Very much looking forward to seeing all the new stuff in Xenoblade X DE. Neilnail, the new qlurian, is one character I'm particularly interested in seeing more about since the two skells that share her name did make it into the original game as time attack bosses.

Coraline may also be a little infatuated with her. I'll give them this, the alien girls in X are definitely pretty.

Was digging through old clips and found this. If you're thinking about getting Xenoblade X DE or are on the fence about it, here's an example of just how absurdly powerful you can get in just the original game.

This isn't even close to the upper limit btw, there are far more powerful builds possible and I can't even imagine what kind of shit will be possible with DE's additions.

Wanted to do more with my character Coraline from Xenoblade X and I was in a ZX mood so I thought I'd try and adapt her to a ZX style design. Lore below.

She's a human hunter but she's not exactly loaded so a lot of her gear is cobbled together from scrap mavericks. This extends to her armor, much of which is salvaged from scrapped Galleons, which is why the colors on those pieces are chipped and faded. I actually got the idea from how most of the armor you use in XCX is obtained from enemies you beat. Naturally she has her knife and pistols in a ZX ish form. All in all I actually think she translated pretty well to ZX this way. The original design is here for comparison.

An idea I've had on the backburner for a while now is getting a model of Coraline off of Xenoblade X in order to have a more flexible reference for her when drawing, because going by screenshots is limited enough, especially for specific poses.

Well today, after learning how to import models into CSP, I figured I'd look back into it and it's been working I managed to finally get a full dump of Xenoblade X's files and access the models.

Due to the way Xenoblade X works though, all of the pieces of each character model are seperated, it's actually super interesting to see how the devs made this kind of thing work from a development standpoint. As a result though I effectively have to assemble any character I want a model for from scratch, and it's...

Finally got to finishing Coraline today, my Xenoblade X OC based on my Cross from my most recent playthrough. She's one of my first OCs and I'm really happy with her design.

Her Blade Armour design is really complicated and detailed, but it's a good look, especially in game, so I want to get used to drawing it. I do also have ideas for a casual design, that I'll work on later down the line.

Casual Coraline. Iirc the outfit is the Prime Turtleneck and Workpants. Not a lot of good options for casual legwear in X honestly, something for a DE or X2 I guess.

Assembling Coraline's model is going well, I've found all the pieces of her outfit, now I just need to figure out how to get the textures right and export them all as a rigged model in a format where those textures actually get preserved.

Yeah if it wasn't obvious I know nothing about working with 3D Models. If this post happens to reach anyone familiar with working with Xenoblade models I'd really appreciate some advice here.

God, I've been trying to finish putting together a recreation of Coraline's model to use as a reference since I wanted to draw her more since Xenoblade X DE got revealed. I've been struggling to both get both the model and bones properly put together and in a way that the final exported model can be imported into Clip Studio.

Honestly at this point I'm kinda thinking I should just cut my losses and ask someone more familiar with this stuff to ask if they can do it.
