Week 6 - Vintage Black & White

Didn’t know it would be this useful to have an old radio standing in my room :D For this photo I used an old M42 lens on my DSLR and the highest ISO possible to get the look of an old photograph. For editing, I increased the sharpness and made the B&W in a really warm tone plus edited those dark corners in

Cool trick to use high ISO to simulate grain @colourfulena!  Love everything about this image - the subject, the composition, the toned monochrome edit.  Very cool shot!

11 Questions

@jasonlowder-project tagged me to answer 11 questions. I also have to write 11 new questions myself.  1. Is there anything interesting about you that most people don’t know?

I believe most people who know me from tumblr don’t know that I like to write songs. I haven’t put anything online yet but if I ever will I’ll let you know! :)

2. Of the places you have visited in this world, what is your favorite?  Banff national park in Canada was one of the most beautiful places I ever visited. I was there not even a year ago so it’s relatively fresh in my mind and at the moment my favourite place.

3. What is the last song you listened to?

Octavarium - Dream Theater

4. Name 4 things you like about yourself.

I am creative I am able to really enjoy nature and music, I feel like some people just don’t care about those things but I’m glad I do I tend to make friends with weird people I am bad at listing things I like about myself 5. Did you ever play a sport/sports? And if so, then what sport/sports did you play? 

When I was about 7 years old I was in a soccer team for 2 years and then I quit because I hated to get up on Saturday mornings for the matches. Then I joined an athletics club because I liked long jump but after two years I got bored so I quit that too. When I was 11 I got inspired by the soccer world championship so I joined a soccer team again which I left after a year because I still hated matches. Finally I started skateboarding for about four years which was by far the most fun, though my friends all quit or moved away and I eventually stopped doing it.

6. What was your best/favorite subject in school?

My best subject was English and my favourite was biology, that’s why I’m studying it now. :) 

7. If you were a pirate, what would the name of your ship be? 

Depends on which one I steal! ;)

8. What’s the spiciest thing you’ve ever eaten? And would you eat it again? 

Well my mom once bought some kind of pepper for a dish but decided not to use It because it would make the dish too spicy. So I got curious and cut off a tiny bit of the pepper and ate it. I thought that it was really not that spicy. Then I guess I believed it would be a good Idea to eat the whole rest of the pepper in one go. I chewed on it for a few seconds when it suddenly started burning like crazy. After 15 minutes of fire in my mouth I decided not to eat any of those peppers ever again. Also, don’t eat raw onions.

9. If you were going to be turned into an animal for the rest of your life which animal would you choose to be?

I would choose to be a cat so that I can sleep all day without worrying about anything. I could be as lazy as I want, people would still adore me. :)

10. If we could only keep two seasons each year and get rid of the other two, which two would you want to keep? 

Autumn and spring because I love how the leaves change colour in the autumn and how everything grows and comes to life in the spring. 

11. Would you rather explore the depths of the ocean or outer space? 

If we had the right technology I would definitely choose outer space but in my lifetime I think I’ll stick to the depths of the ocean. 

Now I have to create 11 questions myself to keep this challenge going. Hey :) So in case your wondering, I changed my URL from justanotheraddictedgirl to screamingcolours, cause this name is so much better. When I created this blog I didn't think about my name for a long time cause it was only created so that I could reblog stuff I did not want to have on my main account...

But now that I more or less dedicated this blog to Taylor Swift the new name is much better. Also it fits me much better, cause I'm born on december 13th and I really like colours (and Taylor Swift obviously :D) and my main blog is @colourfulena which fits now much together :) so sorry for confusion and I hope you like my new URL more than my old cause I do :)
