South Park Music Headcanons

I am trying to figure out what kind of music everyone in SP would listen to for something so I wanted to get everyone’s opinions on it.

These are mine:

Stan- I’m going to be basic here and say he likes indie/alternative music and probably rock. I know that’s what a lot of people say but I feel like it’s true because it fits his personality. I think he listens to stuff like My Chemical Romance, Weathers (it’s a less common band but I swear they don’t have a SINGLE bad song and all their songs really fit Stan), Two Feet, Green Day, Sub Urban, Palaye Royale (definitely their earlier albums, I FREAKING LOVE THIS BAND), Arctic Monkeys, Mitski, Waterparks, FIDLAR, Younger Hunger (also a great lesser known band), BoyWithUke, Weezer, The Neighborhood, The Strokes. I have a lot of songs for Stan but I want to know if people agree.

Kyle- All I really have for him is Green Day and even then I'm not sure. I don’t know if he would like the songs Stan listens to or if he would hate them.

Kenny- He listens to pop songs like from The Weekend, Ariana Grande, Harry Styles and Maroon 5. Probably also bands like Panic! At The Disco, Imagine Dragons and Fall Out Boy. Maybe The Wrecks?? Maybe Queen?? OOH ADAM LAMBERT!! Also Maneskin. 

Cartman- He also listens to pop songs like Britney Spears and Lady Gaga (CANON!) but he also listens to rap songs (ALSO CANON!). I don’t like rap music that much but when I think of Cartman, I think of XXXTENTACION and Juice WRLD. Also Post Malone.

Craig - I have no idea. He probably also likes indie/alternative music but maybe not the same ones that Stan likes.

Tweek - Same thing, I have no idea. I like to think of him as a headbanger but then I think that loud rock music would make him anxious. But soft music doesn’t really fit him in my opinion. I have songs that I think match his personality but I’m not sure if he would actually like them or not.

Clyde - Clyde is the same as Kenny. He likes Ariana Grande, The Weekend, Harry Styles, Lil Nas X, … Also probably Olivia Rodrigo. He probably really likes boy bands like One Direction and The Backstreet Boys, also probably Justin Bieber. He probably wanted to be in a boyband with Craig, Token and Jimmy but they all said no lol

Token - I have no idea.

Jimmy - No idea. He probably likes Bo Burnham.

Butters - He likes soft music. He probably likes Cavetown. 

Wendy - I don’t know if she would like her but Penelope Scott??

Bebe - She’s the same as Kenny and Clyde. She likes pop music and boy bands. Maybe also country music. I don’t know much about country music but maybe Taylor Swift??

A very good villain pairing! Let these kids be horrible together... far from the characters we love, please! 🤣Honestly, they could either become the power couple you want to strangle with your two bare hands or very fun to follow/you are secretly kinda rooting for them because they work so well together and are cute in an ominous way? The two would be real partners in crime while caring sincerely about each other, like Bonnie & Clyde maybe?

Kagami/Zoé

To be honest, I've never really thought about this pairing before you ask! I don't see why not, Zoé being kinda similar to Marinette and given good development would be a very good match for Riposte like Kagami. The two would support each other as they go through their family drama, ready to run hand in hand if needed and fight side by side with Miraculous 😏 I realize this is a kinda sweeter and less sassy version minus the Miraculous of my Chlogami pairing I swear it wasn't on purpose

Chloé/Lila

Hmmm... it could work as a villain pairing, but not like Félix/Lila. I'm afraid this pairing would be more on the toxic side. Even if you push canon asides, I only see Lila being abusive towards Chloé (Chloé not being an innocent lamb, but still!). Chloé would have the illusion that she's the one in control/powerful of the two, but actually, Lila would be mostly using her for the money and taking advantage of her need for attention. Lila is definitely the brain out of the two, but unfortunately, they're not well balanced so Lila would never consider Chloé a true partner or equal, just a stepping stone with the benefit of a lover package.

Luka/Kagami

Meh. Never been a fan of it 😞 They give too much of the vibes of "rivals/secondary characters put together so they don't get in the way or stay single". I think they are a bit too opposite too. They work better as friends for me.

First, it was dancing in the grand ballroom. Well… attempting to dance, If it weren’t for Shalnark and his quick instincts, you surely would have fallen flat on your face and embarrassed yourself. Though, sadly, you two couldn’t dance for long due to his injuries but it wasn’t all that bad.

Instead, you two stood to the side, people watching and having a couple of drinks. Shalnark told you much about Meteor City and his childhood with some of the troupe members. Some were happy memories, others were sad but you were just glad he had told you something about him not many have heard.

Then when it started to get too crowded in the ballroom, Shalnark and you left to check out the many booths in the hallways. You two had great fun doing that; from gawking at the prices to imitating scenes from historical paintings, you just couldn’t stop laughing.

