I know it’s been a while but I think it’s high time I show off my take on the next gen. This was a lot more kids than I had originally planned but I love them all. I’m going to be doing some chapters with them all at some point. And I’m going to do a bit more with Antonia and the Morgangor baby later as well.

First came Shauna Giladrigal, the daughter of Mary and Seamus. At 10-years-old, she’s a mermaid werewolf and was a preeme. I know you’re not supposed to have a favorite child but Shauna’s my favorite. She may appear more quiet and reserved but she’s actually the ring leader of the next gen. If these kids get into trouble, you can grantee that it was Shauna’s idea.

Then, only a month later came Petunia Strickler, the daughter of Jim and Claire. She’s a wizards and a polymorph changeling. She’s the most high energy of all the kids and is my precious chaos gremlin. She loves all of her family, particularly her Tio Enrique, but she’s closest with her cousin Shauna since she and Jim lived with Mary and Seamus for a while after her Mami, Claire, died.

Less than a month after Pet was born came Isaac Scaarbach. The son of Toby and Darcy, he’s an Akoridian like his father before him. However, he only has two arms in his Akoridan form. His family often travels between Earth and Akoridain V so he gets a good blend off both sides of the family. He, Petunia, and Shauna are kind of the new “Dream Team”. In their escapades, he’s the brains of the operation.

Another favorite of mine is Fialkov “Flip” Terron-Pepperjack. At 10-years old, he’s a fairy-Akoridian hybrid. Headcannon time! Like the trolls, Akoridans have multiple ways of making biological children. One such way is with a sort of incubator. More information on that in the upcoming chapter. I love his design so much and I had a lot of fun working with him. He’s the only on of the next gen to not have a natural human form so he uses a disguise similar to Aja and Krel in the show sometimes but not often. He can retract his wings though, like Eli can.

Not long after Flip, Lawrence “Larry” Terron was born, the nine-year-old (Nine and a half!) son of Aja and Steve. Steve never wanted to change his name but he also didn’t want to pass it down so he and Aja agreed that their son would only have her family’s name. He is a human and Akoridian but, much like Toby’s biological father, he can’t transform into an Akoridian. However, with access to Akoridian V that Ralf didn’t have, the family is able to see other Akoridian traits that he does have. He has Aja’s eyes, he can breath in atmospheres most humans can’t, and he will have the Akoridian lifespan.

The oldest of the lot came a bit later in Eudora Scaarbach. The adopted daughter of Toby and Darcy, she’s a 15-year-old selkie. Other than Shauna, she’s probably my favorite and I have so many plans for her. Toby mentioned as far back as book 1 that he wanted to adopt when he grew up and he and Darcy adopted Eudora when she was six and Isaac was only a year. Her biological family may be gone but there are plenty of other selkies in Arcadia/Avalon by this time that she, Toby, and Darcy have plenty of resources if they ever have any questions or need any help. However, being a lot older than the rest of the kids, she actually spends more time with Douxie’s apprentice, Enrique Nunes. (Also, I got to experiment with more pens again when working on her pelt!)

Not long after Eudora joined the family Otto “Ottie” Arthur Giladrigal came along. The adopted son off Seamus and Mary, he’s a werewolf-vampire hybrid and yes, that is the name his birth parents gave him. They found him while doing work abroad with a werewolf pack. He was among the pups but they struggled to feed him after his parents died and his father’s vampire clan refused to take him. Now, he has free reign of Heartstone Trollmarket and has regular contact with the Avalon Vampire clan. He runs with Seamus, Shauna, and the rest of the Avalon Werewolf pack on the full moon. Vampires age more slowly, like the trolls. So, though he only looks about six, he’s actually closer to 18. Which is fine since Mary doesn’t really age anymore as The Lady of the Lake.

Then, as seen in my Ajim week story “Heirs”, came Karl Strickler, the son of Jim and Aja. He really is five. Claire died when Petunia was just a baby and Aja and Steve split amicably when Lary was just over a year old. Aja and Jim started dating when the kids were three and they got married a year later. A year after that saw the birth of Karl. A polymorph changeling, his troll form actually resembles a stone Akoridian. He’s a bit more shy then most of the other kids, and prefers to spend time with his parents and his troll family in Heartsone or wandering the halls of the Avalon Castle.

