aight
medium cheddar: extremely hit or miss. my favorite brand is tillamook and im not biased about it. great to just munch on though, it's not really a cheese that wants or needs anything else. good base ingredient for like a grilled cheese. perfectly average 6/10.
sharp cheddar: i love extra sharp cheddar i love you looong aged white sharp cheddar FANTASTIC snack and best with some sweet apples or something. Needs a cracker or bread or some sweeter snack on the side. coastal cheddar from costco is good but can be a bit too sharp with lots of crystallization. 9/10.
mozzarella: ok i dont like tillamook for this one. too dry. mozzarella is really not a cheese i like to eat by itself, i'm not a cheese stick fan and i really dislike the texture of wet mozzarella balls, but when it's good melted ON stuff it's good on stuff. 7/10 grilled pizza cheese pull
pepperjack: this is THEEEE cheese to grate for a recipe and sneak like 20 bites of the grated cheese. little pepper bits in there. I don't enjoy eating slices of it though. 7/10
parmesan: you cant go wrong with a little parma jawn............. best as a little accent on top of stuff. just makes whatever you're cooking a lil tastier. Not my favorite when the whole thing tastes of just parmesan though, it's kinda bitey. 8/10
cottage cheese: i cant stand cottage cheese. The texture is nasty and the combo of the texture with the flavor is nastier. 1/10
gruyere: french. INCREDIBLE on potatoes and in fondue and in little bits to snack on. Not an eating by itself cheese often but it doesnt have to be. I'd eat this grated on top of kinda anything savory. 9/10
gouda: i get this mixed up with gruyere all the time, but gouda is a bit harder and sweeter. a good salami cheese for your charcuterie. you see smoked gouda a lot which if thats YOUR deal thats cool but i dislike the taste of smoked things. 7/10
blue cheese: really really good cheese that is stymied by not going with a lot of stuff and not being super good to just eat on its own. it's a SHARP taste that gets in your nose. gorgonzola specifically is so good with pears and arugula except I'm mildly allergic to pears. BEST with steak gimme dat blue cheese butter STEAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! would be 9/10 if it were not so particular. 7/10.
feta: bit of a weird texture but it makes salads and gyros ROCK so. it gets a pass. not that fancy on its own but i really do like it in a salad. 6/10.
cream cheese: YEAAAAHHHHH BAGELLLLSSSS 9/10 i love bagels. also makes other dishes creamy (best part of cheese)
manchego: best with salami. not that impressive on its own, but that's because it's a harder cheese you eat with salami. 5/10, elevates meat but the meat does not elevate it
brie: somehow airplane brie is better than normal brie??? i don't eat this cheese unless it's on an airplane meal fr. which means i hardly ever eat brie. kinda weird tasting. 4/10
camembert: miraculous ladybug hyped me up for this cheese and i bought some and must have done it wrong or something because it doesn't smell and hardly tasted different from brie. I want to try it again so bad because gooey cheeses are like drool-worthy to me. hesitant 3/10 for being a disappointment
asiago: yknow an asiago bread is pretty good but ive never had asiago cheese on its own! 6/10? umami
cotija: BIG FAN of cotija. pile that stuff on my tacos thank you. i dont have the same problems as i do with feta maybe because you grate or crumble cotija real small in comparison? havent had it on anything but a taco though. 8/10
goat cheese: also a big fan of goat cheese. you can fry it and its good, and you can put it in pasta and its good, you can eat it with crackers and it's good... not really good with meat, but it's sharper so that makes sense to me. 8/10 again
swiss cheese: i never really liked swiss cheese. unless its on my sandwich. OR! unless it's like specifically emmentaler and it's in my fondue. 4/10
provolone: SAME goes for provo LONE. makes french dip really good though, and is one of the classic salami cheeses. this is because it needs salt. 5/10 better than swiss
edam: this is babybel cheese, right? it's fine. good for snacking not for eating a lot of. 7/10
colby jack: this is literally cheddar but not. id rather have cheddar 5/10
ricotta: controversially, i love ricotta... it doesnt have a lot of flavor which makes eating it by itself unpleasant. HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!! in lasagne..? on top of sourdough with salt and garlic? in a kolache with jam?? i lvoe ricotta. i wish it didn't go bad so fast. or maybe it came in smaller packages. 8/10
american cheese: the only place this thing shines is ON BURGER. where it SHOULD BE, KIND OF ALWAYS. or on a bacon egg and cheese. those are the two places you always want american. situationally 8/10 but usually 4/10 i dont want it anywhere else
muenster: the best part of eating muenster cheese is eating the little slice that always seems to come off the edge when you take it out the package. otherwise it's a perfectly serviceable mild cheese, melts well, 6/10.
pecorino romano: like, parmesan's sharper saltier more fashion-forward cousin. use this in moderation imo it really has a Big Taste to it, but it makes carbonara nummy, 7/10
paneer: i have not HAD... paneer... but it LOOKS like it would be tasty. withholding judgement.
gournay: i love those little boursin rounds you can just get at the store with the garlic and herbs. soft, savory, good on crackers 9/10
infused flavor cheeses: these are usually fresh cows milk cheeses that have like some kinda flavor or spice on them or rolled into them. All depends on the flavoring. The base cheese itself is usually real mild and creamy though, and I have good experiences with it! Also goes bad a bit fast though. Variable/10
theres other cheeses out there but i just realized ive been talking about cheese for a LOOONG TIIIMMMEEE. i like cheese though. big fan of it. if u think of some other cheese you really want an opinion on i will readily tell you