Finally, just when the theater show was about to start in the main auditorium, you were surprised when Shalnark was pushing you forward to another area. Taking you outside the building, he carefully looks over his shoulder before breaking out into a sprint. Racing after him, you are confused as to what is happening until Shalnark stops at a park, plenty away from the building.

Looking around as he giggles lightly, you watch curiously as Shalnark pulls a necklace out of his pocket.

“Shal! I swear if you—!”

“Shhh. Shhh” Shalnark hushes you, maneuvering behind you to put the necklace on. “Don’t give us away. I shut down the cameras at the place and on the way but you never know who is around.”

Huffing, you glare down at the necklace around your neck. Perfectly hanging over your bosom layed two sleek iron bats with them cradling a heart encrusted gem in their wings. The gemstone, an expensive pure rose quartz, almost seemed to glow under the bright city lights. You hated to admit it but the necklace was gorgeous.

You sigh to yourself, quickly shaking that thought out of your head, “Shal I can’t have this. You, of all people, should know how rare and expensive pure Rose Quartz is. I could— Hey are you even listening?”

You look appalled as Shalnark simply grabs your hand and begins walking off. Shaking a hand through his gelled back hair, he brushes his hair back into a messy version of its original form.

“What do you think we should grab for dinner (y/n)? I’m pretty hungry.” He asks, his blue eyes seeming to glow brightly even under the city lights.

“Shal I swear—“

Suddenly, you feel something warm and heavy lean on your back, snapping you out of your thoughts. You look over your shoulder and huff out a laugh.

“Good morning sleepyhead.” You coo out, reaching up and running one of your hands through Shalnark’s bed head.

“Mornin’” He grunts out, his voice deeper than normal due to just waking up. Shalnark attempts to open his eyes to see but after the sunlight nearly blinds him, he instead chooses to wrap his arms around your waist and nestle his face back into your shoulder. After a couple of more moments of enjoying each other’s presence, you suddenly feel the making of a smile etch it’s way onto Shalnark’s face.

“I see you are still wearing the necklace I gave you.” Shalnark mumbles out, bringing his hand up to play with the necklace in between his fingers.

“Oh shut up.”

Shalnark lets out a hefty chuckle, only to regret it when you start to get up. Letting out a whine, he lets go of the necklace to hold you tight to him as you continue to try to escape, “Don’t Leave! Come on (y/n), don’t you wanna be the Bonnie to my Clyde.”

“Nope.” You pop out, finally wiggling your way out of his grip and sitting up on the bed. Looking down at Shalnark, you can’t help but let out a giggle at his offended expression, “I’ll be the Bethany to your Clyde however.”

“The Bethany to my Clyde?” Shalnark repeats amused as he leans back on his forearms. The sheets falling down to reveal his shirtless chest in the process.

“Yep. Instead of approving and joining you on your risqué thefts like Bonnie…” You pause for a second as you sneakily grab the pillow next to you. “I’ll make sure to scold you real hard!”

With a loud thump, you jump on top of Shalnark and hit him square in the face with a pillow.

It’s quiet for a while not a sound is heard. That is until you eventually break and collapse onto Shalnark’s chest in a fit of giggles. As you are attempting to calm yourself down, Shalnark lifts the pillow off his face and chucks it to somewhere else in the room.

“Well, I would still fin—“ “Mew!”

Before Shalnark can even start his sentence, Chloe cuts him off with a loud call causing you to look over at her. Laying on her side, her tail twitches back and forth wistfully, showing how unhappy she was at the moment.

“Aww are you jealous I’m giving Shalnark more attention to you, Chloe? Come here Baby.” You coo out, getting off of Shalnark to press kisses all over Chloe’s face. All the while, Shalnark scowls as he looks on, clearly jealous that you had left him.

“Thief…” He grumbles out under his breath, already planning ways on stealing you back.

“I hope Chloe will get along with the other cats alright…” You sighed out, still worried even though it’s barely been over an hour since you dropped Chloe at a local pet day care center.

“It will be okay. It’s better than keeping her trapped in that hotel all day after all.” Shalnark answers with a smile as he swings an arm over your shoulder. He looks around at the area surrounding you two before mumbling under his breath, “Now where was it exactly…”

After walking a little while further down the street, Shalnark suddenly stops.

“Ah! This way.”

Still lost in your thoughts, you unconsciously follow where Shalnark was leading you, not noticing him taking you past a “No trespassing sign” and into a lot full of old abandoned buildings.

It wasn’t until he started to enter one of the buildings, that you even noticed where you were going. Uneasy, you look around you, pausing your search only as he stops in front of a large empty area in the building.

