So the pretty clown shoes are far too big for me to walk in without tripping over myself and will be gifted to the local charity store who not only have a store they take everything that isn’t in sellable condition for local recycling artists and do free upcycling classes. The outskirts of town have a big hippie-bio-green-solar-stoner community.
I decided to order a size smaller and mess around with my battered but now throughly washed Vans (sorry I don’t have a non-gross unmuddy “before” photo). I started with multiple layers of acrylic paint as the pink pleather (?) parts had big holes after the wash and the light grey suede was greenish. This got messy as you can see, my brush control was fading fast. Then after I’d got it looking nice and classy... I went nah, don’t you just want to go apeshit? Slapped a thick layer of Vallejo matte resin sealant on the pink, shook holo glitter dots all over it and then another layer of the matte and some big resin hearts: the paint’s probably not waterproof as in long exposure to water but it sure doesn’t budge in it’s current condition!
tw: covid mentions
My feet are currently *very* swollen, there’s the usual temperature changes but more seriously I had sugar recently, I thought maybe my pancreas and liver had recovered from the nasty probably covid inflammation 12 months ago but nope: my skin went yellow, my undereyes grey-brown and I got all bloated. I miss sugar so bad 🎵 I’m addicted to you, don’t you know that you’re toxic?🎵  but those organs are still Out Of Order.
Please continue to wear a mask and campaign for vaccine equality: you do not want to catch whatever variants 2021 will bring if we let it run rampant across other countries. I’m still stuck with my ass unvaxxed because well, france is currently in full fustercluck if you’re under 55. My carers are unvaxxed despite being eligible since 15th april because appointments are mon to fri - business hours only which just happens to be when.they.are.working. DUH so we’ve offered any of the four who work for us to get the vax on our time and have put in a request to the agency because for real, are you kidding me??
I know the first dose was unpleasant for a lot of you and all I can say is corona will beat the crap out of you for two weeks straight and leave you with ongoing serious health issues: please get the second dose, please continue to take precautions!

Media grapples with how to cover Trump after White House (AP) Two weeks into Donald Trump’s post-presidency, it feels like he hasn’t really gone away. He’s stayed in the news, defying the tradition of former presidents abruptly falling off the radar upon their successor’s inauguration and despite the shutdown of his favored means of communication on Twitter. A debate in media circles over how much attention he should receive when he is out of power has been put on hold, probably for several more weeks. “It’s virtually impossible to stop talking about Trump,” said Kelly McBride, National Public Radio public editor. “There’s still too many questions about what he did as president.” Stories about Trump on websites monitored by the analytics and advertising company Taboola in January got nearly four times as much traffic as stories about Biden. Trump stories had at least double the amount of traffic almost every day of the month. That continued even after the inauguration, but at a lesser degree.
Trump rejects Dems’ request to testify at impeachment trial (AP) House Democrats on Thursday asked Donald Trump to testify under oath for his Senate impeachment trial, challenging him to respond to their charge that he incited a violent mob to storm the Capitol. Hours after the Democrats’ request was revealed, Trump adviser Jason Miller dismissed the trial as “an unconstitutional proceeding” and said the former president would not testify. Separately, Trump’s lawyers denounced the request as a “public relations stunt.” The impeachment trial starts Feb. 9. Trump, the first president to be impeached twice, is charged with inciting an insurrection on Jan. 6, when a mob of his supporters broke into the Capitol to interrupt the electoral vote count. Five people died. Before the riot, Trump had told his supporters to “fight like hell” to overturn his election defeat. Many Senate Republicans have argued that the trial is unconstitutional because Trump is no longer in office, even though he was impeached while he was still president. In a test vote in the Senate last week, 45 Republicans voted for an effort to dismiss the trial on those grounds.
Biden faces a relieved but cautious Europe (NYT) There’s no doubt that most European leaders are relieved by the vision and commitments of the new U.S. administration. But that doesn’t mean they will follow Biden’s lead in lockstep on the world stage. The ultranationalism of former president Donald Trump and the bruising experience of Brexit further convinced officials in Berlin, Paris and Brussels of the need to pursue a more independent European approach and to build greater capacity for self-reliance after more than half a century of sheltering beneath the American security umbrella. In remarks aired Thursday during a dialogue with the Atlantic Council, French President Emmanuel Macron cheered Biden’s arrival, but emphasized his vision of “European sovereignty,” where the continent takes more ownership of its security and more proactively reckons with crises in its neighborhood, from North Africa to Russia’s borderlands. The experience of the Trump years has shifted Europe’s strategic thinking. The dramatic Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol reflected not just the volatility of U.S. politics, but the extent to which domestic polarization could subsume future foreign policy. “It showed how fragile democracy can be, not just in the United States but here as well,” Anna Stahl, a Berlin-based analyst, told New York magazine. “And one lesson from that could be, in addition to the fact that the U.S. is divided, that we need to focus more on European solidarity.” Macron said Europeans should be wary of finding themselves in situations where they are dependent on U.S. decision-making, “because any U.S. decision which is democratic could be led by a domestic approach, could be led by a domestic agenda, and obviously the reasonable weight of the U.S. interests … could not be exactly the same as the European one.”
U.S. trade deficit rises to 12-year high $679 billion (AP) The U.S. trade deficit rose 17.7% last year to $679 billion, highest since 2008, as the coronavirus disrupted global commerce and confounded then-President Donald Trump’s attempts to rebalance America’s trade with the rest of the world. The gap between the value of the goods and services the United States sells abroad and what it buys climbed from $577 billion in 2019, the Commerce Department said Friday. Exports skidded 15.7% to $2.1 trillion, and imports fell 9.5% to $2.8 trillion.
Billed for bad advice (NYT) McKinsey & Company reached a $573 million settlement with 47 states and Washington D.C. over that time they allegedly helped the maker of OxyContin “turbocharge” sales of the highly addictive opioid, paving a swath of personal and economic destruction across the United States and leading to a deadly epidemic that has claimed 450,000 lives over two decades and caused serious lasting damage to untold more. Records show McKinsey helped Purdue Pharmaceuticals sell higher-dose pills even after Purdue pleaded guilty to misleading doctors about the risks of the pill, and offered assistance in getting the pesky FDA off their back. McKinsey will not admit wrongdoing as part of the settlement, but agreed to restrictions on its future work with addictive narcotics. The states will use the penalties for the opioid treatment, prevention and recovery programs created in response to McKinsey’s successful advice.
