Reichsburg Cochem,  Cochem, Germany: The Reichsburg Cochem, literally "Imperial Castle of Cochem", is a German castle built on a hill that dominates the Moselle valley in Cochem, Rhineland-Palatinate, by a hundred meters. The Reichsburg Cochem was probably built around the year 1000. Successively the seat of the Counts Palatine, the imperial residence of the Hohenstaufen dynasty, it became the property of the Prince-Electors and the Archbishops of Trier.
