1/19/2018âŚFinal winter sunset Iâll see from my childhood home. Dad built extra windows on the western exposure of the house, so that Mom could watch these sunsets from both the kitchen and the family room.
Sounds like there have been some life changes @maxfitsocal. We are honored that you chose to share one of these memories with us. This is a beautiful imageâŚfrom the wonderfully detailed corn stalks in the foreground to the silhouetted tree lineâŚto the soft rolling hills on the horizon and lovely golden hour lighting.   Â

Week 52: Artistic - Sunrise/Sunset
Sunrise on the final day of 2017. F%#$ing cold outside. I know this picture isnât really very remarkable but it took a ton of effort to get it, and it was absolutely breathtaking in person. I only wish it was warmer so I could have stayed awhile to enjoy the beauty of it. Nikon D7500 ⢠Sigma 10-20mm lens 10mm ⢠ISO 200 ⢠f/5 ⢠1/125 sec ⢠Assist by Lightroom
Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into this blog, and thank you to the other people who submit for constantly inspiring. Happy New Year to all of you, my cyber friends!
This is beautiful @mrspage, the mistiness in the background, the pink hue on the horizon, the ragged trees and the blanket of snow on the ground. Itâs got everything! I love it!-Mojo.

We had a smattering of snow the other day and as my sunrises and sunsets have been pretty boring this week, Iâve ended up going with this one. I hope everybody has enjoyed @photochallenge2017, I know that I have, looking forward to seeing everybody again with @photochallenge2018. Happy new year everybody. :) @mojomojomojomojoÂ

Sunrise spilling through the front doorâŚgoodbye 2017, thanks for the memories. @cmerebaby
Very cool take on our theme this week @cmerebaby! Nothing like nice, warm golden hour light to make any scene pop!

Week 52: Artistic Sunset | @theshyxibitionista
Did not intend to participate in this weekâs challenge (silly, I know), but spied some pretty colors outside our living room window as the day turned to dusk. Didnât have time to use the DSLR, so went with my Samsung S7 phone camera. I wanted some bokeh from the sunset, so I grabbed on ornament from the Xmas tree and focused on it in the foreground of my shot. Some edits in Lightroom for clarity and contrast.Â
Iâll just leave this one here as it speaks for itself. Thanks @theshyxibitionista!

Week 52: Artistic Sunset
This was a beauty caught from a parking lot 12.29.17
I think there is just about every color in the rainbow here @thechesterfield. Very nice use of the rule of thirds to place the silhouetted trees and colored sky. Beautiful shot!

IPhone6 f/2.2 ISO32 1/126s No edits
This sunset is nothing exciting ⌠but it marks a very significant day for our family. On Wednesday the sun set for the first time without my dad⌠(sorry to end on such a downer) RIP dad! Love you forever.
Hi @retrokarrots, so sorry to hear about your loss, it is something that is impossible to prepare for in my experience, nevertheless we have to carry on, if not for ourselves but for our loved ones and your photo serves as a beautiful tribute to your dad-Mojo. xo

Sun setting over the old coop. It doesnât have chickens in it anymore, but it still has a nice view. :) -Spores&More
Hi @sporesmore, love the sun sparkling through the trees and shining on the coop, also love the frame within a frame youâve created with your shot. Cool-Mojo.

Week 52: Artistic Sunrise/Sunset
Our last week and Iâm totally bailing on the challenge. Â Why, because itâs like minus a kazillion during these times and I. AM. a wimpy Canadian.
But, I did manage to capture a sundog about 15 mins ago! Â We only see these when itâs minus a kazillion, low sun in the horizon and an abundance of ice crystals in the air. Â Sounds nice eh!
Light enhancements etc. performed in Lightroom CC
Hi @bmrider69, minus a kazillion? Is that Celsius or Fahrenheit? ;) Love your photo, the sun sparkling through the varying treetops and that blue blue sky. Beautiful!-Mojo.

Sunset over the Rhine Graben from Thomas-HĂźtte at Mount Kandel
I think on this one I did a good job framing with 3 diffrent kinds of leaves on 3 sides. But on the downside, I have some bright reflections of the rivers in the dark landscape.
What a grand view @blackforestnature! The tree branches used to frame this image appear to be at different distances from the lens. This results in an almost three dimensional appearance to this image. Fabulous contrast and color too. Just a beautiful shot.

Week 52 - Artistic - Sunrise Shot with Galaxy S5 Edit in SnapSeed https://naturelvr69.tumblr.com ⢠My Morning ⢠Last PhotoChallenge of 2017 w0w! I had a blast on this challenge. :) The weather was a chilly -7 °F, on the Mississippi River. I silently watched the birds of prey hunt for breakfast and waited for THIS đ Thank you as always @photochallenge2017! Looking forward to @photochallenge2018! I would have missed this if it wasnât for you Much Love & Cheers to 2017 ~đâ
The mighty mississip, the old man...deep river!Â
What a fantastic shot as usual @naturelvr69! A few things to point out that were done really well here: The horizon line is exactly horizontal. Sometimes this is easy to overlook.  You included foreground interest (the rocks) which adds depth. Finally, not sure if you edited the exposure in post processing or not but you managed to capture plenty of detail in the shadows as well as the highlights from the sunrise. Very nicely done!
