@panthera-tigris-venenata I'm mildly sure this may not have been what you meant but it's what happened when I started writing. Kinda based it off your story. I hope you enjoy.
_______________________________
Seven Deadly Sins:
Uma is quite possibly the most powerful person on the isle. She has deals with everyone. But even though she knows everyone, she's possessive when it comes to certain people. Very possessive.
Harry is cunning, charming, and flirtatious. He has the looks, but the madness is always what shines the brightest. He's a damn good fighter and crazy as hell. A perfect mix with his utmost loyalty and willingness to kill for anyone he loves. But with that comes a certain jealousy.
Claudine is hidden in the shadows. She keeps her head down. Maybe if she hides she'll be able to avoid all the sins around her. Her father makes her feel like a mistake because she is disobedient. She tries not to be, she tries to avoid the fires of chaos. But when it's the people that start those fires who seem to make her feel like she's worth something, well it's hard to avoid the flames. Especially when blood can be so pretty, blades can be so pretty, people can be so pretty, oh and by God forgive her for thinking about how pretty women can be.
There is a clear outlier here. Where Uma and Harry flaunt all their confidence and power, Claudine tries to be invisible. After all pride is a sin, a deadly one. Where Harry and Uma display their affection and desire so publicly and proudly, Claudine would never do such a thing with someone, after all lust is a sin, a deadly one. While Uma and Harry promise the blood and screams of anyone who dare hurt or insult them or even worse, the other, Claudine wouldn't, (she shouldn't) even think about harming or hurting another soul. After all wrath is a sin, a deadly one.
So when Claudine saw Uma's jealousy and possessiveness as Harry flirted with another person, well she just assumed they were sinning again-
Envy.
Never upon her wildest dreams did Claudine think she would get involved too.
Uma kissed her. And unfortunately, Claudine didn't hate it.
Lust.
Harry watched with prying eyes as the bitterness grew within him.
Wrath.
Claudine was in a haze of desire and confusion as Uma walked away from her like nothing happened to rub it in Harry's face.
Greed.
Both Harry and Uma were too drunk and too cocky right now to admit that they were in the wrong.
Pride.
And it was all because of Claudine. All the drama surrounded her. She had just unwillingly, been in the center of five out of seven deadly sins.
Confusion was swirling. How did Claudine Frollo possibly get caught up with Harry and Uma? She couldn't be more different from them.
Claudine was the most confused. Uma was unfazed, this was nothing new for her. Harry didn't care either, well he didn't care about Claudine, he cared every last bit about Uma. How rude that they didn't seem to care that the other girl was having a life crisis.
Harry is beautiful. But he can be a real bitch.
Now Uma, she's gorgeous. But she caused one hell of a mess just because she didn't know how to properly deal with 'feelings'
Claudine would like to think that she is definitely not a bitch and she absolutely knows how to deal with her emotions. But she is wrong, and that is where the three of them have a mutuality.
In fact, Claudine is wrong about a lot of things in her life because she is in denial. But Uma and Harry see that she is just as sinful as them.
Actually, she's worse than them, simply because she believes she's not. Harry and Uma are proud of who they are, they are happy to defy the rules, they revel in the fact that people are scared of them, and they aren't afraid of each other's love. Claudine is simply just jealous.
Claudine believes that the Lost Revenge is a cult. They have strange practices. They seem to worship a goddess. Harry even prays to her, with every breath he prays to her. He lays down his life before her. He follows her every wish.
But it begs the question, if the Lost Revenge is a cult, then what is Claudine's religion? The lines are becoming blurred.
Did Harry have the right idea? The chances of Harry's Goddess saving everyone were high. The chances of Claudine's God saving everyone seemed slim to none, where was he now?
Did she even actually believe it was possible? Her father's ideals and church brought her pain. Uma's brought hope.
But see, Uma was making Claudine have a crisis. Clearly. Or maybe the turmoil was always there and Uma set it free.
Harry was making it hard to accept though. Because he's a stubborn, loyal, devoted bitch that is completely and utterly in love with Uma and he couldn't see that she could be at fault for anything so he was blaming Claudine.
It would be nice if he could learn how to share. Except Claudine shouldn't want Harry to share. She shouldn't want Uma. And she shouldn't be mad at Harry either, she couldn't blame him, anyone would do the same thing. She would do the same thing.
Uma kept Harry safe and grounded, she made him feel like he could do anything. Harry kept Uma from spiraling and giving up. He made her feel loved.
Claudine didn't know how to be someone's anchor and she didn't want to be. But when she watched them a part of her wished she had one. But her father was adiment that she had no will power to do anything and she was unlovable.
When Claudine accidentally became the drama she was confused and disgusted by the pirates immoral behavior. Until she saw a glimpse.
Claudine saw the pirate crews on the docks and she wanted to be apart of it. She wanted to be accepted and have a family that protected her. She wanted to have fun and drink and party. She wanted to let parts of herself free that she had hidden away. It was the complete opposite of her life and the conservative mind set that was fed to her. But that's why it seemed perfect.
It was wrong though. It was so good but it was wrong. And Claudine didn't know how to handle the contradicting thoughts in her mind.
Uma is a queen, the people love her for who she is.
Harry is a pirate, crazy but he is sure of himself, he's not afraid of others opinions.
Claudine is a disciple, she doesn't get any say over herself, she is told what she can and cannot be. And truthfully, she hates herself for it.
Claudine is so fucking ready to sin.

The VKs and Games
It doesn't matter what kind of games they like to play. It doesn't matter what kind of game it is. The very notion of a game is warped, for some of them.
The last time Harriet Hook played a game, it was in an attempt to keep her barely-out-of-toddlerhood siblings quiet and occupied as they crouched in a small dark place on the Jolly Roger and their father rampaged in a drunken rage.
The very idea of playing a game is completely foreign to Claudine Frollo. She genuinely has no idea what it is.
The only games Mal, Uma, Evie, Ginny Gothel, and anyone else with fairy or witch blood have experience with are word games, riddles, where one misspoken word costs you a lot more than the game. They are experts in wording things very carefully and finding loopholes.
The only games Freddie and Celia Facilier have ever played are card games. And they're always for something, even something small and useless. Games are never for free.
When Carlos was younger, Cruella sometimes played a game with him. Usually it involved Carlos having to pretend to be a puppy and Cruella hitting him with her cane if he forgot.

Written for @descendantsworldbuilding for @descendantsgiftexchange ! Enjoy <3 AO3
"I don't think this is such a good idea."
Uma tramps up the hillside, the frosty grass crunching underneath her feet. The wind seems to get colder and colder as she and Harry traverse closer to the forest.
"We're just going on the edge," she calls back to her not-quite-officially-first-mate (after all, you need a ship to have a first mate, and all Uma has right now is Murphy's dinghy, which he uses every day but Tuesday to fish, so it's not much use). "And we'll get a bush."
Harry frowns. "But it was a tree on the TV," he says. "But okay. If you say so, captain."