Finally, the baby of the family, Lenora “Lenny” Giladrigal. The two-year-old daughter of Mary and Seamus, she’s a werewolf and mermaid like her sister and was also a preeme. It was then determined that a non-werewolf likely could not carry a pup to term. Mary and Seamus had decided to wait a long time before trying again to have another baby so Lenny’s a lot younger than the rest of the next gen.

Ah mais j'ai vraiment très peur pour Blood & Cheese. Sara Hess a déjà confirmé que la série aura sa propre version des faits. Leur propre version ??? Purée, mais c’est tellement simple et limpide “Œil pour œil, fils pour fils. Lucerys sera vengé”. Un enfant de cinq ans comprendrait cela. On peut pas faire plus claire. Qu’est-ce qui ne va pas chez eux ?? Pourquoi avoir voulu adapter Feu et Sang si c'est pour absolument tout changer et détruire ??

1- Ils vont utiliser B&C pour créer un fossé entre Daemon et Rhaenyra, rendre Rhaenyra encore plus faible, passive, et pleurnicharde qu'elle ne l'est déjà, tout mettre sur le dos de Daemon et le diaboliser encore plus. Peut-être même que Daemon ne dira rien de ses projets à Rhaenyra. Elle va probablement voler jusqu'à Port-Réal, se faufiler discrètement dans le Donjon Rouge et avertir Alicent des plans de Daemon. 2- Alicent qui usurpe le trône à cause d’un malentendu, Aemond qui assassine Lucerys par accident, Criston qui assassine Lord Beesbury par accident, Larys qui assassine son père et son frère parce qu’il a mal compris Alicent... B&C se sont emmêlé les pinceaux, ont mal compris Daemon et tué l’enfant au lieu de le kidnapper. Ou Daemon a demandé la tête d’Aemond mais quelque chose d'imprévu arrive et B&C s'en prennent à Jaehaerys. Quoique les malentendus et les accidents c'est uniquement réservés au Verts, histoire de les décharger de toute responsabilité et qu'ils n'aient pas à affronté les conséquences de leurs actes. 3- Ça va être commandité par Mysaria parce que les Verts ont essayé de l’assassiner dans l’épisode 10, ont brûlé sa maison et probablement tué beaucoup de ses amis et leurs enfants. 4- Un scénario à la Young Griff, un échange de bébé. Ils l'ont déjà fait pour Laenor. Les scénaristes sont clairement pro-Verts et refusent d'accepter que la lignée d’Alicent s'est complètement éteinte et que ce sont les fils de Rhaenyra qui ont perpétué la lignée Targaryen. Ils ont une approche centriste/apolitique, “les deux côtés ont tort”, au moins un des descendants légitimes d’Alicent doit survivre à la guerre et poursuivre sa lignée (tu va voir que la série va effacer Daenaera et Jaehaera deviendra la mère des enfants d’Aegon III, afin d'unir et réconcilier les deux lignées fratricides).

1) Déjà les fondements même de Blood and Cheese ont été altéré à l'épisode 10 de la première saison. Daemon est sans émotion, les scènes où il est en deuil pour Visenya et la scène où il apprend la mort de Lucerys ont été coupées, aussi Daemon est devenu un monstre assoiffé de sang qui veut commencer une guerre pour satisfaire son égo, tandis que dans le livre c'était Rhaenyra qui voulait tout de suite attaquer et c'était Daemon qui la retenait. Donc dans ce contexte, Blood et Cheese est juste le résultat de la mégalomanie et le character violent de Daemon, tandis que dans le livre, ça vient d'un état d'esprit de deuil et de colère justifiée. Et oui, c'est clair que Rhaenyra ne sera pas du tout d'accord avec ça.

2) En fait dans le livre, selon une des versions de cet événement, c'est mentionné que le but initial c'était Aegon mais ils n'ont pas pu le trouver et c'est pour ça qu'ils ont attaqué l'enfant. Donc dans ce cas spécifique, il y a une possibilité que Daemon ne soit pas tout à fait au courant. Mais je suis certaine que Sara Hess&Co ne vont pas adopter cette version et vont montrer Daemon comme un monstre absolu, ce qu'ils ont déjà fait, d'ailleurs. Les malentendus et accidents sont réservés pour les Verts.