Haiti’s Impasse (Foreign Policy) Stores were shuttered and protests unfolded in Haiti’s capital this week as the country’s opposition staged a general strike calling for President Jovenel Moïse to step down. They argue that his term ends Sunday and a transitional government should step in; Moise says his term lasts until 2022. On Tuesday, Catholic bishops called for dialogue and offered to mediate the crisis, writing in a statement from a bishop’s conference that “the country is on the verge of explosion.” Moïse was elected in late 2016 after a yearlong standoff over a previous election. Less than 10 percent of registered voters supported him at the time, and his administration has faced large, on-and-off street demonstrations since mid-2018. These denounced fuel prices, alleged corruption, political repression, and economic strife. A year ago, Moïse dismissed most of Haiti’s congress and began ruling by decree. For now, Moïse says he will stay put, in which case the protesters say they will stay in the streets. While the United States, the Organization of American States, and the European Union have called for elections to restore the legislature, in the coming months, Moïse’s plans focus on modifying the Constitution.
Denmark to develop digital passport proving vaccinations (AP) Denmark’s government said Wednesday it is joining forces with businesses to develop a digital passport that would show whether people have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, allowing them to travel and help ease restrictions on public life. Finance Minister Morten Boedskov told a news conference that “in three, four months, a digital corona passport will be ready for use in, for example, business travel.” “It will be the extra passport that you will be able to have on your mobile phone that documents that you have been vaccinated,” Boedskov said. “We can be among the first in the world to have it and can show it to the rest of the world.” The coronavirus has seen a near-total halt in international travel as countries try to contain the spread of the virus. Major European airlines, for example, are flying a tenth of their normal traffic. [Sweden is developing something similar.]
Moscow’s jails overwhelmed with detained Navalny protesters (AP) The video, shot by a man detained in a Moscow protest, shows a group of people jammed into a police minibus. One of them says on the recording that they had already been held there for nine hours, with some forced to stand because of overcrowding and no access to food, water or bathrooms. Detainees are recounting their miserable experiences as Moscow jails were overwhelmed following mass arrests from protests in support of opposition leader Alexei Navalny this week. They described long waits to be processed through the legal system and crowded conditions with few coronavirus precautions. More than 11,000 protesters were reported detained across Russia in the pro-Navalny rallies on two straight weekends last month and in Moscow and St. Petersburg on Tuesday, after he was ordered by court to serve nearly three years in prison. Some of the protesters were beaten on the streets by riot police or subjected to other abuse. While it accounted for less than half of the detentions, the capital’s jails quickly filled up as scores of people were sentenced by the courts. Many received misdemeanor charges that resulted in jail terms of five to 15 days. Marina Litvinovich, member of the Public Monitoring Commission that observes the treatment of prisoners and detainees, said Moscow simply could not handle such an influx of protesters convicted of misdemeanor offenses and needing to be jailed for several days. “The first crisis occurred when police vans and buses (with detainees) were driving around Moscow anxiously and jails didn’t let them in. They didn’t know where to put people,” Litvinovich told the AP. “Some people were brought back to police precincts. Some were standing the whole day inside police vans near the jails. Some got lucky and they were given food and taken to toilets. Some didn’t have luck and they had to pee in a bottle.”
Virus upends new year for millions of Chinese (Washington Post) For the second year in a row, millions of Chinese are missing out on the most important holiday of the year—a time for family reunions, lavish meals, fireworks and catching up with friends—as authorities try to control new coronavirus outbreaks. Residents are not only disappointed. Many are also angry at the extreme measures local authorities, determined to avoid outbreaks in their districts, have adopted to limit travel. For months, officials have discouraged travel during the festival by handing out cash subsidies, free phone data usage, and points for coveted residence permits in cities. China’s State Council instructed officials to “guide the public” to celebrate “on the spot” rather than crisscross the country. The measures appear to have worked. This year’s Spring Festival travel rush is expected to be the quietest in more than a decade. Transport ministry officials expect 1.2 billion trips, compared with 3 billion in 2019 and a drop of more than 20 percent from last year, when many families were sheltering at home at the height of the outbreak in China. Those who tried to go home have found themselves stymied by extra, often contradictory rules. In theory, residents traveling to rural areas only need to present a negative coronavirus test result taken within the past seven days. Unofficially, local governments have added restrictions, such as mandating centralized quarantine and sealing residents in their homes.
China’s latest weapon against Taiwan: the sand dredger (Reuters) Taiwanese coast guard commander Lin Chie-ming is on the frontline of a new type of warfare that China is waging against Taiwan. China’s weapon? Sand. On a chilly morning in late January, Lin, clad in an orange uniform, stood on the rolling deck of his boat as it patrolled in choppy waters off the Taiwan-run Matsu Islands. A few kilometers away, the Chinese coast was faintly visible from Lin’s boat. He was on the lookout for Chinese sand-dredging ships encroaching on waters controlled by Taiwan. Half an hour into the patrol, Lin’s nine-man crew spotted two 3,000-ton dredgers, dwarfing their 100-ton vessel. Upon spotting Lin’s boat, armed with two water cannons and a machine gun, the dredgers quickly pulled up anchor and headed back toward the Chinese coast. The sand-dredging is one weapon China is using against Taiwan in a campaign of so-called gray-zone warfare, which entails using irregular tactics to exhaust a foe without actually resorting to open combat. Since June last year, Chinese dredgers have been swarming around the Matsu Islands, dropping anchor and scooping up vast amounts of sand from the ocean bed for construction projects in China. The ploy is taxing for Taiwan’s civilian-run Coast Guard Administration, which is now conducting round-the-clock patrols in an effort to repel the Chinese vessels. The dredging is a “gray-zone strategy with Chinese characteristics,” said Su Tzu-yun, an associate research fellow at Taiwan’s top military think tank, the Institute for National Defense and Security Research. “You dredge for sand on the one hand, but if you can also put pressure on Taiwan, then that’s great, too.” Sand is just part of the gray-zone campaign. China, which claims democratically-governed Taiwan as its own territory, has been using other irregular tactics to wear down the island of 23 million. The most dramatic: In recent months, the People’s Liberation Army, China’s military, has been dispatching warplanes in menacing forays toward the island. Taiwan has been scrambling military aircraft on an almost daily basis to head off the threat, placing an onerous burden on its air force.
