What does that post about Salvini mean? :)
Hi anon! So, as you might have heard, the situation of the covid-19 in Italy is quite serious (though in the last 7-10 days it seems that we’re doing better). Since we had to close everything it’s almost certain that in the next year we will face a huge economic crisis.
For this reason, our prime minister, Giuseppe Conte has tried to negotiate with the EU to get some financial help, not just for Italy, but also for all the other countries that are now facing the same problem. To simplify, many Northern European countries are pushing to use the European stability mechanism (i.e. loaning money to the countries who need it at very strict conditions), while Italy, France and Spain among the others are pushing to create the so-called Eurobonds/Coronabonds: these are bonds ideally emitted by the central bank to repay for the debt created to face the coronavirus. The key element is that all the countries will have to share the risks linked to the emission of these bonds. The northern countries think that the Southern European countries will use them only to pay for their debts.
On Friday, our prime minister apparently made some progress since the EU decided to use the stability mechanism to face this crisis but with less harsh loaning conditions and left open the door for the Eurobonds. This is where Matteo Salvini and Giorgia Meloni came in, proclaiming that it was a huge defeat for Italy and started to spread a lot of fake news about the stability mechanism and the failures of the government. Last night Conte held a public speech on the national tv in which he confirmed that the quarantine will continue until May 3.
And then. He snapped.
Basically he told about the very delicate diplomacy the government was trying with the EU and the other countries about the Eurobonds and that Italy has no time to waste listening to the fake news spread by some people and that “I will have to mention these people by the name: Matteo Salvini and Giorgia Meloni” (several million people screamed in their homes at this moment) especially since this anti-European talk is damaging our position AND most of the people that oppose us come from those same anti-European populist parties that are allies of Salvini and Meloni in Europe.
Tl;dr: our prime minister blasted the opposition parties on live tv for spreading fake news and it was glorious

“DAY 60”
(click the link below to see full work)
Diary, April 21 2020, lockdown day no. 60.
Lombardy is the most affected region in coronavirus pandemic in Italy.
Ambulance sirens are the backdrop of our days and nights since more than 60 days.
It is difficult to maintain lucidity and confidence at such a time.
There is no shortage of moments of discouragement and fear, but we try to keep on cultivating human relations.
It takes at least 60 days to consolidate a new habit: from today we can therefore say that we have introduced new ones. Some of those that already existed are also reinforced, other ones have been abandoned, to take them back who knows when.
From home to home, we can and we must stay connected.
Thanks to all my traveling companions from home to home in quarantine, here I have collected some moments of sharing in these days of physical isolation but of inner closeness.
All pictures (more than 30) have been taken in real time, during a videocall.

E invece no.
Ci siamo distinti.
Abbiamo accolto senza freni. Ed io ne sono fiera.
Perchè adesso che siamo noi ad averne bisogno, medici e infermieri di tutto il mondo stanno correndo ad aiutarci.
Quindi fanculo.
Le porte restano aperte.
E noi restiamo esseri umani.

Roma oggi, strade deserte. . #adayinrome #iorestoacasa #andràtuttobene #coronavirusitalia #covıd19 #quarantena #quarantine (presso Rome, Italy) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-SQ-IoIdym/?igshid=1d9kfjr5l05gw