3) Je crois pas, je crois que ce sera Daemon 100% pour les raisons que j'ai mentionnée.

4) Alors là au début je pensais pas que ça pourrait être le cas, parce que que Sara Hess&Co veulent montrer Daemon comme un diable. MAIS ça me paraît possible tout de même justement pour ne pas laisser la ligne des Verts périr comme ça. Probablement les deux branches vont être unies avec Aegon est Jaehaera, ce qui est encore plus pire 😂

not me sitting here glaring at the lack of micro level development in Fire & Blood trying to figure out what to do for Abrogail. The marriage to Erwin makes sense for Corrynna (even though we technically don’t know how he’s a Lannister, IDGAF). While the odds of Erwin become Lord of Casterly Rock are INCREDIBLY slim, and with Corrynna being from a minor house, it’s a good match because her father is Hand of the King, the Strongs are a super good family, good marriage choice. etc etc.

(If Larys is going full Littlefinger vibes here - Arguably you could say that either the twins are killed off during the war so Erwin becomes Lord, or their children marry into that direct line)

After Rhaena's death, the lordship was granted to Ser Bywin Strong, the brother of Ser Lucamore Strong of the Kingsguard.

House Strong held Harrenhal throughout the remainder of the reign of King Jaehaerys, and throughout the reigns of kings Viserys I and Aegon II Targaryen. Following the death of Lord Lyonel Strong, along with his eldest son and heir, Ser Harwin, in a fire at Harrenhal in 120 AC, the lordship passed to his younger son Lord Larys Strong, who continued to hold the title despite losing the castle temporarily to Prince Daemon Targaryen during the Dance of the Dragons.

So here’s some issues:

1. After Lyonel and Harwin die, Larys is Lord of Harrenhal. Because he’s on the Council, he can’t be there. There’s nothing stating he gets married, so

2. Do we assume then that Corrynna and her husband go to take care of Harrenhal? Does Larys plan to pass the castle to her children on his death? What’s going on here? Because this entire show is about inheritance laws and it seems like every region/culture has their own inheritance rules.

3. There’s no mention that after Daemon (The Blacks) captures the castle he kills everyone (I’m assuming on behalf of his stepchildren). BUT THEN When Aemond (The Greens) retake it, he kills everyone BUT Alys Rivers.

Re: Alys Rivers. Plot wise it’s just ‘Harrenhal is cursed, lets give it to Alys, lets not look too deep into it’ (it’s not like GRRM was thinking show things, F&B is just him having fun with world building stuff and I appreciate that). So I’m GUESSING we’re meant to assume that Alys is using her weird magic and bewitched Aemond to kill the rest of the Strongs there?

So Aemond goes to take Harrenhal. Larys is for the Greens. Killing every other member of House Strong (and I’m assuming there aren’t that many) is... a weird choice when you look deeper into it because the Strong family have declared for the Greens (regardless of Rhaenyra’s oldest son biologically being a Strong, but legally and on paper, he’s a Targareyn).

So are we meant to assume that Larys’ sisters both died then as well before having any children? The only mention of them is that they were there in King’s Landing. No mention of names, if they too died with their father and brother, etc. And how does Larys deal with that because sorry, it’s fucking WEIRD if he goes ‘welp it’s all good that you killed the rest of my family even though we’re on the same side’.

Claire brought up that Harrenhal is cursed, this all fits vibes, I agree, but now I need to figure out how this situation works. Because down the line,

What is Larys’ motivation? What is happening? WHAT

(also why the fuck is Alicent ALONE. She should have ladies! Her sister in laws? Nieces? Cousins? this is why Abrogail is Alicent’s cousin cause fuck that)

Cancer du foie : Michel

Mars 2017, Michel Lambert, 64 ans, suite à une perte de poids, puis une visite chez son médecin traitant, subit une batterie d’examens échographiques, sanguins, IRM, une biopsie du foie. Verdict : tumeur évolutive du foie, stade terminal. Un mois plus tard, selon prescription d’un gastro-entérologue, Michel débute un traitement chimiothérapeutique par comprimés à domicile. Quinze jours plus tard, suite à des douleurs atroces, divagation, 40 °C de fièvre, Michel finit aux urgences. Victime d’une infection dont on ne connaît la cause, Michel se retrouve perfusé sous antibiotiques dans l’attente d’y voir plus clair. Une cancérologue leur explique alors que douleur et infection sont liées aux comprimés de chimio. Deux solutions lui sont avancées : soit Michel sert de cobaye, soit il stoppe momentanément son traitement.