The two slip and slide down the muddy hill, down to the creepy forest. Uma hasn't gone here before. She's explored every corner of the Isle, from Scar's "Pridelands" to every nook of the dock. Here it is a mystery.
But she's not here to explore--she's here to get a bush for a Christmas tree.
The Isle doesn't celebrate Christmas. Why would they? All that nonsense about being good and nice--Uma had thought it was hilarious. Nevertheless, commercials from Auradon played on the small TV at the Chip Shoppe. Both Uma and Harry had seen how Gil's eyes had lit up when he saw the decorated tree, complete with candles (fire hazard, Harry had pointed out, which was rich coming from a Hook of all people. But maybe he meant it like a good thing.) and glittery glass balls.
Since Gil is not-quite-but-technically-her-second-mate, Uma decided she would give Gil a Christmas tree. Or bush.
Uma takes the knife she smuggled from the kitchen and glances around, looking for an appropriately sized bush. The two children remain at the edge of the forest, unwilling to go much further.
"I heard Madam Mim lives down here," Harry says, picking up a stick and swinging it experimentally around.
"Uh-huh," Uma says.
"Come here, Harry, I found it," she says, pointing to a scraggly, thorny bush that was appropriately sized for them to carry around without looking too weird.
"That doesn't look like the tree we saw on TV."
"They don't grow here," Uma says. Indeed, the only trees that grew on the Isle were bare and black and thorny. They had once been green, the older kids always said. Uma never believed them.
"Not even the trees like us," Harry says.
"It's missing something," Harry says. They managed to lug the bush without getting too many thorns in their hands, and without Gil spotting them. It is meant to be a surprise, after all.
"Yeah, those glass balls," Uma says. Where could she find something similar...? Glass balls themselves wouldn't be here, on the Isle, but if she found colourful glass of some sort that she could string onto the prickly branches...
"And those candles!" Harry has that fire-loving look in his eye.
"No," Uma sighs. A thought strikes her. "Hey, Frollo has those fancy glass windows in his church, right?" The windows of the church itself are boarded up, but Uma is fairly the old bastard has some fancy glass somewhere. Harriet says he does, she remembers when he hadn't boarded up the windows, and Uma doubts he would've gotten rid of them entirely.
Harry glances at her. "I'll get the bat," he says, immediately catching onto what she's suggesting. The bat, of course, being the weapon of choice when going anywhere near Frollo.
.
.
Uma and Harry, who is now armed with a bat he had to wrestle away from CJ, walk towards the church, which is really just a stone building with a fancy entrance. The only reason why Frollo hasn't been ransacked is because of his stupid guards who hunt down anyone and anything. Loyal like dogs, is what Ursula had said. Was being loyal like a dog a bad thing? Well, Frollo's guards were a nuisance anyway.
They walk through the streets of the Isle, the wind still cold and nipping at their bare hands and faces. Luckily for Uma, she won't have to deal with Mal, because Frollo's church is just bordering on Mad Maddy's territory, and Mal has made an enemy of the Mim, so Uma is safe--as safe as she can be, that is. Mad Maddy and Uma are on decent terms, but Uma doesn't trust Maddy as far as she can throw her.
"No guards today," Harry says happily, when the stone church comes into view.
"Good," Uma says. Guards would have just been an obstacle to overcome, but she wouldn't have let them stop her. She is determined to get this for Gil.
Harry stands guard while Uma climbs up onto the window ledge and kicks down the wooden boards, rotting and poorly placed. Almost like a child put them up. Oh well, all the better for Uma, it just means it's easier for her to get through.
She lifts Harry into the empty, musty church, immediately muffling a sneeze. It is completely empty, devoid of life. There's one pew--either because there weren't enough when Frollo initially claimed this building as his or he just expects everyone to stand--and some sort of table up at the front, with a little cross nailed onto the wall, and a door leading to another part of the building. Uma doesn't see any stained glass here.
"What do we do if we don't find any?"
"I bet the Tremaines have some," Uma says in response. And if not the Tremaines, then Ginny Gothel. And if not her, then...Uma could figure something out. Maybe she could dye some pieces of fabric. It didn't matter, she would make this tree for Gil.
They head down the hallway, peering into the rooms for these stained glass windows. There's a room with a cot--does Frollo sleep here? Uma wishes she had brought some rotting fish--and a room filled with--
Stained glass windows!
Uma gestures Harry over and they head into the room, Harry swinging around his bat to smash them into decent sized chunks. They're harder to smash than they look, and it takes them a good few minutes to get the pieces into a decent size.
"Uma?"
Uma kicks aside some boring shards of yellow glass and looks up at Harry. "What?" she asks. Harry simply points, and Uma turns, and there's a girl dressed in a drab grey dress, dark eyes comically wide as she witnesses Uma and Harry destroying the glass. Uma and the girl look at each other for a few seconds, Uma wondering if she'll ever start talking.
The girl clears her throat, and summons a righteous look of anger on her face. "Why are you desecrating the art of this church?" she demands, her voice hoarse. Uma tilts her head.
"We're celebrating Christmas," she says haughtily, fully aware she has been caught at the scene of her crime by who Uma assumes is Frollo's child. She pities the woman who had to bear this kid, and put up with Frollo of all people, who is definitely worse than ninety percent of the Isle.
The girl sputters. "By destroying things?!" she demands. "By destroying the visage of the blessed saints?!"
"We're decorating our tree," Harry says, holding up a bag with multicolored glass shards.
The two begin to stroll out casually, their mission complete. Uma steals a glance at the girl, who's mouth is opening and closing like a dying fish, following after them, like a scolding schoolteacher.
Finally, she gathers her words. "The tree isn't--that's not Christmas! Christmas is about our Lord and Saviour Jesus--"
Uma and Harry close the heavy wooden door to the church, cutting of the girl's voice.
"That was weird," Harry says.
"Yeah," Uma agrees. "Next stop, the Tremaines."
"...Hey, Uma," Harry says. "Who's Jesus?"
Uma shrugs. Probably someone from Auradon.
.
.
The Tremaines are closed, but Uma doesn't care and marches straight in. Harry is slightly reluctant to go in, perhaps worried he might see his sister and Anthony...ahem, passionately intertwined. But the only ones there are Diana and Dizzy Tremaine.
"Can't you all read the sign?" Diana asks, not glancing up from the mess of craft materials she and her sister have dragged out.
"No," Harry says. "I'm illiterate." He drops the bag of glass onto the table. "Can you make some ornaments out of these?"
"Where'd you get this?" Diana opens the bag and peers inside. She whistles in surprise. "You got your hands on some stained glass. Is the barge in town or something?"
"No," Uma shakes her head. The barge won't come until the spring, she knows. They already received their autumn-winter garbage drop off. "We got this from Frollo."
"He gave it to you?" Diana blinks. "He must have been in a really good mood. Christmas spirit, maybe."
"No, we stole them," Uma says, narrowing her eyes. As if she'd ever make a deal with Frollo. "Can you make them into ornaments or not?"
