 hours, meaning I'm gonna lose them when I need them the most to tell me how to be a good mother to my baby, Mama might no even wake up long enough for me to tell her I love her one more time and that she's gonna be a grandma, and--"
Kaitlyn said, "Hold it right there, baobei." She walked over to Mary Grace. "Are you saying you're pregnant?"
"Yes, Mommy, I'm pregnant! You're going to be grandmothers!" Mary Grace shouted through her tears. "That's the surprise we were..." She paused, then she grabbed Kaitlyn, buried her face in Kaitlyn's shoulder, sobbing uncontrollably, and continued, "....we were going to give you and Mama for...for your anniversary!"
A weak voice came from the bed, "I bet you're hoping for twins...."
Mary Grace looked up. "Now why would you say that, Mama? Are you-- MAMA! YOU'RE AWAKE!!"
Everybody crowded around Venus's bed, laughing and crying, kissing her. "Jesus, all this attention makes me think I'm dying or something," Venus said, showing a weak smile.
Everyone stiffened in shock. Kaitlyn stared at Venus and spoke, "Not funny, babe."
"You mean...I...." Venus's voice trailed off.
"Not I, baby," Kaitlyn said, looking at Venus with a look of love mixed with sadness. "We."
Venus started to cry. "No, Kait...Nooooooo..." she moaned. She then noticed Dr. Stanfield standing against the wall, a forlorn look on his features. "Doc," she asked nervously, "didn't they come in yet?"
Kaitlyn started to speak, but Dr. Stanfield answered Venus, "Not yet.... Wish they had, though -- it would have made this conversation a lot different, and a lot more pleasant."
Venus turned her head toward the window, staring blankly out it, tears rolling down her cheeks. "It's not fair," Venus said softly, the defeat showing in her tone. "So close, so fucking close, and we're going to die before we get a chance to live...... I tried and I failed.... I'm sorry I let you all down... I'm sorry I failed you babe.... I'm--"
Kaitlyn, taking Venus's hand, interrupted. "You didn't fail anybody, babe. You haven't failed me, no matter what you say or think. Why are you saying that?"
Venus continued staring out the window. "I was going to surprise you," she said. "Doctor Stanfield and I found a company that makes artificial hearts for people in our situation. The survival rate at the ten-year mark is almost sixty percent.... It would have given us a little more time..."
Dr. Stanfield's cell phone rang. "Stanfield," he said into the device. "I'm in the middle of a diff--........... From who??............don't let him go anywhere, I'll be right down!!" He hung up his cell phone and looked at Chelsea, who was staring blankly at the ECG monitor. "McIntyre, come with me! Stat!" he barked, then bolted out the door and raced down the hall, Chelsea following close behind.
Becca, Zack and Chris came into Venus's room, Becca staring down the corridor at the disappearing forms of Stanfield and Chelsea. "What did I just miss?" Becca queried.
"I don't know," Kaitlyn replied. "Stanfield told me and Venus we had less than twenty-four hours 'til dead, took a phone call, then took off like a bat out of Hartford....."
"Bat out of hell, Kait," Venus croaked. "Bat out of hell."
"Hell, Hartford....same difference...." Kaitlyn shot back.
Chelsea came running into the room. "Everybody except Becca and Kaitlyn, out!" she barked. "Kait, strip and put this gown on! Becca, you have power of attorney. Need you to go revoke two DNRs, suspend two living wills, fill out admissions paperwork on one Kaitlyn J. McCarron-Liao, and sign surgical authorization for both her and Venus M. McCarron-Liao."
Becca took off running for the admissions office. Chelsea looked at Venus and Kaitlyn and said, "You two....are going for transplant surgery as quickly as we can get you prepped!"
"That call--" Venus started, but was interrupted by Chelsea.
"Was from the receptionist's desk," Chelsea said. "SynCardia sent your new hearts by courier instead of UPS."
Venus smiled. Kaitlyn stripped and donned the hospital gown, giddy with excitement. "Maybe we get our shot after all, babe! Maybe we get to see our grandbaby after all! And spoil her so rotten! And we get to--"
"Whoa, hold up there, Tex!" Chelsea interrupted. "Let's cover a few minor points first. Kaitlyn, if you don't have a cardiac episode before the surgery starts, your chances and prognosis are very, very good. If you do have an episode, however, what I'm about to say to Venus applies you as well..."
Kaitlyn froze as Chelsea turned to Venus. "Venus," Chelsea said, "you've already had an episode, obviously....Assuming your fatal one doesn't occur before surgery, you've only a twenty percent chance of coming through this alive, ten percent of doing so without complications........do you understand that?"