Efforts to end Myanmar’s ethnic conflicts shaken by coup (AP) The coup that removed an elected government and reimposed military control in Myanmar has raised even more uncertainty about a fragile peace process aimed at ending decades of conflict between the military, armed ethnic groups and militias. Over 20 ethnic groups have been fighting the military over control of predominantly ethnic-minority borderland areas, including Shan, Kachin, Karen and Rakhine states. The groups have sought greater autonomy for their regions, which are often rich with natural resources. The military and militias aligned with it have fought for continued centralized power and control. Myanmar has one of the longest civil conflicts in the world, with fighting continuing at different times across the country since 1949. Many of the armed groups want greater autonomy, which they feel was promised by Suu Kyi’s father, Gen. Aung San, via the Panglong Agreement of 1947, which called for a federal system of government, ethnic minority rights and religious freedom. Aung San was assassinated later in 1947. Decades of junta rule that followed resulted in a slew of human rights violations, including the use of civilians as slave labor, rapes, extrajudicial killings and burning of entire villages.
In Gaza, Pandemic Forces Tough Choices (NPR) How does the pandemic affect one of the world’s most crowded and battle-scarred territories? From merchants to doctors, the 2.2 million Palestinians of the Gaza Strip are forced to make tough choices to survive. On a single street, a vegetable seller, supermarket worker and secondhand clothes merchant recently showed up at their day jobs—though the clothes merchant said he was convinced all three of them had COVID-19. “I feel bad about myself. I would quarantine myself for a whole month if I could, but I have to keep the shop open. I have no other source of income,” Hossam, 26, told NPR by video chat. He declined to give his full name because he could be arrested for keeping his shop open while sick. Hossam lost his sense of taste and smell, and became fatigued, but refused to take a COVID-19 test. If it were positive, his whole family would be ordered to quarantine and he and his brother, the family’s sole breadwinners, wouldn’t be able to work. Gaza’s Hamas rulers offer no financial aid to those quarantined at home. “There are many others like me who don’t want to report their illness so they can keep working,” Hossam said. This is common in Gaza, where most live below the poverty line and the economy is in a chokehold due to a nearly 14-year Israeli and Egyptian blockade severely restricting trade and travel to the Islamist-ruled territory.
Food inflation (Financial Times) Global food prices have reached their highest in almost seven years, further raising the specter of food inflation and hunger at a time when the Covid-19 pandemic continues to hit economies around the world. The UN Food and Agriculture Organization’s food price index for January rose by a tenth from a year ago to its highest level since July 2014, led by a sharp increase in grain prices. Substantial buying of corn by China and lower-than-expected production in the US helped send the gauge—which tracks a basket of food commodities against their 2014-16 prices—to its eighth consecutive monthly increase, the longest rising streak in a decade.

Russia Vaccine for COVID 19 in India
The RDIF said it has received orders for a total of 1 billion doses. After regulatory approval in India, RDIF will supply Dr. Reddy with 100 million doses of the vaccine. Deliveries will likely begin in late 2020, subject to the successful completion of trials and registration of the vaccine by regulatory authorities in India, the RDIF said in a statement. Although the first and second stages of the vaccine clinical trials have been completed, the third phase is still pending. Russia conducted the trials with just 38 participants, who were followed for two months, which experts believe is too small for one study. The World Health Organization also has to approve the vaccine for human use. Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardan said on Sunday that India could consider an "emergency use authorization" for the COVID-19 vaccine, and according to consensus, the country could go ahead with emergency use especially In high-risk environments and also looking for Corona Vaccine Price in India" According to the Lancet article, the vaccine has a "good safety profile" and induces strong humoral and cellular immune responses, according to Phase 1/2 studies conducted in two hospitals in Russia. A New COVID variant to emerge in 2 years
Tumblr media
As per top health expert, a new covid version worse than Omicron will emerge in two years
If you think Covid is ended after 2 years of constant fighting, think again. According to some experts, a new Covid strain, possibly even worse than the present Omicron type, might hit the globe in the upcoming 2 years.
There is still a long path to go before the world is free of Covid, according to England's chief medical officer. He also predicts that Covid-19 will exist indefinitely, with a fatality hazard equivalent to flu.
Many other specialists, on the other hand, have attempted to relieve anxieties about Covid, claiming that it will now just transform into a mild cold-causing infection.
Experts predict that as Covid moves from pandemic to endemic, the virus will become 'less dominant.'
"We could ending up with a new version that causes much worse difficulties than Omicron, and the Omicron concerns are far from minor, therefore the world should be careful about Covid."
While corona vaccinations and booster doses along with newly developed molnupiravir capsules are the only effective treatments for the virus and its variations.
 Omicron + Delta recombinant virus:-
The Omicron + Delta reproductive virus is a coronavirus hybrid that contains genes from both the Omicron and Delta types. Transformants were expected, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), after the first substantial evidence of a hybrid virus (Omicron and Delta) was discovered.
"When we allow the virus to spread at an intensive level," WHO officials added, "it continues to mutate, and more strains are expected."
Another hybrid COVID strain was discovered in Israel last week, combining Omicron BA.1 and BA.2.
The good news is that its intensity and transmissibility have not changed over the years, but various studies are being conducted on the subject. "Testing and sequencing are essential at this level," the WHO's chief health expert stated.
He also stated that, sadly, the WHO predicts witnessing recombinants since viruses mutate over time.
Recombinant virus symptoms:
The signs of the Omicron, Delta recombinant virus remain the same as they have been for the majority of the pandemic, according to the NHS UK, although experts are continuously monitoring it. The following are some of the most prevalent Covid symptoms, according to the NHS:
High temperature: This means that touching your chest or back makes you feel hot (you do not need to check your temperature).
Continuous cough: Coughing for more than an hour or three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours is considered a new, continuous cough (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).
Loss or modification of your ability to smell or taste (anosmia): You've observed that you can't smell or taste anything or that thing smell or taste stranger than usual.
If you become ill and experience any symptoms of Covid, you should get checked as soon as possible. Remember to keep isolated with proper medicine like molnupiravir capsules 200 mg and follow all the precautions until the results are negative.

COVID-19 Booster Shots
Tumblr media
The number of COVID-19 cases are on the rise again. The world is preparing for a third wave of the Corona pandemic. During these times of uncertainty, the COVID-19 vaccines and the COVID booster shot have become our only hope. On Christmas day 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the vaccination registration for the booster dose would begin on January 10, 2022. India has come up with some guidelines for the booster dose also known as the precaution dose. But first, let us know:
What is a COVID booster dose?