"What's in it for me?" Diana crosses her arms. Dizzy is still completely absorbed in gluing together two pieces of gold chains. Harry is eyeing the pile next to her, perhaps an idea brewing.
In the end, Diana takes all the green and purple coloured bits of glass, citing she wants them for earrings, which leaves the two pirates with the red, the white, and the blue. It's fine, but Uma wishes she still had the green. It is, after all, supposed to be a Christmas tree, and green is a Christmas colour. At least Diana did a good job of smoothing down the edges of the glass so that Uma doesn't cut her fingers every time she handles them.
And, just as Uma thought, Harry bartered with Dizzy to get some of those gold chains to string around the bush. It wasn't a fair deal, but hey, Dizzy is four, she would be fine.
Having secured the decorations, their next stop is Big Murphy's dinghy (which is Uma's on Tuesdays), where the teen is getting ready to go fish before it gets too cold. "Hey, Murphy," Uma says. "Can we get some fishing twine?"
Murphy peers at them, then the stuff they're holding in their hands, and then back to them. "Why?" he asks suspiciously.
"Why do you want to know?" Harry says.
Murphy raises an eyebrow. "I don't know, you look like you're up to no good."
"We're," Uma glances around, searching for Gil. She can't see him, but she lowers her voice anyway. "We're making a Christmas tree for Gil. We need the twine to hang up the decorations."
Murphy doesn't look very convinced, so Uma decides she'll throw in a deal to sweeten it.
"If you give us one roll of twine," Uma says. "You get free meals at the Shoppe for a week." Ursula would make her do double shifts for a month for this deal, but it would definitely be worth it.
Murphy blinks at her sudden generosity. "Three meals a day?"
"One."
"Two," Murphy counters.
"Deal."
He hands over the twine. "Have fun," he says.
"Ursula's gonna kill you for that deal," Harry say.
"Yeah, and?" Uma retorts. "Let's go decorate the tree."

Hunger Games & Descendants crossover
Aka me showing Descendants characters into vaguely hunger games setting because it sparks joy. Keeping one (1) Hunger Games character: Ceasar Flickerman, for the reason that Descendants Verse moderator (Snow White) would faint within a minute of having to share a stage with exhibitionistic pirates.
Also. Haymitch. I feel like he and Harriet & James Hook should meet.
Anyway.
(I hope you don't expect any plot)
The Hooks are the Fourth District. The sea side one. Uma, too, and the Smees.
James Hook is a Victor long past, and he lost a hand in his games. He had it replaced by a hook, because he's committing to the bit. Drama queen. He's a Capitol favourite and still very much haunted by the children he fought in his arena. (He's so perfect for this au, I can't)
Harriet is also a Victor, from two years prior.
She volunteered and didn't have a good time ever since. (Didn't have a good time ever ✨)
She didn't lose a hand. This does not stop the Capitol from styling her with a hook.
Both of them are rather heavy alcoholics by this point.
Harriet was a difficult Victor. Stubborn and way too happy to speak her mind. It took Capitol pointing at her siblings and going „If you don't shut up, they'll be next“ to get her to cooperate.
She shut up. She was not happy about it but she's not letting her siblings die in the arena – or otherwise.
Either way, after her, the Capitol needed a Good Victor (tm). They found their Victor in Claudine Frollo, a brainwashed career from District One.
She was ready to lie on her knife for her (District) people rebelling against the Capitol, but her Games were pretty heavily rigged. She was not allowed near sharp things by the gamemakers.
Her trauma from the arena is unsurprisingly not helping. Claudine gets unresponsive for huge amounts of time, and she's still not allowed near sharp things.
„You were raised in a fucking cult!“ „...oh.“ This conversation between Harriet and Claudine definitely happens. Harriet is this close to snapping at Claudine at live TV.
Either way, deal somewhat holds, right? Younger Hook siblings are not reaped.
... wouldn't be the Hooks if there wasn't more chaos, okay?
Next year, Uma is reaped, and there is no way Harry is letting her go alone. He volunteers before the boys are even reaped, threatening murder to career girls who didn't take Uma's place and career boys who would take his in the same breath.
This flies, because Capitol lives for drama.
Also, surprisingly, Uma's reaping wasn't rigged. And even if it was, she was not a part of any deal.
Ursula was an actress, a singer, dragged to Capitol from District four and tossed back when they got bored; when she got too old or otherwise unsuitable. She blames Uma for this. Her most famous role was that of a Sea Witch because Why Not.
Uma wasn't a career, but Harry was. He didn't graduate yet, and his older sister insisted he doesn't volunteer.
Anyway. Since this is AU, I feel like it should be possible for the Games to have multiple Victors if the people like them enough.
It's not something common, but it can happen. It has happened before.
Mulan and Shang pulled it off. Mulan while posing as her brother or male cousin all the while. It was one of the earlier games, but people loved it. (Consequently, their son got reaped the year before Harriet. Pure coincidence, you see. He survived, though.)
The other people winning together were Raya and Namaari, because I said so. They had no children for reasons called "they're lesbians, your honour."
And Uma and Harry are gonna win together too because this is MY self-indulgent AU with zero actual plot.
They're having way too much fun on the stage. Survival instinct (the bit that Uma has) gets overshadowed by the need to a) shock as much people as possible and b) drama✨
They end up making out at the tribute interview. Ceasar is having the time of his life. He hasn't had this interesting tributes since Harriet Hook and Ivy de Vil.
(they obviously make out at the Victors interview too)
De Vils now, yeah?
Third district. Technology, for Carlos. They're inovators, the driving force.
Cruella, much like Hook, is a victor of long past. She went mad in her Games. Her victor talent is fashion, obviously, and Capitol has no problems with the more unethical aspects of her designs.
Her reaping-age relatives have the unfortunate tendency to, well, get reaped. She lost a brother, two nephews and a niece this way.
You see, de Vils are rebels. They need to stand out, they need to be heard. (Much like Hooks, but in better clothes, thank you for asking.)
Ivy was the last one reaped. Now, she knew her odds – one in twenty four and worse yet. The Capitol is not letting a de Vil win again.
Consequently, she might have started riot on her tribute interview. I mean, what are they gonna do? Kill her?
Yeah, I thought so.
I'm getting lost, aren't I.
Tremaines. Officers family from District Eight that thinks themselves way too important (they really aren't). All accusations of Anthony's reaping being rigged will be denied.
Anthony is in the same games as Uma and Harry because Drama.
His stylist is Audrey Rose who got caught high in public one too many times. But hey. They're vibing. Also, this conversation:
Anthony, talking about Harriet: "... she's just so pretty-“
Audrey, an aro ace, just trying to do her job: „...I suppose? She could use to wear something different than the red, and a bit less eyeliner...“
(Ginny, barging in: „YES SHE IS.“)
(I'm projecting on Audrey and you cannot stop me.) (She isn't being mean, she's just struggling to see it.) (Struggling in general. Girl is dissociating more than not, but actually trying her best as a tribute stylist.) (She and Claudine should meet. Attend some therapy together.)
