Short B-52s ramble

By far my favorite B-52s fact is that the most iconic part of Love Shack is when Fred says "you're what!?" And Cindy says "tin roof rusted!" Bc it was the 80s people automatically assumed it meant something like being drunk and the most common belief was it was an old southern term for being pregnant but according to Kate the line originally meant absolutely nothing, they just meant LITERALLY the tin roof of the shack was rusted, and the reason Fred worded it like it was some kind of saying is because when it was said for the first time by Kate he literally could not hear her and yelled at her to repeat herself. They thought it was funny and decided to keep it. A lot of people to this day still don't know it means fuck all