Important Auradon Prep dining hall facts from the Villain Kid’s book for new VKs
The school has an ice cream sundae bar the last Friday of every month.
Mal is a mint chip ice cream lover (this is very important to me personally, mint chip ice cream is delicious and doesn’t deserve any of the hate it gets, much like Mal herself…)
The school does Sunday brunch. As someone who went to a relatively fancy college that also did weekend brunch meals, this is somewhat confusing and distressing the first weekend when you go down at your expected breakfast hour and find NO food out yet.
Bunch doesn’t start until noon….the VKs definitely learned this the hard way.
Evie likes eggs Florentine- as well as everything else on the brunch list, which is delicious carbs. #leteviehavebread2k23
Auradon Prep has pasta mondays…..every week? Once a month? No clear timeline on this one, but after working in a bunch of different real-life dining hall kitchens, I know that it’s nice to have a set meal rotation, so pasta every Monday probably makes sense for a high school.
Another important note here is that pasta night is ~fancy~ and they put out white tablecloths and dim the lights. Weird choice for a high school dining hall, but I guess when your student body is unimaginably rich and also likely confined to campus during the school term, you’ve got to make your own date opportunities.
Side note: is there an Auradon Prep hierarchy of “good” date nights? Is being asked out to Monday pasta night like a basic, everyday-tier date? The enchanted lake is clearly where students go to have a romantic picnic and then hook up, but what other common school dates are there? Is brunch appropriately romantic? Does the dining hall let anyone request a picnic, or is that reserved for actual royalty? Many questions here.
The funniest thing so far in the dining hall section of this book is the sample menu they have- WHO is feeding high school students escargot? Mussels? I guess they’re coastal enough to have fresh mussels on a somewhat regular basis because we do see them on a boat in D2…and like, they’re in relatively close proximity to the isle, which is In The Ocean, so I guess that part makes sense. But printed menus every night??
In my heart the printed menus are a sort of once-a-week special occasion thing. Maybe once a week they have fancy dinners where they’re all expected to eat nicely with the teachers, or with whatever visiting royal family is there to see their kids, or just to practice proper formal dinner etiquette.
The Auradon Prep dining hall serves grill cheese with tomato slices in the middle. Jay is apparently a big fan of this. I’m only sad about this one because I have a scene 90% written where the dining hall is serving grilled cheese and tomato soup, and now for ~canon accuracy~ I’m going to have to edit that.

