Los Angeles ranch house becomes Zen Den by Working Holiday Studio
The owners of design firm Working Holiday Studio have renovated their own mid-century residence by opening up the kitchen, adding skylights and filling the interior with contemporary decor.
The house, called Zen Den, is located in Woodland Hills, a suburban community in Los Angeles that lies about 20 minutes by car from the beach.
The house is a 1960s ranch-style property
Carlos Naude and Whitney Brown – the couple behind Working Holiday Studio and its companion interior design practice, Working Holiday Spaces – purchased the 1960s, ranch-style house last year during the coronavirus pandemic.
The duo, who have a toddler son, formerly lived in a compact urban residence and desired more space. The house checked many boxes, yet it was in need of a major overhaul.
Skylights were added to the kitchen during the renovation
"We wanted to restore the residence to its original glory while reimagining it for modern living," the couple said, noting that they also served as the project's general contractor, with input from their friend Zach Leigh at Goodboy Develops.
On the exterior, the home's stucco cladding was repaired and repainted. The duo also installed a new roof, along with new windows and patio doors.
Zen Den was designed to double as a furniture and product showroom
Inside, the single-storey, four-bedroom home was gutted. Upgrades were made to the floors, insulation, plumbing and electrical systems, and a significant portion of the drywall.
The team added skylights and reconfigured certain areas of the house. In particular, a wall between the kitchen and the dining room was removed.
"We opened up the kitchen so you could take in the views, added skylights throughout the house to bring in more light, and completely reconfigured and renovated both bathrooms," the designers said.
For the finishes and decor, the duo took inspiration from Japanese, Scandinavian and Mexican design styles. The home is meant to double as a showroom.
A white chair by Noom is included in the living room
"We worked with designers and brands to display their products in our home," the designers said. "We are in the process of creating an online shop where people can buy the products."
The living room is fitted with a rust-coloured, velvet sofa from Normann Copenhagen and a round coffee table with tube-shaped legs from Hedge House. A white accent chair is from Noom, a young studio in Ukraine.
The breakfast nook features a custom terrazzo table
The adjoining dining room has a black marble table from the Mexican brand Casa Quieta, which also supplied the chairs. Overhead is a Mori pendant from Brooklyn's RBW.
In the kitchen, the designers sought out premium materials that would be easy to maintain. The prefabricated cabinets are from the Danish company Reform, and the quartz countertops are from Caesarstone.
A children's bunkbed has a rearrangeable configuration
A breakfast nook features a custom table made of terrazzo from California-based Concrete Collaborative. The terrazzo was actually leftover from a refurbishment of the guest bathroom.
The table has a white oak base – the same wood used to fabricate the surrounding bench. Oak also was used for the flooring throughout the home.
Green ceramic tiles feature in the bathroom
The sleeping areas feature neutral colours and cosy decor. In a kid's bedroom, the designers installed a wooden bunk bed from Oeuf that can be arranged in different configurations.
Bathrooms feature sinks from Concretti, countertops from Concrete Collaborative and ceramic tiles from Fireclay. Kuzco lighting and Kohler fixtures round out the selection.
An outdoor living area includes a large dining table
Given Southern California's pleasant climate, the designers wanted to incorporate an opportunity for indoor-outdoor living. A rear patio is adorned with a sectional sofa from Neighbor and a chunky accent table from Zachary A, along with a custom dining set that seats up to 12.
Other projects by Working Holiday Studio include Casa Miami, an all-white holiday home that stands in stark contrast to its desert setting in California, near Joshua Tree National Park. Like Zen Den, the house is meant to be shoppable, with guests able to purchase the decor via a dedicated website.
The photography is by Candida Wohlgemuth and Carlos Naude.

Get the Look for Less: Tommy Hilfiger’s Magnificent Miami Mansion
realtor.com
We’ll say this for Tommy Hilfiger. The famed fashion designer doesn’t take half-measures.
His Golden Beach, FL, home on the market for $29 million is a fully over-the-top ode to color, texture, and pop art.
Even without the eye-popping interior, the home, located just north of Miami, grabbed our attention. It’s 14,000 square feet of exclusive beachfront real estate complete with 100 feet of ocean frontage, lush landscape, and an infinity pool.
Hilfiger and his wife, Dee, picked up the 2007 contemporary to house their art collection, and secured Los Angeles interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard to complete the look. The result is a profusion of gorgeous graphic prints, ’70s-era furnishings, and bold, bright colors from floor to ceiling.
