Now that #CostumeCollege2024 is over, we wanted to share a quick Reminder that the CGW Scholarship Committee is currently accepting applications for essay scholarships to @CostumeCollege 2025 & 2026! The deadline to apply is October 1, 2024! ~You do not need to be a U.S. resident to apply for a Costume College Scholarship. ~You must be at least 18 years old when you use an awarded scholarship. ~The number of Essay Scholarship Awards varies from year to year. Come to the World’s Best Costuming Rummage Sale! The Bargain Basement at Costume College is the perfect place for costumers to donate the parts of their stash that they no longer use or that no longer spark joy. The proceeds from the Bargain Basement go to CGW's Costume College Scholarship Fund, thus allowing Costumer’s Guild West, Inc (CGW) to offer scholarships to students who would not otherwise be able to attend. Items donated to the Bargain Basement may be tax deductible; please ask for a donation receipt. Donations must be dropped off on-site. Pick your favorite time period and don your appropriate unmentionables or your morning dresses and join us for breakfast as we travel back in time. Meal purchase is directly from the hotel restaurant as their patron. This event is merely a gathering of attendees and not a separate ticketed event. We are gearing up for Costume College 2024 Class Submission and want to know what class topics you might be interested in this year as inspiration for our potential teachers. Classes can range in topic from historical eras to different cosplay genres to specific sewing or crafting techniques and beyond, so let us know what you would like to learn about next/this year! Greet friends old and new, while delighting in the glorious ambiance of your wonderful creations, along with photo opportunities, a cash bar, and much much more! Welcome Party: “A Courtly Soiree” Thursday July 18th, 2024 8 pm to 11 pm (subject to change) As a reminder, we will be in a public area with other hotel guests.
