so um. back with another heart-punching college trio headcanon. i would apologize but this is prolly gonna happen again

the Fentons somehow got grants for serious ecto-research. those grants, Maternal Instinct implied, picked up after several years of having enough time to take their kids on camping trips and the like. the GiW exist prior to them building the Amity Park portal and are an established organization with weapons that are effective. so. what, exactly, happened that may have convinced the federal government ghosts were real and needed addressing? or, for that matter, giving them enough research material to have weapons developed before the big portal got switched on?

... how long did Vlad say he was in the hospital after the portal accident again?

This the closest we have to confirming what was the true nature of the relationship between Vlad and Jack and Maddie, so i'll take it

Edit: I see that some people keep missing that point of this post isn't about what the show has implied. It is about how the series explores Vlad, Jack and Maddie's relationship so little that ends up being a bit too ambiguous for the viewer to get a concrete idea of it and that you have to rely in an old magazine to know what the true writers' intentions behind them were.