"I do," replied Venus.
"Are you willing to risk--"
"Yes."
"You're sure?"
"Yes."
Kaitlyn looked at Venus, tears forming in her eyes again. She said, "Venus, baby, I love you. I want you to live more than anything, you know that!" Her voice began to crack. "But if we do this, and I live and you die.... I....I...."
"Will help our daughter be a good mother," Venus finished. "Kait, if I don't do this, I die. Today. Period.......but If I do this and it's successful, I live. I know the odds are in favor of me dying anyway, but at least I'll be going down fighting....twenty percent is better than zero, don't you think?"
Kaitlyn bowed her head. She looked up at Venus, tears still in her eyes, but a faint smile on her face. "Ride or die, babe!" she said.
Venus took Kaitlyn's hand. "Ride or die. Until the end of time," she replied.
Kaitlyn looked at Chelsea. "Let's do this!"
--------------------------------------------------------------------
By the time the rest of the gang arrived, Kaitlyn and Venus were already in surgery. They were thrilled to hear that their two best friends were going to have another chance at growing old with them instead of saying good-bye to them.
About 5 hours into the surgery, Annelise nudged Mary Grace. "Hey, kiddo," she said, "let's you and me go for a walk, get some air, grab a bite to eat. Whaddaya say?"
Mary Grace replied, "I'm not hungry. I don't want to go for a walk. I don't need to get...." She saw the worried look on Annelise's face. "Do I look that bad, like I'm going to have a meltdown?"
Annelise nodded. Mary Grace relented. "Okay, let's take that walk," she said. "Maybe a cup of coffee, too.... And let's take the stairs, Annie. I don't think I can handle a crowded elevator right now. Really I don't."
"I'm cool with that," Annelise answered.
As they entered the stairway, they were greeted by the sounds of a woman moaning with great pleasure coming from above them. Annelise chuckled. "Somebody's getting lucky, she said, laughing. Mary Grace just shook her head, then stopped dead in her tracks when she heard the woman moan, "Oh, Rico, give it to me! Give it all to me! Let me feel your cum explode all inside me, baby!"
Mary Grace and Annelise spun around. On the landing above them stood Mandy, Venus's secretary, completely nude with one leg over the stairway railing. Behind her stood Rico with his shirt open and his pants down around his ankles, thrusting himself into Mandy. With one last thrust, the throbbing of his manhood and her cry of ecstasy indicated that Rico had fully complied with Mandy's demand.
Mary Grace turned, burst through the stairway door, and began running down the corridor with Annelise in hot pursuit. "Gracie! Wait up!" Annelise called out.
Mary Grace didn't slow down. "Leave me alone!" she yelled back.
Annelise broke into a sprint, catching Mary Grace and spinning her around. "Can't do that and you know it, Gracie!" she said.
Mary Grace balled up her fist, drew back, and......collapsed into Annelise's arms, sobbing uncontrollably. "Why? Whhhyyyyyyy?!?!??" she wailed.
Annelise walked Mary Grace gently back to the waiting room. "Let's go sit down....." she said softly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
At the 12-hour mark, everyone in the waiting room was asleep in the chairs or on the couches except for Mary Grace and Annelise, who were staring out the window. "I can't fucking believe it," Mary Grace said with a mixture of hurt and anger in her voice. "And with Mandy, no less! That shit now makes my marrying Rico the second biggest mistake of my life!"
"Second biggest?" Annelise inquired. "What was the first?"
Mary Grace looked down at the floor, then looked at Annelise. "The biggest mistake I have ever made," she said softly and with tears in her eyes, "is breaking up with you...... Annie, I know we thought we were doing---"
They were interrupted by the lights coming on and the doors to the waiting lounge flying open as Dr. Stanfield and Chelsea entered the room. Everyone woke up as Mary Grace walked up to him, looking expectantly. "How are they, Doc?" She asked.
Dr. Stanfield removed his surgical cap and run his fingers through his gray hair. "Well, the hearts are installed and working like they're supposed to. If all goes like it should, you can see Kaitlyn tomorrow morning."
Mary Grace heaved a sigh of relief. "They made it! Thank....." She paused, furrowing her brow. "We can see Mommy tomorrow morning, but not Mama? Why not?"
Dr. Stanfield replied, "We're doing some extra evals of how she and her new heart are doing. We ran into a few complications..."
"What kind of complications?" Mary McCarron asked.
Chelsea gulped and took a deep breath. She then answered Mary in a trembling voice.
"Venus....suffered a stroke on the operating table."

