if i was redoing the flash season 9 i'd first delete seasons 5-8 and put season 9 there. then i'd have the cobalt blue plotline last the entire 13 episodes. have it be a slow burn with eddie returning and the show seemingly going back to a villain of the week format while sewing seeds of eddie's discomfort with seeing barry "take his life" until the last few episodes when the cobalt blue chain lightning thing starts ramping up. i would also play more into the "flash legacy" angle like the chain lightning comics actually do, instead of just naming new speedsters at the end of the finale.

it's seriously so annoying how well eddie works as cobalt blue in the context of the show and how badly they messed up the execution.

the delete seasons 5-8 bit was a joke. i think it would hit harder if eddie coming back happened way sooner, but i also think this story works best as a full series finale so idk how i'd place it.
