you mentioned in a past ask that you recommended the show cold case: shinjitsu no tobira. if you don’t mind me asking, where/what site did you watch it on? i loved the american version of the show and didn’t know they made a japanese version until i stumbled upon your ask. i did a quick google search and most sites with the episodes available for view seem pretty sketchy and i really don’t want to get a virus on any of my devices, so i wasn’t sure if you had seen it on a safer site.
think i probably just watched s1 on dramacool and then downloaded the other 2 seasons while they were airing... honestly sketchy streaming sites are fine as long as you've got your trusty ublock origin. i've been using asiaflix.net for jdramas recently and it works alright.
but also looking at nyaa and there is in fact a batch torrent for all 3 seasons of cold case with an entire 1 (one) seed! so that might be worth trying. and if you've got a drama-otaku account they offer DDL for a lot of shows including cold case it looks like.

So, I just started watching Cold Case: Shinjitsu no Tobira S3. I'm at episode 2 now.
Why are the episodes so difficult to watch? My heart. TT^TT
It's sadder because you know these things happen to real people... Seriously, I have no words for what some people are capable of.

Cold Case vs Cold Case Shinjitsu No Tobira/Cold Case Door of Truth
Even though the Japanese version of Cold Case is a shot-for-shot remake of the American show, there are still a lot of differences between the two.
Cold Case s2ep11 “Blank Generation” vs Cold Case s1ep1 “Confined Voice”

The Japanese version mixes in elements of the s1 episode “Fly away” in with its version.
The main difference between Yuri Ishikawa and Lily Rush is their personalites. Yuri is more reserved and professional while Lily is a bit more laid back and open with her emotions. I like this difference. It makes both Yuri and Lily feel like similar, yet still rather different people. It makes them feel real.

Films/TV forecast
Completed in January
Films watched (at theatre): Never Ending Man: Hayao Miyazaki, Mirai no Mirai
American TV shows: Homecoming
K-drama: children of Nobody, Less than Evil
J-drama: Cold Case Shinjitsu  no Tobira 2
Western Tv shows and asian dramas were started in december, so i’m not really spending more time watching TV.
To watch in february
However, i did a real comeback to theatre thanks to my local indie cinemas which made a fantastic program of all the best recent asian releases!
I’ve seen an Elephant sitting still (and might come back to watch it again), i intend too to watch next week Asako I&II, Shoplifters, The Castle of Cagliostro (an exceptional 1st release at theatre 40 years after Japan).
And maybe if i’m in the mood: Long Day's Journey into Night but though i’m attracted by the subject, i hate the idea of a 3D film.

could you recommend some dramas that you were addicted to and just were surprisingly very good! I want something that will transfix me, without making me pause at all !
I remember enjoying these dramas a lot: - Tonbi. It was better than I expected it to be. One of my ultimate faves. - Hero. A delightful watch with wonderful cast and brilliant writing. - Kanojotachi no Jidai. 90s drama about struggling youths. Loved Fukatsu Eri's character and the female friendship. - Cold Case: Shinjitsu no Tobira. Season 1 is my fave out of the three. - Tokyo Alice. Binged it in a day and really liked it although some parts weren't as good as they could've been.
