ever  since  the  moment  luciana  was  born  her  life  was  orchestrated  ,  almost  like  performance  art  . there wasn't a time she could remember when eyes weren't on her and her family .  her  parents  had  always  been  the  type  of  people  that  wanted  it  to  seem  as  though  they  had  the  picture  perfect  family  .  pristine  ,  almost  to  the  point  where  the  family  seemed  plastic  .  and  that's  just  how  they  wanted  it  to  seem  .  the  wealthy  and  elite  family  all  smiles  and  handshakes  .  all  fancy  parties  and  sucking  up  to  all  the  right  people  . all the people that could get them further into that life of wealth and fame .

  luciana  and  her  older  brother  were dragged  along  to  anything  and  everything  their  parents  could  get  them  into  .  a  way  to  show  the  world  they  had  something  they  didn't  . . .  that their family  had  everything  .  the  perfect  little  family  ,  the  riches  ,  the  fame  . . .  it  was  everything  the  money  and  fame  hungry  parents  wanted , even if it was anything but the truth .

a question , was  the  life  they  lead  really  all  that  perfect  or  great  ?  not  at  all  .  luciana  knew  at  a  young  age  how  dysfunctional  her  family  was  .  the  way  they  said  one  thing  to  the  world  but  everything  was  completely  opposite  or  different  inside  . . .  it  confused  her  .  the  constant  distrust  in  the  people  around  her  and  this  loneliness  she  had  never  been  able  to  let  go  of began to creep onto her until it swallowed her whole  . 

the  moment  she  was  able  to  be  put  in  front  of  a  camera  ,  luciana's  parents  made  sure  of  it  .  putting  her  in  the  hands  of  any  and  every  person  in  the  industry  .  no  real  safety  net  despite  having  her  so - called  mom - ager  there  to  protect  her  .  if  anything  ,  luci  felt  as  though  she  was  less  protected  when  her  mother  was  around  .  the  way  the  woman  would  throw  her  to  the  wolves  just  to  get  the  attention  she  desired  .  wanting  to  live  through  her  daughter  .  playing  puppet master  and  treating  her  own  child  as  if  she  was  a  little  doll  she  could  bend  and  control  anyway  she  wanted  to  .

when  the  cameras  weren't  on  the  family  ,  the  issues  came  in  swarms  .  luciana  watching  as  her  mother  abused  different  pills and alcohol  ,  her  brother  drowned  himself  in  anything  he  could  get  his  hands  on , trying to silence the noise of heated arguments  and  his  father  cheating  with  various  different  woman  . luciana seeing things she shouldn't but felt she had to hold onto and keep secret . they were  a  broken  family  behind  closed  doors  but  the  moment  they  had  eyes  on  them  ,  everyone  would  pretend  nothing  was  wrong  .  a  smile  forming  on  what  was  once  a  miserable  face  .

as  much  as  luci  doesn't  want  to  be  under  her  mothers  control  or  her  parents  . . .  she  is  .  unable  to  really  get  out  from  under  their  grasps  .  at  a  young  age  she  had  went  through  something  traumatic  .  no  help  in  the  way  she  was  thrown  to  the  wolves  and  that  began  the  spiraling  that  luci  began  to  go  through  .

a  little  reckless  in  her  behavior  ,  although  under  the  radar  .  then  again  ,  she'd  always  felt  like  she  could  be  screaming  for  help  in  front  of  the  people  in  her  life  and  no  one  would  see  or  hear  her  .  after  an  episode  that  was  too  catastrophic  to  ignore  ,  her  parents  sent  her  off  to  a  nature  retreat  . . .  a  way  to  be  calm  and  become  one  with  the  earth  .  although  ,  they  didn't  want  to  address  the  situation  of  not  only  what  their  daughter  had  been  through  and  the  secrets  she  held  onto  but  they  also  didn't  want  to  believe  that  there  could  be  something  actually  wrong  with  her  . or something she could actually be struggling with .  instead  sending  her  off  on  a  pointless  journey  that  didn't  take  away  all  the  hurt  and  pain  she  had  been  through  .

