“Alright.. I think that’s the last of it.” September stretched her arms up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. Setting up for her son’s Winter Formal dance was a damn nightmare. It was definitely the last thing she planned to be doing well into the night. But when only one other parent showed up to help her decorate the high school’s gym, they didn’t have much of a choice. The student made decorations luckily laid a little of the ground work for them. But there were lights to hang and tables to set up. Had he not been there to help her, poor September would have lost her mind. “Thank you for coming to my rescue here. I thought for sure I was doomed.”

“Are you alright over there, here let me grab that for you…oop!” Blake giggled as she used her quick reflexes to grab a falling bottle of frosting that a three year old had decided they no longer wanted to use. Sugar cookies scattered across the table in front of her which was being swarmed by both adults and children, she was trying to keep an eye on everything while packaging up a couple of already decorated cookies in a cellophane bag for a couple who were just leaving. “Which colour ribbon did you want? We have green, gold, red, silver, and … dark blue…” Running through the options before tying their bags with the choices and lifting her head to the next customer. “Hey! Sorry about that, it’s all go go go over here - but luckily we’ve only had tears a couple of times and mostly from the kids.” 

Obviously she was joking, there had been crying from toddlers dropped their half decorated cookies but not adults…yet. Once the mulled wine had been flowing a little longer that could all change. Maybe she had bitten off a little more than she could chew by doing both a stall that sold cakes and cookies on top of also having a section where people could decorate their own differently shaped cookies with various frostings and sprinkles - it was fun but it was a lot.

The guild master sang happily as she sat in the now heavily decorated guild hall. This was one of her most favorite times of the year. She even got a special outfit for the occasion. She was mainly going with the vibe of the season and just hanging out at the festive and rowdy guild hall.

「巫女」:: Looking outside brought a look of wonder to the miko’s face after La-chan announced that the white flakes were flurrying across the skies and air outside. And indeed, it was! The whole world was a swirling white...that shimmered and sparkled in the twinkling of the city lights. It was quite pretty and made her cold and want hot cocoa and very glad they didn’t have to go anywhere today!::

                 ::She exclaimed and turned her head to look up at Mulan as she suggested this- with a grin. A relaxing afternoon with hot cocoa on the miko’s bedroom window seat, (which she had had installed during her high school years) watching the snow and chatting. That sounded like a lovely time to her! She hoped it did to La-chan too.::

*It’s the time of the spooks, scares, horror movies and games, costumes and more! It is the month of October, also known as Spooky Month! Which mean, people are putting spooky decorations outside their houses, scary movies are popping up everywhere and tricks made to scare are more common then ever.*

*To say Ames wasn’t a fan of this month would be an understatement, this was one of her least favorite months. Everything was so scary and all the decorations looked so real and like they could just come to life at any moment and get her, she didn’t understand what was so fun about an entire month where all everyone did was scare each other and be big meanie heads. Though, she did like that she could wear big, comfy sweaters, and being able to get spooky new plushies, those were two, if not, the only two positive thing about this month she had.*