The designer decor caught the attention of Architectural Digest, which featured a spread in 2014. As AD so eloquently put it, “‘Wow!’ might be an understatement.”
But you don’t have to be a world-famous fashion mogul with your own celebrity designer to re-create elements of Hilfiger’s house. With a tight budget, we found some fab, fun home decor inspired by the look of the home that you can acquire for much, much less.
So … let’s go shopping!
Paging Austin Powers
Living room
realtor.com; target.com; jonathanadler.com
The shagadelic purple-and-red carpet in the wild living room echoes the brightly hued pillows on the sofa. While we’re sadly unable to afford works by Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, we can certainly snag a fun pop art–inspired pillow or two, like this periwinkle blue faux fur number from Target for $21.99. We’re also taken by the doggie sculpture on the coffee table, which you can adopt for your home, available at Jonathan Adler for $138.
Mellow yellows and fun florals
Spotted bedroom
realtor.com; finnstyle.com
While we’d love to spend a night in this guest bedroom, the bright color scheme would undoubtably keep us awake. Instead of tossing and turning, we’ve found a great compromise.
We absolutely love the Warhol floral print over the bed, so why not get some yellow-tinged flower-print bedding from Marimekko for a similarly colorful vibe? It’s only $159 for a queen duvet set.
Red alert
Seeing red in the theater room
realtor.com; houzz.com
A theater bedecked in red is a classic look that’ll never go out of style. To get the retro rouge furniture, we recommend some upholstered armchairs of your own in a rosy hue. We think these ones—priced at $200.99 each—are perfect seats for munching on popcorn while you watch a flick.
Light the way
Cool kitchen
realtor.com; houzz.com
The right light is a must for a dynamic white-and-black kitchen filled with brand-name appliances. The hanging light in the photo is from the 1970s.
Rather than scour vintage shops, we found a chrome eight-bulb pendant light that has a similar vibe and can serve as an artsy conversation piece. At just a little over $300, it’s a bargain to boot.
The perfect pendant
Mid-Century Modern office
realtor.com; ikea.com
The red and blue blocks of color in the office truly rock, but our eye was drawn upward to the light. We found a similar Mid-Century Modern vibe with a pendant lamp from Ikea for only $39.29.
A supreme shag rug
Hypnotic sitting room
realtor.com; jossandmain.com
This blue-hued sitting room with dizzying wallpaper patterns is calmed by a few key textural touches, like the white shag rug. We found a similar one on sale for just $31.99.
Wild for wallpaper
Banana bathroom
realtor.com; etsy.com
This bathroom is bananas! While this might not be our first choice for a powder room, the yellow fruit print adds a fun and tropical flair to the small space.
With bananas on the brain, we tracked down a similar fruit-based wallpaper on Etsy, starting at $37. Bonus? It’s removable wallpaper, so it’ll work for renters, too.
Step into the fire
Outdoor lounge
realtor.com; houzz.com
Design extends outdoors, where you can ponder the elegant curves of a Keith Haring sculpture along with the ocean. While we can’t copy the view, we do love the idea of a fire pit. Here’s one with a contemporary look we found for less than $1,000. Hey, you gotta splurge somewhere!

Uplifting Blue Interiors That Give That Blue Sky Mood
We all love to have a breezy blue sky mood, so why not give yourself a boost by shaping the decor inside of your very own home to promote a positive outlook. Blue is the colour of fine weather, calm waters, and good times, and we all need more of those. Team blue accents with a silver lining of pale grey decor, and wisps of white, for freshness and clarity. Warm metals add modern sleekness to the result, whilst natural wood tones and rattan elements evoke a beachy atmosphere. These four home tours include all of this, plus a more shadowy approach where the blue theme builds an energised undercurrent.
Designer: Guan Pin & INX Design   Blue home interior number one is spiced with warm metals and wood tone against a smooth pale grey and white canvas. Breezy blue accents dot the neutral setting, in the shape of scatter cushions and throws on the modern sofa.
A small round coffee table adds a crisp spot of white onto a dark grey area rug in the lounge, opposite a white and pale wood TV wall.
A blue dining bench slices a bright divide through the middle of the open plan living room.
The dining bench is mixed and matched with comfortable grey dining chairs and a modern marble topped dining table.
A copper linear dining room light makes wonderfully warm contrast with the cool grey dining chairs. White storage cabinets back the space.
