Hey! Firstly, in my mind I always think of you as 'V' and want to know if you're comfy being called that?
Secondly, illness stuff has recently changed and I'm fucking freezing all the time. It's near impossible to retain heat and I've taken to wearing a mood ring so I can warm up my hands when it turns black. I desperately need advice and/or just solidarity/to complain. But blegh. Also do you like sweaters? You'd definitely look cute in them.
V is alright, as far as nicknames go, but it's quite casual. Vitya is another option, but I prefer to save it for er.. closer relationships.
As far as dealing with the cold goes, I can relate. My body runs cold quite regularly, to the point that my hands are considerably frigid.
I would recommend hot drinks and warm food, blankets when appropriate, heating packs/pads, pocket warmers (you can get reusable ones), or just more clothes.
The electrical bills for the lab were funded by the council, so I was always able to keep it as warm as I wanted, but that's not possible for everyone. I also keep a set of leather gloves on my person in case my hands get stiff, but that may not be necessary in your situation.
And yes, I do like sweaters. In my opinion, they are equally as lazy as sweatshirts, but far classier. Thus, superior in every way.

Have I ranted to you lot about the person who was looking for donations of "cotton" (fabric)?
I'm like sure, I have lots of cotton fabric. What kind are you looking for? I have jersey, I have quilting cotton, etc.
Turns out that she didn't actually know much about fabric (good for her for taking on sewing projects like this anyhow), and as far as I can tell meant quilting cotton specifically. To quote: "I'm honestly not sure what you mean about woven - cotton fabrics are woven, I thought..."
And like, I get it. It's hard to learn that sort of thing. I've read multiple guides on different fabric types and still can't recognise most of them. And the fact that I'm embarrassed that I can't recognise what counts as a shirting-weight fabric, or that a fabric is chambray should help me have compassion for someone who didn't have enough, frankly rather esoteric, knowledge of fabric types to know what they didn't know.
But cotton. Have you never read the tag on a t-shirt and seen what percentage cotton it is? Of all the fibre/weave/fabric type mix ups, cotton?

The disheartening feeling when you bought a really nice fabric and you realise mid project it really doesn’t fit the item you are trying to make.

Exploring the Elegance of Printed Velvet and Cotton Velvet Fabrics at Sanchi Velvets
Velvet is a fabric synonymous with luxury, and over the years, its versatility and beauty have only increased with the advent of modern fabric innovations. Among these innovations are printed velvet fabrics and cotton velvet fabrics, two styles that combine velvet’s plush texture with contemporary designs and natural materials. At Sanchi Velvets, we offer an exceptional range of both printed and cotton velvet fabrics, each bringing its own unique appeal to the world of fashion, upholstery, and home decor.
Printed Velvet Fabric: The Perfect Fusion of Texture and Design
Printed velvet fabric is a stunning evolution of traditional velvet, offering the perfect combination of luxurious texture and vibrant, detailed designs. Digital and screen printing techniques allow for an endless array of patterns, from rich florals and abstract designs to geometric patterns and even photorealistic imagery. The velvet surface, with its soft pile and deep colors, provides the ideal backdrop for these intricate prints.
Key Features of Printed Velvet Fabric
Vibrant Designs: The printing process results in sharp, bright patterns that truly pop against the plush velvet fabric. Whether you're looking for a traditional floral print or a bold modern pattern, printed velvet offers an unmatched depth of color and visual interest.
Luxurious Feel: Despite the intricate designs, printed velvet retains the signature luxurious feel of velvet, with its soft, rich texture that is perfect for both fashion and home decor.
Versatile Applications: Printed velvet is a perfect choice for creating high-end fashion pieces such as dresses, skirts, blouses, and accessories. It’s equally well-suited for interior design, from statement upholstery and cushions to curtains and bedspreads.
Customizability: At Sanchi Velvets, we offer printed velvet in a range of patterns and colors, allowing for full customization for designers and consumers seeking to make a bold style statement.
With printed velvet, you have the opportunity to create sophisticated garments and furnishings that stand out. The luxurious texture combined with unique designs makes it a go-to fabric for anyone looking to create pieces that are both tactile and visually striking.
Cotton Velvet Fabric: Soft, Breathable Luxury
Cotton velvet is an incredibly popular choice for those seeking the luxury of velvet without the weight and warmth of traditional velvet fabrics. Made from cotton fibers instead of silk or synthetic materials, cotton velvet offers a soft, breathable alternative while still maintaining the rich texture and depth of traditional velvet.
Key Features of Cotton Velvet Fabric
Natural Breathability: One of the main benefits of cotton velvet is its breathability. Unlike synthetic velvet, cotton velvet allows for more airflow, making it a more comfortable option for warmer climates or for designs that require long wear.
Soft, Smooth Texture: Cotton velvet maintains the soft, tactile feel of traditional velvet but is often lighter and less dense, which makes it easier to work with for clothing and upholstery projects.
Eco-friendly Option: As cotton is a natural, renewable resource, cotton velvet can be considered an eco-friendlier option compared to synthetic velvets, offering a more sustainable choice for conscientious designers and consumers.
Versatility in Fashion and Decor: Cotton velvet is highly versatile and can be used for both casual and formal clothing. It is a favorite for fashion pieces like dresses, skirts, and jackets, as well as home decor items such as cushions, bed covers, and upholstery.
At Sanchi Velvets, we offer cotton velvet fabrics in a variety of colors and finishes, perfect for creating both elegant garments and cozy, stylish interiors. Whether you're looking to design a flowy cotton velvet dress or transform your living room with cotton velvet cushions, our fabrics bring soft luxury to any project.
Choosing the Right Velvet for Your Project
When deciding between printed velvet fabric and cotton velvet fabrics, consider the intended use and the specific qualities you're looking for in a fabric.
Printed Velvet Fabric is perfect if you're seeking a fabric with intricate patterns, bold designs, or photorealistic prints. Whether you're designing fashion-forward apparel or want to create a statement piece in your home, printed velvet brings visual impact and luxurious texture to your project.
Cotton Velvet Fabric is ideal for those who want a softer, more breathable fabric that still offers the richness and depth of velvet. It’s a great choice for lightweight clothing, casual wear, or home decor pieces that demand comfort, elegance, and sustainability.
Conclusion: Discover Velvet’s Versatility at Sanchi Velvets