Ginny is Capitol, too. She's a medical student, a medic apprentice, whatever you want to call it. Aesthetics and cosmetics surgery specifically. She's shadowing some doctors at tribute-victor-centre.
Which, let's be honest, mainly means that she, Anthony and Harriet can meet ✨
Like Anthony, she thinks that Harriet is gorgeous. She thinks the same about Anthony.
She flatlines Anthony's medical tracker while he's sleeping but still very much alive in the arena. This goes unnoticed because Harry and Uma are kicking up too much drama. And Ginny and Anthony are pretty good at disguises.
Faciliers. They live in Capitol. With documents that are certainly both legal and theirs.
But hey. No one is gping to kick them out. They smuggle in expensive drugs and absinth and other interesting stuff.
They also know way too much blackmail.
Celia and Freddie have accidentally befriended the gamemakers while making deliveries and now the gamemakers let them play a bit and design new fun mutts!
(Stuff of nightmares, I tell you)
Mal is a way too Capitol-propaganda enthusiastic Victor from one of the poor Districts.
Jay is from District Two, a secret rebel. Jade died in the Games.
Oh! CJ sneaked into the Capitol with her older siblings despite being specifically forbidden to do so, and is now setting something on fire. Ceasar practically gave her a permission by calling her "a little firecracker" in the interview with Harry.
The Smees were supposed to watch her, but the Smees couldn't be paid enough for that.
I'm almost certain I forgot someone. Please, ask if I did or if you find something interesting and want me to elaborate?

The Lost Revenge
Captain: Uma Triskelion
First Mate: Harry Hook
Quartermaster: Gulliver ‘Gil’ LeGume
Master Gunner: Ivy de Vil
Medic: Bronwen ‘Bonny’ Callahan
Main Cook: Claudine Frollo/ Desiree Marinos
Boatswain: Desiree Marinos
Assorted Members: Jonas Marinos, Ethan ‘Gonzo’ Blakeslee, Clement ‘Clay’ Clayton, Maighread ‘Maggie’ Mim
The Lost Revenge is one of two gangs that run the docks and surrounding territory. Unlike other gangs, The Lost Revenge and The Shattered Hope prefer to settle territory and other disputes between themselves, never bringing in any outside gangs.
The Lost Revenge, while rarely challenging themselves, is most often assisting others in territory disputes, especially when the opposing party is the Dragon’s Blood.
The Lost Revenge has a reputation of being one of the most loyal of the gangs, with members rarely leaving on their own accord and willing to defend their captain for any reason.

Ok so
The Locked Tomb but Descendants
Story is the same. (Oof sorry folks)
Second House
Necromancer Harriet Hook
Cavalier Lonnie
Harriet is a warrior first and foremost, she will fight. (Plus her siblings fucked off so she now is under surveillance so she can't slip away)
Third House
Necromancer Mad Maddy Mim
"Necromancer" Ginny Gothel
Cavalier Anthony Tremaine
This whole idea started with Anthony is third. Now how is he? Also they are very few people that could pull off the twin whatever the fuck they are dynamic. And the complicated dynamic with the cav? It has to be them
(Also Ginny crying over Anthony's dead body? Maddy using that body to kiss Ginny? Ginny falling in love with Harriet?
Fourth House
Necromancer Celia Facilier
Cavalier CJ Hook
CJ was Freddie's Cavalier, before she "died" (fucked off to the 5th house.) When that happened, she was pulled back to care for Celia
Fifth House
Necromancer Uma Triskelion
Cavalier Harry Hook
I know. I see it too. But Uma having this energy of bringing people around her plus the absurdity of not giving a shit about how bad things are. Beautiful
Sixth House
Necromancer Carlos de Vil
Cavalier Jay
The devotion. The determination of no this will work, he said so. I'm sorry they're perfect
Seventh House
Necromancer Evie
Cavalier Doug
Yeah they dead. They big dead. But the idea of sustaining and finding beauty within the dead fits so well with evie. And the gentle giant theme with Doug? Perfection
Eighth House
Necromancer Claudine Frollo
Cavalier Marya Rasputin
It just works. Could it be switched? Sure. But Marya is a better fighter so Cavalier she goes
And Finally, Ninth House
Necromancer Audrey Rose
Cavalier Mal
This fits Audrey so well. And the hatred? The fuck u, let's do this? The gay? It's mal.

Isle dreamer.
Where the Hook siblings assume CJ died. Set during wicked world, before D2
! TW!
-Character death (Let's pretend CJ is dead and not in Auradon for the sadsies)
-Depictions of grief.
——————————
Harriet went to sleep without thinking a lot about CJ being out for the night. Her sister was that way, she would never come back home in the estimated time. CJ would always come back one hour after her curfew, just to mess around with them.
Plus, she was with Freddie. If someone could put some reason into Calista’s head that was definitely Freddie.
So there was apparently nothing to worry about.
She stopped worrying about CJ coming home to sleep when the latter was around 11, ever since then CJ would sleep ‘Wherever the night caught her’ and take turns sleeping in the Jolly Roger, The lost revenge, Freddie’s house or Harriet’s ship; The crimson zephyr. She had that bad habit.
Her sister was just that careless.
And Harriet had given up with her a long time ago. Once she found CJ eating breakfast in her ship’s kitchen, which would’ve been normal if her sister had slept in her ship the previous night.
Harriet honestly didn’t care about that. She had learned to leave one window open and extra food just for CJ. It was better if her sister slept there than on the streets like the other children on the Isle.
Uma also didn’t mind CJ’s random presence on her ship, the pirate had just adopted her as ‘Harry’s annoying little sister that crashes here without warning’ and rolled along with it.
Captain Hook? He was sometimes delighted to see his daughter come back to her home and spend the night there, sometimes he would make it clear he didn’t want her there.
So, yeah. CJ spending the night out while she had explicitly told Harriet she would sleep in her ship wasn’t that much of a big deal. Maybe the Faciliers made something CJ likes for dinner and so she decided to spend the night there.
Oh well, she would just scold her little sister when she got home and that’s it.
Cj will be fine. She can fetch for herself.
So the following night, Harriet Hook woke up without too many worries inside of her head, half of those worries weren’t really related to her sister. They were mostly about her crew or the fact that they lived on a jail-island, nothing too bad or out of the ordinary.
She walked out of her cabin, heading to the kitchen. Greeting some of her crewmates in the process.
Claudine Frollo was already up, making breakfast for her crew. She was probably the only member of the crew who got up at the unholy hour that 5am was.“Good morning, Captain.” She said, serving some crepes for Harriet.
“ ‘Morning, have you seen Calista around the ship?” The captain asked, sitting down to eat what had been just served to her.
Claudine shook her head no.
“Are you sure?” Harriet insisted.
“If she had slept inside of the ship, I would’ve heard her entering it. You know I have quite the sensitive ear.”
“Hm.True.” Harriet hummed, taking some last bites out of her breakfast. “She must’ve spent the night with Harry or Freddie. She’ll probably be back in a day or two.”