Simply speaking, the COVID booster dose is another dose of the vaccine. While vaccines are the best defense we have right now against the rapidly spreading third wave of COVID-19, their capacity to protect our bodies weakens with time. Their effectiveness drops faster among the older population and people with comorbidities(explained below). A booster dose is usually administered in diseases where immunity reduces. The first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine primes the body. The second dose boosts the immune system. In both the shots, memory cells (that remember the virus) are produced, and they help in case the virus re-infects the body. They are produced more in number with the second dose and help in fighting the virus even when the antibody levels reduce over time. If these memory cells are enhanced with a COVID booster vaccine dose, they will induce a stronger immune response. More antibodies will be produced and these antibodies will have affinity maturation (solid bond with increased strength).
The side effects of the booster dose are reported to be similar to the previous two doses like fever, muscle pains, headache, pain, or swelling. Any unusual side effects or symptoms extending beyond a couple of days should be reported immediately.
Tumblr media
Who is eligible to take the Precautionary Booster Dose?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued guidelines that booster doses are to be given to organ transplant recipients or patients with compromised immune systems. This is because, for them, the response to the first doses is less compared to the general population. Though they are vaccinated with two doses, one study has shown that there is an increased rate of infections after vaccination in these individuals.
Starting from 10th January 2022, the booster dose has been administered to the frontline workers and senior citizens in India. Our social helpers such as Healthcare workers, Nurses, Doctors, etc, and Senior citizens who are above 60 years with comorbidities. According to the new guidelines, it is mandatory to take the booster dose after the completion of 9 months or 39 weeks of the second dose of the COVID Vaccine. Eligible candidates can directly visit the COVID-19 vaccination center to get the booster dose or schedule an online appointment through the CoWIN portal .
What are the Comorbidities?
The list of comorbidities includes a recent history of heart failure, Valvular Heart Disease, Coronary Artery Disease, Diabetes and Hypertension, Kidney/ Liver/ Hematopoietic stem cell transplant, Decompensated cirrhosis, Sickle Cell Disease, HIV infection, and many other conditions that enhance the risk of mortality in COVID-19 disease. Senior citizens with comorbidities are not required to produce any certificate or prescription from the doctor for the precaution dose.
Tumblr media
Covishield or Covaxin?
The precautionary jab will be of the same vaccine as the first two doses. No mix and match are allowed, unlike in other countries. For example, people who have taken two doses of COVISHIELD (manufactured by Serum Institute of India) are advised to take the COVISHIELD booster shot and those who have taken COVAXIN (manufactured by Bharat Biotech International Ltd) should go for the COVAXIN booster shot.
No clinical studies have been conducted in India on mixing vaccines so far. The vaccine effectiveness of mixed jabs is being widely discussed, the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) has evaluated international data. Data from some countries have raised concerns about safety due to high expected adverse effects in some people after receiving a different booster dose from the first two doses. But we cannot apply the data of the United Kingdom population to India. Unless a trial is conducted here, and it has positive results, we cannot and should not mix doses.
Tumblr media
Booster Vaccine Registration
It is advised to register on CoWIN to make it easier to get a fixed slot for this booster vaccination dose. CoWIN will send reminder messages to all eligible candidates. Indian Citizens who are eligible for the third dose of vaccination can register themselves through the CoWIN portal and get the booster dose
Pre-booking a slot on Cowin will also ensure you are going in at a fixed time and leaving quickly, which is ideal given the rising cases of Covid-19. The Indian Health Ministry has clarified that new registrations would not be necessary while booking an online appointment, an individual can directly register for it by logging the old registered account.
The government has said that consulting a doctor before jabbing the precaution is not required, but, if an individual wants they can. 148 vaccination centers are established throughout India to vaccinate citizens eligible for the booster or precaution dose.
Follow these steps to register for the booster dose:
Open the CoWIN portal or the Aarogya Setu app.
Tap on the vaccination tab.
Log in with the mobile number, which you have used for previous registration.
If someone else registered on your behalf, please ask them for a One-Time Password (OTP) when using that particular mobile number. (Remember, up to 4 people can be registered using the same mobile number on the Cowin portal.)
After you have logged in, you will likely see your name and profile.
The system will show the slots for Precaution Dose in the Appointments Module (It will show only if 39 weeks have passed after administration of your full vaccination, which is nine months).
Tap on the ‘Precaution dose’ tab and then choose appointments.
Choose the appointment based on your location, Pincode, etc and tap/click on Book appointment.
The appointment should get confirmed and details can be downloaded from the app.
You will be able to download the digital vaccination certificates after the vaccination.
One has to be attentive and follow the safety protocol because vaccination alone can not be enough to fight the pandemic and the emerging variants. Along with booster doses, the government of India has also permitted the administration of COVAXIN in children aged 15 years and above, from 3rd January 2022. They can register themselves through the same portal for their first vaccine jab.
Registering on Cowin for the first time?
Follow the steps:
Open the CoWIN portal or the Aarogya Setu app.
You will be required to enter the photo ID type, number, full name, gender, and age.
For the photo ID, you can choose from a Driving License, Aadhaar Card, or even Passport as photo ID proof.
After the registration is done, you will be taken to the “Book Appointment for Vaccination” page.
Enter details like State/UT, Pincode, etc, and search.
A list of vaccination centers will appear depending on your location.
Choose your required time and date and book an appointment.
Keep in mind that CoWIN recommends that users should carry their registered mobile phone, Photo ID to the appointment. Also, a session once booked cannot be canceled, but it can be rescheduled. Once your appointment is confirmed, an SMS will also come with details confirming the same.
When the world became aware of the new variant of concern 'OMICRON' which was identified in South Africa in November 2021, the whole world started making preparations to fight against it. With the new surge in the COVID-19 cases, the booster dose seems to be a sigh of relief. Amid the fear of the third wave of COVID-19, the initiative of the third dose of vaccine will help the health workers the most. They are the only ones who don’t step back even during the pandemic. During the second wave, many lives were lost. To stay safe, healthy, and save lives, a booster vaccine is important. It has proven to be effective and safe, and everyone is advised to get jabbed.