Whether you're designing a high-fashion garment, crafting elegant home decor, or creating a unique, custom piece, our velvets provide the ideal combination of luxury, texture, and design flexibility.

Friendly Reminder to shop local.
I needed a particular fabric that I know I cam no longer get at Walmart (75% of the fabric went on clearance and now it's just gone). So I went to the local Sewing Center and found some fabric with the perfect weight and drape.... it was just the wrong color.
Luckily it will still work for what I'm doing.

getting around to actually making a dice bag by reusing some old fabrics from my cosplay days
decided to use the purple fabric from my Mismagius gijinka cosplay and the kind of hot pink fabric from my Chihiro cosplay
but holy cow i forgot how wriggly the fabric for Mismagius gijinka cosplay way (I forget if it's satin or not, I'll have to ask mother) when I went to trace the pattern I made geeeeebus, and here I was thinking I'll use the fabric again for making another dice bag or a tarot mat wrap/bag lol

simon riley with an oral fixation, it's harder when he's on a base, or in the field, used to mindlessly tongue at his cheek beneath the mask, gnaw his lips, anything he can do to soothe this ache, until he's not home, in the comforting warmth of your home, the cotton smell of bedding and your arms, where you'll take care of his need.
let him slip the thin, satin fabric of your nightie with needy, grasping fingers, tugging down until your plump, round breast spill over the lacy, triangle neckline, inches away from simon's face, as his lower, thin bruised lip opens up to suckle at your perky nipple, hardening on his tongue from the touch and wandering air.
simon rarely does anything more than just suckling, letting his tired eyes glaze over, lids heaving, as his blonde, stained with black lashes swoop under his sunken eyes, where his skin is bruised lilac, webbed over with tiny veins, the flat of his tongue sweeping, brushing over your nipple, rolling the tender nub in his warm, wet mouth.
it's takes time, while simon's heavy weight downs on you, holding you beneath him, with his face nuzzled against your supple, smooth breasts, your fingers tangling, messing through the roots of his askew hair, scratching at his scalp carefully, before he releases your nipple with a wet pop, wiping away the glistening line of drool at his chin, before lifting himself up.
simon crawls down on you, to settle himself between your spreading, pretty legs, pushing your nightie up with his face, nudging his crooked nose against the fabric to end up against your sopping, aching pussy, fiddling with your panties before pulling them to the side, ready to take care of you too, folds glossy from smeared slick and fluttering for him.