once  back  ,  she  was  thrown  back  into  her  work  .  back  to  playing  the  part�� of  the  perfect  untouched  and  lovely  daughter  her  mother  wanted  her  to  be  .  back  to  being  the  little  doll  her  mother  wanted  to  control  .

biography: NICOLETTE MARTIN has always been a girl in love with the glamorous life. growing up, she had a stricter childhood than most, as she grew up back home in spain. things a lot different there than in the states, causing for a bit of culture shock there in the air for NICOLETTE when she did initially move. it didn’t, however, take her fairly long to grow into her own, as she quickly found herself socializing with others. though NICO can sometimes be a bit of an introvert, people typically tend to gravitate towards her since she is a very bubbly person towards those who do in fact know her. to those who don’t, however, she can come off as a snob in a way since she often doesn’t break the silence when around others. it’s not the case though, and NICOLETTE since her sophomore year has found herself at the root of untrue stories about herself from those she considered close friends. the rumors had become so outlandish that it in turn now has morphed NICO into the complete opposite of the person that she once was. the outgoing, bubbly NICOLETTE that most knew has merely vanished from the face of this earth and in her place is a now guarded girl. she’s still a genuinely kind hearted person, it just requires a bit more effort to see that side of her these days.

Georgette has always lived in luxury. she was a princess in her parents eyes. their pride and joy. their little girl might have been spoiled a little too much because Georgette was down right a brat. She didn’t know manners such as please and thank you. Hers were more along the lines of demanding for what she wanted. And god forbid you ever denied Georgette what she wanted. If you did you’d be speaking to her father or worse, their lawyers if need be. Only a few new of the true rotten side of Georgette. Most were graced with that fake smile she painted on every day. Georgette knew how to work a crowd and get people on her side. She wasn’t an idiot. Most who knew the real Georgette wondered how people liked the girl. The true her was down right awful - Manipulative, mean and heartless. Yet she managed to charm her way into the hearts of many. The girl had the city of New York eating out of the palm of her hand. It caused Georgette’s parents to divorce, the maid to become her new stepmother and Jenny Foxworth to become her new little sister - which Georgette did not handle well. She was no longer the center of her father’s universe. Her entire world was torn apart by his ugly mistake. In her eyes, they were no longer the superior Foxworth family that ruled over the upper east side of Manhattan. Oh no, their name was now tainted with her father’s infidelity. Georgette knew what side her bread was buttered on and decided to stay with her father. He was the one with all the money and connections. The mistake could be shoved under the rug with the snap of Mr. Foxworth’s fingers. Her mother couldn’t give her the luxury she wanted, as much as she adored her mother and disliked her father, she couldn’t afford to give up the life she had grown accustom to. So, she stayed and made her new family’s life a living hell.

If you thought Georgette was a brat before she was absolutely worse there after. She constantly blackmailed her father with his secrets to get what she wanted. Georgette new her father couldn’t have his name dragged through the mud again. So once again her father was wrapped around her finger, even if it wasn’t in the best way. All was well in her world again. She was still the princess in the household, she had a strong social media presence and influence, adoring fans, money galore and also happened to be a pageant queen. Her life was perfect yet again - with the exception of Jenny. Georgette chose to ignore Jenny’s existence. On hindsight, Georgette should have kept a closer eye on her sister’s antics because little did she know she’d be taking in a street rat as part of their family. When the idea of the Foxworth’s pretending to be Oliver’s guardians so he could enroll into Walt Academy, Georgette was highly against it. Of course it was Jenny and her mother’s idea to help the poor but her father offering help? That’s when a line was crossed. Georgette did her damnedest to get her father to reconsider, pulling everything out of her back pocket that she could. All her efforts ended in failure. Her father was dead set on helping Fagin not only for Jenny and Oliver’s sake but the fact he felt this would ease some guilt off his conscience. To make matters worse, Georgette was being sent to Elias as well. Not for school, but because Jenny had enrolled into Walt and her parents wanted the two sisters to get along. And besides, they had no family out there so the only person that could watch out for Jenny was in fact Georgette. It was some sort of sick twisted joke, that’s what Georgette thought. Being sent to Elias with her sister and a gang of misfits was some sort of punishment. Oh well, at least she had Beverly Hills to keep her sane and happy with all the luxury it could provide.