Directly adjacent to the dining room is a home workspace, which is zoned distinctively by a blue painted feature wall at one side of the desk.
Sliding doors can be pulled closed around the home office to create privacy and quiet from the rest of the living room–or to shield the relaxation zone from the view of work.
White and woodtone storage cabinets back the work area, and tie in gently with the finish of nearby kitchen cabinets.
A blue Eames bird sings out from a set of bespoke bookshelves.
Another linear chandelier design crosses above the work desk, this time with shining gold shades. A taupe swivel chair makes a stylish and comfortable part of the home setting.
Unique coffee mugs follow the metallic theme of the room.
The same storage system that backs the dining area runs around into the home entryway, where white and wood units are accentuated against a rich blue feature wall.
Blue goes missing in a smart neutral grey and wood bathroom scheme.
Designer: KM Design LAB   Our second tour takes place in a 66.4 square metre flat located in Lviv, Ukraine. The client here requested a maritime and travel theme that would maintain the spacious feel of the apartment. Gold wall sconces instantly evoke the intended theme in a cloudy grey, white and blue living room.
A mid century style coffee table adds a moment of natural woodtone into the centre of the lounge.
Plentiful blue accessories jostle in a cheerful beachy palette.
Geometric line appears in the light modern rug design, and in a gorgeous wooden media unit.
Wegner style Wishbone Chairs create interest around a simple white and wood dining table.
The white dining set stands out crisply against the blue dominated backdrop.
The designers installed transoms to maximise light from the limited windows at their disposal, of which there were only two.
An oversize rattan dining room pendant light shade ramps up the world travel theme.
Designer: Oficina3d   Visualizer: Oficina3d   Our third home design is a vision of cobalt and crisp white, where modern light tracks cut around the ceiling line, and modern furniture stretches out in minimalist lines.
A blue ottoman coffee table splashes character into the centre of the minimalist living room, and sends its colour theme rippling outward to crash against slatted blue interior doors and a blue kitchen.
A modern lounge chair stands on a black wireframe base, which amplifies lined pattern in the area rug.
The dazzling cobalt blue kitchen is textured with on trend slatted panelling to exaggerate the effect. Crisp white kitchen bar stools, pendant lights and countertops clean up and lighten up the look. We think it would be pretty much impossible not to feel uplifted when walking into this room to make our morning coffee!
Visualizer: One Tone Architects   Our last home interior is a bit on the darker side, yet feels completely energised by the blue theme that streaks through its 84 square metre floor plan, located in Miami, USA. A plush floor sofa sets the tone in the centre of the lounge, where blue and houndstooth cushions layer up.
Large doors conceal a TV wall inside this minimalist living room, to maintain a sleek and clean aesthetic. Only a black backed hearth area at the base of the media wall remains permanently on show.
The large bifold doors move back flat against the wall when the TV is in use.
A modern fireplace awaits ignition on the contemporary hearth. A floor lamp glows by the blue sofa.
A light grey area rug holds the elements of the lounge together as one, and defines it from a kitchen diner space behind.
The light grey rug lays subtly with grey wood chevron flooring, which runs throughout the entire open plan.
A room divider lets daylight penetrate into the home entryway space.
The home entryway is decorated dramatically, with black paint engulfing every shadowy wall and door.
A black dining island extends beneath a boxy linear suspension light.
Six blue kitchen bar stools energise the monochrome culinary space.
In the minimalist bedroom, a blue bed set dresses a bespoke black floor bed design. A small bedroom chair brings in a quirky, curvy element.
Modern bedside table lamps sit on boxy bedsides.
Grey chevron flooring continues inside the bedroom.
A blue shower enclosure looks refreshing.
A flat fronted modern bathroom vanity establishes the minimalist bathroom style.
1. Blue vase 2. Geometric wall art 3. Blue sofa 4. Blue step trash can 5. Blue throw pillows 6. Blue floor lamp 7. Blue comforter set 8. Blue lamp 9. Blue accent chair

Jet Set Miami Home Inspired By A Super Yacht
Set on land at the southern end of Dilido Island, this magnificent Miami home has been designed to evoke the experience of being on the deck of a super yacht. The luxury house stretches across the longest elevation of the coastline, and boasts enviable views of neighbouring islands, of downtown and South Beach. SAOTA architects designed Casa Dilido to match the jet set lifestyle of Biscayne Bay, creating layers of luxury across a 1670 square metre living space. The defining characteristic of the build is a smooth fusion of indoor and outdoor spaces, a theme that is made possible by a versatile terrace that incorporates a collection of semi-covered external living rooms.