“May the lord be with her.” Claudine made the cross gesture.
Harriet just let out a sigh. “Yeah let the religious stuff from your dad for an actually dangerous situation, We’ve got raids to do.”
And so, the next two days passed by normally for Harriet Hook.
Her rutinary raids, antics, some robbery and someone being stabbed, whatever was normal for her.
But, during those days. CJ was nowhere to be seen. At least inside of her ship.
She woke up with a little of a hangover from drinking last night, walking to the kitchen with one of her hands holding an ice pack on her head to calm down the migraine.
Harriet barely opened her mouth, and Claudine already had an answer for her question. “CJ still isn’t here. And no, Sammy hasn’t seen her either.”
The captain sighed. “Don’t serve me any breakfast, give it to Sammy or whoever needs it. I’m going to the Lost revenge to drag that brat back home.”
Harriet could hear a small giggle before leaving. “Good luck with that rascal.”
The way to the Lost revenge wasn’t too far from her. The isle was quite small, so it was just around two blocks away from her own ship. The port was way too small.
She knocked three times on the wooden of the ship, some of Uma’s pirates looking at her with fear, and some others with respect.
Uma looked at her from the deck, looking like she wanted to cuss her out of there at first; but once she realized it was Harriet she only sighed. “Ah, it 's you.”
“Harry! Your sister’s here!” The fellow captain screamed so loud it could probably be heard on all of the ship.
“The crazy one or the normal one?”
“The normal one!”
And so, Harry could soon be heard walking towards the deck, then he jumped out of the ship. “What up?”
“Has CJ been sleeping here for the last three days?” Harriet asked, straightforward.
Her brother bit his lip, frowning. “I was actually going to ask you if she had been sleeping in the Crimson zephyr. Haven’t seen that polliwog around in a while.”
Harriet took a deep breath. “So she hasn’t!”
Harry shook his head no. “Might be at dad’s.”
The captain shrugged, wanting to not look lowkey frustrated. “Wanna search for her with me? Maybe Hook’s got her hostage thinking she’s Peter pan or something. She never stays with him for that long.”
“Oh I had forgotten she’s that guy’s age already.” Harry mumbled. “Count me in. Uma ain’t doing anything interesting today.”
And so, The oldest sibling nodded, walking across the port along with her brother.
The Jolly roger being so close to the Lost revenge it was almost comical it took them around three minutes to get there
Once they were close enough, Harry yelled. “Oh Dad! Would you mind talking to your children?”
Hook looked down at them, making some gestures with his fake hand. “I do it every once in a while. What do you want now?”
“Have you seen Calista? Or, a child resembling Peter Pan lately?” Harriet asked, her arms crossed.
Their father frowned at the mention of that boy. “My little girl? Nope, and I wish I don’t see that hellish boy or anyone who resembles him again.”
Harriet sighed, turning around and walking away from the port (Dragging Harry along with her), refusing to listen to Hook any longer. “I believe him. If he had lost his mind he wouldn’t make it clear that Cj’s his favorite child.”
Harry decided to not argue any longer. Walking to wherever Harriet was going to.
Which seemed to be… The arcade the Facilier’s run?
How odd.
Harriet entered almost kicking the door open, her presence being ominous enough to startle most people inside of the arcade. She looked straight into Dr.Facilier’s eyes as soon as she spotted him.
“Has CJ slept here the last three days, Shadowman?”
“Easy there, Hook. I could ask you the exact same question about Freddie.” The older man answered, something in his voice made the phrase look like a threat. “Unlike your little sister she has some manners. She never sleeps outside of her home, much less uninvited. Where is my daughter?”
Harry almost walks up to Facilier, hook in hand. Yet Harriet stopped him.
“Where is my sister? They should be together. I’m not looking for a fight.” The pirate dropped her sword, and made her brother drop his hook. (Although he rolled his eyes when she did.) “Kidnapping your daughter would only make CJ hate me.”
The shadowman seemed a little more relaxed, less menacing. Yet he still looked stressed. “I’m serious. I don’t know where both of them are. Celia has been worried, so am I. We figured maybe CJ was keeping her hidden, or rather hiding with her.”
Harriet growled in frustration, picking up her sword and passing the hook to her brother.
“Whatever. Those two must be hiding anywhere waiting for us to lose our minds searching for them. I’ll tell you when I find them, so you can also ground Freddie for life for letting CJ do that.”
Facilier nodded, with a heavy sigh. Then the siblings left the arcade.
Harriet kicked a stone in frustration.
Harry didn’t know quite what to do. Looking worried was not a choice, though. “Maybe she is okay. Just playing hide and seek anywhere, just to toy around with us.”
Harriet bit one of her nails, not wanting to seem worried either. She could not show weakness in public. “Tell Uma and her crew to look out for her literally everywhere. My crew will do the same. No stone must remain unturned.”
Harry let out a laugh. “That polliwog will be so grounded when you get her.”
“She will not see the sunlight until she turns eighteen.”
And so, the day passed by.
All the raids planified for that day came to a halt. For both Uma and Harriet’s crew. The pirates looked for every street inside in the isle, every alley. Every business that could be a possible hideout.
Harriet’s crew even had to swallow down whatever fear they had left and enter Maleficent’s now abandoned castle. Still, no trace of CJ nearby. It seemed like her most probable hideout but there wasn’t a single trail of her or Freddie in there.
The search went on for two weeks.
Uma’s had looked inside of the Hell hall but even there, there was not a single trace of the missing girls.
Every alley had been temporarily invaded by the pirates in search for the girl, and no one was there.
Harriet had screamed her sister’s name time and again, and nobody answered.
During the second week, they had stopped searching and began raiding more often, in case somebody had the guts to hold hostage the youngest Hook child.
The hopes of Cj’s older siblings were high when the raids began, and they had in fact found some of the missing children of the isle who would then be sent back to their parent’s arms.
Nonetheless there was not a single trace of CJ or Freddie in any of those raids. When interrogating people, they claimed that they knew that kidnapping CJ Hook was technically suicide.
So, during the third week of Cj’s disappearance, Harriet and Harry stopped looking for someone living.
Harriet shivered, her voice trembled a little when she asked what might be the hardest question she had ever asked. “I need Uma to ask Ursula if she has seen any remains of CJ in the depths of the sea.”
CJ never learned how to swim unlike her siblings. Maybe she stepped on rotten wood whilst walking on the port and drowned.
Or maybe someone had killed her and dropped her remains into the sea.
They knew the villains were immortal, as she herself accidentally killed her father once. (In self defense.) But they also knew that VK’s could die. Everyone who wasn’t deemed as a dangerous villain was not immortal. How charming. Thank you, King Beast.
Whatever, Harriet needed a coat, her sister’s headband, anything. She needed to know what happened to her baby sister.
Neither of the siblings had the strength to tell their father that they thought CJ was dead. They just knew that he was probably drinking himself blind thanks to her daughter’s disappearance.
Harriet also wanted to do that.
Yet she needed to be sober to keep on looking.