after almost twenty four hours after the submit has closed and 11+ hours of reading applications and making painstaking decisions, the long-awaited acceptance post has come. i’d sincerely thank every single applicant for applying because i really don’t lie when i say that i read through every single app and had to make some very tough decisions, some that hurt my heart because almost every app came neck and neck with each other. this entire experience has been surreal -- i never expected for my plot idea to take off so incredibly and for such kind words to be said about it. i definitely did not anticipate 43 apps to end up in my inbox and to have such dedicated and patient applicants. thank you so much to everyone who’s been a part of this experience already, i really, really can’t say it enough or articulate it well.

to people who are not accepted -- i really mean it when i say that i wish i could accept everyone. every single app went beyond my expectations, and if you weren’t accepted it is NOT a testament to your writing abilities or anything personal. having to pick ONE person out of so many apps, or ELEVEN out of FORTY-THREE ?? it’s nearly impossible. it breaks my heart to not be able to accept THIRTY-TWO apps that were so beautiful. i strongly encourage people who weren’t accepted to keep an eye on this rp in case any openings or expansions occur in the future, because i’d really love to have people reapply. i wish i could type with the conviction and passion that i’m feeling right now when i say that every app blew me out of the water, but now i’m repeating myself over and over again. ( if anyone would like feedback on their app or for me to send their app back to them, please let me know over the course of this week. )

    ❛ congratulations, you’ve had a beautiful baby girl ! ❜

    these are the words that francisco & nadya morales would never forget. for years, the power couple of barcelona had been trying for a daughter, after being blessed with a handsome son, alvaro morales. & then by some miracle they had her. a gorgeous, tiny baby with jet black hair & dark brown eyes. her name ? they called her valentina.

    that girl was a sweet child. she had a smile that could make the wind blow & a laugh so contagious that when other hear it, they had to join in, afraid of missing such an beautiful experience. she lived to make people smile, to see them happy & be the one who makes them happy. she loved to pick roses & to smell flowers, be surrounded by nature & love. she was happy.

    her parents were naturally busy, however. her father, being the owner a well-known &successful business, which had been passed down from generation was always travelling to different places, sometimes taking his family with him. whereas her mother was a model who people loved worldwide, so valentina, so small & young was left in the HANDS of her older brother.

    valentina grew close to him. he was like her best friend, he confident. he helped her with her homework & protected her from anyone who would try to do her harm. he loved her, & she loved him, & whenever all the family was together it was complete bliss to her. she couldn’t think of anything she wanted more than this.

    growing up, it was clear to see that valentina had talent. not only were her features soft& pretty, much like her mother’s, but she had a love for the camera & the camera had a love for her. she wasn’t quite sure what career she wanted, however her mother did. but as a child, growing up in spain & knowing little english, how could you ever do something with that ?

    she did, though. she was taken to small photoshoots at home to kick start her career, &for a relatively shy & timid six year old, this was scary yet oddly exciting. needless to say, valentina loved it. but she loved something else, too. at school, they did plenty of plays &productions which valetina threw herself into. she loved it. she loved acting & singing &dancing, almost as much as she did modelling. then she knew what she wanted to be — she wanted to be a model, but she also wanted to be an actress.

    she was comfortable. she loved her life & wouldn’t change a thing. but then her parents dropped the bomb that they were moving & val felt her dreams shatter into a million pieces. moving to america was hard at first. she barely knew any english & the city was intimidating. but as she lived on & met the tempest, the hellion, & the quixotic, things started to even out & as time when by she was pretty much in the same place she was before she moved.