Crisp cool white outdoor lounge chairs are neatly arranged around the sun terrace, where towering palm trees reach up to clear blue skies. An infinity pool reflects the azure heavens, and laps around the sharp edge of the outdoor living space. Two mooring docks reach out from the house to meet jet skis and small boats, keeping the flow between land and sea continuous and fluid. There is also an outdoor bar at the far end of the terrace, with a row of stools standing poised for good company. Martini seats have been installed in shallow water, and an outdoor pop-up table waits at the water’s edge on which to serve dinner.
Tropical flower beds colour the white stone sun terrace. A path of white stepping stones leads cross the infinity pool’s shimmering surface.
The plant beds are positioned below an opening in the terrace roof, to allow the planted palm trees to grow right on through.
The maturing palms will shoot through the open roof and past a glass balustrade a couple of storeys up. A tower of multi-story windows look upon the view.
A bright verdigris patina colours the edges of pre-oxidized copper ceiling tiles under the canopy.
Multiple entertaining areas are incorporated into the versatile terrace. Here we see a sunken tub in the swimming pool, nestled close by a lounge area that’s fashioned by a square of modern outdoor chairs and a natural wood coffee table. Square stepping stones cross the water at the this end, adjoining the main terrace to the outdoor bar.
Views of downtown and South Beach span the horizon.
Moving inside the home, the decor is formal yet fresh. Red art provides youthful pops of vivid colour onto the neutral backdrop of the modern living room. A contemporary fireplace blazes along the width of a slick panelled chimney breast.
Cutaway strips in the wood ceiling reveal LED light sources. The centre of the room is occupied by a unique coffee table with storage space beneath, settled on a silver-grey rug. A black accent chair with matching footstool stands in the connecting space between the lounge and the kitchen diner, where the same monochrome palette continues on through. Mezmerising cutaway bronze panels screen the kitchen from the main internal core of the home on the other side.
On the opposite side of the huge bronze screens, which are hung from the ceiling, a majestic white and glass staircase design spirals upward through a double height dining room. The sculptural architectural elements and works of art breathe character into the vast and lofty hall. Given the massive floor area of the brief, the architects searched out a balance between scale and intimacy by composing the layout as two fractured wings on each side of the central core.
Outside again, a vertical garden blankets the wall by a koi pond.
Interior volumes reach out into the water.
The hanging bronze screens sandwich a dark wood table and heavy dining chairs, all set upon a light grey area rug.
Designer bedroom pendant lights glow at each side of a bespoke headboard design. The bed base and bedside units are custom built too, running as one adjoined volume.
Restricted entrance is gained via the Venetian Causeway. A double-volume entrance hall awaits.
Pure white stucco gleaming in the sunshine, grey limestone, brass and copper detailing, azure pools and green landscapes come together in a classy show of luxury that’s just perfect for Biscayne Bay.
Lush borders colour a generous driveway. Exterior volumes of wall become connected by the implementation of a curved glass screen across the fascia of the building.
Floor plan illustrating the upper level and layout of the main bedrooms. The master bedroom has a generously sized ensuite with whirlpool bath. The three almost identically sized bedrooms with matching waterside views were created for the three daughters of the owner.
Ground floor plan featuring the entrance hall, great room, dining room, kitchen, butler kitchen, garage, home cinema, study, and pool terrace. To echo the fabulous nature of the homes location by the sea with neighbouring islands, the home’s pool was made to wind around the entire house. The water unifies the outdoor space, and causes smaller islands, which join together interior and exterior areas. The mass of the home separates to form a dramatic canyon, which frames the view to the bay.
Floor plan showing roof terrace, which is accessed by an elevator. The roof terrace is equipped with a second bar, a cooking stove, and a hot tub from which the homeowner can soak up stunning views of downtown Miami, twinkling across the horizon.

Kitchen Renovation Ideas That Increase The Value Of Your Home
The kitchen is the most important part of any home. A big chunk of time is spent there to cook food. And it is only natural to see oneself caught in a massive dilemma when the prospect of renovating the kitchen comes up. It is always a challenge to come up with new ideas that will not only be light on the pocket but at the same time would increase the value of the home. Before you jump on the choices, make sure you carry out a cost-benefit analysis.
