Thoughts about Clavis route

I finished Clavis's route yesterday! I chose Dramatic ending and am now playing it again for the Romantic ending route.

Bullet points because I can't write coherently right now lol. Spoilers ahead!

I love Clavis's route?! I feel like it has the best writing among the available routes so far. I like how they wrote the MC here. Usually in other routes there are some aspects in the MC where I kind of got annoyed with but not here in Clavis's route! So I like that very much. MC is a tsundere! LOL

Much as I like Clavis, I came out of playing this route LOVING CHEVALIER MORE LOL. In every other princes' routes, he's the highlight for me. I just love him so much. I love him, your honor. CHEVALIER LIGHT OF MY LIFE. I have no intelligent comment to contribute lmao. Every time he shows up I'd get the urge to offer my body and soul to him. Stab me with your bloody sword, you towering iceberg bibliophile.

MC AND CHEVALIER AS BOOK BFFs YES PLEASE (and how jealous Clavis is YES JEALOUSY GIMME GIMME)

This route made me appreciate Leon's faction, surprisingly! I feel that in their breakfast interviews I managed to glean more on what they want to do for their kingdom than in their own routes lol. At the very least I have a concrete idea now on what they want. Why is it that I get more glimpses of their politics in the routes of the foreign affairs faction lol

Why do the princes in foreign affairs faction have better political plots I very much enjoy them

Chev's mother and Clavis's mother were lesbians and they loved each other.

Among the new characters, I'm eyeing Silvio because he's voiced by Satou Takuya, but I'm intrigued by Gilbert! In the trailer that first introduced them, I wasn't really interested in Gilbert, but now, with what is shown so far, I am curious!

Re Chevalier and Clavis's relationship: I had an inkling that Chevalier values Clavis as an individual, so I'm happy that it's confirmed!

The reveal that Clavis being a kind and compassionate prince underneath that scoundrel persona ... I know that he's supposed to be a foil to Chevalier, the opposite of cold logic and reason, I understand it, really. But -- and this is just my personal taste talking -- I'm the teensiest bit disappointed LOL. I get it, I really do. He's an analogue of ikesen Mitsuhide even, what with those blatant similarities in the first chapter and sticking to his own beliefs and convictions. I guess I was hoping for a more morally ambiguous motivation to his character. I do kind of notice that the princes, pared down to their essential motivations and character, are good and kind (I think it's an executive decision by Cybird to design characters [many, but not all] that come from the original position of goodness/kindness but are morally ambiguous in their actions -- I'm looking at you, Nobunaga, Vlad, Kicho, Motonari, Mitsuhide, Lancelot, etc.). Only Chevalier doesn't have that compassion and kindness the others have; his is more a question of practicality than morality. Come to think of it, Chevalier is an analogue of Nobunaga, so the parallels between Chevalier+Clavis and Nobunaga+Mitsuhide are notable. I don't actually know where I'm going with this lol. But I love Clavis as a character! I guess the dramatic ending plot didn't completely vibe with me (interfering in the affairs of another nation-state without their consent just invites disaster; Clavis is so fucking lucky this is his own route lmao).

What vibed with me, however, was that until the end of the route, they haven't properly confessed to each other! MC held on to her tsun till the last chapter. This is where Clavis has the advantage against Chevalier hahaha. I was slightly dissatisfied with how MC's confession took place in Chev's route.

Chapter 19 was hilarious because MC and Clavis were having a lovers' quarrel WHILE CHEVALIER WAS JUST A FEW FEET AWAY. Poor Chev, he just wants to read in peace 😂 He's truly the long-suffering brother, having to endure his brothers' shenanigans.

Clavis being a studious nerd is so precious. He just wants to prove himself! ����

I probably have other thoughts but these are all that I can remember right now. Anyhoo, tl;dr: I love Clavis's route! It has solid writing and I enjoyed it very much.

Favourite Female: I really liked Nona - her design, her role in the story, her personality…she was just a really well-done character!

Favourite Male: Decim, easily. You spend so much of the series following him, watching him progress and grow and you just get so attached to him.

3 OTPs: Honestly, I actually came pretty close to shipping in this series and while I’m not super-serious about it, don’t write for it or search fanart for it or anything, I don’t mind Decim/Chiyuki or Mayu/Harada?

Notp: Don’t really have one, I guess?

Funniest Character: I found Mayu funny at times, in how she interacted with Ginti, though overall the series itself isn’t very funny.