De Salses a Guardamar i de Fraga a l’Alguer: les comarques de parla catalana una a una. 63/88: l’Horta Sud (València, Valencian Country).
Horta Sud (“South Orchard”) is one of the four parts in which the historical Horta de València area is divided nowadays.
Located in the Albufera de València Natural park, its landscape is marked by the Albufera coastal lagoon, its fields -most famously, its rice fields-, and the ditches that irrigate the fields in a system inherited from the Islamic period.
Product of this landscape, the Horta de València is known for its delicious food. In this photoset I’ve included a photo of the making of a paella, a dish consisting of rice with green beans, peas, rabbit and/or chicken meat and snails cooked in broth and seasoned with saffron.
Besides the now world-famous paella, the rich gastronomy of Horta has much more to offer, including but not limited to all i pebre (a soup with eel, potatoes, and grilled green vegetables), esgarrat (a cold dish of smoke-grilled bell peppers with olive oil, garlic, and pieces of salted cod), coca de mullador (savoury flatbread topped with smoke-grilled bell peppers, aubergine and onion) or with chards or tomato, or coca de llauna (a type of brioche), among others. The area also grows lemons, oranges, melons, green vegetables, and fishes eels in the lagoon and cod in the sea.

Fiddlehead is rife with history and local culture - where will you live?
What neighborhood your character lives is important, and each character will choose their neighborhood of residence as part of creating their profile. This informs who their neighbors are, who they might see on a daily basis, and what they encounter as they traverse the Fiddlehead scene.
ALDER’S GARDEN
The historic residential district of Fiddlehead is home to several beautiful Queen Anne style townhouses, with larger homes of the same styling capping each street with lush gardens. Homes are large, unique, beautiful, and expensive — just don’t expect to get air conditioning. The laws surrounding the historical buildings don’t allow for much in the way of modern amenities, but for those who care for these old homes, the charm of their history is worth it.
Home to: Platypus Cafe and Bookstore, The Pelican Theatre, The Manor (Vampire Haven)
SEACLIFF
The cliffsides along the Oregon Coast are sheer and rocky, but they make for incredible views. Homes in Seacliff are generally new construction, as building along the unstable cliffsides often resulted in landslides and the loss of the house itself until foundational engineering became available. The waterfront property comes with a high price tag, but incredible sunsets and the soothing lull of waves — if you don’t mind the barking of sealions nearby Otter's Gulch, of course.
Home to: Bay Street Shopping District, The Poseidon Hotel
EVERGREEN POINT
Nestled right up against the edge of Heartwood National Park, this district is home to several single-family homes perfect for all walks of life, from newlyweds just starting out to retirees looking for a place to host the grandkids. With a strong sense of community and civic spirit, this is the kind of place where everyone knows the neighbors. And likely their neighbor’s business, too.
Home to: Anchor Brewers, The Orchard (Werewolf Haven)
ASHLEIGH PARK
This neighborhood is primarily the many apartments, condos, townhouses and duplexes designed for those passing through to attend Ashleigh University, but it is also home to many of the faculty and staff that work there and other young people just getting their start on their own. While it looks like a patchwork quilt of architectural styles with buildings developed separately over the course of several years, it has benefited from the creativity of the students that call it home for the majority of the year. Murals and statues spring up with regularity, and flowerbeds and community gardens spring up from even the tiniest slivers of unused land between structures.
Home to: Ashleigh University, The Community Center
OTTER’S GULCH
While there are no truly dangerous parts of Fiddlehead, Otter’s Gulch is considered one of the less desirable places to live in the area. A collection of salt-crusted and ill-maintained properties and apartment buildings that change hands often, occupants are accustomed to fixing leaky rooves and cracked windows themselves if they want it done. If you have something to hide, this is the place to do so. People in Otter’s Gulch mind their own business, and expect their neighbors to do the same.
Home to: Goodlife Bar & Grille, Murdock General Hospital
FIDDLEHEAD ENVIRONS
The Northern side of Fiddlehead is dominated by the national park, and the Southern side is predominantly farms, ranches, orchards, and vineyards. Within these outskirt zones, many make their livelihoods working the land or protecting the forests. Country homes, log cabins, and everything in between provide Fiddleheaders who live a little further out with plenty of options to get away from the hustle and bustle of town.
Home to: Hart Dairy Farm, Beacon Vineyard, Aiguille State Park, Swallow Harbor Lighthouse, Devil's Needle
HEARTWOOD NATIONAL PARK
High above the bracken fiddlehead fern-dappled undergrowth towers an old-growth forest of the tallest trees on earth, coastal redwoods, which enjoy the rolling mist each morning from the harbor and shelter the national park under a canopy of deep evergreen.
Home to: Fern Lake, Widower Falls, Greene Cabin (Witch Haven)

