Prologue

A spark in a jar, it came from this metal piece producing electricity. Magic was being carefully folded beside the jar. “Are you sure we should be doing this? Bringing random things to life, especially things like electricity, sounds extremely dangerous.” A person in a lab coat talked.

“Oh please Alvis, you worry too much.” Alvis looked back up to the man, a serious and worried demeanor.

“Please hun, Call me Dr.St.James when we're working.” The man raised his hands and shrugged.

“It's not very common you get an invitation to continue a long dead project, nearly decades ago it was stopped.”

“Because of its questionable ethics. They created an entire species that went under their own radar, and now that one has popped up with power in the world, they want to continue the research, I’m just not so sure about this.” The doctor expressed his worries. The man leaned in on Dr.St.James.

“Yes but their goat-human project was a success!”

“They fed humans a magical type of radiation and had them procreate.” He went silent after St.James said that, but quickly found a bright side.

“Well this time it’s us, and we're making electricity breathe! Our own kid, made of electrons and protons. Our. Own. Kid. That we made!”

“Dr.Conroy, sometimes I wonder how I managed to find such bright eyes.” Dr.St.James chuckled, addressing his husband with soft eyes.