“(Y/n). I would like to introduce you to our troupe hideout.” Shalnark says grandly as he enters, “Well… one of them. We usually change it from place to place.”

Slowly, you take in the room around you, listening lightly as Shalnark talks your ear off. He tells you about where some of the members sat and all the arguments they got to around here.

However, his words soon fade out of your mind as you take notice of something in the corner of the room instead. Walking over carefully, you look down at the many dried up flower petals and burnt out candles. What was this?

“Oh. Damn it, I told Feitan to secure it more carefully.” Shalnark muttered out suddenly, scaring you lightly as you didn’t notice him next to you. You watch curiously as Shalnark fishes through the many flowers. “Ah. There it is.”

You can’t help but feel the breath knocked out of your lungs as you watch what Shalnark pulls up from the petals.

“A cross…” You mumble out agasped. You technically shouldn’t be surprised. After all, you knew one of Shalnark’s members was killed back in the republic of padokea so there could be more. But, at the same time, it felt… almost uncomfortable in a way, standing in front of a grave of someone you didn’t know.

“All… Set.” Shalnark grunts out, securing the cross back in place. It’s quiet for a couple of minutes before Shalnark speaks again. “You know… out of all the troupe members I think Pakunoda would have loved you the most.”

“P…Pardon?”

“Ah. Sorry sorry.” Shalnark mutters, taking a step back before taking a seat in front of the petals. It takes a couple of moments but hesitantly, still unsure if you should, you join him.

“Pakunoda was my designated partner on troupe missions. So, over the years, I got to know her more than most of the members.” Shalnark explains, twiddling one of the petals in his hand. “She was pretty serious about the troupe. Even being so cold at times it would even surprise me. Though… I think that surprise was due to the fact that I knew she had the biggest heart of the troupe…”

Shalnark falls backwards onto the ground, a confused yet also painful look on his face.

“I-I… still don’t understand why she sacrificed herself for the boss. I honestly don’t and not sure if I ever will.”

Sitting there you allow Shalnark’s words to slowly sink into you. You were unsure about what to say especially since you don’t know Pakunoda that well but, at the very least, you knew you had to be there for Shalnark.

Hesitantly, you lay yourself on the cold ground close to Shalnark; Allowing him to hide his face in the crook of your neck. As you begin to run your hand over his back, already feeling it slightly begin to shake under your soothing touch, you think to yourself.

“Shal…” You murmur out, pausing for a second as you stare at the broken stained glass window on the ceiling, “Let’s buy some new flowers for Pakunoda’s grave before we leave. I think… she would appreciate it if we clean it up for her.

You hear Shalnark let out a light chuckle, “Yeah… she would appreciate that a lot. She could be quite the clean freak at times…”

WHO'S READY FOR SOME CLYDE X KYLO BESTIES? 

“Darlin’,” Clyde called from the garage, “Have y’ seen my fishin’ pole? Ren n I are goin’ out tomorrow. I need t’ have this all done before he comes by n’ messes with my system.” 

You shook your head, finishing up a batch of fudge brownies. Carefully packing them for the kids to take some to school, and the rest would be stuffed in Clyde’s ‘food’ cooler for tomorrow. You had also made a helping of lunch options for both boys, since Clyde only eats bologna sandwiches when fishing... or whenever he can. However, Kylo is not a bologna man. 

He nearly fainted when he ate it accidentally when Clyde abused him at his work, apparently he took Clyde’s ‘lunch briefcase’ by accident. Don’t ask for details, Kylo was very upset. 

So, you improvised with other foods you knew he had come to like with being around your family. Stuffing the cooler to the brim with beer, Irish whiskey, and plenty of snacks for your Big Bear. 

And his angry sidekick. 

Clyde slid into bed early, kissing behind your ear as he whispered how much he loved you. Wrapping a heavy paw around your waist as the two of you drifted off to sleep. You were torn from a lovely dream about being childless and running around in a field by your husband jumping out of bed. Mumbling to himself, quietly shouting to himself, where he left his things. This was followed by a second set of long legs joining you in your bedroom. 

Hands set on either side of your head, “Am I going to have to eat bologna on this deathtrap?” 

“Kylo?” you mumbled, squinting up into the dark. Only to be met with long hair brushing your face and an angry snarl on your second favorite person's lips. 

“No-no,” you yawned, rolling away from him to cuddle into Clyde’s pillow, “I made you some other stuff-it’s just packed away.” 

A grunt, “Thank you,” followed by an aggressive kiss to the forehead before Kylo stomped away. Clyde sat down next to you, holding your cheek in his palm, stroking it with his thumb, “Can you please be careful? I don’t want to fish you out of a river later today.”

“Clyde this boat isn’t big enough for both of us.” 

“Sure it is!” 