Street food culture is very prominent, from dumplings to gourmet burgers offering a contemporary twist on local flavors.
ೃ⁀➷Haiqin Street Tacos (Fusion Tacos):

These dumplings are steamed, pan-fried, or served with a tangy dipping sauce made from tomato, garlic, and sesame.
ೃ⁀➷Gourmet Fusion Burgers:
Stellis is known for its street food culture, and the gourmet burger is a symbol of innovation. Here, American-style burgers are elevated with local ingredients like Haiqin spices, pickled vegetables, and smoked fish. Some ice cream parlors even use liquid nitrogen to create an icy, creamy texture that’s as much a visual spectacle as it is a treat.
ೃ⁀➷Stellis Street Wraps:
Street food is a huge part of Stellis’ culture, and these wraps are a combination of American wraps, Mediterranean ingredients, and Haiqin spices. The wraps are filled with grilled chicken, lamb, or tofu, fresh vegetables like tomatoes, lettuce, and olives, and drizzled with Haiqin-style chili sauce or tahini. Stellis is the epitome of modernity, with towering skyscrapers that define its skyline. The buildings are crafted from steel and glass, symbolizing the city’s technological advancements. These structures are not just functional but also serve as canvases for digital art and interactive installations. Iconic buildings like the Stellis Innovation Tower are designed with sleek, aerodynamic curves, often incorporating green technologies such as solar panels and wind turbines to reduce environmental impact.
ೃ⁀➷Housing:
Stellis offers a range of housing options, from luxury penthouses in high-rise buildings to smart homes equipped with the latest technology. In affluent districts, homes are equipped with automated systems for security, energy management, and even personalized climate control. In contrast, lower-income neighborhoods feature compact, efficient apartments that prioritize functionality over luxury.
ೃ⁀➷Public Spaces:
Public spaces in Stellis are highly interactive, with digital art installations and augmented reality displays scattered throughout the city. The central square, often used for events like the Stellis Innovations Festival, is a hub of activity, with large outdoor screens displaying tech demonstrations and performances. Parks like Tech Garden combine green space with tech expos, where new gadgets and inventions are showcased to the public.
ೃ⁀➷Transportation:
Stellis boasts an advanced public transport system. Maglev trains, which glide above the tracks using magnetic levitation, provide fast and efficient travel across the city. Electric buses run along eco-friendly routes, and pedestrian-friendly pathways are designed to encourage walking and cycling. Skybridges connect the towering skyscrapers, allowing residents to traverse the city without descending to street level. This also helps reduce traffic congestion in the densely packed urban areas.
.ೃ࿐Technology and Innovation
*ೃ༄The Technology
As a global hub for tech startups and research, Stellis is a magnet for innovation, with various incubators and venture capital firms fostering the next generation of tech entrepreneurs. In addition to its reputation for tech and finance, Stellis’ focus on green energy could potentially lead to research into sustainable urban living, smart city technologies, or even eco-friendly architecture.

ೃ⁀➷AI Integration in Daily Life:
Stellis might have the highest concentration of AI research labs, leading to smart homes, automated personal assistants, and highly efficient public services.