Children Can Register For Vaccination From January 1 On CoWin App
Tumblr media
December 27
Children Can Register For Vaccination From 1st Jan
India has taken another step forward in the fight against Corona amidst the growing threat of corona virus. Vaccination of children of 15-18 years is going to start from January 3 in the country. Children will also have to register for this. The registration process for children on CoWin App is going to start from January 1. CoWin sources said, an additional slot has been created on the online platform and students can use the school Id to register for their slots. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday, had said children in the 15-18 age group could get their first round of Covid vaccines from January 3. Children in India will be vaccinated with one of two shots - either Bharat Biotech's double-dose Covaxin or Zydus Cadila's three-dose ZyCoV-D, both of which have been cleared for kids over 12. Prime Minister also announced precaution dose for healthcare and frontline workers from 10th January 2022, Monday. This has been done in the light of the amount of time that the frontline workers and health care workers spend in the service of Covid patients. In India, this has been called ‘precaution dose’ not booster dose. The decision of precaution dose will strengthen confidence of healthcare and frontline workers. The Prime Minister also announced that option of precaution dose will be available for senior citizens above 60 years of age with co-morbidities on the advice of their doctors from 10th January, 2022. Stay tuned for more updates....   Read the full article

Significant COVID-19 Impact on Absorbable Heart Stent | Healthcare Industry
Tumblr media
Impact of COVID-19 on Absorbable Heart Stent in Healthcare Industry
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), also known as SARS-CoV-2 or 2019-nCoV, is a human infectious disease caused by the coronavirus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome. COVID-19 was declared a pandemic by the world health organization due to the rapid rise in human infection rates. The COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the whole planet with its major impacts on the economy and businesses across the globe. Though the emergence of the virus can be traced back to Asia, many European countries along with the U.S. have been struck massively by the pandemic. The virus has spread across all regions ranging from North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa up to South America. After the declaration of the pandemic, various countries announced the complete lockdown such as India, China, and other Asian countries to decrease its spread. According to the latest situation report by World Health Organization (WHO) stated 175 million cases of corona virus have been reported globally and 4 million patients are dead due to the coronavirus. On a slightly positive note, a total of 158 million people have recovered and a total of 2 million vaccine doses have been administered.
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a worldwide pande0mic, and cardiovascular complications and arrhythmias in these patients are common. Cardiac monitoring is recommended for at-risk patients. The novel coronavirus pandemic has significantly impacted the timely delivery of surgical or stent treatment for patients with severe coronary vascular disease. This has created a large backlog of work and upstaging of disease with consequent increase in risk and cost of treatment and potential for worse long-term outcomes. As countries emerge from lockdown but with COVID-19 pandemic in society, precautions remain that restrict ‘normal’ practice.
Stents are small, expandable tubes that treat narrowed arteries. Coronary artery stents are used to open the blockage of arteries or to expand the narrowing arteries, which helps to treat a heart attack, and reduce pain like chest pain. Absorbable Heart Stents are said to be “the fourth revolution” after balloon angioplasty, baremetal stents, and drug-eluting stents. As these provide mechanical support for a determined period and then disappear from the vessel, allowing its natural healing, and avoiding the risks associated with having a permanent metallic cage, such as stent thrombosis. The absorption of the stent could potentially lead to a recovery of the endothelial function of the vessel, making it responsive again to vasoactive agents. The potential benefits, including the decreased risk of stent thrombosis at long-term follow-up, one of the most feared complications of metallic stents, have led to absorbable stents, a field of growing interest in interventional cardiology.
The increasing prevalence of geriatric population and adoption of sedentary lifestyle along with the rise of obesity in people are driving the absorbable heart stent market as coronary artery diseases require appropriate surgeries for 'their treatment’. But there is a negative impact of COVID-19 on the absorbable heart stent market due to massive disruption of supply chains, and financial fragility forced manufacturers to shut down their industries as absorbable stents require high financial inputs for manufacturing.
For Instance,
·         According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 18.2 million US adults age 20 and older have CAD (about 6.7%), which has required appropriate treatment
·         According to the European Cardiovascular Disease Statistics 2017, each year, cardiovascular disease (CVD) causes 3.9 million deaths in Europe and over 1.8 million deaths in the European Union (EU)
Moreover, COVID-19 has made it more challenging for the manufacturing companies to bridge the losses and attempt to fulfil the demands during these times. The COVID-19 has impacted the business of manufacturers, and other service providers that are involved in absorbable heart stent devices.
STRATEGIC INITIATIVES FOR MANUFACTURERS
A large pool of the population affected by this COVID-19 virus, and its spread is expanding across the world in the last few months. To deal with the COVID-19 outbreak challenges, many market players are creating new strategies.
The key players engaged in providing products such as Medtronic, Boston Scientific Corporation, Abbott, Cook Group, Angiomed GmbH & Co. Medizintechnik KG face challenges to keep the growth during coronavirus and to maintain the demand and supply chain with proper protection of the employees.
For instance,
·         Medtronic focused on providing special protection and care to its employees. Its manufacturing and distribution facilities are routinely cleaned and sanitized, employees are utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and social distancing, including staggered breaks to reduce crowds in common areas, and additional screening and access protocols have been implemented.
·         Medtronic increased contributions to its Employee Emergency Assistance Fund, which is providing need-based financial grants to employees who are experiencing economic impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including childcare reimbursement.
·         Boston Scientific Corporation is providing extra precautions, including increased cleaning measures, social distancing protocols, and the use of face coverings for employees who work onsite, along with personal protective equipment (PPE) for employees in the workplace ensuring business continuity.
IMPACT IN DEMAND
The outbreak of the coronavirus has shown impacts on various markets around the world. It is the cause of lockdown and isolation, which ultimately has an impact on global economic activity. This is why the global epidemic has shrunk by 1.0% in the current year.
Although the COVID-19 pandemic continues to transform the growth of various industries, the immediate impact of the outbreak is varied. While a few industries will register a drop in demand, numerous others will continue to remain unscathed and show promising growth opportunities.
As heart patients are under suspection for higher exposure to COVID-19, demand for absorbable stents surges as companies are making efforts to provide help to healthcare systems to overcome the scarcity of stents while treating CAD. Absorbable stents are in high demand due to the high prevalence of interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular procedures amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which prevents the patient from staying in the hospital for long.
