What Happened to Blair Flannigan after GX?

Alexis Rhodes : So yeah...Well, apparently. Blair Flannigan that used to duel with us, is kinda dead for some reason. She did not make it on Arc V after I saw her on tv as a cheerleader who also died after seeing her as a cameo.

Yuya : Really? How did that really happened?

Alexis Rhodes : Well, uhh...

*flashback*

Alexis Rhodes : Hold the phone! You quit dueling and went on being a cheerleader!? I saw you on the screen and on TV! No wonder why you left duel academy and never came back to dueling.

Blair Flannigan : You thought that dueling would be great, but turns out my life as a cheerleader didn't really matter to me! And now I feel like a washed up loser after Jaden left.

Alexis Rhodes : Is there something that you can do for yourself? I mean, you're Blair Flannigan, and you are a duelist that knows something important about duel monsters, but then you threw your life away and became a cheerleader now I understand why you've been chumley's replacement for the past years. Does that make you sound cool? I think we're gonna give you a better job than cheerleading. So much for you to have the attention since Jaden left duel academy.

Blair Flannigan : Hey, Alexis. You know something what I needed something for my life?

Alexis Rhodes : Uhh, okay. Sure.

Blair Flannigan : I think to start something to do instead of cheerleading, I think I'm going to do something for what I must do after Jaden left. I did become a slifer red after you told me about being at duel academy since 4kids dropped the balls to hid the real ending where Jaden really left duel academy.

Alexis Rhodes : Of course, which is why he never returned and never came back.

Blair Flannigan : Of course, but there is a way to see Jaden back again. I just know Jaden Yuki. Because I wanted to do something for him and that's exactly what I'm about to do, instead of being a cheerleader!

Alexis Rhodes : That...That sounds awesome! How are you planning on reuniting with Jaden Yuuki?!

Blair Flannigan : Easy! I got the perfect plan, and I know how to see Jaden Yuuki again.

Alexis Rhodes : And how does seeing Jaden Yuuki could possibly be at the return from GX?

Alexis Rhodes : I don't know, Yuya. How I do know that Blair Flannigan died of something?

Blinky : Oh yeah, I know how that ex-duelist/cheerleader died of something that you all know it. And she barely knew that she did the same thing as I did.

Alexis Rhodes : Like what? What was the same that she did the same thing as you after both of you died?

Yes! This is how we get good human side characters!

G1 had lots of feral and competent humans!

Carly is a fantastic example! She was hijacking the Autobot weaponry to go diving for Decepticons, which didn't quite work out, but she was driving also circles around Devastator to go barreling into the Space Bridge where she ended up telling off Shockwave for blasting her car before gallivanting around Cybertron to get nutrients that would save the Autobots. All around A+ human companion! Impressed both Wheeljack and Ironhide! I wish later cameos did more than just make her Spike's girlfriend/wife.

Raoul! Oh Raoul! Lied straight to Megatron's face about the car he delivered (Tracks) having a bomb inside it and, when Megatron tried to take him hostage, went "nope!", opened up a panel on the big bad warlord himself to spray something weird on his circuitry, and ran off with Tracks.

Dr. Harding jumped out of a window (woman was an engineer! Smart! She threw a chair through it first) to escape the mind controlled robots trying to catch her and was all around great one shot human who could have made a great recurring character.

I hesitate to list Chumley because that episode was... The most episode of season 2, right there along with Child's Play. But the guy and his manservant played the Most Dangerous Game with the Autobots and captured many.

Chip Chase, who also has the extra distinction of being in a wheelchair. Rolled right up to Devastator to slap a control device on the chair so the Autobots could stop him. Getting kidnapped by Ravage wasn't stopping this genius either!

Astoria, the most feral of them all, got thrown around a lot and still was thirsting after the robot man over twice her size.

Can't forget Dr. Fujiyama who made a giant female ninja robot... Because, if you're going to be making a giant robot anyway, why not?

Spike may have been kind of annoying and needed rescuing himself pretty frequently, but he was still right there to fight alongside them and was firing guns meant for the 20ft tall robots.

And of course! Marissa Faireborn! Ready to fight along the Autobots at every turn and was 100% ready to tear a Quintesson to pieces with a Sharkticon right there when it looked like Ultra Magnus was going to die. She was also working alongside the Technobots and, while Computron was a massive nerd, the individual members of gestalt are all very obviously products of Grimlock.

If your humans can't hang with G1 humans, are you even writing them right? (Earthspark humans would be right at home.)

((I was stuck between doing a fic for Belowski or Chumley, so I picked both! With a cameo of Leysa doing the mom thing))

Belowski yawned as he woke up on the lumpy surface. It didn’t feel anything like the concrete of the roof he had passed out on or the environment of the dome.