Sur la proposition de sa fille, Laura, qui s’intéresse aux médecines naturelles depuis des années, Michel arrête tout traitement médical. Les médecins remettent en doute tout ce qu’on tente de leur communiquer sans ouverture possible [ndr – dans mon propre cas, c’est pareil et écrit noir sur blanc, avec inversion accusatoire de l’attitude du médecin sur ma personne.]. C’est sous une décharge que Michel sort avec sa fille de l’hôpital.

Une [naturo]thérapeute (Laurence) conseille cinq huiles essentielles pour contrer l’infection. En 24 heures, la fièvre tombe, les douleurs disparaissent, Michel “respire” à nouveau. Laurence, la thérapeute, lui parle de la méthode Mirko Beljanski qui est à base de plantes (1). Le 30 mai 2017, Michel se lance dans ce traitement. À cette périodes, les AFP (marqueurs du cancer) sont à 250 413 UI/ml (la norme est < 7,4 UI/ml).

Lary, le fils de Michel, lui propose de prendre des jus de betteraves + carottes + oignons rouges + gingembre +curcuma qui aident à reminéraliser, par suite régénérer le foie.

En outre, Michel change son régime de vie. Il se met au cru et passe donc à un régime alimentaire anti-inflammatoire : plus de gluten, plus de lactose, aucune viande rouge, plus de café, plus de sucre… alimentation réajustée au fil des analyses pour ré-alcalyniser le corps. Une journée type : un test de PH, une douzaine de gélules Beljanski, des jus spécifiques adaptés à chaque situation, une alimentation adaptée aux besoins vitaux ; ainsi que des exercices de sophrologie qui tentent d’identifier les causes profondes de la maladie afin d’éviter les récidives. Michel avoue que cela n’a pas été facile.

Chaque mois, Michel suit l’évolution de ses AFP qui diminuent en trois mois, passant de 250 413 UI/ml à 635,4 UI/ml (la norme est < 7,4 UI/ml).

Michel se retrouve alors avec une ascite au ventre. Le médecin n’avait comme solution de le ponctionner à vie. Laurence, la naturothérapeute, leur conseille un jus spécifique à ces cas-là associé à un simple diurétique [ndr – on ne saura pas de quels ingrédients il s’agit]. En quelques semaines, l’ascite est éliminée.

Après des hauts et des bas, Michel, peu à peu avec l’aide de tout son entourage, s’est sorti d’affaire. Ses AFP sont stabilisés à 3,0 UI/ml, bien en dessous de la norme (< 7,4 UI/ml).

Things in the dorm have been, at best, quiet. Ruby hasn’t spoken about that email to anyone except in hushed tones to Sunny and Grayson, and even then, she doesn’t allow herself to talk in length. She doesn’t want to, and she knows why though she doesn’t want to admit it, and so all can do is stuff her thoughts down and let the knot in stomach keep twisting and twisting. That’s a lot harder to do when one of the stars of said email is sleeping in the same room as her. With Claire, things feel even more hostile than the beginning of the year, and Ruby finds herself keeping her mouth shut most days, or finding somewhere else to do her studying, only coming back to the dorm to sleep and change. There’s really no telling how long she can keep this kind of charade up, and it’s obvious to everyone in the dorm— poor Lari included— that the only reason Ruby won’t bring herself to talk about it is because she’s absolutely horrified by it. Claire’s not an idiot, she’s sure the other can sense the clear tension in the air and the way Ruby can hardly look her in the eye when they’re both in the room. She’s been half-expecting Claire to be the one to break the silence and snap at her for not talking, so maybe Ruby’s just been waiting for that sword to drop on her when the older one finally feels like it. She didn’t expect herself to be the one to say something first.

But when she comes back to the empty dorm, and her foot crunches on something hard and fragile, Ruby looks down to see smaller pieces of broken glass glimmering next to her polished shoe.
