The morning that Firestar, Sandstorm, Leafpaw and Squirrelpaw would leave for Shadowclan had finally arrived, and Leafpaw’s stomach was tied up in knots. She had finally agreed to go a few days ago, but only because she felt like declining would ruin her parents’ diplomatic mission. 

Well, maybe not only that��� Ever since she had spotted Hawkpaw at the gathering, Leafpaw wanted to talk to him, and she wasn’t sure why. Her parents had wanted her to befriend him and Mothpaw anyway, so it was really just furthering their goals and the good of the clan, she told herself. Sorreltail, Thunderclan’s newest warrior, trotted up to her as she waited beside Cindersong’s den, pulling her from her anxious thoughts.

“I’m so excited for you guys! I really hope you have a good time!” Sorreltail meowed. Leafpaw brightened a little, warmed by her friend’s excitement. She hadn’t had a lot of time to talk to her since she had passed her assessment last week.

TMIT: Tell us about some major relationships he's had over his life, please.

"One of my first major relationships was established pretty quickly out of the boarding house I was raised in. Alhaen Summerfall needed more hands on his worksite and I desperately needed a job. He hired me to sort supplies for his builders' ease. Eventually they gave me a hammer and taught me how to do skilled labour around the site from build beginning to end. Alhaen was my Foreman for decades, and he made sure I understood budget and project management so I could take over for him if need be. Use those skills still when I'm setting up camp layouts and establishing fortifications.

Synel Dawnspirit was the landlady of the boarding house I'd been left in as an infant. I wouldn't call her a mother, but she made sure I was fed. Other tenants pitched in with clothes and books over time, but she was pretty adamant that nobody take me to an orphanage. Pretty sure she was profiting off me in some kind of tax scheme, but whatever pays the bills I suppose. She gave me the last name Cindersong.

Ale Barm was a mouser that lived in the supply sheds around Light's Hope for a while. Little brown tabby with white socks. She was a good cat, loved to visit. Probably because I always snuck her some of the dried jerky we would get for rations."
