bobby as we all know, it’s one of the most popular characters from all seasons. a lot of asks were requesting some sort of guide, to include information to not only have maximum ‘heart faces’ score, but also important details and routes like the ‘slowburn’ possibility.

this guide is just the compilation of asks and posts i made about him, before, regarding his route. in this post, i listed possible types of playthrough you can have, and who they suit better. bobby is very playful but he cares about his friends, so the “sweetheart crackhead” is the one to go. you sometimes have answers that sound a bit “pothead”. go with those, to increase the ‘heart face’ score.

now, first and foremost, fusebox updated the game around january, and now bobby is not easy to unlock anymore. WOW, NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SAY THAT SENTENCE! so here’s a list of options you should choose on day 1, to make him step forward.

‘the villa’: i’ve never seen anything like it

‘how am i feeling?’ i’m totally chill

‘hope nearly went face-down getting out of the car’ that’s because you’re drop-dead gorgeous

‘we’re supposed to sleep in a bed with someone we’ve just met’ i hope i fancy one of them

do i like to spend a lot of time getting ready? it’s so important to go all out

‘what brought me to love island?’ the guys i end up with are always tools

hannah seems like she’s waiting for prince charming’ maybe you’ll find your prince this summer

‘lottie wants us to all be in the same team…’ i’m all about outting the girls first

‘how outgoing am i?’ ki love putting myself out there

‘i hope it’s…’ me

‘gary…’ seems like a nice normal bloke

‘noah’ mouth ‘hi’

‘rocco’ say nothing

‘ibrahim’ thank u, next

‘bobby’ laugh at his joke

with those being chosen, his route starts.

🍰 before the last update, bobby wouldn’t mind about choices regarding ‘girl code’. now, it’s safe to choose the supporter friend, especially because he says that’s part of the reason why he’s attracted to a girl.

🍰 picking him on day one is like the title says, standard. so priya is going to steal him on her choice, and being kind to her, when she comes and also when she chooses him, means that she won’t make a move on the night they share a bed. if you’re rude to her, they have a full-on makeout session in front of everyone.

🍰 on day 3, during the day, talk to him first, in the gym. compliment his hands in that dialogue and be blunt about wanting him to pick you. then talk to gary, without any intentions of asking him for the same thing. ask about hannah and his nan, that will keep him as a close mate. gary cannot pick you, and that insures bobby will.

🍰 bobby likes to open up and whenever he’s vulnerable, be kind about it. he likes being ‘little spoon’, like all the boys do, so be the ‘big spoon’.

choose him for the date on the afternoon. you’ll get a lot of wholesome and awkwardness, but you’ll also get the gem scene, which is really sweet.

🍰🍰🍰 before we jump into it, let me remind you that if you do go for a slowburn, you’ll be gaining on angst and pining, but missing out his paid scenes. they are not attatched to the character like their lines or other plots, but arranged in a unique sequence of their own. so, the first one you pay, on day 22 or 24 will be the first ever intimate scene the game offers, on day 10.

🍰 repeat the “i love to put myself out there”, in the bedroom scene with the girls, so he’ll step forward.

🍰 choose him, and have that first night kiss.

| TO AVOID RECOUPLING WITH HIM ON DAY 3 |

the one thing you need to make sure of, before the recoupling on day 3, is to have a low heart score with him. anytime there's an option to be dismissive of what he says you have to pick that, otherwise he could be choosing you on day 3.

there's no way i can actually transcript everything but i can give you these tips:

when choosing bobby on day 1 make sure to go against the grain with him. you can have that public kiss during the game but after that you need to "mistreat" him; don't agree with him when he says something, try to be "cold" with him in every opportunity so your heart score is mediocre.

if any of the girls ask you how you feel in your couple, about bobby, choose the ones that say "it's not going well". that is part of being cold towards him.

intimate scenes, like kissing, have to be put in the back burner. don't engage in the bedroom or daybed scenes with him.

on day 3, when you graft on people, you have two options: talk to both boys that can choose you besides bobby, which are rocco and rahim. or second option: one of the boys that can choose you and one of the impossible boys, which are noah and gary, and make sure you're going for the romantic approach with all of them.

🍰 whenever is possible, flirt with him, wink, smile, laugh at his jokes. he loves it.

🍰 because no other interactions are factors, go for him during the “kiss and tell” challenge. that pisses your partner up and you get to just kiss him. at this point, your mc is in much need!

🍰 if you want to give him hope just to crush his heart a bit, help him on mr. love island contest. make him laugh with your talent. personally i always go with the burping option, and eat the cupcake, of course. compliment him just to get those flustered moments, too.

🍰 i always take him on the date, but end up choosing lucas/henrik. (i’ll explain why in a bit)

🍰 *i never kiss or do any sort of bits with the others, because i like torturing my mc as well*

🍰 you can choose to participate or not on operation nope.

🍰 i like to stay with the boy i get, meaning i don’t break up with him when it’s possible, which is the day after chelsea and jakub come in. but i had a couple of players saying that didn’t work, so try to have a breakup with your current li, and choose bobby when lottie ask you which boy would you like. just to be safe. you don’t have to do anything with him, but that will secure his status on top of the list for the next recoupling, and the bean bag conversation when back from casa amor.

🍰 on disaster recoupling, bobby is gonna be your major heart face score, making him the one who comes to talk to you before and after, wanting to know how you feel if he chose you.

🍰 if you pay for the gem scene to say goodbye to someone, choose him. that just adds flavor!

🍰 when coming back from casa amor, choose to switch to one of the boys, preferably someone who’s the opposite of him, like kassam or carl. that’s just a nice touch for you.

🍰 he’ll ask if you guys are serious and you can respond with ‘we’re taking our time”. his response is golden!

🍰 at the bean bags scene, that you pay for, he’s the one talking to you. and that’s why i like going with lucas/henrik on prior recouplings, because this way, it’s not gary or ibrahim to say how much they missed you, it’s only bobby!

🍰 next, chelsea asks who’s the person you really want to be with, in that scene with shannon, by the pool. this is the moment you say bobby’s name. this scene will determine who talks to you at the roof terrace, and who gets jealous of you and your partner during ‘mrs. and mr. challenge’. so the glances and sighs will be his.

🍰 elisa and jo come in, and mc is feeling the angst because of bobby, having that talk to chelsea by the daybeds.

🍰 following up the choice you made with chelsea, he’s the one who’s gonna be flustered and jealous on the dinner scene, and will approach you to talk on the roof terrace and possibly having a kiss (gem scene).

🍰 the next morning, there will be the breakfast scene, and he’ll also be the choice.

🍰 when hope asks you who do you want to pick you, and tell the person about it, i always like to go for gary, and i’ll explain on another topic. he’ll choose you, happily.

🍰 heart rate challenge? GO BONKERS ON BOBBY’S LAP. you’ll be the sexiest of the lot, the girls will howl, the boys will whistle and his leg “will be twitching with nervous energy while he looks directly at you”. aaah!

🍰 letting gary choose you, before returning!hannah and lucas/henrik hit the villa, is the only way to get that kitchen scene, when hope says a boy has a crush on you. she only says bobby’s name if you’re with gary. 

🍰 on the next day, 25, the compatibility test happens, and it’s nice if you get all of them wrong and break up with gary.

🍰 when you get your chance, pick bobby. his responses are always so cute, but this one is the cutest of them all.

🍰 i love this particular playthrough for him because he gets jealous, tries to flirt and is happy whenever you give him the slightest of attention.