ೃ⁀➷Augmented Reality (AR):
AR could be integrated into many aspects of daily life—whether it’s in retail, tourism, or education. In Stellis, your favorite cafe might have a virtual art gallery attached to it, and AR headsets could be used to navigate the streets or museums.
*ೃ༄Educational and Social Institutions
ೃ⁀➷Veltrius Lumos Academy stands as a prestigious educational institution, possibly offering degrees in subjects like robotics, artificial intelligence, digital arts, and green technologies. ABOUT ME
About me💃🏼 Hi, my name is Leslie and I identify as a broken Sims patch update \(ツ)/ I mean well and do my best, but sometimes I'm glitchy. But hopefully, my builds never will be!
Base Game only? Nope! 🏡 I own almost every Sims 4 expansion pack, game pack, stuff pack, and kit - and I intend to use them! That's not to say I'll never have builds that are base game only, but if that's what you're in search of, I'm probably not the right creator for you.
Custom content🎨 I also own a decent amount of custom content from amazing creators who make Build/Buy and CAS items - and I intend to use those, too! I will always provide a list of the custom content used in each build in the description of each release. I don't make my own custom content at the moment (but never say never).
Playtesting ▶️ I'll never roll out a build that hasn't been playtested. I'm not about builds for the sake of aesthetics - I want them to work! And if for some weird reason I do release without playtesting, I'ma call that out in the release post.
Download this lot on my Patreon for free!

Released as part of Wes Anderson's "Asteroid City", Dogfish Head Craft Brewery releases "Asteroid City Lager"

Press Release
MILTON, Del. (May 30, 2023) – Dogfish Head Craft Brewery proudly introduces Asteroid City Lager, a crisp and nifty lager brewed in celebration of “Asteroid City,” a new film by Wes Anderson. “Asteroid City” takes place in a fictional American desert town circa 1955, when the itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.
Inspired by the movie’s compelling and unique design aesthetic, Asteroid City Lager shares much more than a title with its namesake film. Just as “Asteroid City” is a rich and layered take on the typical science fiction flick, Asteroid City Lager provides a stratified, Earthy twist on a classic lager’s light and refreshing flavor profile.
Brewed with regeneratively grown pilsner malt, Tuxpeno corn malt and Zuper Saazer hops for subtle notes of savory corn and a whiff of wild blossoms and herbs, Asteroid City Lager was then finished with a mid-20th century Pennsylvania lager yeast as a nod to the 1950s era during which “Asteroid City” takes place. Not to mention, the beer’s label – developed in collaboration with Wes Anderson, himself – features artwork centered on one of the film’s most eye-catching images; essentially, it is a billboard advertisement for a billboard advertisement.
“The magical, whimsical worlds Wes Anderson has created in his movies have been touchstones for our off-centered brand throughout the years,” said Dogfish Head Brewer & Founder, Sam Calagione. “From the playful and colorful design of our canal-front hotel, the Dogfish INN, to the vibrant and refreshing vibes of this Asteroid City Lager beer, Wes’ work inspires us, and this collaborative beer is a liquid celebration of this new frontier Wes and the entire team behind ‘Asteroid City’ have created.”
Focus Features will release “Asteroid City” in limited theaters in New York City and Los Angeles on Friday, June 16, expanding nationwide on Friday, June 23.
Asteroid City Lager will be available to enjoy during “Asteroid City” screenings at select Alamo Drafthouse locations nationwide, including those in New York City, Austin and Denver. For the perfect pairing, guests can attend one of the cinema’s “Asteroid City” Chili Supper Screenings, where a custom, pre-set menu featuring chili, hotdogs, grilled cheese, themed popcorn and Asteroid City Lager will be served. Tickets for Alamo Drafthouse screenings of “Asteroid City” are on sale now at www.drafthouse.com/show/asteroid-city.
In addition to Alamo Drafthouse, Asteroid City Lager will be available for purchase both on draft and in 4pk/16oz cans at Dogfish Head’s coastal Delaware locations, as well as at other regional retailers, like Eataly NYC Flatiron.