Renovations could be useless if you don’t plan for them. When planning to remodel the kitchen, one should keep in mind that the renovation cost could be recouped when the selling time comes, because people always want the best deal for their money. And spending a couple of bucks to revamp your old setting could create a huge difference in the value of your home.
Here’s everything you need to know before planning to renovate your kitchen.
  THE DESIGN
The design is the most important part of your remodeling plan. You can’t go to the store and buy random stuff for renovations. For that, you need to know what to replace and what to revamp. For the best design, you can always hire a professional to make one for you but it’ll be heavy on the pocket. To save money, you can go for newbies who can do your work for cheaper. But the cheapest way to look for the best design is the internet. You can always search for the design of your taste while surfing through Pinterest, Tumblr or Instagram for free.
PAINT TO RESCUE
If you’re not able to afford a new setting, you can always paint the oldies to give them a new touch. Old fashioned cabinets give your kitchen the 90s look. The cuts and carvings on the wooden cabinets are so outdated while Italian white cabinets look so chic and shiny.
The trick is to paint perfectly and it will hide all the damages and peelings. Make sure you pick the right paint. Painting the cabinets in bright white is always a great idea especially if you have a small space as it illuminates the whole area giving an illusion of a bigger space. You can also opt for pastels for a similar look.
FLOORINGS
A new kitchen setting with the same old boring floor gives a dull image. Floorings these days are cheap, low maintenance and durable. There are multiple options in the market you can choose according to your taste. Make sure you opt for something that can bear spills. Here are some options you can choose from in ascending price range
Laminate wood
Vinyl
Bamboo
Tile
Rubber
Cork
Stone
Concrete
Laminate wood is the most cost-effective option. It is used in most contemporary designs.
LIGHT IT UP
Update new lights in the kitchen to give it an extra oomph. Dark spaces aren’t attractive. When placed correctly, lights make a huge difference. You need to know the trick to place them. Different home stores offer amazing contemporary lights at affordable rates. If you’re looking for more discounts, you can always wait for sales. The pendant lights above the center counter and small lights pointed towards the cooking area are trending these days. Some extra light under the cabinets will give a rich look while not being so heavy on the pocket. You can also take off the lights you paid for if you’re moving to your new house.
CHANGE THE COUNTERTOP
Marble kitchen countertops are the most popular type to work on but there are so many beautiful contemporary options to choose from. Different colors, textures, and materials add to the beauty and value of your kitchen. Whether you want something low maintenance and stain resistant or something luxurious, this list covers all. Remember changing your kitchen countertops can give your space an instant makeover.
Caesar stone
Lacquered Copper
Oak slab
Sealed wood
Green siltstone
Butcher block
Suede finish
Glass top
Zinc
Marble and iron
Raw wood
Black granite
Bluestone
Quartzite
Weathered barn wood
Mahogany
Just keep in mind the whole theme in which you want to renovate your kitchen and choose accordingly.
SWING-OUT CABINETS
Don’t we all run out of the space in the kitchen?  Then Swing out cabinets could be your best pick! They are easy to install and can store an adequate amount of stuff while taking minimal space.
ORGANIZERS IN CABINETS
Organizers are the best things to increase the value of your home by spending a few bucks. These can vary in quality and price as the materials could be different but they all work in the same way. You can also make them on your own if you’re crafty. Organizers in kitchen help to fit all the stuff behind the cabinet doors, cleaning all the mess from the countertops and slabs. Read more here.
OPEN SHELVES
Open shelves can make the small kitchens look bigger. Remove the door, sand the edges to prevent cuts. Then brush a coat of varnish to prevent peels and last, paint. You can also add hooks at the edges to store cups or pans,
BACKSPLASHES
Backsplashes are a clever way to prevent your wall from water splashes. They’re pretty aesthetic and add a modern touch to your kitchen. They’re quite affordable and adds to the real estate value of your home. They also prevent the paint on your kitchen wall from getting damp. Installing backsplashes could save your time and money from repainting that part of your kitchen wall. There are multiple options with prints and colors but classic white tiles are the most popular choice.