Prettiest Character: Castra is gorgeous.

Most Annoying Character: Takashi bothered me for so many reasons.

Most Badass Character: You have to admit that though you might not like him all the time, Oculus is pretty bad-ass.

Character I’d like as my BFF: Decim, easily. He’s a cool guy, in his own understated way and besides, his drinks look yummy!

Female Character I’d Marry: Mayu would be a good wife.

Male Character I’d Marry: Clavis. He’s cute and he seems like he’d be easy to get along with, with very little to consistently annoy someone.

Character I hate/dislike/least like: It’s a toss-up between Takashi and Misaki

Additionally, my social life is such to where my heavenly husband actually is happy for me and rejoices when I go out with a friend because I admit to needing to encourage myself to go out more. Yes, I married young (age 23 in 2004) after meeting my amazing husband in the navy and fortunately we are still happily married over 14 years later. Additionally, I have had plenty of opportunities and time to have fun both in my younger years and now.  Additionally, I have been fortunate in both my marriage and career front. You can say that for me this creative fiction writing is one of my types of healthy outlet fun as I continue to nurture my marriage with my sweet husband and balance my goals in other areas of my life as well. There are also 3 different stores alongside a 2 mile area that was converted to a shopping mall/transportation hub area of both flying buses and trains as well as a 3 story library built into a building that is a hybrid of costo, amazon, and target. Two of the 60 year old organizers Wilbur Moss and Dorothea Donovan of this 5 year festival are celebrated authors Some of their books include both fiction and non-fiction books pertaining to the culinary, military, and media worlds. Both have been paid recently 5 million dollars in early 2000s money to have one of the books made into films that combine creative fiction elements with a character who travels in people's sleeptime dreams inception film style and has the ability/gift to see what is happening in that person's dream and give the sleeptime dreamer some decoded messages and wisdom that benefits their life for either themselves, their friends andor family, andor for the benefit of mankind. Both of them also teach popular class workshops for the past 20 years that combine creative writing and law of attraction techniques involving people scripting their lives both through the perspective of their earth lives and their afterlife daily lives combined with a focus on their higher selves seen through the prism of their choice in what non fiction or fiction book to write. In the first year that this workshop was created there were many, even from the new age community who scoffed at the idea. However 3 years after the first workshop, over 90 percent of the workshop participants reported some unexpected pleasant surprises in various areas of their lives. One of the workshop participants went from making 3000 dollars after taxes each month to a millionaire making at least 480,000 dollars after taxes each month within 9 years while juggling being a author and a full time worker who has travels for work every week across Virginia, Florida, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Both of them also volunteer as career mentors to people of various ages at the newly built library target amazon and costco building build by the year 2079 in college park maryland. Resources I too married young around the age of 23 on January 22, 2004 when I was still in the U.S. Navy. However,fortunately I have a close, loving, and happy 14 year marriage with my sweet/heavenly husband to where he actually knows more about both my personal and career life more than anyone else who I know in my life (yes even some controversial secrets that would definitely might make some people see me more wild than I actually am). Additionally, my sweet husband actually tries to get me to go out and have a social life more often and so I am completely outside the target audience for this article aside from me being happily married. As an American born woman blessed to also be married to my best friend, I agree with what Andrea Bonnor is saying  and I avoid daring to dub myself a psychologist yet I would also respectfully add this question; what is the married friends career andor family life. I am not implying that other people are at fault for a situation where the married best friend needs to actually tell the husband more stuff than she is telling a mutual friend rather than the other way around. Rather I have a feeling that something may be going on with an aspect of the married friends career/employment/professional andor other areas of her life to where she feels the need to go completely wild in her having fun. In other words, maybe the married friend may need to reach out to an unbiased career andor life coach about what area of her life that could benefit from the married friend taking the bull by the horns so to speak andor going after what she wants. Clavis hands down would be my #1 bestie! We’d get up to alllll kinds of mayhem together, from sneaking smutty novels into Chev’s to-be-read stack of books, to put-trapping Yves with nets, and brewing up all kinds of recipes for the princes to try. To top it off, we’d get ourselves into trouble over trying to pull one over on Gilbert.

Yves would be my next bff. We’d shop til we dropped everyday, swap authentic recipes and told tea parties with Keith and Licht. I would look forward to watching his utter lack of picking up on social cues when comes to other people’s love lives, and look forward to seeing Licht calling him out for it. He’d be my hair dresser for all the balls and we’d have pillow fights and girl talk the night away ✨