He sat up and looked around; it looked like he was in a rickety old house. He then noticed a large boy who kind of looked like a koala and a young woman wearing a pair of goggles. It appeared they were both in Slifer Red.

“Oh, good! You’re awake!” The woman smiled as she placed some tea, muffins and grilled cheese on the coffee table next to Belowski.

“Huh? What’s all this man?” He asked, confused.

“Welcome to the Slifer Dorms!” The woman smiled, “My name is Leysa Mutou, and this is Chumley Huffington. He brought you here!”

“Oh! Hey dudes!” Belowski mumbled as he helped himself to some grilled cheese. “Why am I here?”

“Well… I heard about what Crowler was doing to you, and well… that’s not ok….”

“What? No, it’s not a big deal, man! It’s nice there!!”

Chumley frowned at that. “I don’t know about that man… it sounded like Crowler was using you….”

“Wait, what do you mean- how did you hear? didn’t my power put you to sleep?” Belowski asked, confused.

“Naw, man! I was just exhausted because I went a full week without taking a single nap! That’s like a new record for me!”

“I was wondering why Jaden and Chumley weren’t affected by your duelling, and while Jaden’s comment about his passion for duelling was cute, it didn’t feel right. That’s when I realised that it was because all of you have one thing in common. The ability to see duel spirits!”

“Wait, so you can see the Des Koala sitting beside you? Really? Wow, cool, dude!” Belowski felt a smile grow. “That means there are people I can duel with without it affecting them! Nice man!”

Chumley turned to the Des Koala and smiled at it before returning to look at Belowski.

“About that… are you really ok about doing what Crowler wants?” Chumley asked carefully.

“What do you mean, dude?” Belowski asked, confused. “I mean, sure, I’m in the habitat most of the time, but I get to bond with my spirit bros and unravel the secrets of the universe and still duel from time to time whenever Crowler wants!”

“Well, you could always unravel the secrets of the universe with your duel spirits outside too!” Chumley rebutted.

“Huh... I never thought of that...” Belowski mumbled.

“Hey, Belowski... Can I ask you a question?” the senior Slifer asked.

“Sure, man”

“You mention you’ve always done what Crowler wanted, but when was the last time you did something you wanted?” Chumley asked.

“Something… that I wanted…?”

“You see, my dad wanted me to go home and join the family hot sauce business, while the staff at this academy want to see me either fail or succeed at duelling, and then there’s what I want...” he pulled out his sketchbook. “I want to become a card designer! Ms Mutou is helping me prepare a portfolio for some of the great graphic design universities and a potential internship at industrial illusions... My friends have also been a huge support in that regard. I... I can't remember the last time I've been so happy.”

Belowski admired the drawings. They captured the horizons and environments he had never seen before... He had lived on the island for so long he never got to see the outside world.

“What about you, Belowski? What do you want?”

“What I want...?” the small obelisk went quiet. What did Belowski want? When was the last time he thought about it?

“What I want... I-i don't know what I want!!” he burst into tears

Chumley pulled him into a hug and rubbed his back gently. “It's ok, man... It took me some time to work it out to...”

“I... I don't want to go back to the habitat...”

“I know, and you won't have to... Ms M took care of that!”

“What?” Belowski looked confused

Leysa smiled and sat down next to Belowski. “I’ve talked to chancellor shepherd, and we’re getting the adoption papers organised.”

“Adoption?” Belowski asked surprised

“You don't have to see my husband and me as parents or anything, but we’ll look after you, and my husband is a fisherman and pro duellist, so we sail around a lot. So you'll get to travel. But I am a few months pregnant, so you will have to be aware you'll have a little brother or sister on the way... Is that ok? Do you want to be a part of our family?”

Belowski’s eyes widened; part of a family? He had been left at the academy as a baby, Most likely from an affair between two teachers or two students. He never had a family, more like a series of caretakers, until Crowler became more his manager. But he couldn't really say he’d been part of a family...

He didn't realise he was still crying, but he nodded. He would love to have a family.

Leysa smiled and opened her arms “would you like a hug?”

Belowski nodded and hugged her burying his face into her chest. “Thank you...”

She smiled and hugged back-patting his head “there, there... It's alright!”

She smiled at Chumley and opened an arm to him “come on, you too!”

Chumley chuckled and joined the hug. He was glad that it all worked out.

“You're never getting locked away again!”

Leysa smiled her first metaphorical adoption and her first actual adoption in her arms. She was sure she could care for both of them and the many other students in her care...

Maybe there wasn't anything wrong with being a mom...
