Scream Factory has announced three IFC Midnight titles coming to Blu-ray and DVD on August 7: Pyewacket, Lowlife, and Wildling. Special features have not yet been announced.
Pyewacket is an occult horror film written and directed by Adam MacDonald (Backcountry). Laurie Holden (The Walking Dead) and Nicole Muñoz (Defiance) star. Watch the trailer here.
Lowlife is a Pulp Fiction-esque movie directed by Ryan Prows. Nicki Micheaux, Ricardo Adam Zarate, Jon Oswald, Shaye Ogbonna, Santana Dempsey, and Mark Burnham star. Watch the trailer here.
Wildling is a dark fantasy directed by Fritz Böhm. Bel Powley, Brad Dourif, Collin Kelly-Sordelet, James Le Gros, and Liv Tyler star. Watch the trailer here.
Pyewacket:
In this ultra-unsettling occult nightmare, teenage Leah (Nicole Muñoz) finds solace from the recent death of her father—and from her strained relationship with her mother (Laurie Holden)—by dabbling in the dark arts. It all seems like harmless fun at first, until a blow out argument leads Leah to do the unthinkable: put a death curse on her mother. No sooner has the girl performed the ritual than she regrets it. But it may be too late, as an evil presence known as Pyewacket begins to make itself known—and threatens to destroy both mother and daughter.
Lowlife:
What happens when you throw together a fallen Mexican wrestler with serious rage issues, a just-out-of-prison ex-con with a regrettable face tattoo, and a recovering junkie motel owner in search of a kidney? That’s the premise of the berserk, blood-spattered, and wickedly entertaining feature debut from Ryan Prows. Set amidst the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles, Lowlife zigzags back and forth in time as it charts how fate—and a ruthless crime boss—connects three down-and-out reprobates mixed up in an organ harvesting scheme that goes from bad to worse to off-the-rails insane. Careening from savagely funny to just plain savage to unexpectedly heartfelt, this audacious thriller serves up nonstop adrenaline alongside hard-hitting commentary about the state of contemporary America.
Wildling:
Wildling is a dark fantasy tale centered on young Anna (Bel Powley) who spends her entire childhood in a single room under the care of a mysterious man she only knows as “Daddy” (Brad Dourif). He makes her fear the “outside” by telling her of the “Wildling.” At age 16, Anna is freed by small-town sheriff Ellen Cooper (Liv Tyler) with whom she finds a temporary home. For the first time in her life, Anna experiences the Outside, soon learning there’s no such thing as the Wildling. But as she begins to flourish as a young woman, a series of unsettling events unfolds…

The Ferryman, a feast of Irish storytelling in a breathtaking mix of genres, opened on Broadway seven months ago, and since then it’s gotten nine Tony nominations, best play awards from the New York Drama Critics Circle, the Outer Critics Circle, AND the Drama League…and an almost entirely new cast, the original British and Irish actors replaced by Americans. Even Laura Donnelly has been replaced. She is the Belfast-born actress whose uncle’s disappearance, and reappearance years later as a corpse, inspired playwright Jez Butterworth to write the play in the first place. The character she portrayed, Caitlin Carney, is now performed by Holley Fain, an actress born in Kansas.
…Does this matter? It might in one way to those of us who saw the original cast. But to those theatergoers who have not yet had the pleasure of experiencing The Ferryman, and have only until July 7thto do so, the play remains rich, sweeping entertainment — epic, tragic….and cinematic.

Wilding 2018
Wildling is a 2018 American horror-fantasy film directed by Fritz Böhm starring Bel Powley, Brad Dourif, Collin Kelly-Sordelet, James LeGros, and Liv Tyler. The screenplay was co-written by Böhm and Florian Eder. The plot follows Anna, a blossoming teenager who uncovers the dark secret behind her traumatic childhood. The film premiered at South by Southwest on March 10, 2018 and has received favorable reviews. It was released in the United States in select theaters and on video on demand on April 13, 2018, by IFC Films under their IFC Midnight brand. Anna (Bel Powley) has spent most of her life in the care of a mysterious man she refers to as "Daddy" (Brad Dourif) who keeps her locked in his attic out of fear of a child-eating monster called the Wildling that roams the woods. When Anna reaches puberty, 'Daddy' starts giving her injections in her stomach to treat her 'illness'. By the time Anna is 16, her severe side effects prompt 'Daddy' to attempt suicide by shooting himself in the head. Anna is rescued by Sheriff Ellen Cooper (Liv Tyler). She helps Anna start her new life as a normal teenager, eventually taking her home where Anna meets Ellen's younger brother Ray (Collin Kelly-Sordelet). Anna's body starts to develop, having been retarded by the injections, and her childhood nightmares return. One day, she begins chasing a deer through the forest, but is stopped from hitting a tripwire by a one-eyed man wearing a wolf-skin (James LeGros). Ellen reveals to Anna that the hospital ran a DNA test and 'Daddy' is not her biological father. He remains in a coma in the local hospital, the right side of his face disfigured by the shot. As Anna spends time in the school library, she finds pictures of the Northern Lights in a science book and feels a strong pull. The Northern lights come alive on the pages of the book. She also realizes her senses are particularly acute, allowing her to hear other girls talking about her and calling her 'retarded'. Later, when she encourages Ray to go to a party with her, she kisses him, but is shocked when her mouth starts to bleed, prompting her to run off into the woods. When Lawrence, a local bully, follows her, Anna instinctively tears his throat out with her teeth. She flees the scene and, deep in the woods, comes open her old house.