The clinical observations suggest that a person with heart disease has been more prone to COVID-19, which lead to clinical complications. Therefore, the government of various countries laid guidelines for special care, and treatment for heart patients. This has surged the demand for absorbable stents among people for early treatment of CAD to prevent complications of COVID-19.
For Instance,
·          According to an early bulletin released by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) on March 6, 2020, people who have underlying cardiovascular disease, have a higher mortality rate when it comes to COVID-19 (10.5 percent) than people who have an underlying chronic respiratory disease (6.3 percent)
·         According to the American Journal of the Medical Sciences, the COVID-19 mortality rate for people with pre-existing cardiovascular disease was between 10.5 and nearly 14 percent, and the number surged to between 35 percent and almost 87 percent for people who had underlying coronary artery disease
IMPACT ON PRICE
COVID-19 has forced the countries to impose lockdown and restrictions worldwide. This has affected many industries and economies. The total lockdown in various countries forbade the transportation of raw materials, and the business of service providers. So, manufacturing absorbable heart stent devices has become difficult, which directly impacted the prices largely.
For instance,
·         In 2020, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has been approved to hike the prices of absorbable heart stent on seeing the current scenario and making it easy for the manufacturers.
IMPACT ON SUPPLY CHAIN
The COVID-19 outbreak has disrupted the supply chains for absorbable heart stents globally. The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 and its subsequent impact on restrictions on trade and development of goods has resulted in a shutdown of vast portions of the global economy, resulting in disrupted supply chains due to transportation cessation, which affected the manufacturing unit largely.
Companies in the arterial stents market are helping healthcare systems to stock inventory and medical devices in order to avoid supply shocks amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
For instance,
·         According to FDA, there have been reported shortages of medical devices and equipment amid COVID-19 due to disruption of supply and service providers
·         According to Springer, 2020, many companies experienced dramatic exposure to supply chain disruptions during the pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns (Strange 2020) due to their reliance on offshore supplies
CONCLUSION
The COVID-19 has impacted the market positively. To summarize, the prices for this market has increased as manufacturing requires raw materials which have been disrupted amid COVID-19. The demand for absorbable heart stent market has been increasing due to the prevalence of geriatric population and adoption of sedentary lifestyle which leads to various coronary vascular diseases, but the supply chain and service providers are unable to satisfy the needs, and thus, have impacted largely. However, manufacturers, service providers, and the government are making new guidelines to work safely in the workplace in the new normal and combat the gap between demand and supply. Overall, various measures have been taken by the market players to improve their business and the quality of their services.

This winter may be different, at least in America. Last year, almost nobody was vaccinated against Covid-19. As of October 7, 56 percent of the US population is fully vaccinated, according to the New York Times’s tracker. That includes 84 percent of people over 65, who are generally the most vulnerable to dying from the virus. The Food and Drug Administration will soon consider whether to authorize a vaccine for children as young as 5, which would push vaccination rates higher. More vaccinations should mean a better winter. Other factors — how much people travel, what precautions they take to social distance, etc. — will play a role, but nothing is as likely to influence how the winter unfolds as vaccination rates. At this point, about 75 percent of Americans ages 12 and older have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine. Most importantly, 95 percent of people over 65 have gotten at least one dose, and the federal government has signed off on booster shots for that age group. And Pfizer has asked the FDA to approve its vaccine for children ages 5 to 11, which sets the stage for vaccinations to begin for the school-aged population in a matter of weeks. But in the same data, there are trends that could result in a more difficult winter, one in which many Americans remain unprotected from Covid, fully vulnerable to the delta variant — or, in the worst-case scenario, a more virulent successor. About 12 percent of Americans say they will “definitely not” get the vaccine, under any circumstances, according to the KFF’s September poll. They appear unlikely to be moved by any incentives or requirements; some of them have become a part of the anti-vaccine, pro-miracle cure community that has developed during the pandemic and is not persuaded by the mainstream consensus. —Dylan Scott, Vox Follow @inkagnedotv #corona #coronavirus #covid #covid19 #covid19brasil #covid19españa #covid19india #covid19memes #covid19news #covid19usa #covid2020 #covid_19 #covid_19😷 #covidartchallenge #covidnews #covidー19 #covi̇d_19 #covıd #lockdown #pandemic #quarantine #quarantineandchill #quarantinelife #socialdistancing #stayathome #stayhealthy #stayhome #staysafe #virus https://www.instagram.com/p/CUx9FPrJ4q-/?utm_medium=tumblr

Wedding bells are tingling! Happy Moments on the way!
Planning weddings during the covid era have been an entirely different experience. There is a list of things that needs to be taken care of.  Weddings before the corona pandemic and after the covid pandemic are both distinct; both have an entirely different experience. Things in the covid era are much on the protective side, more about taking enough precautions.
If you are planning to get married soon, you need to keep certain things in mind. Precautions are required and mandatory otherwise your dream wedding can be at a stake. To make your wedding happen at a perfect pace and in an uninterrupted way, it is advisable to prepare a wedding checklist that is formed keeping covid scenes in mind.
First thing first, get yourself tested before starting any rituals. It is extremely important to get your self-test, and also your to-be spouse should be tested. In this way, you can ensure the safety of each other. Obviously, you don't want anyone else getting infected because of you or your health to deteriorate ahead of your wedding.
If you are too occupied with all the wedding preparations, the easiest way to get tested is to contact Medcare Diagnostics, they have a team who offers covid testing at home. The team will come to your home on the date and time decided by you and then you can give a sample for the RT PCR test. This way your time will be saved and you can get accurate results without moving out of your home. Medcare Diagnostics are functional in many areas but they are especially more active for covid test in Brampton & covid test in Niagara.
The second thing, get your near ones tested. Yes, people think that it is not required but it is very important. The bride and groom will be majorly in touch with the family members. To avoid any kind of transition risk, you should ask your family members to get tested. As you know covid test in Brampton and covid test in Niagara are extremely convenient as you can book an appointment for testing and get things done from the comfort of your home.
The third is to keep your mask on. Even if you know that everyone around you is negative, still keep the mask on. Sometimes it happens that symptoms take more than usual time to develop or initially the report is negative but a person might be covid positive. So keep the mask on! Don't take it lightly; a mask can save you from many unwanted troubles. Also, it reduces the risk of getting contracted by the virus. So all and all, the mask is mandatory!