FITTINGS AND FIXTURES
It is important to install the taps and pipes of the best quality as their malfunction would ruin your house value. Low-quality taps and pipes would allow water to leak and seep through the walls which could be the worst nightmare of any house owner. Invest in the best quality and classic designs, as minimalism rules,
MAKE WAY FOR NATURAL LIGHT
Natural light in your kitchen would make it feel pleasant and look bigger. You can place small plants of ingredients you use in your kitchen like herbs; coriander and mint, cherry tomatoes or lemons. You can always cover the windows with blinds at days when you don’t want natural light.

Glass Table Dining Rooms on Home Interior Designs
Home Interior Decorating Ideas published on https://www.interiorhd.com/diningroom/glass-table-dining-rooms/
Glass Table Dining Rooms
Dining Rooms – When we say glass dining table, it does not mean a dining table made entirely of glass, rather, a table top made from glass and is supported with a frame generally made from timber, metal, and in some cases, ceramics. The frame, whatever the material is, holds the glass and incorporates the legs of the dining table. One thing that many people worry about is whether glass dining tables are actually safe, especially if you have kids around. The good news is that they can be just as safe as any other type of dining table, especially since most tables on the market now use tempered safety glass.
We know that glass tables are an excellent choice for many reasons, one of which is that it is versatile and pretty much work for whatever theme or style you want to achieve; second, well, although most of the time dining tables can match any chair you want, glass tables work better than most of them. Even when most people prefer clear see-through glass, put in mind that we can always use other colors for them. Take a look at the 15 Lovely Glass Table Dining Rooms we have below, enjoy!
Beach Style Glass Table Dining Room
Pairing a glass table and ghost chairs didn’t look this awesome, really. But since the space was designed to be all white, the choice was pretty neat.
Flat in Kalorama Glass Table Dining Room
The Riva 1920 dining table is definitely a stunning piece to add to a lovely dining space like this. The wooden legs of the table contrast the metal legs of the chairs which are good in a way because it creates a great feel for the space.
Forest Manor Glass Table Dining Rooms
Dark shades can add drama to a space, but sometimes they’re overwhelming on a full wall. Choose a two-toned look and to balance a dark and light color for a sophisticated and fresh look. Notice how the rug mimics the wall, pulling the style into the space.
Italian Loft Glass Table Dining Rooms
This glass dining table, seen from an upper floor, has a uniquely shaped base showing through the glass.
Los Angeles Dining Room
Open design is always a great thing when it comes to planning, especially in the kitchen-dining area. On this photo, we can see the outdoors directly from this dining room. Great dining set, right?
Miami Interior Design
“Make sure mirrors reflect something pretty,” Ronderos advises. “We used them to make this space look bigger.” At first glance, you’d never know how much storage is hidden in here; behind the first three doors on the left is concealed storage; one door conceals a sink for washing hands before dinner.
New York Modern Dining Room
The strand oriented bamboo dark color for the flooring is great and looks extremely pretty for the white dining set we have in this space. Note the base of the table which looks really neat.
Orchard Street Glass Table Dining Rooms
When installing an oversized mirror, be mindful of what it will reflect. In this dining room, the mirror shows a lovely reflection of not only the crystal chandelier, but also of a painting and a winding staircase in the foyer.
Palm House Glass Table Dining Rooms
The intelligent dining room having a separate library is so Downtown Abbey. Behold the library and dining room combo. Walls lined with books make a room feel cozy and intimate. Plus, your dinner guests will know how well read you are.
Philadelphia Modern Dining Room
Dining chair with structure in polished or painted die-cast aluminum. Seat and back in polycarbonate or covered with hide leather. Also available completely covered with leather.
San Anselmo Glass Table Dining Rooms
A family heirloom from Jim’s family, this stunning Norwegian chandelier stands out as the table centerpiece. Beautiful chairs passed down from Karin’s parents have been re-covered in a Marimekko fabric.
Sask Cres Dining Room
This glass top added to the table to make bigger did not only literally made it bigger but it gave the owners and the visitors an opportunity to admire the beautiful flooring and table base.
St. Simons Island, GA
Don’t you just think that the nook behind the dining set is pretty in its dark brown color and is accentuated with pretty pendants? Honestly, the dining set we have here is really interesting, with a huge vase for the base of the glass, it sure looks divine!
Stampede Dream Home
We were not able to get any information as to what material was used for the dining table. But we are sure that no one will contend that the table looks incredible and the chairs definitely complement it well. Even the driftwood candelabra make a statement – one conversational piece indeed!
White Kitchen Glass Table
The comfortable chairs may be simple and all-too-flowery, but the dining table’s subtlety makes all the difference.
