i think a lot of bother about the girin familiar can be solved by a change in perspective. you are not paying $2.50 for a familiar, you are donating $2.50 to a charity and as a bonus you receive a familiar. people are so focused on this png when the real focus should be on the real people and real culture fr is trying to honor and connect with here.

OK but what would happen if you wore the Laszlo Cravensworth Cursed Hat and the Stede Bonnet Cursed Jacket together
Would the curses counteract each other or would you just explode immediately

How do historians view Eustace Chapuys' description of Anne Boleyn? It is said that most people think he is exaggerating?Researchers at Anne Boleyn seem to have significant differences… The biographies of Mary I seem to fully agree with his records
I'd actually push back on the latter claim. Academic biographies > pop history biographies tend to give Chapuys, at best, a 'perhaps' re: his claims about Anne as a stepmother, at the least...
For example:
"Perhaps at Anne Boleyn's instigation, but certainly with the King's active support, Mary was several times pressured to acknowledge the illegality of her mother's second marriage, her own illegitimacy and the precedence now due to her infant sister."
(realize this is technically not an excerpt from a Mary I biography, but Judith M. Richards' on Mary I basically states the same, that at most Lady Shelton was there to "keep a particularly close eye" on Mary...and even that instruction, she attributes to Thomas Cromwell, not 'Queen Anne')
"For an illegitimate royal offspring, Mary enjoyed a level of household status that was generous and indicative of Henry's personal affection for her. Although her household was little more than a glorified Privy Chamber staff whose first loyalty was to the king, the fact that she had a Privy Chamber staff at all was indicative that she still enjoyed high status. Her household existed through the king's generosity, but that was fully consistent with her status as his natural daughter—something the king's chief minister, Thomas Cromwell, was at pains to point out to Henry's critics. She was not, as Eustace Chapuys claimed at times, a servant in Elizabeth's household. She is not listed as part of the Privy Chamber staff of Elizabeth's household. Rather, Mary's household formed one half of a combined establishment funded by the crown. [...] this source must be treated with caution, as Chapuys habitually exaggerated the plight of Catherine and Mary probably in order to convince the Emperor to take stronger measures against Henry on their behalf."

Tiny fish boy was smol? 🥺 How chonkus was Ally then? So many questions!
Hey Anon, yeah fish boy decided to copy his biggest brother and came small and fast and early except he came even smaller and faster and earlier than I did!
I’m waiting on a GDF call so hey, why not inflict the full Tracy boy birth weight history on you all? Why do I know these numbers by heart you may ask? Well, I accompanied my Mom to a LOT of baby and toddler groups and I swear this was the main topic of conversation with the other Moms (and a fair few of the Dads) there:
I know, I know it’s hard to believe I was ever truly dinky but tis true - I had some growing problems in utero so they induced Mom and I clearly got the hint that it was Outside Time Right Now and arrived in about 10 mins flat at dead on 6 lb (2705g). But then needed a li’l help putting on some weight because I was kinda leggy and scrawny (shut up Gordon).
Gordon though - he was only cooking for 32 and a bit weeks before he needed Getting Outta There so he was super teeny - less than 4 lb (1680g)!! So he spent quite some time in his little growing tank covered in artificial sunshine and quite a lot of wires. I remember Mom and Dad being really worried but I never doubted he’d be ok because he was a Tracy and that’s how it works. (Well… up to a point. If you could stop using up your nine catfish lives Gordy that would be great).
John was a lot more average at birth and clearly swore on arrival that that was the last time he ever would be average at anything! Just shy of 8 lb (3610g) and only a week and a bit before his due date. Pretty sure he came out with half his first phd thesis drafted tbh as he was never all that interested in my dramatic retellings of Elmer and the Lorax. (Love you Johnny)
Then we have the chonks - Aliie was second biggest, despite still being a few days early! He was nearly 9 lb (4005g) and I swear the majority of that was in his cheeks 🥰 adorable and I suspect a relief for Mom and Dad after the Fish-mischief. Despite slimming down as he’s grown up, the kid has retained that cheeky cherub look which means he can get away with murder 🙄
And probably nobody will be surprised to hear Virgil stayed snuggled up and snoozing for longest and came out just over a week later than expected at a Tracy family record of 10 lb 2 oz (4610g). He has always been the most fun to cuddle although after a while he started picking ME up which took some getting used to.
Dad used to point out that if you took the mean of the five of us you’d get a very respectable 7 lb 3 baby (3322g) which is smack bang average. Mom did not think this statistic particularly relevant..

Captain Kathryn Janeway as a Brilliant Tactician, part 1, 2, 3 (version 1) (version 2)
Star Trek Voyager, 7x10 -Flesh and Blood II (version 1)
Hirogen ships wildly outclassed Voyager and the first time Voyager seriously went up against the Hirogen, the crew lost control of the ship and they were forced to participate in various Hirogen hunting games.
The crew barely took back Voyager and Janeway had to give Hirogen the Hologram tech to get them off her ship.
And then in season 7, after the EMH Doctor betrayed Voyager and thoroughly sabotaged the ship. The Engine room was a mess and the only reason Voyager didn't explode is because B'Elanna reinforced the Warp core. And then the holograms kidnap B'Elanna.
Voyager, battered and limping was on a mission to retrieve their two lost crew members. So Janeway decided to use the Hirogen's hunting skill for their benefit and had the best tactic to deal with the Hirogen while Voyager was in no condition for a firefight.
And despite limping all the way while tailing the Hirogen ships, in the end Voyager fought against two Hirogen ships and won.