( TRIGGERS ; CAR ACCIDENT, DEATH )     but then came that night. when the crash happened, her heart broke. she never even got to say goodbye to her brother which just made her hurt more. it made her nights restless ; she couldn’t close her eyes without seeing it so she seeked comfort in other people. she slept around, not really thinking about what people would call her. she needed the distraction, & distracting it was. her parents disagreed but she ignored them. she learned to separate her emotions from her thoughts so she became devious, flirtatious, poisonous. anything to forget about the empty feeling in her chest.

    over the years, val has altered incredibly & now works as model for img models. she goes to college, however recent opportunities have made it so she hardly has time for it any more & so tends to cut class to work on her acting career. she tries her best to work her schedule around her friends as well as her arrangements for the night time. never the same person, is a rule she’s set for herself. she’s scared of attachment & anything that could mess with her feelings. god help everyone if that happens.

PERSONALITY ;

val has two sides to her. there’s the sweet side, which can throw people off when they experience her devil side. she’s been described before as a ’ quiet genius ’, meaning that she can seem all cute & innocent but in the meantime is probably planning your downfall. she’s incredibly destructive, reason being why she doesn’t believe in romance or love so her interest in the tempest is quite confusing &annoying for her. but val can be very possessive & jealous, so if she ever found out about the quixotic’s feelings she’d probably flash a smile but secretly would be thinking of all the ways she can destroy them. even though they’re one of her best friends & val is incredibly loyal, nobody gets in the way of what she wants. val can be very withdrawn, however, which would probably be an issue for the hellionbecause she’d rather be out sleeping with someone than she would talk about her issues.

HEADCANONS ;

001 ; valentina is more known for her talent in modeling & acting, but what many people don’t know is that val loves to dance. since she was a child, whenever a song came on the radio she would be moving whatever she could in the back-seat of the car & one time, when she & her brother went to the mall her favourite song came through the speakers & she just dropped what she was doing & started dancing. she’s an avid fan of music & so can dance to any song, especially spanish songs because that’s a part of her heritage & they’re generally good for dancing.

002 ; val is a very dedicated vegetarian. she says it’s to aid her diet ( because god-forbid if anyone thought she cared about anything for one second ) but in truth it’s because she’s highkey against animal cruelty & won’t eat something that another creature has died for. to be honest, she has a huge love for animals & is the ambassador of a cause that’s fighting against animal cruelty, & although her reasons are genuine she tells her peers that it’s just for the promotion. yeah, right.

003 ; she absolutely loves roses, specifically white ones. whereas people are forced to believe it’s just because of the aesthetic — after all, everything val does is for the aesthetic — the reason is actually deeper than that. when she was little, her family went to a rose garden & her brother told her to pick her favourite rose. she spotted a pristine white one, the most beautiful thing she’d ever seen & he picked it for her to take home. the rose lasted a good couple of weeks before it died, leaving val feeling devastated. she’s never told anyone that story in fear they’ll see through her cold mask.

004 ; she’s an exquisite baker. before moving to america, she used to visited this bakery on the weekly. her parents were good friends with the bakery owner & so when val wanted to learn how to bake something new, she’d always go there &they’d teach her all their tricks. val likes to bake for her friends her friends on the daily yet claims that it’s just to pass the time rather than a genuine hobby, but if you go to her place you can guarantee that there’s always cookies on the table.

005 ; is still very connected to her life in barcelona. she visits her friends & family there as often as she can & loves indulging in her hispanic lifestyle. although spanish is one of her main languages, she’s fluent in many others & won’t hesitate in using them to her advantage should the opportunity arise. she’s very culturally orientated & still favours her old life, however she claims to love america more than anything & that clouding her emotions is the best thing she ever did.