You might think that it would take a lot of work to maintain a glass dining table but this is not necessarily the case. As most glass dining tables are made from tempered glass, they are quite naturally scratch resistant and heat resistant. You can always ask the manufacturer or the retailer where you got your table as to how you can care and maintain your glass dining tables; or you can always check the internet for information. Hope the 15 Lovely Glass Table Dining Rooms served its purpose of inspiring us if ever we are thinking about getting a glass table or update your existing one! The Doheny Estates community is close to designer shopping, top dining establishments, and all the entertainment that Sunset Strip has to offer in West Hollywood, and in nearby Beverly Hills.
With all of the home’s own amenities, there is a sense of living in a retreat above the sprawling city below.
Glass walls retract to fully connect each of the indoor living spaces with the outdoor pool and sun patio at its core.
This indoor-outdoor home design also provides the perfect setting for get togethers and large parties too, allowing guests to spill out into the evening air.
Underwater lights colour the hot tub in contrasting pink, against the zero edge blue swimming pool.
Outdoor chaise lounge chairs line up to spectate.
Steps border the full length and breadth of the swimming pool.
An outdoor lounge area is arranged with a wall mounted TV.
Outdoor seating looks out through glass balustrades at the enviable view.
The skyscape drifts into the heart of the house over the swimming pool.
The colour of the outdoor swimming pool inspires an aqua accent palette inside of the home. An aqua ottoman stretches out beside the retractable glass doors, and matching scatter cushions brighten a crisp white modern sofa. Colourful works of art decorate the gallery white walls.
A couple of taupe poufs are grouped with the ottoman at the doors to provide extra options for guests.
Lightweight white voiles draw across the windows to filter out the LA sun. For the size of the room, furniture is quite minimal. A small side table serves the sofa, and a single wall shelf holds a modern vase.
In the dining room there is seating for ten. A modern dining room chandelier shines down on the long glass tabletop.
A wood effect sideboard stretches the length of the large table.
Just like the indoor lounge, the dining room opens up fully to the pool patio.
The dining room joins openly with the kitchen. There is another dining area in here, with seating for six. The unique kitchen pendant lights are the Vibia Cosmos cluster pendant.
The dining peninsula runs off of a large kitchen island. A ceiling soffit provides housing for a built-in cooker hood.
Two openings provide entry to the kitchen from the formal dining room–one enters the casual dining area by the windows, and the other has direct access to the food prep galley.
The shark pool is another indoor-outdoor space. A canopy shelters a zen relaxation zone, but at the sides the space is open air. Stepping stones meander across the waters calm surface, and a vertical garden grows a revitalising effect. Check out the video at the end to enjoy more of this space.
The home is sumptuous yet simplified.
A wood and glass staircase design climbs the levels of the house.
Wood clad ceiling areas add warmth to the cool white interior.
This entire luxury bedroom ceiling is a vision of natural wood grain; its warm tones inspire the colourway of the bed runner and two modern bedroom chairs.
White bedside table lamps look crisp against a dark grey headboard design.
A glass coffee table stands between the bedroom chairs, forming a conversational area in front of the contemporary fireplace.
The home is equipped with state-of-the-art smart house technology, including automated curtains and doors.
Designer finishes and imported materials are found throughout the home, along with relaxing aromatherapy, and a water purification system.
A game of pool is played under a linear suspension light, in a snug with a roaring fireplace.
A luxurious home theatre makes the most of movie night–or reliving some epic Game of Thrones action.
There is much attention paid to keeping drinks at optimum temperature inside this sociable home.
A glass wine storage room makes an extensive bottle collection part of the dining room decor.
Outdoor chairs meet on another terrace.
Glass siding keeps balconies open to the view.
Olive green, plum and yellow accents colour a plain white painted guest room with a 4 poster bed. See more 4 poster beds here.
The master bedroom has a huge walk in wardrobe, with garment rails and shelves set out around three sides, and a large orange ottoman at its centre for throwing down outfit ideas.
The home gym is equipped with a massage table, for working out tired muscles and strains.
Luxury tiles decorate the areas around a resistance pool and plunge pool.
The large master bathroom with bathtub is also home to huge walk-in shower and a generous double sink bathroom vanity. Mosaic tiles bring small detail and texture.