Fourth thing is to prefer getting vaccinated before the wedding. Try to select a wedding date in such a month or time frame which gives you enough time to get vaccinated by both doses. If you are vaccinated the threat of getting contracted by the virus reduces to a great extent. Also, prefer inviting those people to the wedding who have taken both or at least one dose of vaccine. It may sound weird but that is the safest option. There are couples who got married and the next day they were covid positive so their honeymoon period became a quarantine period. So to avoid such stuff, prefer to get vaccinated before the wedding.

Note
i’m actually kinda worried because our corona cases are increasing but the only people getting really sick are unvaccinated so hopefully it will work to remove the restrictions. i’m just worried things will get really bad again
honestly it’s inevitable that as soon as restrictions are lifted that cases are going to rise again. like, it just will happen because people are going to be mixing with others in close quarters and without precautions such as social distancing and masks. only thing you can do is keep taking precautions and be sensible about how you act?
from what i’ve seen here, vaccinated people are still testing positive for covid but are having little/mild to no symptoms… whereas most of the hospital admissions and the most affected are those that are either unvaccinated or have only had one dose of the vaccine! I also think that they’re planning on rolling out a third dose of the vaccine either this autumn or by winter time?

Addressing the Nation on Saturday, Prime Minister announced that from 3rd January 2022, Monday, vaccination ( Precaution Dose ) will start for the children in the age group of 15-18 years. The move is likely to aid in education normalization in schools and will reduce the worry of the parents with school going children. He also announced precaution dose for healthcare and frontline workers from 10th January 2022, Monday. This has been done in the light of the amount of time that the frontline workers and health care workers spend in the service of Covid patients. In India, this has been called ‘precaution dose’ not booster dose. The decision of precaution dose will strengthen confidence of healthcare and front-line workers. The Prime Minister also announced that option of precaution dose will be available for senior citizens above 60 years of age with co-morbidity on the advice of their doctors from 10th January, 2022. Referring to the Omicron infections In India, the Prime Minister requested the people not to panic and to follow precautions such as masks and washing hands repeatedly. The Prime Minister said that the global experience of fighting the pandemic has told that following all guidelines is the biggest weapons in the fight against Corona. Second weapon is vaccination, he said. The Prime Minister informed that the vaccination campaign started on 16th January this year has crossed the mark of 141 crore doses. He credited the collective efforts of the citizens, scientists and health workers and doctors for this success. The seriousness of vaccine was identified very early and along with research on vaccine, work was focussed on approval process, supply chain, distribution, training, IT support system and certification, he said. Due to these efforts, 61 percent of the adult population of the country has received both the vaccines and 90 percent adults have received one dose. The Prime Minister emphasized that today, as the virus is mutating, our capability and confidence to face the challenge is also multiplying along with our innovative spirit. He informed that today the country has 18 lakh isolation beds, 5 lakh oxygen supported beds, 1 lakh 40 thousand ICU beds, 90 thousand ICU and Non ICU beds specially for children, more than 3 thousand PSA oxygen plants, 4 lakh oxygen cylinders and  support to states is being provided for buffer doses and testing. The Prime Minister assured that soon the country will develop nasal vaccine and the world’s first DNA vaccine. The Prime Minister emphasized that India’s fight against Corona has, from the very beginning, based on scientific principles, scientific consultation and scientific method. 11 Month vaccine campaign, the Prime Minister said, has brought relief and normalcy in the everyday lives of the countrymen. Economic activities have been encouraging compared to many countries of the world. However, the Prime Minister cautioned that Corona has not gone and alertness is of paramount importance. Shri Modi also cautioned against the efforts to spread rumours, confusion and fear. He appealed to strengthen the speed up the world’s biggest vaccination campaign in the coming days. What Impacted COVID-19 on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in the ICT Industry ?
Tumblr media
Impact of COVID-19 on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in the ICT Industry
The COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the whole planet with its major impacts on the economy and businesses across the globe. The COVID-19 spread worldwide in unprecedented ways due to its high infectious and contagious nature and lack of availability of its vaccine. As a result, the greatest medical challenge in the 21st century is yet to be faced by physicians worldwide. Though the emergence of the virus can be traced back to Asia, many European countries along with the U.S. have been struck massively by the pandemic. The virus has spread across all regions ranging from North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa up to South America. The COVID-19 has been declared as a pandemic by World Health Organization (WHO) due to its increased spread across the globe. After the declaration of the pandemic, various countries announced the complete lockdown such as India, China, and other Asian countries to decrease its spread. According to the latest situation report by World Health Organization (WHO) stated 175 million cases of Corona have been reported globally and 4 million patients are dead due to the coronavirus. On a slightly positive note, a total of 158 million people have recovered and a total of 2 million vaccine doses have been administered as well.
The pandemic has boosted the growth of the customer relationship management (CRM) market. In response to the COVID-19 virus, many companies are moving towards working in a more virtual environment. This has placed a focus on organizations embracing collaboration tools and practices to support the virtual workplace. Organizations around the world are supporting the BYOD model (bring your device) to enable sales professionals to better serve their customers and prospects. Moreover, the government mandate of Work from Home (WFH) policies has driven organizations to increasingly focus on more effective ways of engaging with customers in a remote working environment. This has driven the adoption and implementation of CRM solutions. The governments of various countries are focusing on digitization of business processes and making it mandatory to adopt technologies that support physical distancing, cashless transactions, social distancing norms, and others. Directly this will positively impact the use of customer relationship management solutions.
For instance,
·         In May 2021, according to a blog on CRM statistics, 91% of companies with more than 11 employees now use CRM software. Also, CRM usage has grown from 15% in 2010 to 97% in 2020
·         According to the Agile CRM blog, CRM is becoming a necessity wherein 65% of businesses adopt CRM within their first five years. Also, businesses that leverage CRM software see sales increase by 29%, sales productivity increase by 34%, and sales forecast accuracy increase by 42%
The spread of Coronavirus has led to a global recession, where, many companies are being bounded to take stringent actions of laying off their employees, small businesses are being shut, and manufacturing facilities are being put on hold. There has been a disruption in the supply chain of many industries due to restrictions in logistics and the closing of manufacturing facilities. In addition, the slowdown in the economy has lowered the spending capability of individuals and people are saving money for emergencies. However, now almost in every country, the factories are started to reopen with precautions such as 20% -50% of total employees on the field, social distancing, extreme hygiene measures, and others to support the economy.