This weather-beaten structure is the Ama divers’ headquarters in Mie Prefecture. Salt encrusted huts like these were once an integral part of working Ama life, where the all-female divers could rest and socialize between diving for shellfish, seaweed, and pearls. The earliest records date the practice of Ama freediving to as early as 927 AD. Today, there are still Ama in Japan, though not nearly as many as there used to be. Ama were once the lifeblood of coastal communities, but since being superseded by new finishing technologies, their tradition is on the verge of dying out. Traditionally, these free divers wore tell-tale white diving suits, which were thought to ward off sharks, although modern Ama use wetsuits. Impressively, Ama divers working today still forgo air tanks, diving to the bottom of the choppy ocean on a single breath alone. Although Ama divers usually start working as young as 13 or 14 years old, they often continue well beyond traditional retirement age. Their vitality is often attributed to the special training they undergo for free diving. The friendly staffers at the Hachiman Kamado hut are all in their advanced years, and they still wear uniforms of their forebears. The Ama Hut Hachiman Kamado is one of the last vestiges of this unique tradition. Central to its work is an outdoor seating area and an indoor eating area where visitors can hear tales of the divers’ experiences over charcoal-grilled seafood. Working Ama catch everything on the menu; other trinkets and souvenirs are also on sale to help preserve the vanishing Ama profession.

Ras Shetan: A haven for those seeking relaxation in Egypt

Ras Shaitan, nestled between Nuweiba and Taba in Egypt’s South Sinai, has recently emerged as a hidden gem for nature lovers and peace seekers. Once a little-known destination, it now attracts foreign travelers with its breathtaking desert landscapes and tranquil beach camps. This serene spot has become a frequent highlight of many Egypt Tours that showcase the country’s lesser-known beauty.
The Egyptian photographer Fares Herz recently documented his experience in Ras Shaitan, capturing the essence of its rustic charm. From his perspective, this region is among the most enchanting places to visit in Nuweiba. The area is dotted with simple Bedouin-style camps along the Gulf of Aqaba, where guests enjoy traditional dishes like freshly caught Red Sea fish and Bedouin-grilled chicken.
Situated between mountains, valleys, caves, and coral-rich waters, Ras Shaitan offers a striking view of marine biodiversity, including pufferfish, octopuses, moon groupers, and colorful sea anemones. These underwater marvels make it a favorite stop on several Egypt Tours Package options tailored to both adventure and relaxation.
According to Herz, the name "Ras Shaitan" originally derived from “Ras al-Shitan,” a reference to the area's geography—starting and ending at two different beaches. Due to the pronunciation difficulties among foreign visitors, the name morphed into “Ras Shaitan.” He also notes the incredible simplicity of the location, a true escape from the noise of urban life—what he describes as “God’s paradise on Earth.”
The remoteness of the area presented some challenges during his photo sessions. Herz would spend hours hiking between sites just to capture the perfect mountain silhouette at sunset or the mesmerizing night sky. Still, he believes the journey is worth it and recommends it for anyone needing solitude or a digital detox. Many travelers opt for Egypt Day Tours to this destination to enjoy its natural treasures in just one day.
One of the key attractions is the chance to stay in elevated huts overlooking the sea—ideal for watching the mountains meet the ocean in a breathtaking panorama. Prices are extremely affordable compared to other parts of South Sinai, and accommodations often open directly to the Red Sea, offering opportunities to swim, snorkel, and dive among coral reefs.
The soothing atmosphere and low costs make Ras Shaitan a recurring feature in many Egypt Classic Tours, attracting those who wish to experience Egypt's serene side. Herz’s photos received overwhelming praise online, motivating him to publish more images of Egypt’s "forgotten beauty."
Spring is an especially pleasant time to visit, and many Egypt Easter Tours include Ras Shaitan in their seasonal itineraries. The region’s warm days and cool nights provide ideal conditions for exploring both the coast and the inland deserts.
Even if you're just passing through Cairo, quick Egypt Day Tours from Cairo can be arranged to include highlights of South Sinai, giving visitors a taste of Ras Shaitan’s peace and natural beauty. Additionally, cruise passengers often explore this coastal haven through Egypt Shore Excursions designed for short yet immersive adventures.
Whether you're seeking relaxation, photography, diving, or cultural encounters, Ras Shaitan offers a timeless and authentic experience. It's a quiet world away from the chaos, making it a cherished stop on any journey through Egypt.