Kylo glared at him, they had driven for an hour since leaving the Logans and now Clyde was packing up this sorry excuse of a boat for them to ‘fish along the riverside’. 

“Is one of them, double-wide canoes.” 

Kylo held his face in his hands, considering for a moment how easy it would be to get away with murder. He watched enough True Crime, he could do it, just needed to have an alibi so after he drowns Clyde he could go back and swoop you away from the hell that is having 6 children. 

“Let’s go, buddy!” Clyde threw a pole at Kylo, “We only have enough snacks t’ last us about four hours.” 

“And then what?” 

Clyde looked at Kylo with a somber look, “Then it’s survival of the fittest my friend.”

All the girls were sprawled out in the living room, watching some random movie they found on Netflix. Junior was bouncing away in his little chair, babbling nonsense to his sisters. You peaked in for a little, wondering when Clyde and Kylo would be back... 

“Dad just texted me, apparently Clyde dropped his phone in the river,” Violent mumbled to the group. A collective groan sounded, Chloe piped up as she stared at Violent, “Did your dad try and kill him?” 

Violent snorted, “He wouldn’t have to try.” 

“Okay girls,” you needed to stop that before it got out of hand. Violent was nice to only one of your daughters and that was Laramie. She merely tolerated the others because of her best friend, and honestly, she's made even you cry before. 

“They’re here,” Lilly and Lola spoke from the window. 

“Oh thank god,” you muttered, pushing past them to look for yourself. It looked okay, no one was missing, Clyde was muddy and still in his waders, Kylo looked like he was dunked in the river. Both of them unloaded in the garage, bursting in one by one. Clyde greeted you first, “Darlin’ you won’ believe it!” 

“Clyde.” 

“This guy can’t fuckin’ swim!” 

“Clyde!” 

“We were out on the water, jus’ in the canoe-” 

“It's not a canoe.” 

“An I see a huge fish,” Clyde spread his arms wide, “So I shoot it, wasn’ gonna try and catch it normal. And it flopped up right by him, and he fell in!” 

“Kylo,” you questioned, “Is that-” 

He held up his palm, “Clyde I’m going to roll around in your bed. Since you love mud and fish guts so much, you’ll feel right at home when you fall asleep tonight.”

Just the thought of Logan rapping this line to Hieron clears my skin.

This is giving me Logan vibes after the reveal where MC leaves the shop and he’s just reeling in his emotions and feelings and is just purely in his bag thinking about everything

This song hurts me so so much but it’s giving me MC sleeping on Logan’s chest type of vibes while he’s up because he can’t sleep and he’ . Also reminds me of Logan because we all know that infamous line “I was just a rock in space lucky enough to burn up in your atmosphere for a moment,” and I feel like this was an unspoken if you look to the stars you’ll know I’m always with you type beat.

Okay so y’all remember how MC was having a mini identity crisis and didn’t know which version of herself she was? And Logan was listening and understanding and processing everything she was ranting about but in the end was just like no matter which one you decide, I like all of you? Yeah, that. Along with him just supporting her whenever he can, even though sometimes it can be overbearing, and him just loving watching her change and grow before his eyes (even though we not gonna mention the part of him that doesn’t love that change, feeling guilty for the person she’s becoming and how it could change her life, and the initial intentions he had although how he feels now is genuine) is literally what I think about with these lines

And don’t get me wrong, I know he’s not perfect in your eyes / but somehow he’s flawless in mine

This is the lyric that really gets me because one of the things I loved about Ride or Die was the complicated relationship MC had with her father as it was something that resonated so strongly with me. So this one right here really just encapsulates an aspect of that because when MC’s on her this is who I am now and I know you resent that because he genuinely is so hurt and in shock of how his girl changed before his eyes, beyond the reigns of control that he once had, and he can’t do anything else but process and accept that his little girl isn’t so little anymore, rolling around with the people he tried so hard to keep her away from.

I’m a star, I’m just hidden in the low light

Pretty explanatory, considering Logan’s been through a considerable amount of situations that put him in harm’s way and he’s come out stronger (and considerably more detached) each time.

This song reminds me of Logan and MC a lot because it’s an optimistic take on their relationship as a whole and the sad ending.

I think Logan would listen to R&B, specifically sappy 90’s R&B, and this line reminds me of them perfectly. I mean just listen to it, it’s perfect.

Logan says from the get go that he thinks it’s wild that MC is modest and that he’s surprised she hadn’t gotten a lot of attention from guys. The other song lyrics I mentioned remind me a lot of their separation.

Yeah, we all know Colt wasn’t straightforward with his feelings but is more prone to expressing himself physically, and I think this song feels like a confession of her own qualms with him but recognizing that she’s alright with him being physical over verbal. Honestly it’s probably not that deep but this song reminds me of Colt x MC so much.