She was angry at first.
Angry at the world who set this godforsaken barrier on them. Angry at herself for not looking out for her sister earlier. Angry at her father, for neglecting them in that way.
She screamed, smashed a couple bottles against the floor and punched a wall, yet the people in her crew knew it was best to let Harriet be.
Sammy told them that it was her captain’s way to go through grief.
Harry, on the other hand, seemed more maniacal than never. Whenever they attacked he laughed more than usual, he was more prone to burst out laughing after any inconvenience happened to him. He lashed out when someone mentioned CJ, too.
Uma was there to hold Harry whenever he broke down. She was there to at least tell him that his sister was probably in a better place now. There was someone to be Harry’s support.
Harriet did have Ginny to hold her down while she lashed out, and unlike Harry and Uma, she was not enough to calm her down completely.
Of course she appreciated her partner, but no romantical love could fill the hole her sister left in her heart.
Harriet had raised that girl. She saw her grow up, she taught her how to read and how to count, she taught her how to defend herself.
Had she done something wrong? Had she forgotten to look somewhere else?
Oh.
She did.
The underworld.
All the dead went there, and the god of the underworld was there, on the Isle. Maybe she could give her an answer.
Nonetheless when Harriet sat down to speak with Hades, all she got was disappointment.
Hades was no longer the ruler of the underworld during his imprisonment, the ones ruling it were Persephone and Nyx. Some other goddesses, or demi-gods. Harriet didn’t gave a single fuck about whatever divine status they had.
Persephone was the only one who could tell her if her sister was dead or not.
And Persephone could only come to the island during the winter. It is currently the beginning of autumn.
Great.
So she had to wait months to know if her sister was alive or not.
Harriet did her best to not break down when she reunited with Harry a couple of days later.
They picked up a couple of the few flowers that could be found across the isle, and some shiny stuff CJ would have wanted.
Since cameras weren’t a thing on the isle and they didn’t have a picture of the deceased girls, Harriet painted a small portrait of CJ and Freddie, although it wasn’t her main hobby or a sustainable one on the isle, she was quite good at it.
They made a makeshift altar on the Crimson zephyr, inside of the cabin where their little sister used to sleep in.
Neither Harriet nor Harry cried during Claudine’s memorial speech, all her time with Frollo had prepared her to host funerals; at last. Celia did cry for Freddie.
Claudine lit up a small candle on the altar for the two souls.
Harry didn’t have the strength to speak during the makeshift funeral.
Neither did Harriet, but she spoke anyway.
She swallowed down a tear while standing in front of the portrait of her little sister. “Calista was not a saint. Hell, she stole from us more times than I can count on my two hands.”
“Yet she never had ill intentions. I dare to say my sister was the closest we will have to someone being genuinely kind on this Godforsaken isle. I hope she is happy and in peace along with her best friend, away from this living hell. I hope that this is a reminder of the cruelty of King Beast. And I hope one day we will be able to break this down, so no more innocents will die with misery and pain being all of what they knew during their short lives. Calista Jane Hook, I hope you forgive your siblings for not being able to save you.”
Maybe she teared up while speaking, yet no one pointed it out.
Harriet doesn’t remember anything else that happened during that funeral. She zoned out, just thinking.
Thinking about how CJ used to tell Harriet about her dreams of navigating and seeing the world beyond the barrier she was born into.
She thought about how that little dreamer never got to see anything more than misery, and thinking about how they don’t even have a body to mourn her properly.
Did she suffer?
Did she go in peace? Did she thought about them while leaving?
What a waste…
Ginny had to drag Harriet to bed that night. She drank until she passed out, mumbling something about not being able to save her.
Maybe one day, the memory of the youngest Hook child will stop being painful.
It won’t be today.

After the fall of the barrier, Ben decides that it's long past time to set up a committee to investigate the Isle. He didn't even know that the villains had had children until a few months before he was crowned. What else does Auradon not know about the Isle?
So Ben and a few of his trusted advisors start looking into the Isle. He talks to the VKs, getting a list of births and deaths, of names and ages and causes of mortality. The VKs are all inclined to be very helpful.
Then he runs into a brick wall.
Turns out, Claude Frollo has been dead for approximately two years. But how? Finding a culprit is much easier than he thought. "I killed him," freely admits—
—literally every single person he asks.

Isle Kids being off putting or just plain off;
Tumblr media
Based on a dc bat family post I can't find.
Jay, Jade, Hermie Bing, and Yzla bending in ways that shouldn't be possible.
Carlos having a way with machines and animals that goes beyond what even his similar minded relatives can understand even from a young age.
Diego, despite being perceived as the 'normal' de Vil cousin, giving off a sense of danger when he smiles at Auradon adults who haven't earned his trust. His song and personality drawing people in like a siren call.
Reza knowing things no human should and having no light behind his eyes.
Evie and Uma having strangely enchanting personalities that draw almost everybody in.
Claudine Frollo, Eddie Balthazar, and Hunter de Vil being so quiet that people often forget they're there.
Harry coming off as unhinged in one minute and a completely normal dude the next.
Cj Hook and Ivy de Vil setting things like water on fire.
Lefou Deux creating toys after just looking at them. Having no idea what goes into them and just making them work somehow.
Hadie talking to what other people can't see even at eight years old.
Red screaming 'off with your head' when angry and seeing nothing wrong with it.
The LeGume brothers being inhumanely strong.
Ginny looking somewhat younger than she is as she ages.
Harry Badun never looking in the mirror.
Zevon being able to make potions out of nothing.
The Stabbington cousins being weirdly in sync to a point where it can't be a gag.
The Smee Twins knowing where the other is and if they're in pain when it should be impossible.
Celia and Freddie being able to convince people of things without much effort.
Dizzy being unnaturally cheerful.
Mad Maddy being strangely attached to dolls and talking to them.
Sammy Smee, Harriet Hook, Anthony Tremaine, and Jace Badun seeing something absolutely wild happen and not even batting an eye at it.
Rick Ratcliffe casually saving someone from drowning before continuing what he was doing without reacting to it.
Clay Clayton not staying down for the count when hurt and finding it fun.
The number of Tremaines and Madam Mim's grandchildren being untrackable because people just keep popping up.
The total number of isle kids being unknown as more and more keep popping up and keep disappearing.
Uma's crew (Jonas, Bonny, Desiree, Gonzo, etc) knowing where she is and believing in her without question when off the isle.
Just. Every single isle kid being strange in some way that anyone from off the isle (and even the isle parents in the early years) find off putting.
And no one knowing why or how.
The isle kids not even knowing they're off putting over half the time.