London-based Weezy raises seed funding for its 15-minute grocery delivery app
First there was same-day delivery. Then came one-hour delivery. Now a new London startup wants to make 15 minute delivery a thing.
Putting the hyper hyper-local into online grocery shopping, Weezy combines its own strategically located fulfilment centres with a fleet of electric moped and bicycle couriers, ready to accept orders via the Weezy app. Its founders, Kristof Van Beveren and Alec Dent, think they’ve spotted a gap in the market for an online grocery service that targets “time-poor professionals and parents” who want the speed of an on-demand service but without it being prohibitively expensive.
Investors appear to agree, with Weezy launching out of stealth off the back of £1 million in pre-seed funding from Heartcore Capital, in addition to various individual backers made up of former executives of Ocado, Tesco, Sainsbury’s Chop Chop and Deliveroo.
Starting in London’s affluent Fulham and Chelsea districts, customers use Weezy’s app to select items on their shopping lists -– spanning fresh fruits, vegetables, bread and cupboard fillers, to over-the-counter medicines, cleaning products and alcoholic drinks — and pay. The order is then picked and packed at Weezy’s own fulfilment centre, before being delivered on electric scooters or bicycles within 15 minutes. The service runs between 10am and 10pm every day, charging £2.95 for delivery.
Notably, groceries are sourced not only from selected wholesalers, but also from local independent bakers, butchers and markets, seeing Weezy talk up its support for local businesses. The startup plans to open up to 15 more fulfilment centres in the U.K. capital city by the end of next year, before setting its sights on broader U.K. expansion.
“No other service delivers as quickly,” says Weezy CEO and co-founder Van Beveren. “Our hyperlocal fulfilment centre model works since we are able to optimise the space for fast picking and packing while having low property and fit-out costs, thereby keeping prices in check. This, coupled with our in-house team of riders, allows us to offer the fastest and friendliest grocery delivery service. And, compared to convenience stores, Weezy has better pricing and a broader and more premium range of products”.
In comparison, Van Beveren notes that Sainsbury’s Chop Chop takes up to 60 minutes to deliver (and outsources delivery to courier company Stuart). Amazon Prime Now promises 1-2 hours delivery via Morrisons and its own warehouses, while Amazon Fresh in London offers same or next day delivery.
“Next to speed, we have a full range of carefully curated products and pricing in line with recommended retail prices,” adds Weezy co-founder and COO Dent. “We also only use electric vehicles or bicycles for deliveries. We are committed to creating a supportive culture and the best working conditions for our team of riders, who are also trained to work in the fulfilment centre, and offered opportunities for career progression. Happy staff make happy customers”.

eBay Roundup
Twice a week, we round up the best of menswear on eBay so that our readers don’t have to. For an additional roundup, along with a list of each week’s best sales, subscribe to our Inside Track newsletter.
My favorite items in today’s roundup are these Ghurka bags -- the Expediter, Examiner, and Courier No. 8. They were made back in the heydays of the company, when Marley Hodgson owned the brand and everything was manufactured in the USA. The company has since passed hands a few times, and some of what was once off-shored has now been brought back, but I still think the vintage stuff feels the nicest. The leathers back then just felt heavier and had more of an interesting character.
To find up more menswear gems, try using our customized eBay search links. We’ve made them so you can quickly hone-in on high-end suits, good suits, high-quality shirts and fine footwear.

A Rookie Courier’s Worst Drop
TL;DR Posh shop staff are rude. Entitled rich bitch is too busy to be in for a delivery, also rude. So I ride 14 miles uphill for what should have been a 5 mile drop. After 11 hours in the saddle.
I rock up at a very expensive handbag shop in Covent Garden around 6. I knock on the glass door and the girl behind the counter looks me up and down, turns her nose up and mouths 'we're closed' whilst sweeping her hands with a degree of finality. You know what's worse than entitled rich people? Entitled not rich people who think they're better just because they work for rich people. And you try looking presentable after 11 hours in the saddle!
Five minutes later after mouthing things through the glass, holding my phone against said glass with the shop's address as a pickup, she gets the manager who goes 'oh, a courier' and comes out of the side door with a huge bag with a big heavy 3kg box in it.
I do my usual 'your bag vs my bag' routine and manage to fit the box out of the bag in my bag. Any other time I'd say it's too big but it's a 5 mile job on my way home and the mileage is worth it.
I apologise for being abrupt with his colleague, and explain I've been riding for 11 hours. He says 'just remember you get out what you put in'. I think to myself he's clearly been putting in being a twat as that's what I'm getting out from him.
