Les Liaisons Dangereuses (American)
English Title: Les Liaisons Dangereuses
Designer: Mozelle Thompson
Actor / Director: Jeanne Moreau, Gerard Philipe, Annette Stroyberg, Dir. Roger Vadim
Film Studio: Les Films Marceau-Cocinor
1959 film based on the novel by: Choderlos de Laclos - This wonderful artwork was done by Mozelle Thompson (1926-1969) who was a prolific African American artist illustrating album covers. Mozelle created at least 120 album covers. He was a pioneer in his industry, working alongside the first-generation artists who contributed to the history of album cover art within the first 15 years of its existence. Like Andy Warhol, Thompson was a student of Joseph Fitzpatrick in the Tam O’Shanter Pallete Saturday classes at the Carnegie Institute.