HARRY HOOK
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
age & birthday: 18. no one knows when his birthday is.
sexuality: bi
height: 6’
powers: he’s technically part pixie, but he doesn’t know how to use pixie dust like cj does
mbti: estp, the entrepreneur
background: being a son, hook often ignores him, and even hated him when he was younger, though it’s gotten better now that he’s older. he inherited his father’s temper (and it’s not helped by the fact he’s a pixie stuck under the barrier), so he often has rage episodes and even hallucinations. when he was younger, hook would lock him in the brig until someone remembered to find him during these episodes, so now he’s claustrophobic. uma and gil are the best at calming him, and the crew takes turns watching him when he has bad episodes.
residence: the lost revenge
affiliation: the lost revenge, the scarlet revenge, wyverns
weapons & fighting style: his hook, a saber
miscellaneous:
- insanely loyal to those he cares about, and everyone else can fuck off
- knows how to navigate using the stars
- he has a pocket watch, but he barely uses it
- he tends to be drunk, or takes whatever medication he can, to help with his hallucinations. sometimes it helps. sometimes it makes it worse.
- i’m not sure what type of hallucinations he has, i’d need to look into it more, but i don’t think they’d be very big things? idk.
- he’s close to his mother, but likes his father better (he’s desperate for attention)
- has dyscalcula
- he’s scared of losing himself to his anger. he doesn’t know where it comes from. he also sometimes has problems telling what’s a hallucination and what’s not.
- organized chaos
- he will tease people about their fears, unless they’re a friend and it’s clear they don’t like it. then he’ll punch other people for teasing them.
- he hears Absolutely Everything
- he prefers to be in large fights rather than small fights
- he’s lucid more with his crew, or his siblings. because of this, he’s barely left alone.
- hook gives him a hard time for being only first mate. he loves his position, and he wouldn’t trade it for anything, but he wishes he could earn his dad’s approval.
- he knows the most about rigging, so he often has to teach other crew members about it. he was the one who taught claudine about rigging, and now she handles a lot of it.
- absolutely hates loud noises, because sensitive hearing
- if harriet didn’t teach him something, he probably taught himself
- he tends to fake his craziness around people outside of the crew to intimidate them. it’s no where near as bad as he’d make people think it is, even if it is hard.
- bad puns are garunteed to make him laugh
- surprisingly, he has a soft spot for kids
- he’ll ignore his injuries, even though he’ll be the first one to yell at someone to see a medic. he will be forcing claudine to go see freddie while walking on a broken leg.
- can and will sleep anywhere. and then he wonders why he has back pain.

Soulmate AU
I wrote a thing. Please be proud of me.
(Soulmate AU – first touch leaves a mark. Only after a certain age though cos getting a mark when you can’t remember it sounds impractical and also creepy.)
Claudine uncomfortably tugs at the hems of her long gloves – the night is too hot for such a thing and yet, here she is. Dressed up head to toe in heavy fabrics, no skin in sight.
And she’s not the only one, far from it: In fact, most of the people in the party are dressed like this, save for few:
The Captain, of course, and Harry right at her side, as always. They laugh and flaunt their shared soulmarks shamelessly, as if they weren’t an impossible sin.
Villains can’t love, you see. They shouldn‘t at the very least.
And yet, those two don’t seem to care.
Claudine scoffs at that and turns away from them, carefully avoiding as much human contact as she can.
Her eyes turn to Harriet Hook, her first mate’s older sister. She, at least, has the decency to pretend that her soulmark isn’t what it is. Just a permanent bruise, you see, tainting her knuckles. Just all the fights that she gets to and that get to her, and she has the right hook to prove it. What a coincidence it matches the weirdly shaped <i>scar</i> on the nose of Anthony Tremaine, isn’t it?
(There is a rumour that Anthony hides another soulmark among the near-permanent dye stains at his hands, too; that the colourful streak in Ginny Gothel’s hair hasn’t always been there.)
Claudine doesn’t listen to rumours, though, she will have you know.
She also thinks this pretence of theirs would work a lot better if they weren’t basically eye fucking in the plain view of the whole deck, but who is she to say?
She scoffs at them and steps aside to avoid knocking over: Uma and Harry had decided to dance, pressed close together and with no regards for anyone who might be standing in their way. Obviously.
„Make room for Jesus,“ she hisses, hopefully not loud enough for them to hear her.
Harry glares daggers at her over Uma’s shoulder for a split-second before inevitably forgetting that anything but Uma exists in this word again, and Claudine shakes her head at that.
She ducks further into the crowd to get away from the dance floor, still carefully not to touch anyone, despite all the layers. Dancing is a sin, anyway, nevermind the spectacle the two of them are doing of themselves.
She comes to a freer place and shakes out her arms. People, you see.
Then she nods at Desiree and Bonny who are leaning at the railing and passing a bottle between them.
„Lovely to see you too, Claudine,“ says Desiree. Claudine makes a face in return. She did already greet them, so they should just shut up.
Desiree flips her middle finger at her and Bonny laughs; „Join us?“ she says, holding out the flask.
Sure, yeah, join them. That sounds reasonable. Claudine leans on the railing too and carefully takes the flask from Bonny. Their fingers don’t meet for even a second, separated by two pairs of gloves as they are.
„We were just talking ’bout the marks,“ Desiree’s slurring a little already, „Who’ll get theirs next and all that.“
Bonny giggles at her crewmate and Claudine decides that getting a drink counts as an answer. She lifts the flask to her lips.
„’m telling you, Bonny, it’s gonna be you! I mean, you get to touch people all the time!“
„I’m a medic, Desiree! Me touching people usually involves me literally sewing them up!“
„Yes!“ Desi’s giggling intensifies, „Imagine how cool of a mark would that make!“
Bonny rolls her eyes, takes the flask from Claudine, and proceeds to lightly thud Desi on the forehead with the bottom.
„Hey!“
„You deserved that,“ notes Claudine dryly. That’s just what one gets for talking about soulmarks so blatantly.
„Hey!“
„Anyway,“ interrupts Bonny, „It’s gonna be one of the Tremaines, I tell you.“
„How do you know they’re not hiding any marks under the dye already?“ asks Claudine offhandedly. At least something would the horrid dye be good for, then.
„Ooh now there’s a hot take!“
„Hey, you heard about Ginny and Anthony, right? I bet Harriet’s hiding a second soulmark too, I tell you.“
„How much are ya willing to bet?“
„How would you find out anyway?“ Claudine interrupts before the conversation sinks into an outright betting session.
„Oh I–“ Bonny clasps her gloved hand over Desiree’s mouth before she can speak and answers: „I’m a medic. I’d simply take a shift on Hope with Marya, Harriet’s bound to come sooner or later.“
That is… Reasonable answer, actually. And better that anything Desiree was going to say, Claudine is sure.
A whirl of red and gold flies around and Claudine presses further into the railing instinctively: CJ Hook. Hair unbound and gloves nowhere in sight, and honestly, it’s a miracle she didn’t lose her coat yet.
„…Is she old enough for a mark yet?“ asks Desiree, voicing everyone’s thoughts.
„I think so…?“ answers Bonny.
„Pretty sure this is her birthday party,“ adds Claudine, „So, yes. I think.“ Whatever. Time doesn’t really matter on the damned Isle, does it now? A year give or take, they’re all doomed already, so where’s the point.