LONG TERM STRATEGIC INITIATIVES ADOPTED BY MANUFACTURERS
As the COVID-19 crisis continues to expand, makers would possibly face challenges on varied fronts. Producing firms would be searching for immediate measures to stay their workforces safe and their businesses solvent. Makers would conjointly have to be compelled to look on the far side of their economic viability. Because the COVID-19 pandemic intensifies, makers would possibly face continued pressure on demand, production, and revenues. They’d continuously face cash-flow liquidity challenges and difficulties in managing debt obligations. The pandemic has boosted the growth of the customer experience management market. Thus, developers and providers were focusing on strategic decisions like partnerships, acquisition, product launch, mergers, and collaborations to meet the increasing demand in the COVID-19 outbreak.

On a slightly positive note, a total of 158 million people have recovered and total of 2 million vaccine doses have been administered as well.
Due to growing positive COVID-19 cases across the world, government has decided has to enforced lockdown in most of the countries in order to restrict the chain of virus which are highly affected to each and every type of different industries and also this pandemic and lockdown leads to harsh impact on every industries business across the word.
The global pandemic of coronavirus has highlighted the complex interdependencies which exist within the global sector. The pandemic outbreak has created extreme uncertainty in globally market growth.
Frozen food packaging is when we freeze the food items to expand their lifespan by some extent depending on their moisture content. The common choices for frozen food packaging include tin cans, cardboard, laminated paper, and flexible and rigid plastic materials. Fresh vegetables, fruits, and dressed meat also use simple shrink wraps.
Growing demand for ready-to-eat and convenience food products owing to the busy lifestyles due to hectic work life schedules and an increasing number of working individuals is in turn expected to favor the frozen food packaging market growth. They provide longer shelf life which can also be expected to drive the growth of the market.
However, due to outbreak of COVID-19, the demand for such products became low because of the industrial shutdowns. Also, people have grown out to be more concerned about safety and good brand quality which is not exactly ensuring in frozen foods, thus hindering the growth of the market.
UPCOMING FUTURE OF FROZEN FOOD MARKET
Frozen food manufacturers are using new technologies such as IQF technologies to improve yield and quality of food. The IQF method involves transferring the individual food items on a conveyor belt into a blast freezer that quickly freezes the items. With IQF method, every individual piece of food is frozen separately, as opposed to bulk or block freezing. This method results in better quality products with high nutrition and less wastage.
IQF reduces the dehydration of the IQF products and prevent snow formation in the freezer.   Lower product dehydration translates into higher profitability for the food processor. Furthermore, the products will maintain their natural volume, shape, and color to be sold at a premium price.
In the individual quick freezing technology, the total energy saved is substantial (20-30%), due to the frequency converters installed on each fan. This means that the food processor can adjust the speed of the fans based on the type of the product frozen. Furthermore, this setup requires less refrigeration in order to cool down the heat produced by the fans.
IQF freezer ensures the gentle handling and good separation of the products, in all stages of the freezing process, even with extremely sensitive products. The end result is thereby a premium product with a natural appearance.
PRICE ON PRICE
Due to outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, there are significant negative impacts on revenue growth of this market. The installation and maintenance of these machines is also a factor that may hamper the revenue growth of the global frozen food packaging market.
Manufacturers are depending on the supply of raw materials from domestic and industrial area but due to restrictions across the world there is lack of it. So production has also halted. Prices of the products have reduced gradually especially post pandemic period as the usage has declined amongst the end-users.
Due to the pandemic, there is delay or various type of limitation faced by the manufactures to fulfill the end product delivery, which results in less availability of product in the market. This is why, the cost of available product have increased by several factors. Also due to the outbreak of COVID-19, pandemic has forced manufacturers to find new contract manufacturers and suppliers for move manufacturing activities to different or new facilities location that are less impacted by the outbreak.
In current situations, most of the countries are facing the second wave of COVID-19 due to which manufactures are facing difficulties with existing component supplier or contract, manufacturer which are at risk or closed or not being able to fulfil supply requirements due to challenges such as extended periods of shut down, which has led to price fluctuation of frozen food products.
IMPACT ON DEMAND
Frozen food packaging witnessed a dip in the demand due to decline in consumption as well as the fear of contamination through manufacturing facilities. So, with the decline from end-users the demand for related sector has faced a major downfall. Due to lockdown, many food processing industries have been temporarily halted. This has impacted the food packaging market along with the other products.
For instance,
·         Manufacturers such as Emmerson packaging company are making environment friendly and organic products to increase the online purchases of frozen food products.
·         Stand up pouches have multiple advantages over traditional frozen food packaging. They make better use of available retail space by presenting a much larger customer-facing graphic panel, and are much lighter than traditional rigid packaging, making them easier and less expensive to transport.
·         Emmerson Packaging helped lead the way in developing a truly recyclable frozen food package with the introduction of SmartPack. This sustainable option provides the premium look and performance of a traditional laminate, but uses innovative energy-curing technology to reduce the number of films needed to produce the package.
Thus, the COVID-19 affected the demand of frozen food packaging market and to recover from this, manufacturers are innovating environment friendly, organic and recyclable frozen food packaging products. Additionally, they started focusing on selling goods online so the customers can easily buy products, it will increase the company growth as well in near forecast period.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the supply chains were disrupted globally. Companies are facing issue with the raw materials as most of the countries are under complete shutdown. In this situation, both manufacturers and consumers are facing issues with the timely availability of raw materials. The restrictions over transportation are another factor that affected the supply chain.
For instance,
·         Geographically company diversified the supply chain to reduce the risk of any one region
·         Company are planned use multiple sources
CONCLUSION
Pandemic has taken a toll on every aspect of life, including the global economy. With the significant downfalls in many sectors, a collaborative effort of government, industry players, and consumers can win the fight against COVID-19.
It still continues to inflict the world with appalling economic and social dilemmas, capable enough to leave severe backlash on the economy for the next several years. The first wave had already inflicted severe blows to the population as well as the economy. The currently experiencing second wave is expected to be more disastrous not only to the masses but also to consumer goods markets.
The outbreak of COVID-19 has had a severe impact on the frozen food market as government announced full shutdown which declined the consumption level of packaging foods. Supply chains were disrupted globally and end-users couldn’t get product at required time. Additionally, many governments restricted the movement of goods across countries and locally, manufacturers had to halt production due to lack of raw materials.  All these factors restrain the growth of frozen food market, globally.