So I set out to the drop in Fulham, about a mile away from home. I get there, I buzz and nobody's there. So I phone the number on the docket, which it turns out later belongs to some z list celeb from Made in Chelsea
She's like 'yes and who am I talking to?', snappily.  'A courier with a delivery for you from [expensive handbag company]'. 'Oh, well I'm not in. You'll need to deliver it in the morning.'
By this point I'm wearing my unimpressed face. I offer to leave it with neighbours in her very expensive block of Fulham flats. Naturally, nobody answers. I try the blocks either side. Nobody answers.
Phoning control, they tell me I'm gonna have to bring it back. Not to HQ in Angel (6 miles) but to HQ in East Finchley (10 miles away). I get told I'll get mileage though and have my wait time paid so I figure why not.
By this point I'm 12 hours in, cold, tired and in desperate need of a beer. I set out. Back into the centre of London and then north. Very north. Uphill north. On a fixed gear, single speed bike. And the hills get bigger. I'm channeling every badass female hero I can think of to get up these hills.
I finally get to East Finchley at about 21:30 and the controller answers the door and goes 'oh, you're on a bicycle. I thought you were a motorcyclist! I wouldn't have asked you to bring it back if I'd known. You shoulda told me to piss off!'
So yeah. I rode about 15 miles plus just so some entitled Z List Reality TV person could get given a free handbag from a company that wants her promotional power. Fucking rich people.
Oh and the irony? The package was actually a set of bicycle panniers

Courier ordered to pay damages after stallion sperm shipment loses its potency
HALIFAX -- A multinational courier has been ordered to pay damages for taking two days to deliver stallion sperm after a Halifax adjudicator found customers were justified in expecting overnight service.
Augustus Richardson ruled in the small claims court of Nova Scotia earlier this month that FedEx should pay the claimant $740.36 because claimant Chelsea McKendrick had understood "Priority overnight" delivery meant the sperm would arrive within 24 hours after it was sent.
In his Sept. 14 ruling, Richardson said the company hadn't limited its liability last year by publishing advice "in small print" on its website that the delivery may take two days.
The adjudicator said the operator of Owls Ridge Farm in Seaforth, N.S., had ordered the semen from a farm in Langley, B.C., and there was a limited time period that the sperm would be effective.
McKendrick told the Halifax court she had given the mare injections of hormones to trigger ovulation and had incurred vet fees with the expectation that the sperm would arrive on time.
She tried to use the stallion sperm after it arrived on May 4, 2016, rather than the day before, but the ruling says "the sperm had lost is potency" and the mare didn't become pregnant.

Dan’s Papers, quirky East End publication, acquired by Schneps Media
Dan’s Papers, the quirky East End paper which in June bought the Ron Perlman-owned weekly The Independent, has itself been acquired by weekly newspaper chain Schneps Media, The Post has learned.
With the June acquisition, the Independent stopped its weekly edition and the combined company was reflagged as Dan’s Independent Media, which is now being absorbed by Schneps.
Most of the existing staff of Dan’s Independent Media is expected to remain intact.
“Dan’s is the crown jewel of the East End and is made up of communities that will always be coveted by advertisers, ” Schneps Media CEO Joshua Schneps told the Post. “We also think this fall/winter will be active out East with many people choosing to live there year round during the pandemic.”
Scheps began with a single publication, the Queens Courier, founded in 1985 in the living room of owner Virginia Schneps, who continues to run the company with her son, Joshua, Today it has over 70 publications including a chain of weeklies across the five boroughs including The Villager, Downtown Express and Gay City News in Manhattan and two dailies Metro Philiadelpia and amNewYork Metro.
The later was formed in October 2019, when Schneps picked up free daily amNew York from Newsday, which laid off the entire staff as part of the deal. Only a handful of staffers were offered jobs with the new company. Schneps in 2017 also bought the Long Island Press from Morey Publications, which had revived the name of a defunct daily once published by the Newhouse family.
The Labor Day 2020 issue of Dan’s Papers
“While we’re sad to part ways with Dan’s Independent Media, we took a decision to place the business into the hands of the strongest community media company in the region,”said Richard Burns, the head of Isis Venture Partners, which has owned Dan’s Papers for ten years. Isis has been busy selling its media operations that it operated through Manhattan Media. It sold Avenue to real estate billionaire Charles Cohen in 2018. Seven years ago, Manhattan Media also sold its chain of Manhattan weeklies including Our Town and Chelsea Clinton News to Strauss Media, a rival of Schneps.
“This will ensure the long term continued success of this Hampton’s gem for our valued readers, advertisers and staff,” Burns said of the Dan’s Papers deal.