„Right,“ shrugs Bonny, „Sounds right, yeah.“
Desiree just dissolves into laughter again: „Excuse to party as good as any! Now, gimme that!“ She reaches for the bottle Bonny’s holding.
„Girl, I tell you, if you turn up morning in the infirmary with a killer hangover, I’m not treating you.“
„C’mon, Bonny, you’re more fun than that!“
Claudine ignores her bickering crewmates, looking out into the crowd; looking for black-and-red-and-white, now matter how much she wishes she wouldn’t. There. On the improvised dance floor, right beneath her cousin’s makeshift podium: Ivy de Vil.
Dancing like there’s no tomorrow and showing off so much skin it should be considered a sin. Claudine looks anyway.
„Ivy de Vil,“ she says, interrupting whatever argument Bonny and Desiree had going on by now.
„What?“
„Ivy’s gonna be the next one with a mark,“ she clarifies. Just – look at her. She’s asking for it, tempting destiny in that daredevil way of hers. Claudine bites back a sigh and tugs on her gloves; she gets back to bickering with her crewmates and only looks at the dance floor sometimes.
She’s unsure of how much time has passed when Gil appears in front of her. „Claudine,“ he says, „Dance with me?“
She looks at him blankly, at the hand he held out in front of himself; he’s even wearing gloves now. Borrowed, probably, but still.
„Please?“
„Fine,“ Claudine sighs as she puts her gloved hand in his, „If you insist.“
He beams at her: „I do!“
She lets him lead her towards the dance floor and as they walk away, she hears a badly-whispered: „Hey! What about Gil’s soulmark?“
She thinks Gil only pretends he didn’t hear.
They dance for a bit, her back to the podium and <i>not</i> the crowd, which is nice of Gil, actually, but it also gives her an excellent view on Uma and Harry who apparently decided that the middle of the dance floor is the perfect make-out spot.
Whatever. It’s their ship anyway.
(It gives her view on the red-and-black-and-white, too, not that she cares.)
Claudine moves so that Gil’s body would block the sigh, and, well, if she sways a little? She’s just dancing, moving to the music.
(She shouldn’t do that either, but oh well.)
She can no longer see Ivy.
It comes as a surprise, then, when the de Vil heiress suddenly drops at them: „Claudine!“ she greets, kissing her on the cheek. Claudine’s mind freezes. „Gil! Gil, can I steal your dance partner away a bit?“
To his credit, Gil looks at her for any signs of disapproval or discomfort before he says that, yeah, sure, go ahead. Claudine doesn’t think she’s capable of thinking straight, though, not right now, not after–
She tentatively lifts her hand to her cheek, brushing the fingertip of the glove over the skin.
Ivy’s voice shakes her out of her mind a bit, her accent and „Oh, you’re both such dears,“ and still, she can do nothing but give her her hand and dance with her.
(Pressed close, entirely too close, but does it matter?)
Claudine can’t remember how long she dances when Ivy leaves her, how many songs it was. She just stays standing under the podium, trying to find her in the crowd. No such luck.
No comment from Diego either, that God.
„Dance with me again?“ Gil offers, and Claudine does. More people join them then, forming a circle and taking turns in the middle, and Claudine almost doesn’t mind it at all.
The party ends when CJ sets a house nearby on fire, proclaiming it her birthday surprise and gleefully cackling at the fireworks that go on and on through the cacophony; Claudine decides to leave for the crew’s quarters.
She doesn’t need to hear the older two Hooks and Uma yelling at CJ for lighting up shit at the port up close, thank you for asking.
Besides, the fire’s pretty: She stands just in front of the doors inside, looking at it, transfixed.
„Beautiful, isn’t it? So alluring.“ She hears Ivy say, but when she tears her eyes of the flames, the de Vil is gone again.
(If anything else catches fire tonight, it’ll be written off as CJ’s fault, won’t it?)
But she shakes her head and walks in anyway.
Walking around one of the mirrors scattered around the Revenge, shattered and cloudy as they are, she looks at herself briefly as she passes by. Just- Just because she wants to, you see.
She notices a smear of colour on her cheek: Ivy must have printed her lipstick on her with the kiss. She wipes it down with her sleeve absentmindedly.
It doesn’t go away.
It doesn’t go away.

My headcanon of a VK hierarchy
(Thank you wikipedia list of Disney Villains. I will be listing canon VK's that apply where necessary)
Rank 1 (Reflections) Kids of the "13 reflections of evil" (the 13 villains that are used most often in Disney's marketing). Often these are gang leaders (or at least high up in the gangs). Messing with any of them is a really, really bad idea. You're going to end up dead, or, if you're lucky, severely wounded.
Evil Queen (Evie) Chernabog Queen of Hearts Captain Hook (Harry, CJ, Harriet) Maleficent (Mal) Cruella de Vil (Carlos) Ursula (Uma) Gaston (Junior, III, Gil) Jafar (Jay) Oogie Boogie Scar Hades (Mal again, Hadie) Dr. Facilier (Freddie, Celia)
While some with strong connections to these villains (such as Diego and Jade) will be elevated higher due to this, they won't be in rank 1. They're more likely to be somewhere in rank 3 or 4.
Rank 2 (Big-name VK's) Kids of villains that might not be part of the reflections of evil, but still have big name recognition. Think of a disney villain, which ones outside of the reflections of evil are likely to come to mind first? Yeah, those are in here.
Examples, but not conclusive: Claude Frollo (Claudine) Horned King Tremaine family (Dizzy, Anthony, unnamed cousins/siblings of these two) Madam Mim (Maddy) Mother Gothel (Ginny) Prince Hans Shere Khan Yzma (Yzla, Zevon) Shan Yu
Rank 3 (Small-name VK's) The villains that are in movies but that you're not likely to name if asked for a villain, or even have to check a list for in order to remember them. I'll be listing their movie with them.
Examples, but not conclusive: Amos Slade (Fox & The Hound) The Stabbingtons (Tangled) Edgar Balthazar (Aristocats) The Ringmaster (Dumbo) (Hermie)
I truly am not in the position to give more examples in this rank since it really depends on each individual person tbh, but you get what I mean.
Rank 4 (Protected) Sidekicks, family, gang members, kids; if they are under the protection of higher ranked VK's they go here. This is where Jace and Harry Badun, as well as Reza, would fall. Possibly the Smee kids, Diego, and Jade too, but those might be able to make it into rank 3.
Rank 4 might have a hierarchy within itself, but it's not as formal as the actual isle hierarchy. For most if not all kids on the isle, this is the highest rank that one can climb to; anything higher than rank 4 is unachievable.
Rank 5 and lower Honestly, these are harder to be specific about since we don't really have any examples. These kids aren't really VK's. Their parents were sent here for crimes, yes, but they're not villains the same way the above are. Crimes can range anywhere from minor offences to murder. There is likely a rank system between them too (which is why I listed it as rank 5 and lower) depending on the crime the parents committed, but ranks 4 and up don't often bother with them unless they're recruiting (in which case the ones joining go up to rank 4)