A Colour Rich Indian Home With Concrete Architecture And Interiors
Designed by Dipen Gada & Associates, this modern house is composed of patterned concrete and exposed brick. Situated on a much loved 4010 square foot green plot in Vadodara, India, the ambitious goal of a 5350 square feet home was achieved by designing the dwelling as a 3 floor structure. The architect also satisfied a list of requirements which simply included 6 bedrooms, a home-theatre, living room, dining room, kitchen with store and utility area, lift, garden area, terrace garden and servant quarters. Exposed concrete is a strong visual inside the Patel’s residence too, utilised not just as a building material but as a substance of art to evoke atmosphere.
By extending the structure to three stories high to achieve the desired square footage, the architect was able to sensitively accommode established trees on the plot.
The cold look of concrete is jaxtaposed by rich wooden doors and colour dense glossy floors.
Pre-existing trees have even been granted growth space through the very structure itself, by piercing great holes in concrete volumes. 17 out of 20 trees were saved on the plot.
Much emphasis has been placed on the beauty of the established greenery, like this floor design in the courtyard that emanates from a grand old tree. The courtyard feeds natural light into the heart of the house, as well as being an escape channel for hot air. Rooms on all floors open toward the courtyard as a focal point, which also proposes opportunities of vertical interaction among the family.
We witness a unity between strong cool concrete and the warmth of interior accents as we enter the home. Colourful artwork and accessories add layers to the design. Hardwood, kota stone, Italian marble and white ambaji marble span the floors.
A spacious living room with an air of grandeur looks out onto the courtyard, and opens onto a deck overlooking a garden rich with trees.
Colourful artwork towering into the rafters bedecks a stunning open plan dining room. Intricate patterned tiling brings art all the way down to floor level too, creating a beautiful stage to walk upon. A swing chair hovers above the attractive area so as not to break the pattern. The blue upholstery of the seat creates high contrast against the orange tone of the tile.
A mezzanine level overlooks the double height dining room, making the upper floor at viewing height with the top of the tall wall art. Two levels of windows stream in copius amounts of natural sunlight. Dark wood clads the ceiling to visually cap the lofty area.
An industrial style staircase rises through the home.
A huge metalwork pendant light illuminates the centre of the staircase, casting a spotlight over a sculpture in pride of place. A star design on the floor acts as a plinth, adding further importance to the bold installation.
The mezzanine level that overlooks the dining room holds a sophisticated sitting area, themed with red.
2D shapes individually define a row of pendant lights along a landing, and hang in a loose cluster over the stairs. A spot of sunlight is cast onto the floor from a high circular window.
A geometric design adds interest to an area of concrete ceiling in the hallway. Recessed spotlights are punched through. Interior glass doors are etched with pattern.
Inside the first bedroom scheme we find another swing seat. This time the upholstery matches the beige and mocha colourway of the room. An expansive white headboard holds bedside table shelves as one continuous volume, backing onto a concrete feature wall.
A second bedroom suite holds vibrant shades of orange complemented by warm wood tone.
This bedroom has a softly glowing headboard wall, teamed with cornflower blue area rugs and a matching bed runner.
Yellow is the key colour here, used over the covers of fashion forward geometric throw pillows, a bed cover and a modern reading chair.
The last bedroom contains a retro travel theme. Pictures of Paris’s Eiffel Tower and London’s Big Ben adorn the walls. A large retro clock brings character to a plain white wall.
The blue bathroom is a unique space.
A fretwork wall breaks away in a delicate uneven edge. A hexagonal mirror echoes the fretwork design. A traditional vanity unit has been given an eclectic edge with the addition of a colourful contemporary basin and a highly modern white faucet. A green tidy tray throws another hue at the wash area, to tie in with colour rich artwork on a neighbouring wall.
Concrete and blue wash up against one another over the bathroom walls and floor. Blue concrete steps lead up to a sunken jacuzzi style bathtub, nestled safely below the eyeline of a row of crystal clear picture windows.
A second bathroom is a vision of matte gold.
The home theatre is an impressive size, holding a large brown leather sofa and two red lounge chairs. A unique coffee table stands at its centre.
Atmospheric lighting is diffused over wood clad movie theatre walls.
A beautiful roof garden hides amongst the treetops.
Bifold doors are retracted to create a dining deck looking out over lush green lawns.
A subtle path winds across the roof terrace.
The concrete facade and concrete volumes within the home are inspired by the works of S. H. Raza, and translated by the passion of the designer Dipen Gada.
